Send us a textBuyers choose the path of least resistance, and that truth can either fuel your growth or quietly stall it. We sit down with Vistage Chair and “No Hassle” advocate Jim Bramlett to break down a four-part framework that makes customers stop hesitating: convenience, price transparency, user experience, and trust. From Amazon and Netflix to Uber and Nebraska Furniture Mart, Jim shows how category leaders remove friction so thoroughly that buyers feel they have no excuse not to say yes.We dig into the Hassle Score and why benchmarking yourself against actual competitors—not your intentions—exposes the real gaps slowing revenue and referrals. Jim shares crisp examples of conscious trade offs between price, convenience, and experience, and then explores how to narrow those trade offs with smarter operating design and practical uses of AI to cut cycle time, clarify quotes, and elevate support without eroding trust. The conversation shifts to the leadership habits that sustain these gains: resilience when plans break, coaching as the core skill of influence, and the surprising power of peer advisory groups where 80 percent of issues center on people, not strategy.Expect a clear path to uncovering blind spots through better questions, building a culture where vulnerability invites help, and leading across generations with curiosity and clarity. If you're ready to simplify buying, earn repeat business, and turn word of mouth into a growth engine, this episode gives you the tools and the mindset to start now.If you found this useful, follow the show, share it with a teammate who owns the customer journey, and leave a quick review to help more leaders discover practical, no-hassle growth. Thanks for tuning in to this episode of Follow The Brand! The Trump administration has moved to axe many Biden-era green initiatives. One project impacted is in Middletown, Ohio — the hometown of Vice President JD Vance. Environmentalists had hoped that the conversion of a steel plant there from coal to hydrogen-powered furnaces could be a blueprint for future eco-friendly upgrades, but that project has been canceled. Also on the show: collective bargaining rights for Uber and Lyft drivers and a U.S.-Australia alliance concerning rare earth metals.

From four consecutive Uber drivers from different African countries in Dallas to empowering thousands of motorcycle taxi drivers in Uganda, this episode reveals how God orchestrates divine appointments in everyday moments and business ventures alike.Discover how PureFlow started with just six motorcycles and $6,000 in a small Ugandan town and has grown into a hospitality-focused finance company serving thousands. It's a God idea. It is woven into the fabric of how we were created. Nobody would argue that we're created for people. And so why would we assume any different?" - Jared Fulks"If the business collapsed tomorrow, and it all just failed, which I hope it doesn't, I don't think it will. But if it did, the thing that I would take away most would be not the amazing people we've been able to hire, the thousands and thousands of people we serve, but it truly is the friendship and the brotherhood that I have with him." - Jared Fulks"Start with where you are, with what you have... What dream have you had that you feel is too big to pursue? One of my big dreams has always been to go to England, the country my maternal grandmother was from. But I don't like to fly, I was worried I couldn't do that much walking, didn't know how to figure out all of the planes, trains, underground, taxis and Uber logistics, etc. etc. I decided not to give into those fears, however, when my husband, John, offered to take me on the trip of a lifetime to England and Scotland to celebrate my 60th birthday and our 40th wedding anniversary. Having recently returned from that trip I can honestly say it was worth every bit of planning, every mile flown and every step taken to make the dream a reality. There is a story in the Bible where God had a wonderful plan devised for His people, a land flowing with milk and honey, but 10 men prevented that dream from happening because they were too afraid. This week, Guest Host Donovan Adkisson joins Jason DeFilippo to wade through the usual tech chaos; California is attempting to regulate the inevitable AI companion chatbots, which is timely, considering ChatGPT is about to launch erotica (with age verification, natch). Turns out, most of the world is less stoked about our algorithmic future than Silicon Valley is. Speaking of chaos, Elon Musk's Boring Company racked up nearly 800 environmental violations in Vegas, and his Starlink satellites are burning up the atmosphere, validating the Kessler Syndrome predictions (and ruining backyard astronomy). On the ground, Georgia Tech is deploying drone first responders, ensuring campus security is instantly airborne, while the UK's Online Safety Act slapped 4chan with a hefty fine. We also mourn a Crypto Kingpin who met his end in a Lamborghini following a market crash. Finally, beware that "perfect" house listing, as the owner likely used AI to virtually enhance that curb appeal. It seems even the guy who coined the term "Vibe Coding" admits that relying on AI for complex software is "Net Unhelpful," proving that humans still have to do the heavy lifting—a fact Uber might ignore, as they plan to pay drivers to train AI between rides. Speaking of dumb human stunts, some genius launched the "World's First Waymo DDoS" by summoning 50 robotaxis to a dead end. On the entertainment side, it's time to binge Gen V before Season 5 of The Boys drops; also, why did Apple rename Apple TV+ to Apple TV? The guys also discuss the eternal cultural resonance of Idiocracy and the perfection of Galaxy Quest (and its fantastic documentary, Never Surrender). On the work front, Jason switched back to Things 3 because life is too short for ugly software, even as Windows 10's impending end-of-life threatens to create an e-waste disaster. Also, Wi-Fi 8 is coming soon, because the recently ratified Wi-Fi 7 just wasn't cutting it.Finally, the Grumpy Old Geeks wish a happy birthday to friends of the show and offer remembrance for the recently deceased, including screen icon Diane Keaton and KISS founding member Ace Frehley (though, honestly, no one here watched KISS Meets the Phantom of the Park). Episode 694: Neal and Toby preview the incoming influx of part-time seasonal workers expected to surge this holiday season as the accessibility of full-time continues to be scarce. Then, Uber is giving its drivers more options to earn cash through completely small tasks – think of it like small side quests. Also, Waymo partners with DoorDash to deliver meals, but the biggest question is, who do you tip? Meanwhile, Neal shares his favorite numbers on the world's most powerful passports, phone thefts in London, and how well Americans think they can do practical tasks. Writer and director Laura Chinn (Florida Girls) discusses her memoir Acne, which tackles her racial identity, Scientology, and of course... very oily skin; standup comedian Mohanad Elshieky riffs on embarrassing encounters with TSA and Uber drivers; and multi-instrumentalist Jenny Conlee, of The Decemberists, performs "Hawk" from her solo album Tides: Pieces for Accordion and Piano. Andrew and Ben begin by examining the various structural forces and business decisions that led the U.S. and the West to cede rare earth mining and refining to China, including reduced friction at the expense of resilience n a variety of areas, predatory pricing that pays extra dividends in the commodities business, and why Ben is keeping an eye on the Middle East in the months to come. From there: Reactions to the news that Spotify and Netflix are partnering and pulling podcasts off of YouTube, with thoughts on the limits of that strategy and the difference between YouTube's cut of creator ad revenue and Apple's developer fees. At the end: Uber, Tesla, and Waymo and the shape of the future autonomous vehicle marketplace, Ben's thoughts on Tesla's Full Self-Driving, OpenAI's corporate structure, and ChatGPT embraces AI erotica.

When your values aren't clear, it's easy to chase the wrong deals, hire the wrong people, and build a life and business that drains you.Today, I sit down with Robert Glazer—entrepreneur, bestselling author, and founder of Acceleration Partners—to explore how defining your personal core values can transform the way you lead, invest, and live.Robert built a $35M global company serving brands like Airbnb, Uber, and Adidas, but his greatest success came from understanding what he valued most, and aligning every decision around it.In his new book, The Compass Within, Robert reveals how your personal core values act as a decision-making compass for both business and life. We unpack how to use that same framework to hire the right people, choose the right investors, and build a life of freedom that truly aligns with who you are.In this episode, you'll learn: 1.) Why really company culture starts with core values — and how defining what you stand for (and what you don't) helps you attract the right people and repel the wrong ones.2.) What Robert learned from his own private-equity exit—how he structured the deal, picked the right partner, and avoided the mistakes most founders make.3.) How your personal values can help you invest smarter—filtering founders, partners, and deals that align with your principles, not just your profit goals.Show Notes: LifestyleInvestor.com/260Tax Strategy MasterclassIf you're interested in learning more about Tax Strategy and how YOU can apply 28 of the best, most effective strategies right away, check out our BRAND NEW Tax Strategy Masterclass: www.lifestyleinvestor.com/taxStrategy Session For a limited time, my team is hosting free, personalized consultation calls to learn more about your goals and determine which of our courses or masterminds will get you to the next level. Instacart, Uber, and DoorDash are among 11 partners integrating with ChatGPT later this year, making grocery shopping "as simple as having a conversation." Walmart also announced an amorphous partnership with OpenAI. Chris is gobsmacked by the pace of disruption... just two years into the AI revolution. Anne predicts this will reshape UX design and consumer journeys entirely, forcing retailers to rethink how customers discover and purchase products.
