The important topic of Adrenal Fatigue is the perfect episode to air as this week marks 4 years of the Treasured Wellness Podcast! Let's go GOD!! As a form of celebration of God's grace and faithfulness towards this platform He called me to 4 years ago to "teach His children", I wanted to air one of the most downloaded episodes talking about a fatigue condition common in women over 35 that is often dismissed, overlooked and undiagnosed. Women are extremely tired… more so now more than ever… especially in the peri/menopausal season… and while they wonder if it's bound to be their new normal…they don't wanna LIVE tired. Stress and anxiety levels in Christian women are at an all time high. It's important that you understand that "it's not just you", you don't need to "suck it up & deal with it" and it's not "all in your head". Adrenal fatigue is real and your high-functioning fatigue (related to your stress levels) is important to address to avoid burnout. I pray this pre-recorded episode blesses you today! On this podcast episode, it's with so much honor and excitement that Jeff Hinshaw finally gets to share with you that he is the author of the Lonely Planet Travel Tarot. This project weaves together a deep study of the Tarot with reverence for the beauty of our planet. Each of the 78 cards is paired with a different location in the world. It's been over a year of research, writing and teamwork. The deck is illustrated in collaboration with the brilliant Studio Muti. The Travel Tarot is now officially open for pre-order and will be released in the U.S. on February 17, 2026, which makes this deck an Aquarius Sun with a Pisces Moon (quite fitting for such an expansive deck celebrating humanity). Also, on this podcast episode, Jeff Hinshaw is joined by cosmic sibling Joél Andres Collier of Doll Muscle. Formed in New Orleans in 2017 with composer/producer Bodhi Landa, Doll Muscle creates cathartic dream-pop anthems lush with synths, post-punk grit, and shimmering soundscapes. Their work explores queer love at the boundaries of gender and consciousness, offering listeners a warm, visionary sound that feels both intimate and otherworldly. Together they listen to Five Songs: Here We Are, Wizard, Steeplechase, XO, Allways, and Our Mother. We invite you to bring out your tarot deck and meditate with the cards that came up in our discussion: Judgement, Justice, Queen of Pentacles, Queen of Swords, and the 7 of Cups. We also explore planetary archetypes and Zodiac signs that weave throughout Doll Muscle's songs, including: Chiron, Neptune, Pluto, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio and Sagittarius. You may glean insights by revisiting these signs and planets in your own birth chart.

We women are notorious for helping meet other people’s needs, but not so great in knowing what to do with our own needs. But what if acknowledging our needs wasn’t a weakness but a doorway to God’s strength? In this episode, we dive into the story of the paralytic from Mark 2 and discover how faith, community, and vulnerability can transform our lives. Together, we’ll unpack what it means to bring our needs—emotional, relational, and spiritual—before Jesus. We discuss the difference between presenting needs and real needs and why Jesus sometimes doesn’t fix the thing we desperately ask him to fix. You’ll learn to delve into the need behind the need. We’ll also redefine “paralysis,” exploring the unseen barriers that hold us back. Whether you’re the one in need or the friend carrying someone to Jesus, you’ll be encouraged to persist in faith, break through barriers, and embrace the life oonly Christ offers. Then she brings in the groundbreaking research of Dr. Lisa Miller, Columbia University psychologist and author of The Awakened Brain, who has proven that spirituality protects the brain against depression and helps rewire us for resilience. You've built a beautiful life on paper but know there's something deeper calling you forward.I woke up at 5 AM with ideas flowing, and realized I needed to share an idea that's been crystallizing for me - the one ingredient for building aligned work that we often skip in our rush to "figure it all out."You'll hear about:The honest moment when I realized I was pouring my best self into work and had little left for what matteredHow being physically present but emotionally absent became my wake-up callWhy tending to your energy comes before any career exploration or purpose-finding exercisesWhy creating meaningful work requires the kind of energy that flows from being deeply nourishedThe simple foundations that actually restores you: quality rest, sunlight, movement that feels goodHow I found Qigong when my body was asking for gentleness, not an intense workoutWhy building work you love is beautifully non-linear and requires sustained inner resourcesHow my business pivot taught me that each iteration demands fresh creative energyThe truth about manifestation that nobody mentions: it takes life force to bring dreams into realityThe heart of it: Your dreams deserve to be built from a place of fullness. When you're running on empty, you can't access the intuition, creativity, and courage that your calling requires. This isn't about perfecting yourself before you go for your dreams. “How do I trust God’s heart when His ways and delays are breaking mine?” That’s the question on the table for this week’s episode. It’s probably not a question you’ve asked aloud, but anyone who’s ever been heartbroken, hurt, overwhelmed, or confused by life’s circumstances has pondered the question in her heart. In this episode, I sit down with Kelly Hall—mom of four, Bible teacher, podcaster, and author—whose story of resilience will inspire you. Kelly and her husband, an Air Force fighter pilot, have walked through extraordinary challenges as they raised their four children, three whom are deaf. Kelly is full of real life wisdom about how to hold onto hope when you can barely hold on. Through disappointments, devastation, delays, and seasons of isolation, Kelly has learned how to anchor her heart in God’s promises. She shares practical ways to shift your focus from circumstances to Christ, along with her acronym for HOPE: holding tight to God’s Word, opening your eyes to His work, and embracing His possibilities. If you’ve ever felt like you were drowning and needed someone to throw you a life preserver—this episode is it! As a Christian, don't you want to have stronger trust and obedience? It's a journey of faith for sure. And your midlife wellness is a journey too. Think about your last provider appointment. How did it go for you? Did you have more questions than answers? Did you feel heard and seen? Were you given a script for a medication you didn't want but you felt desperate enough to try it? Here's what I know: Wellness is a journey. It's not a linier line. It's ups and downs. Hills and valleys. Good days and really horrible days. Frustrating medical appointments, non answers, dreams deferred or dashed, confusion and overwhelm. And it's also, days of hope, clarity into what your body is telling you, joy in the process, accountability and support along the journey. It's mornings waking refreshed. Evenings with energy to take that walk you keep putting off with your hubby. Friday night activities with the family or friends instead of making an excuse why you can't come. Wellness is a journey. It's not a straight line. Especially in this midlife season. I wish it were but the truth is it's not. And yet, even in the journey…. It can be easier. Doable. Simplified. We just need to lean into what God says in His word. We all need this word from the Lord today. This is an episode that I encourage you to slow down and lean into… If you are able, settle into a comfortable chair and really let this word wash over you. Then, ask the Lord how this pertains to you specifically in your health journey. I pray this blesses you and strengthens you today!
