Bundeskanzler Friedrich Merz? Eher nicht. Der jagt sozial Schwache und sponsert die Ukraine mit Feuerwerkskörpern. Darüber hinaus erklärt er: Der Erhalt von Meinungsfreiheit zähle zu seinen „Hauptaufgaben“. Ist die Cancel Culture damit erledigt?! Ach wo. Auch die CDU mag auf Schock-Pädagogik nicht verzichten. Hausdurchsuchung am frühen Morgen als Mittel gegen publizistische Frechheit: Das hat sich bewährt. Das gibt man nicht einfach so auf. Letzte Woche traf es den Medien- und Kommunikationswissenschaftler Professor Norbert Bolz.Der begann vor 44 Jahren als Pop-Theoretiker. Seine philosophischen Paten-Onkel: Gilles Deleuze und Felix Guattari. Als postmoderner Denker analysierte Bolz den Zwiespalt der Moderne. In jüngerer Zeit konvertierte er zu neoliberalen Positionen: Mehr „Selbstverantwortung“ des Einzelnen, Kritik am Sozialstaat. Den Medien attestierte er die Zerstörung der Debattenkultur, O-Ton Bolz:In „Feuilletons und Talkshows wird längst nicht mehr diskutiert, sondern nur noch emotionalisiert.“Wiederholt schoss der Professor gegen Verengung des Meinungskorridors. Schlimmer noch: Er publizierte bei bösen Alternativ-Medien: Darunter Die Achse des Guten und die Wissensmanufaktur. Beim Mainstream sprang die Alarmanlage an: Bolz hat ideologisches Feindesland betreten.Dann kam der Januar 2024. Die Taz feierte die Bekämpfung der AfD mit dem Tweet: „AfD-Verbot und Höcke-Petition: Deutschland erwacht“. Bolz kommentierte:„Gute Übersetzung von woke: Deutschland erwache!“Anderthalb Jahre später: 23. Oktober 2025, Tatort Berlin Zehlendorf. Um 8:50 Uhr klingelt die Polizei bei Norbert Bolz. Hausdurchsuchung! Vorwurf laut Amtsgerichts Tiergarten: Verstoß gegen § 86a des Strafgesetzbuches (StGB): Die Verwendung von Kennzeichen verfassungswidriger Organisationen. „Deutschland erwache!“ war einst Losung der SA. Bolz habe das gewusst und sie trotzdem getweetet. In aller Öffentlichkeit. Daraus folgerte der zuständige Amtsrichter: Eine Durchsuchung sei verhältnismäßig und erforderlich, ergo legal. Nun haben die Beamten nicht die ganze Bude durchgewühlt. Der Grund: Die Staatsanwaltschaft hatte den Amtsrichter vorab gebeten, die Durchsuchung mit einer Abwendungsbefugnis zu mildern. Das bedeutet: Wenn der Beschuldigte kooperiert, wenn er freiwillig die gesuchten Beweise übergibt, wird auf Durchsuchung verzichtet. Bolz nutzte diese Option: Auf seinem Smartphone zeigte er den Beamten, dass er der Autor war. Damit galt die Durchsuchung als beendet. Ihnen kommt die Aktion seltsam vor? Trösten Sie sich. Dem Verfassungsrechtler Josef Franz Lindner ergeht es ebenso. Der fragt sich: Bolz war als Autor des Tweets doch bekannt. Er hatte ihn nicht anonym gepostet. Was suchten die Beamten also? Rechtsanwalt Udo Vetter hält die Durchsuchung für „krass rechtswidrig“. Ein Anhörungsbogen hätte vollkommen ausgereicht. Oder war die Aktion als Schocktherapie intendiert? Es war ein oder der Aufreger dieser Woche in den Medien: Der Medienwissenschaftler Norbert Bolz wurde am Donnerstag, den 23. Oktober, morgens von der Polizeit "besucht", anscheinend mit einem Durchsuchungsbeschluss. Angabegemäß, wie er sich später in den Medien äußerte, ging es um einen Tweet bei X (früher Twitter), wo er sich zu einer Veröffentlichung der TAZ geäußert hatte. Wir fragen uns, was das für Folgen für uns als Christen hat, was hier aktuell vorgeht ...

Bei einem ein Jahr alten Tweet kaum haltbar – der Inhalt ist längst öffentlich. Richtervorbehalt Er soll Missbrauch verhindern. Wird jeder Antrag durchgewinkt, verliert die Kontrolle ihren Sinn. Norbert Bolz ist einer der profiliertesten deutschen Medien- und Kulturtheoretiker. Bis zu seiner Emeritierung im Jahr 2018 lehrte er an der Technischen Universität Berlin und prägte Generationen von Studierenden mit seiner scharfsinnigen Kritik an Ideologien, politischer Korrektheit und medialer Manipulation. Bekannt wurde Bolz durch Werke wie „Das konsumistische Manifest“, „Die ungeliebte Freiheit“ und zuletzt „Zurück zur Normalität“. Im Gespräch spricht Norbert Bolz über den Verlust der Normalität, die Ideologisierung der Medien und die Frage, ob es überhaupt ein „Zurück“ geben kann. We're talking about the Davis Enterprise's decision to lay off Wary I columnist Bob Dunning (left, in photo), which shocked and/or angered thousands of people in town. In less than a week, Dunning had restarted his column and sports writing on Substack, with enough paid subscriptions to more than replace his salary at the Enterprise.
