Escuchar audio

We'd love to hear from you about this episode.Humans have always looked for new and innovative ways to treat illness and enhance health. Many continue to seek healthcare approaches that are not typically part of the standard medical systems we have become accustomed to.  When we follow a non-conventional approach combined with traditional medicine, it is considered "complementary."Although the natural world has always been a primary source of healthcare for humans, prescribing nature has only recently begun in Western medicine. Prescribing nature is a holistic approach that recognizes and celebrates natural environments' profound impact on our health and well-being.Just like asking your Doctor about a particular medication or other treatment, what if you could confidently ask your physician for a prescription to spend more time outside?Welcome to Episode Forty-Seven of The Nature of Wellness Podcast. In this episode, we sat down with Dr. Robert Zarr, founder of Park Rx America (PRA). Dr. Zarr is a physician-researcher and public health pediatrician based at Unity Health Care, Inc. and Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario.  Join us as we speak to Robert about his journey with nature, his 20+ years of working with underserved populations, and his inspiration to prescribe nature and create Park Rx America. Dr. Zarr discusses the importance of nature therapies for both children and adults, how the concept of play is underrated and critical for well-being, and his desire to reimagine the healthcare system entirely, pivoting from a deficit-based, doctor-centric approach to something that better encapsulates the whole patient. We were happy to hear the Doctor tell us to "GET OUT."Please subscribe, rate, and leave a review anywhere you listen to this podcast. We appreciate you all.Be Well-NOW Park RX America Website: https://parkrxamerica.org   * The unbelievable Shawn Bell produces the Nature of Wellness Podcast, making us sound good.** The NOW theme song was penned, performed, produced, and provided by the dynamic duo of Phil and Niall Monahan.   *** This show wouldn't exist without our amazing guests and all of you who listen. He mentions how these tools are designed to be accessible to both scientists and the general public. He mentions collaborating with other organizations to tackle scalable computing challenges. Quotes [00:03:44] “We believe that it's necessary to have transparency and accessibility in our research, data, and tools in order to accomplish the mission.” [00:06:17] “I don't think we can have great climate solutions unless they're open and accessible, especially to the communities that are most impacted by these problems.” [00:11:47] “I would love to see more emphasis on reproducibility outside of academia as we push towards a more transparent model.” Spotlight [00:27:42] Richard's spotlight is an article he read and liked, “The Brazilian Special-Forces Unit Fighting to Save The Amazon.” [00:28:07] Max's spotlight is an open access perspectives article called, “The Origins of the Generic Mapping Tools: From Table Tennis to Geoscience.” Links SustainOSS (https://sustainoss.org/) SustainOSS Discourse (https://discourse.sustainoss.org/) SustainOSS LinkedIn (https://www.linkedin.com/company/sustainoss/) Sustain OSS BlueSky (https://bsky.app/profile/sustainoss.bsky.social) SustainOSS Mastodon (https://mastodon.social/tags/sustainoss) podcast@sustainoss.org (mailto:podcast@sustainoss.org) Open Collective-SustainOSS (Contribute) (https://opencollective.com/sustainoss) Richard Littauer Socials (https://www.burntfen.com/2023-05-30/socials) Max Jones GitHub (https://github.com/maxrjones) Carbon Plan GitHub (https://github.com/carbonplan) Carbon Plan (https://carbonplan.org/) Pangeo (https://pangeo.io/) Zarr (https://zarr.dev/) OffsetsDB (https://carbonplan.org/research/offsets-db) “The Brazilian Special-Forces Unit Fighting To Save The Amazon” (The New Yorker) (https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2024/04/08/the-brazilian-special-forces-unit-fighting-to-save-the-amazon) “The Origins of the Generic Mapping Tools: From Table Tennis to Geoscience” by Paul Wessel (https://agupubs.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/pdf/10.1029/2023CN000231) Credits Produced by Richard Littauer (https://www.burntfen.com/) Edited by Paul M. Olga Zarr talks with Jason Barnard about the secrets of a good technical SEO audit. Olga Zarr is a senior/technical SEO specialist, an SEO consultant and an SEO auditor who started her SEO journey in 2012. She is a true SEO geek who is very passionate about her job. Her main focus is on technical SEO and she loves to do advanced technical SEO audits which sometimes takes her 30-40 hours. She runs her own SEO consultancy, SEOSLY, and is the Director of SEO at Market JD, a Chicago-based company doing SEO for lawyers. She has experience working for big brands like Procter & Gamble, LG, banks, large online stores and more. An SEO audit has no fixed time limit. The time it takes depends on the aim of the audit, the thoroughness the client wants and the automation choices the SEO expert makes. Olga is a huge believer in less automation, and more human intelligence, and although you may sometimes feel you are wasting valuable time, from an expert's point of view, it is worth investing time in an audit and throughly covering every aspect.  Olga Zarr starts her SEO audits by manually reviewing the website and empathising with the user before diving into the more technical and geeky part. She analyses every aspect of the website, including its appearance and loading speed from a user's perspective, then looks at it from Google's perspective using Google Search Console. Simple. Smart. But those are just her starting points. Olga delves deep into Search Console, then crawls the site twice, then looks at the easier on-page wins… and finally produces a prioritised SEO audit that is workable for her client to implement, effective at pushing the site up Google's rankings, and brings added value to her client's clients. She is also very careful and conscientious about ensuring that her client is well informed at every step. As always, the show ends with passing the baton… Olga delightfully hands over to next week's wonderful guest, Yuval Ackerman. For many reasons, I’m so glad we didn’t have to. Phew! After processing world events for a bit, we dig into Maurene’s backstory, writing process, the upsides of being married to another creative professional, and life as a new mom, and then I had a revelation about anxiety, thanks to Maurene’s therapist! Maybe you’ll find it helpful, too. (Please accept my apologies for some sound quality issues that were a direct result of a rookie mistake I made in the recording process. 29. Prescribing Nature: Just Go Outside - with Jennifer Walsh from Walk With Walsh

Global Wellness Summit

If you walk into the office of Dr. Robert Zarr (http://www.forestbathing.com/in-the-news/forest-bathing-on-prescription-park-over-pills/), there’s a good chance of walking out with a prescription for a walk — a prescription for nature. He will pull out a prescription pad and scrawl specific instructions for his patient’s walk, just like he would when prescribing a medication. Dr. Zarr is just one of over 150 other doctors who have embraced “Ecotherapy” as a much-needed solution to many of the problems caused by urbanization and our hectic, busy lives. When you add in a global pandemic that’s forcing even more of us to stay inside for much longer hours, our collective need for a nice walk in nature has never been higher, else we might suffer from “Nature Deficit Disorder.” It’s not necessarily as simple as just going outside, though, as our guest Jennifer Walsh will teach us in this episode. If you live in an urban environment and nature isn’t literally right outside of your door, you might have to get intentional and make a plan — and you absolutely should! Jennifer really leaned into this idea in 2019, when she created Walk With Walsh. After decades of pioneering in the wellness industry and as an on-air beauty expert, Jennifer decided to share stories in a new (and more mobile) way, highlighting what makes the difference for healthy leaders in the process. And after the COVID-19 pandemic, Jennifer’s movement became more important than ever. She became the eyes and ears of a shutdown New York City, and through it all — the ambulances, the pots clanging for healthcare workers every evening, the temporary hospital tents put up in her beloved Central Park — she just kept walking. As her followers were enamored with the melancholia of an empty NYC on display on her timeline, she also sprinkled in some facts about nature’s immunity-boosting abilities and historical data about patients who had outdoor treatment rooms during the 1918 Spanish Flu. In this episode, Jennifer expands on the universal benefits of both walking with nature and integrating nature into your indoor spaces — plus why it’s safer to take a few regular socially distanced walks during this pandemic than bunker up inside for the duration. Abstract: As neuroscience datasets continue to grow in size, the complexity of data analyses can require a detailed understanding and implementation of systems computer science for storage, access, processing, and sharing. Currently, several general data standards (e.g., Zarr, HDF5, precompute, tensorstore) and purpose-built ecosystems (e.g., BossDB, CloudVolume, DVID, and Knossos) exist. Each of these systems has advantages and limitations and is most appropriate for different use cases. Using datasets that don't fit into RAM in this heterogeneous environment is challenging, and significant barriers exist to leverage underlying research investments. In this manuscript, we outline our perspective for how to approach this challenge through the use of community provided, standardized interfaces that unify various computational backends and abstract computer science challenges from the scientist. We introduce desirable design patterns and our reference implementation called intern. Copy rights belong to original authors. Visit the link for more info

Holy Quran Healing Surat Al-Mulk Untuk Pemulihan Spiritual Dan Menentramkan Jiwa Edisi Bahasa Indonesia Podcast Version Bersumberkan Dari Kitab Suci Al-Quran Serta Al-Hadist. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/jannah-firdaus-mediapro/message

HOOFBEATS IN MY HEART – EPISODE 2 PREVIEW (COMEDY)  Hoofbeats in My Heart presents a colorful and comic musical tale of an unlikely love triangle that plays out against the cactus and sagebrush of the old West.  The dedicated and stout-hearted Marshall Shiloh Brown journeys forth on a single-minded mission to capture Ruby Buckaroo, the Bandit Queen of the Cowboys. When the pursuer and pursued eventually cross paths, the Marshall unwillingly succumbs to a severe case of Hoofbeats in His Heart.  Complicating this awkward love match between lawfulness and lawbreaking is the not-too-tightly-wound Sheriff Huck Buckskin, citizen of the ramshackle town of West Buzzard’s Bottom and yet another representative of justice who is also madly in love with the elusive and delinquent Ruby Buckaroo. Through a series of captures and releases, near misses and near kisses, the lasso-crossed lovers gallop across the Wild West mountains and plains of this tuneful audio western, encountering an assortment of offbeat characters who support both the law and the outlaw – but ultimately believe in the triumph of love.  TO LISTEN TO MORE FREE EPISODES – Click On The Link Below  Hoofbeats In My Heart Website:  http://www.hoofbeatsinmyheart.net/podcast/
