Recorded On May 5th, 2025 The Carl Nelson Show covers a range of critical issues, starting with the aftermath of devastating fires in Pasadena and Altadena. Highlights include the quick restoration of power in the region, debris clearance efforts, and the challenges involved. Residents face a choice between using Los Angeles County’s debris removal services or hiring private contractors, though delays or high costs could result in property liens. The dangers associated with hazardous materials, particularly heavy metals seeping into water tables, are also emphasized. Some residents are sifting through debris themselves, fully equipped with hazmat suits, while FEMA and LA County continue to assist in the recovery process at a slower than normal pace. The discussion shifts to supply chain disruptions impacting essential goods like medical supplies and auto parts, which has slowed to one-third of its usual operation. Transitions into political commentary address Marco Rubio consolidating dual roles in government, raising legal and ethical concerns about officials holding multiple positions. Internationally, the show reflects on Libya in the 1980s, discussing US airstrikes against Gaddafi, his focus on an independent African currency, and broader geopolitical implications. Attention is also drawn to Burkina Faso’s transformation under Thomas Sankara, changing from Upper Volta to Burkina Faso, meaning “land of upright men.” The country’s move toward controlling and leveraging its gold, oil, and other resources signals a shift in the global chessboard that warrants attention. The program provides a compelling mix of local crises, political analysis, and global developments.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Amin Gulgee defies easy categorisation: he's a metal sculptor, a curator, and one of Pakistan's most innovative and cherished artists, the beating heart of his home city of Karachi's creative scene. His metalwork is as dramatic and eccentric as Amin is. He's in your face, uncompromising, a living and breathing performance piece.Amin also comes from a prestigious family: his father, Ismail Gulgee, was one of Pakistan's most famous modernists, creating abstract paintings that have been exhibited across the globe, and even sketching heads of state like Reagan and Gaddafi. In 2007, Ismail and Amin's mother Zaro were tragically murdered by their driver. It was Amin who found their bodies, in their house which adjoins his own studio and gallery. Much of Amin's work since has been an attempt to come to terms and heal from this most tragic of events.Presenter Harry Stott meets Amin on location in his Karachi studio-cum-gallery-cum-home, as he prepares to open a new museum of his father's work – the ‘most momentous' thing he has ever attempted. We listen in as Amin shows us the calligraphy adorned doors which he has created for the museum's entrance. We go inside his studio to hear about his creative process more widely. And we hear Amin come to terms with the tragedy of his parents' death and the solace that he finds in his workshop.Amidst the tumult of this momentous museum opening in the already tumultuous city of Karachi, this episode of In the Studio attempts to understand how Amin's two year process of creation, curation and healing will change his creative process for the years to come.Presenter & Producer: Harry Stott Co-producer & Fixer: Adam Fahy-Majeed Exec Producer: Sandra Ferrari Sound Design & Engineering: Alan Leer, Lizzy AndrewsA Message Heard ProductionImage: Amin Gulgee (Credit: Humayun Memon)

Both Chavez and Gaddafi stated their grievances at the UN and the UN's lack of response proved their point. The member nations have no power, and there's only a handful of countries of the 193 who can impose their will upon the rest, and ignore any measure put forth against them by the other nations. This is of course a condition of its artificiality. It was set up as a smokescreen to mask the true power of the world finance moguls and the nation and armies they control. Other countries are monitored, and managed, as are their leaders should they choose to think for themselves.Toward the End, I stated something that was bothering me for awhile because I see an artificial element injecting itself into an honest cause like a poison that will only lead to horrible defeat.https://x.com/DisguiseLimitsPATREON Community to ChatGET AD-FREE and Exclusive Content: Become a Patron.https://Patreon.com/DisguisetheLimitsBEST HOT SAUCE of the Realm:https://SemperFryLLC.com to get Priestcraft: Beyond Babylon, AWESOME Hot Sauce and Creatine-HCL. Ep. 158: Britain plays an outsize, malign role in global chaos

A version of this essay was published by firstpost.com at https://www.firstpost.com/opinion/shadow-warrior-britains-outsized-malign-role-in-global-chaos-13872084.html?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=socialBeing a keen observer of the United Kingdom, I have lately noticed a few apparently unconnected events with dismay. If I were to connect the dots, it begins to appear that Britain has had an outsize influence on international affairs. Maybe the James Bond meme isn't the total fantasy I had assumed it was: a juvenile wet dream about nubile maidens and irresistible heroes bumping off sundry villains. The reality appears to be quite impressive. This tiny, rainy island off Northwest Asia has been running quite a number of worldwide schemes. Its administrative center, Whitehall, manages a global web of intrigue and narrative-building, and has created a number of ‘imperial fortresses', thus punching above its weight-classOne of their principal assets in gaslighting others is the BBC (not to mention their plummy accents that, for example, make Americans just melt). The BBC has a sterling reputation which does not seem well-deserved. There have been many instances of motivated bias (eg. in their Brexit or India coverage), lack of integrity (eg. sexual transgressions by senior staff) and so on. In reality, it is about as unabashed at pushing its agenda as Al Jazeera is about its own.Admittedly, Britain has made one major blunder along the way, though: Brexit, which left them in trisanku mode, sort of adrift mid-Atlantic. They were distancing themselves from the European Union, counting on their so-called ‘special relationship' with the US to sustain them, away from what they perceived, correctly, as a declining and disunited Europe. They also thought they could dominate their former colonies again (see the frantic pursuit of a Free Trade Agreement with India?) without onerous EU rules. Sadly, none of this quite worked out.The reason is a fundamental problem: there is not much of a market for British goods any more. Indians once coveted British products as status symbols, but today, with the possible exceptions of Rolls Royce cars and single-malt whiskey, there's very little anybody wants from them. They still do good R&D, make aircraft engines (India could use that technology), and their apparently for-hire journalism is well-known, but that's about it.On the other hand, they have managed to stay entrenched in the international financial system, starting with colonial loot, especially the $45 trillion they are believed to have taken from India. It is rumored that they used stolen Indian gold to buy distressed assets in the US after the Civil War. It is possible they had the same game plan for Ukraine: acquire rich agricultural land and mineral deposits at distressed prices. Some point to the port of Odessa as another targetUkraine: bad faith actor? It is remarkable how Boris Johnson, then PM of UK, is alleged to have single-handedly ruined the chance of a ceasefire in April 2022 during his visit to Kiev in the early days of the Ukraine war, when there was a chance of a negotiated cessation of hostilities with all parties adhering to the Minsk 1 and 2 agreements. In January, just before President Trump took office, UK PM Starmer signed a minerals agreement with Ukraine as part of a “100-Year Partnership” that appears to pre-emptively undercut Trump's proposed $500-billion US deal. That lends credence to allegations about the UK's coveting minerals, as well as its not being interested in ending the tragic war.Gold: is it all there? The UK does have a thing for tangible assets, including gold. A lot of the world's gold (5000 metric tons) is supposedly held in secure custody in London. But there are fears that this may not physically be there in the vaults of the Bank of England any more. They may have indulged in ‘gold leasing', where the actual gold ends up being replaced by paper promises after it is lent out to bullion banks, from where it may be moved around and be inaccessibleExtraordinary delays in gold deliveries in 2025 (on withdrawals to New York triggered by tariff fears) increase this concern. There is a lack of transparency in transactions in the metal in the UK. Spooked, many countries are taking their gold back. India repatriated 200+ tons of its own gold from London in 2024. Venezuela is fighting a court battle to get its gold back. Then there are concerns raised by the arguably unfair freezing of Russian assets held abroad as part of Ukraine-war sanctions: Starmer recently promised to give Ukraine $2 billion, basically the interest generated by those assets. This doesn't sound quite right, and has dented the image of London as a reliable financial hub. Brexit was a blow; the rise of Dubai, Singapore, Shanghai and Zurich all threaten the City of London, but it is second only to New York, still.Imperial Fortresses galoreAnother win for the British was the selection of Mark Carney, a former Bank of England governor, as the Prime Minister of Canada. The Anglosphere continues to be dominated by the UK, although the Commonwealth is a club that serves no particular purpose any more, except as a curious relic of the British empire. This highlights the concept of ‘imperial fortresses': far-flung outposts that have helped sustain British military power and diplomatic clout despite the loss of empire. Traditionally, these were naval bases/garrisons such as those in Malta, Gibraltar, Bermuda, etc. that allowed Britain to keep an eye on the ‘restless natives'. However, I contend that the entire Anglosphere has been treated as imperial fortresses by them.Canada, Australia and New Zealand still continue to have the British King as their Head of State, which is astonishing for supposedly sovereign nations. But it's far more interesting that, in effect, the US has been treated as another vassal by the Brits, pillow-talked into doing things that are generally only in the interests of Britain. All that pomp and circumstance has beguiled poor Americans. Whitehall, I assert, have been Svengalis to Foggy Bottom.Master Blaster blowback? The other metaphor is from Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome (1985), where "Master Blaster" is a literal duo: Master, a cunning dwarf, and Blaster, his brawny, enforcer bodyguard. The Americans unwittingly have provided the muscle to the calculating dwarf's machinations, which generally end up mostly benefiting the latterBut there is yet another imperial fortress that we should consider: Pakistan. It was created expressly to be a geographically well-placed client state for the Brits to continue their 19th century Great Game from afar to checkmate Russia, and incidentally to contain India. From that point of view, Pakistan has been a successful imperial outpost, notwithstanding the fact that it, despite decades of US largesse, is a failing state (see the Baloch train hijack recently). This is part of the reason why Americans have a hard time explaining why they get involved in Pakistan and Afghanistan again and again to their ultimate regret, with painful exits. They have been induced to do this by the clever Brits, who, quite evidently, sided with Muslims against Hindus in the sub-continent, for instance in the British-led merger of Gilgit-Baltistan into Pakistan, contrary to the Instrument of Accession. There is considerable irony in all this, because one could argue that Pakistani-origin Brits have now done a ‘reverse master-blaster' to the Brits. That sounds eerily like the ‘reverse-Kissinger' that Trump is supposed to be doing. Or maybe it is a ‘recursive master-blaster', although the mind boggles at that.Consider the facts: UK rape-gangs are almost entirely of Pakistani origin; several current mayors (including Sadiq Khan in London) and past mayors are of that ethnicity, indicating a powerful vote-bank; they have at least 15 MPs and a large number of councillors. There's Pakistani-origin Sir Mufti Hamid Patel, the chair of the Office of Standards in Education; Shabana Mahmood, the Justice Secretary; Humza Yusuf, the former First Minister of Scotland. This imperial fortress is fighting back, indeed, and winning. The UK may not have quite anticipated this outcome. The American vassal-state is also beginning to rebel. Trump was personally incensed by the fact that Starmer sent 50 Labor operatives to work against him in the 2024 US elections: their interactions have been a little frosty.Khalil, an embedded asset? Then there is the case of a current cause celebre in the US, Mahmoud Khalil, a Syrian-born Algerian citizen of Palestinian descent. He has been accused of leading violent anti-Israel protests at Columbia University, and detained on that count. Interestingly, he had a security clearance from the UK, and was part of the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, living in Beirut and leading a scholarship program for Syrians. Yes, Syria. And then Khalil suddenly showed up with a green card (not a student visa), got married to a US citizen named Noor Abdalla, finished his program at Columbia, and so on. To me, all this sounds like it was facilitated, and that he has certain powerful foreign friends. No prizes for guessing who they were.Iraq, Libya and Syria: Humanitarian crisesSpeaking of Syria, Whitehall spent at least 350 million pounds sterling between 2011 and 2024 in regime-change activities targeting the Assad government, according to Declassified UK.The UK's meddling in the Middle East, going back to the Sykes-Picot carving up of the Ottoman Empire after World War I, and mandates in Palestine and Iraq, and even earlier to the antics of T E Lawrence, was clearly intended to advance and sustain British interests in, and influence on, the region. Which is not unreasonable. The sad fact, though, is that it appears the British have actively fomented, or been deeply involved in, a lot of the military misadventures that have turned the region into a mess of human misery. To take relatively recent history, the invasions of Iraq, Libya, and now of Syria were arguably dreamt up or at least actively supported by Britain. The invasion of Iraq was certainly endorsed by Tony Blair's infamous September 2002 dossier about Iraq's alleged weapons of mass destruction (WMD), which turned out to be imaginary, but then, lo! Saddam Hussein was overthrown and killed. The invasion of Libya saw Britain take on an even more active role. David Cameron and France's Nicolas Sarkozy in effect prodded a somewhat reluctant Barack Obama to invade, even co-drafting the UN Security Council Resolution 1973 in 2011 that was the formal permission for the war. The net result was the killing of Muammar Gaddafi. In the case of Syria, Britain began covert operations in 2012, with MI6 allegedly organizing arms shipments, training and coordination of groups opposed to the Assad regime. The sudden fall of Assad in December 2024, driven by groups like Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) that Britain indirectly supported, underscores the successful outcomes of this policy. In all three cases, a secular dictatorship was overthrown and religious extremists took over. Earlier, civilians had reasonably prosperous lives; women were generally educated and present in the workforce. After the regime changes, all three are bombed-out hellholes, with no rights for women or religious minorities. In particular, the latter have been consistently subjected to massacres, as in the recent large-scale executions of Alawites in Syria.Even though Americans were the principal players in all these cases, the impression is that British Whitehall's gaslighting of their US counterparts in Foggy Bottom could well have tipped the scales and turned skirmishes into outright war and disaster. Thus it is clear that Britain is still a formidable player in the world of international relations, despite the loss of empire and relative decline. It is unfortunate, however, that the net result of its actions is to add to entropy and chaos and the loss of human lives and rights. Perfidious Albion it still is.1950 words, Mar 16, 2025AI-generated podcast from NotebookLM.google.com: This is a public episode. It's Friday, February 21st, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 125 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark 10th anniversary of Muslim beheading of 21 Libyan Christians Saturday was the 10th anniversary of when 21 Christians died for their faith in Libya. Islamic State militants beheaded them on February 15, 2015 for refusing to deny Christ. Most of the believers were Egyptian Coptic Christians. Vicky Hartzler with the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom said, “Today, we remember the 21 young men who were brutally murdered by ISIS solely for being Christian. The U.S. government must continue to be an unrelenting voice against violence that targets religious communities, including Coptic Christians.”  In memory of the 21 Christian martyrs, More Productions released a short, 13-minute animated film last year called “The 21.” You can watch it through a special link in our transcript today at TheWorldview.com.  Libya has been in turmoil since 2011 and the overthrow of its then-leader, Col. Muammar Gaddafi. Since then, numerous other militia groups have battled for control. According to Open Doors, Libya is the fourth most dangerous country worldwide in which to be a Christian. 74-year-old pro-life woman arrested for praying outside abortion mill Authorities in Scotland arrested a 74-year-old pro-life woman recently for standing silently outside an abortion mill in Glasgow. Rose Docherty was holding a sign that read, “Coercion is a crime, here to talk, only if you want.” Officials charged her with violating a new “buffer zone” law that limits activities around abortion mills. It's the first arrest under the law.  The arrest comes days after U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance called out European leaders for violating the religious freedom of pro-lifers.  Kash Patel confirmed as FBI Director In the United States, the U.S. Senate confirmed Kash Patel as FBI Director on February 20th, reports The Epoch Times. PRESIDING OFFICER: “The Yeas are 51; the Nays are 49. The confirmation is confirmed.” Senators voted 51–49 to confirm Patel who gained prominence for exposing alleged FBI and Justice Department malfeasance during the Crossfire Hurricane probe into the Trump campaign. Crossfire Hurricane was the code name for the counterintelligence investigation undertaken by the FBI from July 2016 to May 2017, into links between Donald Trump's presidential campaign and Russia. Republican Senators  Lisa Murkowski of Alaska and Susan Collins of Maine crossed the aisle to join Democrats in voting against Patel's nomination. Surprisingly, GOP Senator Mitch McConnell of Kentucky supported Trump's nominee. Republican Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa, age 91, serves as the Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee. Before the vote was cast, he made this last-minute appeal. GRASSLEY: “Mr. Patel has spent his whole career fighting for righteous causes. He's been a public defender, representing the accused against the power of the state. He's been a congressional staffer, investigating the partisan weaponization of our legal system. And he served in key national security roles, protecting Americans from foreign enemies. He's received support from former FBI agents, former federal and state prosecutors, and organizations representing more than 680,000 law enforcement officers. “But Mr. Patel's resume, his accomplishments, aren't why he's the best person for this job. Mr. Patel should be considered our next FBI director because the FBI has been infected by political bias and weaponized against the American people. Mr. Patel knows it. Mr. Patel exposed it. I've got plenty of examples to show what's wrong with the FBI.” Kash Patel wrote the 2024 book entitled, Government Gangsters: The Deep State, the Truth, and the Battle for Our Democracy. Military chaplain fired for citing Romans 1 in sermon A Veterans Affairs chaplain is fighting for his religious freedom.  Rusty Trubey served as a chaplain at the Coatesville Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Pennsylvania. However, Veterans Affairs removed him from his duties for preaching a sermon from Romans 1. The sermon was entitled, “When a Culture Excludes God,” and included homosexuality as an example.  First Liberty Institute and the Independence Law Center are representing Trubey. Last week, they sent a letter to Douglas Collins, the U.S. Secretary of Veterans Affairs. The letter noted, “This is a systemic problem. We know that you will do the right thing to correct not only the unconstitutional policies at the Coatesville Facility, but also throughout our [Veterans Affairs] system.” 2 Timothy 4:2 says, “Preach the Word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.” U.S. poll: Only 40% believe in God of Bible; 4% have Biblical worldview Dr. George Barna released his latest American Worldview Inventory report. The study found that 46% of Americans agree that there is only one Supreme Spiritual Being who created and rules everything in existence. That number rose to 60% among self-identified Christians.  Dr. Barna noted many have a mix-and-match approach to faith: “The latest research finds that while two-thirds of Americans identify as Christian, only 4% hold a Biblical worldview. Even more alarming, just 40% believe in the God of the Bible, down from 73% three decades ago. Instead, Syncretism—blending elements from multiple worldviews—has become the dominant perspective.” Joshua 24:15 says, “But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.” Meta plans to build 30,000-mile-long sub-sea cable And finally, Meta announced last week it is building the world's largest sub-sea cable. The tech giant is known for its social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram.  Under its new plan called Project Waterworth, it will bring industry-leading connectivity around the world. The cable will connect five major continents and measure over 30,000 miles. That's more than the earth's entire circumference! [SEGMENT 2-1] Syria 1   The 2024 election was rigged. By God. And those Godless Democrats had no chance. After stealing the 2020 election, Democrats thought their trip would be smooth sailing. And while Republicans were devastated by the loss, we never lost faith. We knew that Democrats would over-reach, complete full of themselves. Imagine the delusion of a mandate, after you've cheated so brazenly that even your own people blushed when confronted with the truth. Republicans felt defeated, but we stayed the course. And with each passing day, Democrats set the next phase of destiny in place. Lies and coverups galore, they continued down their dark path.   "The Collapse of Syria: Another Regime Change Catastrophe Courtesy of Leftist Policy" Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the show—your front-row seat to the spectacle of leftist incompetence on the world stage. If you're looking for a good laugh that keeps you from crying, pull up a chair because Syria's collapse reads like a tragic comedy with a script penned by the usual suspects—Obama-era foreign policy geniuses and their meddling ilk. Let's dissect this mess together. A Hemingway-Esque Tragedy: Slowly, Then All at Once Hemingway once said, “How did you go bankrupt? Gradually, then suddenly.” The same could be said of Bashar al-Assad's regime. For years, the Syrian dictator ruled with an iron fist, supported by Russia and Iran. But cracks in the armor began to form in 2022 when Russia decided it had a new playground in Ukraine, and Iran got hit where it hurts by Israeli strikes targeting Hezbollah. When your backup singers walk off the stage, even the best frontman starts to falter. Fast forward to November 29: Aleppo fell, Assad's defenders stopped defending, and suddenly the guy who spent years painting himself as untouchable disappeared like a magician's assistant. Statues toppled, selfies flooded the dictator's palace, and the world collectively shrugged. It was like watching a rerun of every regime change debacle since the Cold War, with the same disastrous ending. Regime Change Roulette: America's Favorite Game Let's not act like this is a new plot twist. The U.S. has been dabbling in regime changes like it's our national pastime. Libya? We turned Gaddafi into a viral meme before brutally removing him from the stage. Egypt? We helped shuffle out one dictator only to end up with another. Haiti? A revolving door of leaders, none of whom seem to stick. Every time we play this game, the house—by which I mean the American taxpayer—loses big.  [SEGMENT 2-2] Syria 2   [X] SB – Jeffrey Sach on Morning Joe explaining how Obama created Syria problem Could escalate. US mistake that started 7 years ago with Obama. Assad must go. Brought in ISIS and Russia. Dig in deeper and deeper   Leftist foreign policies always come wrapped in the shiny packaging of “freedom” and “democracy,” but what do we really deliver? Chaos, power vacuums, and, inevitably, extremists stepping into the void. Syria's just the latest contestant in this twisted game show. Syria's Long Fall From Grace Syria wasn't always a headline for despair. It's a country with a rich history, stunning architecture, and some of the best food you'll ever taste. It could've been the Dubai of the Levant. Instead, thanks to decades of conflict and meddling, it's become a cautionary tale. While the world watched the fall of Aleppo and Damascus, one can't help but wonder—what could Syria have been if left alone? Obama's “red line” in 2013—remember that empty threat?—didn't just embolden Assad; it broadcasted to the world that American foreign policy under leftist leadership was all bark and no bite. It was the geopolitical equivalent of promising to ground your kid for breaking curfew, then letting them host a house party. The Left's Greatest Hits of Hypocrisy The left has a talent for blaming others while creating the very disasters they decry. Obama's foreign policy team, with their Ivy League degrees and zero street smarts, decided that Syria was a project worth meddling in. First, they funneled weapons into the region, most of which ended up in the hands of—wait for it—extremists. Then, they ignored the collateral damage, including millions of displaced Syrians now scattered across the globe. And while Obama was playing chess (or maybe checkers, let's be honest) in the Middle East, the American media was busy applauding him for doing… what, exactly? Turning a bad situation into a worse one? Meanwhile, Trump got crucified for keeping America first, focusing on domestic stability, and managing not to start another war.  [SEGMENT 2-3] Syria 3   A well-organized, highly motivated set of armed opponents took the city of Aleppo on November 29, and many of the regime's defenders abruptly stopped fighting. Assad vanished. The scenes that followed today in Damascus—the toppling of statues, the taking selfies of the dictator's palace—are the same ones that will unfold in Caracas, Tehran, or Moscow on the day the soldiers of those regimes lose their faith in the leadership, and the public loses their fear of those soldiers too.   What do you know about Syria? I'd be willing to be that most Americans couldn't point the country out on a map if you gave them 5 tries. The truth is we know what we've heard. Most of us never dig any further than the soundbite we hear in the mainstream media. We're too busy, for the most part. And frankly, we really can't be too concerned with happenings around the world when so much is happening in our backyards. For those of us will to dig a layer or two deeper, certainly, social media and the rise of Conservative media has helped us gain reach new strata of understanding about other countries. But for the most part, we remain ignorant of most of the world, a specifically in this case Syria. Sadly, what I just said of Syria is true about most subjects. We get our information in soundbites, and rarely dig deeper. And while Conservatives tend to be better than Leftists, we still fail in most part to understand things at more than a superficial level, particularly when it comes to other countries. We've been conditioned to think, “Our government knows best”, when it comes to geopolitical matters. We believe that our government acts in the best interests of America, period, full stop. This attitude was born of the idea that our government acts in good faith. Always. That's what we all want to believe about our country. We generally don't even question that notion. However, when you consider how our government treats its own citizens, perhaps we should take pause. Take the example of illegals who were allowed to invade America by Obama and Biden. Look at how Leftists treat illegals in America versus citizens of our country. Illegals are gifted with 5-star accommodations in some instances, thousands of dollars in food subsidies, and access to all services of citizens without paying a dime. How could one possibly rationalize what's happening with illegals over citizens using any sanity. So if Leftists are willing to flood America with illegals for power, what would make you think their intentions are good anywhere else in the world? At this point, you either agree with me or you're an idiot. I used to believe in the sanctity of our government. Even when we screwed up, I felt that while things might have gone awry, it was for, you ready…the greater good. After all, American stands up for countries all over the world. We fight for them, we send funds when they are in dire straits, and so on. I'm convinced that the American citizen is the best citizen of the world. But our government, when run by Leftists may very well be evil incarnate. I look back on regime changes around the world, and I feel very confident that our CIA is involved in most of them. The organization will use boogeymen like Russia and China to justify what it does. However, those are just strawmen. Because the CIA knows that America is in the business of war.  [SEGMENT 2-4] Syria 4   When I was younger, I didn't mind war. Looking back I know that I was groomed for war, conditioned for it. As a poor child growing up in the inner city, I was accustomed to war at the micro level. The “mean streets” is where I grew up. I grew up mean. Angry. Ready for war. I knew of the Vietnam conflict, and watched my uncles return from battle. One of them was broken by that conflict. The more I learned of Vietnam, the clearer that picture became. A useless war. A place for America to flex its military muscle, and try out some strategies for the next generation of arms. The Cold War is another I heard much about. We built a nuclear arsenal that cost billions and will never be used. MIRV missiles from the 50s and 60s are relics, likely being dismantled and sold for scrap. A new generation of nuclear missiles has been built, and like covid vaccines will end up dumped as well. We spend billions preparing for war. And while we have non-proliferation treaties regarding nuclear weapons, we still build them. Iran wants nukes, and we try to stop them. If they get them, what happens? Will they attack Israel, who also has nukes? It would be both countries' last move most likely. I'm not going to pretend to have all the answers. At best, I'm two layers out of ten deep on my geopolitical knowledge. But I have seen a pattern. Chicago Police and Hate Groups with Ties to Libya. When many people think of terror groups, they think it wasn't an issue prior to 2001. They are very wrong. And in many Cities what we now refer to as terror groups got their start as organized criminal street gangs.  The interview with Yuri is available as a free podcast on the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show website, Apple Podcasts, Spotify and most major podcast platforms. Check out the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Newsbreak, Medium and most all social media platforms. Chicago is a city with a long history of organized crime, which has faced numerous challenges related to street gangs. Few are aware of the international connections that some of these gangs forged, leading to a dramatic chapter in the city's law enforcement history. One of the most striking cases involves the Black P. Stones gang, which evolved into the El Rukn faction and collaborated with foreign actors, including Libya, in a plot against the United States. Retired Chicago Police Officer, Dr. James F. Pastor is our guest. The Black P. Stones: From Street Gang to Terrorist Group The Black P. Stones were founded in Chicago in the late 1950s as a street gang, but by the 1980s, they had transformed into a more dangerous organization. The gang rebranded as the El Rukn faction, adopting elements of Islamic ideology and aligning with radical causes. Their leader, a powerful and feared figure in Chicago's criminal underworld, was at the center of an infamous conspiracy that connected the gang to the Libyan government. Chicago Police and Hate Groups with Ties to Libya. The interview with Dr. James F. Pastor is available as a free podcast on the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show website, Apple Podcasts, Spotify and most major podcast platforms. One of their leaders is currently serving a 168-year prison sentence for a range of crimes, including murder, drug trafficking, and conspiracy to commit terrorist acts on behalf of Libya. The El Rukn faction even established its headquarters at a temple on South Drexel Avenue, where members plotted and carried out their activities. Libya's Role: A Shocking Conspiracy In the mid-1980s, the El Rukns entered into a conspiracy with the Libyan government, led at the time by Colonel Muammar al-Gaddafi. Libya, hostile toward the United States, sought to orchestrate attacks on American soil but lacked the means to do so. The El Rukns, eager to gain more power and resources, agreed to carry out attacks in exchange for $2.5 million and weapons. What began as a street gang's quest for influence had escalated into a dangerous international terror plot. Keep informed by following the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, MeWe, Pinterest, Newsbreak, Medium and other social media platforms. The FBI, working closely with the Chicago Police Department, uncovered the conspiracy through extensive surveillance and undercover operations. Although their leader was incarcerated for drug-related crimes, investigators discovered that he continued to direct the group's activities from prison. El Rukn members met with Libyan representatives in Panama to solidify the plot, which included plans to obtain military-grade weapons and explosives. Law Enforcement's Response: A Historic Investigation The FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF) and Chicago Police Department played crucial roles in dismantling the El Rukn-Libya connection. Chicago law enforcement also took decisive action to prevent the group from carrying out its plans. In 1986, a raid on the group's headquarters resulted in the seizure of multiple weapons, including hand grenades. By 1987, a 50-count indictment was filed against five key El Rukn members, and they were convicted of conspiring to commit terrorist acts on behalf of a foreign government. Chicago Police and Hate Groups with Ties to Libya. Listen to this interview as a free podcast on our website, Apple Podcasts, Spotify and most major podcast platforms. These convictions were historic, marking the first time American citizens had been convicted of plotting terrorist acts for a foreign government. The El Rukn case revealed just how far-reaching the influence of hate groups and criminal organizations could be, even from behind bars. The Role of Chicago Police and Dr. James F. Pastor One of the key figures involved in dismantling the El Rukn conspiracy was retired Chicago Police Officer James F. Pastor. Pastor, who had been investigating gangs in the 1980s, played an instrumental role in uncovering the group's ties to Libya. His involvement highlighted the complexities of policing in a city like Chicago, where local crime and international threats can become dangerously intertwined. Pastor got his Doctorate degree, became a Lawyer and a College Professor. He went on to become an expert in public safety, writing several books on terrorism, policing, and security. His experience, from working the streets of Chicago to tackling global threats, offers valuable insights into the challenges law enforcement faces in an increasingly interconnected world. Chicago Police and Hate Groups with Ties to Libya. Stay in the know by following the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, MeWe, Pinterest, Newsbreak, Medium and other social media platforms. Social Media: A New Frontier for Extremist Groups In today's digital age, the threat posed by hate groups has evolved, with platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn becoming hubs for extremist ideologies and criminal networks. These platforms allow such groups to communicate, recruit, and plan illicit activities under the radar, making it harder for law enforcement to track and disrupt their operations. Tech companies are now working to address these concerns. Many of them are reportedly removing hate-related content. Check platforms like Newsbreak and Medium, Apple Podcasts and Spotify in addition to the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast for critical information about exposing such groups, shining a light on the dangerous undercurrents of hate and terrorism that exist online. Vigilance is Key: Learning from Chicago's Past The El Rukn conspiracy is a reminder of how local crime can escalate into global threats. Chicago law enforcement and federal agencies successfully thwarted a potentially devastating attack, but the danger of hate groups and their connections to international actors remains a pressing issue today. As hate groups continue to evolve and leverage new technologies, law enforcement must remain vigilant. Platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn must also continue to work closely with authorities to monitor and mitigate the spread of extremist content. As the lines between local crime and global threats blur, lessons from Chicago's past remain more relevant than ever. The collaboration between street gangs and foreign governments is a stark reminder of the unpredictable and dangerous alliances that can form, threatening national security. Chicago Police and Hate Groups with Ties to Libya. The conversation is available as a free podcast on the Law Enforcement Talk Radio how and Podcast website, Apple Podcasts, Spotify and most major podcast platforms. The El Rukn case serves as a testament to the importance of coordinated efforts between local law enforcement, federal agencies, and tech companies in combating both traditional and digital forms of crime and terrorism. First Consignment: 01 – AirliftIn the summer of 1972, Libya's Colonel Gaddafi made an approach to the Provisional IRA with an offer of weapons. This was to become the first modern weaponry the IRA got access to. The first shipment of arms landed in Ireland in late 1972, a shipment that few, even to this day, are aware of. More than fifty years after all of this took place we finally tell a story that has never been told before. In this first part of a two part documentary, we follow these weapons from their point of manufacture in Russia, through to their arrival on Irish soil. The Great Man-Made River in Libya was once considered the 8th Wonder of the World. Water was first discovered in the 1960s when oil and gas drilling companies discovered enormous aquifers beneath the desert sands of Libya. 20 years after these discoveries, Libya was under the brutal dictatorship of Muammar Gaddafi who had overthrown the monarchy in 1969. Gaddafi embarked on an ambitious plan to pump water from under the desert into large reservoirs that were connected by pipelines throughout the country. While three of the five planned phases were completed at an estimated cost of $30 billion, the project was halted when Gaddafi was killed in 2011 during the Arab Spring uprisings. This is the fascinating story of a despot who had a grand vision for Islamic pan-Arab nationalism and will forever be linked to one of the greatest engineering feats the world has ever seen; a man who was ultimately betrayed by western “allies” and ironically died as brutally as he ruled at the hands of young Islamic Arab nationalists. All the Worst Humans: How I Made News for Dictators, Tycoons, and Politicians by Phil Elwood https://amzn.to/3LPfR1S A bridge-burning, riotous memoir by a top PR operative in Washington who exposes the secrets of the $129-billion industry that controls so much of what we see and hear in the media―from a man who used to pull the strings, and who is now pulling back the curtain. After nearly two decades in the Washington PR business, Elwood wants to come clean, by exposing the dark underbelly of the very industry that's made him so successful. The first step is revealing exactly what he's been up to for the past twenty years―and it isn't pretty. Elwood has worked for a murderer's row of questionable clients, including Gaddafi, Assad, and the government of Qatar. In All the Worst Humans, Elwood unveils how the PR business works, and how the truth gets made, spun, and sold to the public―not shying away from the gritty details of his unlikely career. This is a piercing look into the corridors of money, power, politics, and control, all told in Elwood's disarmingly funny and entertaining voice. He recounts a four-day Las Vegas bacchanal with a dictator's son, plotting communications strategies against a terrorist organization in Western Africa, and helping to land a Middle Eastern dictator's wife a glowing profile in Vogue on the same time the Arab Spring broke out. And he reveals all his slippery tricks for seducing journalists in order to create chaos and ultimately cover for politicians, dictators, and spies―the industry-secret tactics that led to his rise as a political PR pro. Along the way, Phil walks the halls of the Capitol, rides in armored cars through Abuja, and watches his client lose his annual income at the roulette table. But as he moved up the ranks, he felt worse and worse about the sleaziness of it all―until Elwood receives a shocking wake-up call from the FBI. This risky game nearly cost Elwood his life and his freedom. Seeing the light, Elwood decides to change his ways, and his clients, and to tell the full truth about who is the worst human.About the author Phil Elwood is a public relations operative. He was born in New York City, grew up in Idaho, and moved to Washington, DC at age twenty to intern for Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan. He completed his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University, and his graduate studies at the London School of Economics before starting his career at a small PR firm. Over the last two decades, Elwood has worked for some of the top – and bottom – PR firms in Washington. He lives in DC.
