Bringing this month of Clone-ruled brilliance to a closure, legendary German act The Exaltics treat us to a face-melting avalanche of abrasive kick-n-snare-heavy assault and future-proof sound engineering. Championing that no-surrender electro pulse and the same acid-soaked dystopian atmospheres that innervate their whole discography, the two-hour set here presented showcases the uncompromising nature of The Exaltics sound: both rugged to the core and infinitely complex in its musical phrasing. The result is a highly corrosive and equally dynamic mosaic of paced-up fragments, polychromatic ambiences and that signature in-your-face punch wrapped in a post-apocalyptic cinematic envelope. Steel yourself for liftoff.
Hai đĩa đơn ghi âm vào năm 1985, bao gồm « Love Is In Your Eyes » (Tình yêu trong đôi mắt) và « Ticket To The Tropics » (Về miền nắng ấm) giúp cho Gerard Joling từng bước chinh phục hạng nhất thị trường Hà Lan.

A pioneering voice in Arab cinema, Annemarie Jacir has written, directed, and produced over sixteen films, with premieres at Cannes, Berlin, Venice, Locarno, Rotterdam, and Toronto. In 2007, she made history by shooting the first feature film by a Palestinian female director. All four of her feature films have been chosen as Palestine's Oscar submissions. Set in 1936 during the Arab Revolt in British-ruled Palestine, Palestine 36 chronicles the intertwined lives of farmers, revolutionaries, and business owners resisting colonial rule. It's a stirring portrait of resilience, featuring a stellar cast including Hiam Abbass, Jeremy Irons, and Saleh Bakri. In this episode, Annemarie shares the ten-year journey behind the making of Palestine 36, the challenges of filming on location under threat, and the vital role Palestinian cinema plays in preserving histories too often left untold. Palestine 36 wil be released nationwide in Cinemas across the UK and Ireland on 31st October. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

In Part 1 of this special episode, Paul is joined by African football expert Ali Howorth live from the Cape Verdean capital of Praia to talk about the country's historic World Cup qualification. What force of nature helped the islanders get the job done against Eswatini? What were the highlights of the after-party? What role has the Dutch city of Rotterdam played in Cape Verde's success? And why might the Blue Sharks have more fans than expected at the World Cup? In Part 2, Lee and Paul hear from Cape Verde central defender Roberto Lopes, who explains the story of his international recruitment via LinkedIn, and discuss everything from diaspora to donkeys. Why are there as many Cape Verdeans living overseas as on the islands themselves? Which geographical and demographical records have they broken by qualifying? Third artist to grace us in this Clone-curated month of October, The Hague's one-and-only analogue wizard Legowelt surfaces with a mix sprawling from esoteric proto-techno to hallucinogenic electro, via trance-infused dreamscapes, eerie pop and mystique-imbued downtempo. As the true master of the synths he is, Legowelt has us traveling far and deep into a layered multiverse of dazzling hardware stutter and iridescent machine funk out a frizzling, VHS-supported headspace. Effusively vivid and durably haunting 8-bit-informed tapestries succeed through this glitchy maze of fractured tempi and vectorial stunts, cascading seamlessly as Legowelt pulls off yet another magnetic expression of retro-laced granularity and enhanced organic synthesis. Mythical.
What if the key to healthy ageing isn't just about living longer, but maintaining metabolic wellness, bone strength, and cellular youth throughout our lifespan? As obesity and type 2 diabetes continue to rise globally, the need for evidence-based nutritional interventions has never been more critical. In this episode of the Food Matters Live podcast, recorded at our event in Rotterdam in September 2025, we delve into the nutrition that is supporting health across the ageing journey. We look at dietary fibre as a natural regulator for blood glucose control, and how an EU health claim for reduced glycemic response offers manufacturers a science-backed reformulation opportunity. We hear about research that suggests animal protein intake is associated with better bone mineral density in older adults. And we're introduced to a groundbreaking natural vitamin D3 source from mealworms that's three times better absorbed than conventional lanolin-based supplements. Can food reformulation and innovative ingredients truly support lifelong health, or are we still missing pieces of the longevity puzzle?
We're back! Pastor Sergio Oschilewski Malinowski Iglesia Bíblica Las Condes

In the absence of Geert Wilders, the election debates kick off with an evening of shadow boxing between four parties who could all end up in government together. The Dutch government removes the CEO of a Chinese-based chip manufacturer, but was Washington pulling the strings? Rotterdam's Cape Verde community celebrates as the tiny African country makes it to the World Cup for the first time. And the city's rat catchers have an unlikely ally in their fight to control the rodent population.
See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Taking the helm for the second number in Clone's October takeover, here goes the mastermind himself, Serge with an ever epic selection of hard-nosed bangers and boundary-pushing ordnance. Having built an absolute monument to electronic music in the broadest, most widely eclectic sense of the term, Serge remains a driving force without equivalent both within and well beyond the borders of Netherlands. His much anticipated mix for RYC attests to the evergreen quality of his selections and precision of his mixing, diving deep into his own label's catalogue and like-minded repertoires to once again deliver the most compelling club-destroying transmission you could think of. Expect torrents of acid-drenched psychedelia, rough-hewn analogue bursts, cutting-edge slices and laser-precise groovers on a post-industrial tip. BEEG.
Can we really convert industrial CO2 emissions into complete nutrition without using any fertile land? As deforestation claims a forest area the size of 18 football fields every minute to meet food and feed demands, the search for genuinely sustainable protein sources has never been more urgent. In this episode of the Food Matters Live podcast, recorded at our event in Rotterdam in September 2025, three experts reveal radically different approaches to solving the alternative protein challenge - from breathing cultivation systems to the nuanced reality of ultra-processed plant-based meat. We discover how technological advances are putting microalgae at the centre of the alternative protein conversation, we delve into the debate around ultra-processed foods, and the hidden challenge: even the most sustainable ingredient innovation can fail if supply chain realities aren't considered from day one. From multifunctional water-soluble proteins that foam better than egg, to understanding why Swiss soybean variety selection requires bringing farmers and industry together early, our guests argue that alternative protein success depends on looking beyond the ingredient itself to the entire value chain and evolving consumer priorities.
Gooba Gooba is a Hungarian DJ and event organizer, one of the local representatives of the terrorcore genre. He began his music career in 2020 with neurofunk and crossbreed thanks to STÜX, and since then he has been actively present in the Hungarian underground electronic music scene. His style is built on fast-paced, intense rhythms, characterized by distorted samples taken from horror movies and the use of minimalist breakdowns. The terrorcore genre evolved from gabber and emerged around 1995 in Rotterdam. Gooba plays an important role in the Hungarian electronic music scene not only as a performer but also as a community builder. He founded the Terrorcore Hungary, which serves as a home for fans and artists of the genre. The community's goal is to popularize terrorcore music in Hungary and support those interested in the style. You can listen to Gooba's music on SoundCloud, where tracks such as “FantomFaszSyndroma” and “Fiend Within” are available.
In this episode of the NCS Podcast Perspectives series, Nicholas Morris, MD, is joined by Eelco Wijdicks, MD, PhD, professor of neurology at Mayo Clinic and chair of the Division of Critical Care Neurology. A pioneer of neurocritical care, Dr. Wijdicks reflects on training in Rotterdam, fellowship at Mass General under Allan H. Ropper, MD, and the creation of Mayo Clinic's neuro ICU in the 1990s. Wijdicks shares the story behind the FOUR Score Coma Scale and lessons from subarachnoid hemorrhage, hyponatremia and cerebral salt wasting, including how early fluid-restriction practices shaped outcomes. The conversation also explores building a new specialty, the role of neurologists in the ICU, the history of medicine and “neuro cinema,” as well as compassion fatigue and the future of global neurocritical care. The views expressed on the NCS Podcast are solely those of the hosts and guests and do not necessarily reflect the opinions or official positions of the Neurocritical Care Society.

After a winning week that took Aston Villa from the chaos of Rotterdam to the comfort of Villa Park, My Old Man Said returns to make sense of it all. From the surreal experience of being herded behind Perspex to watch Villa play Feyenoord to the sight of Napalm Death on the flight home, the European trip had everything - but most importantly, it reminded fans what Unai Emery's Villa can be when fully switched on.Back on home soil, Burnley offered the perfect chance to consolidate that rhythm. With Marlen's ruthless finishing, Bogarde's composure under pressure, and a midfield that finally hummed again, it felt like the real Villa had clocked back in. Yet, the familiar sight of a soft goal from a set piece showed there's still work to do before they can start dreaming bigger. In this episode, we unpack the growing control in Villa's play, the tactical tweaks behind the win, and why this run might just be the spark to reawaken Emery's machine - plus a few laughs along the way.UTVAs mentioned in the show:InvestEngine – Build Your Own ETF Portfolio (ISA and SIPP options available)Build your own SIPP (Self-Invested Personal Pension) by choosing your own ETF's for long-term flexibility and specialisation in how your pension is invested. In this episode of Energy Newsbeat Daily Standup, Stuart Turley and Michael Tanner break down OPEC+'s shrinking spare capacity, warning that oil prices could spike as the group nears its production limits. They discuss Saudi Arabia's aging fields, pressure depletion, and the difficulty of restarting shut-in wells. The segment also covers ExxonMobil's potential return to Iraq's Majnoon oil field, China's plan to build 11 new oil storage sites, and the U.S. receiving its first tungsten shipment from Rwanda—marking a move to bypass China in critical minerals. Finally, they highlight President Trump's approval of a new 211-mile road to Alaska's Ambler Mining District and Shell's $600 million hit from canceling its Rotterdam biofuels project, underscoring the contrast between fossil energy resilience and renewable setbacks.Subscribe to Our Substack For Daily InsightsWant to Add Oil & Gas To Your Portfolio? Interview with Ron Heeks, MD of Larvotto ResourcesOur previous interview: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/posts/larvotto-resources-asxlrv-advancing-high-grade-gold-antimony-project-in-nsw-australia-5758Recording date: 8th October 2025Larvotto Resources is advancing Australia's largest antimony-gold operation at Hillgrove, New South Wales, with production targeted for mid-2026 following an accelerated 8-month construction program. Managing Director Ron Heeks has structured a $150 million development leveraging inherited infrastructure acquired from administration, compressing what would typically require $300 million and multiple years into a capital-efficient restart. The project secured $100 million USD in bond financing and $60 million AUD equity, reflecting strong investor confidence in the operation's cash generation potential amid surging antimony prices. The Hillgrove development benefits from exceptional existing assets including 15 kilometers of underground development, a permitted processing plant, mains grid power, and proximity to Armidale, Australia's third most livable town. This infrastructure foundation enables a fully residential workforce, eliminating fly-in-fly-out costs while supporting local community integration. The 500,000-ton-per-annum processing facility will produce approximately 5,000 tons of antimony metal and 40,000 ounces of gold annually, translating to 140,000 gold-equivalent ounces with all-in sustaining costs of negative $2,000 per ounce at current metal prices.Antimony has emerged as the most critical strategic mineral following China's September 2024 export ban, with prices surging from $20,000 to over $60,000 per ton. The metal's defense applications in armor-piercing ammunition and night vision equipment, combined with solar panel manufacturing requirements, have created structural supply deficits that position Larvotto among fewer than five Western projects approaching near-term production. A strategic offtake agreement with Wogen Resources provides mine-gate pricing based on Rotterdam indices, transferring logistics complexity while maintaining full commodity price exposure. The conservative feasibility study economics modeled antimony at prices $20,000 below current levels, creating substantial margin upside that flows directly to cash generation given the byproduct credit accounting structure.Learn more: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/companies/larvotto-resources-limitedSign up for Crux Investor: https://cruxinvestor.com

Laura Luchtman talks to TCA about her journey from fast fashion to sustainable fashion looking for a greater purpose. She experiments with natural pigments and materials, always searching for solutions to problems that exist in the fashion and textile industry. In this episode, Laura explains how she experiments with color-growing bacteria and how this process creates a new aesthetic, researching to answer that big question: can our what we wear heal us? Laura Luchtman was born in the Netherlands where she lives and works in Rotterdam. She is a textile and surface designer investigating the social, cultural, and ecological dimensions of color. She develops new ways to experience color through bio-based pigments, inclusive systems, and translating color and pattern across different contexts. From her chromatic atelier Kukka in Rotterdam, she works with brands like Puma, ranging from conceptual presentations to applied collections. Her research into sustainable dyes highlights her hands-on approach and commitment to conscious design. Laura's work has been shown globally, published, and presented at TEDx. In 2023, she won the DNA Paris Design Award for Chromarama Riso.Support the showThank you for listening! Aviation and marine transport together account for approximately 15% of global oil consumption—a substantial share driven by sectors that are among the hardest to decarbonize. Unlike road transport or power generation, these industries face unique constraints: the high energy density required, long operating ranges, and the limitations of onboard storage mean that electrification or hydrogen solutions remain technologically and economically unfeasible in the near to medium term.In response, policymakers and industry leaders are increasingly focusing on low-carbon liquid fuels as transitional solutions. Chief among these are Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and Hydroprocessed Esters and Fatty Acids (HEFA), both of which can be used in existing infrastructure and engines with minimal modification. These fuels can be of biological origin—typically derived from waste oils, agricultural residues, or purpose-grown feedstocks—or synthetic origin, such as Power-to-Liquid (PtL) fuels produced via electrolysis and CO₂ capture.Globally, significant efforts are underway to scale up these alternatives. The European Union, for instance, has introduced blending mandates through the ReFuelEU Aviation and FuelEU Maritime regulations, requiring a gradual increase in the share of SAF or other renewable fuels used in transport. These policies are supported by a range of subsidies, research programs, and emissions trading mechanisms (e.g., EU ETS inclusion for aviation and shipping), all designed to stimulate supply and demand for cleaner fuels. To help unpack the complex interplay of technical, economic, and regulatory challenges, we invited Callum McPherson, Chair of its Sustainable Business Forum and Head of Commodities at Investec, a London-based investment bank. With a mandate to structure and trade a wide array of fuels, Callum provides real-world insight into how these markets are evolving—and the limitations that remain. Some of the key topics Laurent and Gerard explored with Callum included: Which green fuels have realistic pathways to scale, and which are unlikely to work due to poor energy return on investment, unsustainable feedstocks, or prohibitively high costs? How will regional mandates, particularly those in the EU, impact global markets—and will they be enforceable in practice? What role will synthetic fuels play, given their dependence on clean electricity, high capital costs, and still-immature supply chains? What emerges is a highly nuanced picture. Despite the political momentum and technological progress, the fundamental economics remain challenging. Current estimates suggest that the cost of abating one tonne of CO₂ in these sectors can easily exceed €1,000 requiring considerable public support, whether stick or carrot.High costs and regulatory uncertainties are probably some of the reasons why Shell has decided not to complete the construction of a SAF refinery in Rotterdam.Laurent and Gerard conclude that while green fuels are a necessary part of the decarbonization toolkit, they are far from a silver bullet. The financial and ecological trade-offs are significant, and at current cost trajectories, these fuels will make only a marginal dent in overall emissions curves—at least in the near term. Finally, an excellent book on the general topic of biofuels by Michael Grunwald: "We Are Eating the Earth: The Race to Fix Our Food System and Save Our Climate."“The views and opinions expressed by Callum Macpherson are his own and are provided for information purposes only and should not be construed as investment advice, recommendation, or an offer to buy or sell any financial products or commodities.
