— It has been our personal walk along the trail of life through challenges to our health and well-being that have cultivated and developed the programs and services we offer.  What matters most has become self-evident. Being well, living well, and doing well are the areas in which Sol Sanctuary has evolved its focus. We know from personal experience what carries us through and what creates lasting health, well-being, and supports a quality of life that is meaningful and fulfilling. When we choose to practice ways of being that improve the quality of life in our day to day, then we are able to inspire and ignite hope and possibility for others. If we can do it, if our family can weather it and cultivate more healthy relationships, so can you and yours. It is our collective dream now, a dream that belongs to the community that continues to grow and gather. We each are able to provide a safe harbor for others as they travel the difficulties and triumphs of life's road. Valeria interviews Jen Jacobs — She is a humanitarian, visionary, coach, author, mother, and grandmother. As co-founder of Sol Sanctuary, a charitable organization, and a co-founder of Everyday Seven, a community of educators, practitioners and coaches, Jen's life is devoted to improving the well-being of our human life and elevating our experience of human connectedness, which is a crucial component to how well we feel in our everyday life. She currently offers a workbook series that invites us to look at our life experiences as purposeful, and that each experience brings an opportunity for growth and remembrance of who we truly are. Her expertise is getting to the heart of the matter, assisting clients in developing authentic relationships with themselves as well as tools that create healthy relationship patterns with others. Jen's focus is to foster and cultivate the development of individuals, families, and communities into regenerative relationships that create and sustain a symbiotic way of life for all.  She has worked with Dr. Deepak Chopra and the late Dr. David Simon of the Chopra Center; the late Dr. Jeremy Geffen, oncologist and author of The Seven Levels of Healing; Spiritual and Emotional Wellness Committee, post wildfire community care; Camp Fire Collaborative, post wildfire community support; Choice Humanitarian, an international poverty alleviation organization; executives with Keller Williams Real Estate; The Mike Ferry Organization; Bruce Cryer, former CEO of Heartmath Institute; and Gary Malkin, founder of Wisdom of the World. Join me, Gemma Serenity Gorokhoff, in a compelling conversation with Carla Vaughn, the founder of Speaking to Elevate, as we peel back the layers of emotional and financial abuse. Listen in as she shares her personal battle with emotional abuse, particularly during a vulnerable time following a severe accident that left her financially dependent on an emotionally unavailable life partner. During this episode, we shed light on the invisible scars of emotional abuse, comparing it to hidden disabilities, and stress the power of self-love and recognizing one's worth beyond the damage endured. Carla and I discuss how emotional trauma often lingers far longer than physical injuries, highlighting the crucial need for healing and self-affirmation to cultivate a life filled with self-love, joy and financial security and prosperity. Navigating the turbulent waters of abuse is a challenging journey, and finding a safe harbor is possible. Tune in to our heartfelt exchange as Carla reveals a transformative coping mechanism — a mental protective coat to guard against an abuser's hurtful words. We also delve into the impact of our own experiences on our children and the pivotal moment that spurred Carla to leave an abusive marriage for the well-being of my young children. This episode underscores the empowerment in choosing to overcome victimhood, rising as a 'superhero' for our children and ourselves. Finally, listen to our inspiring discussion on the journey from surviving to transforming abuse, where we underscore the bold courage required to step away from a harmful relationship and into the unknown. Discover how self-transformation and resourcefulness are vital in breaking free from the cycle of abuse, and how this shift can crucially affect one's survival and the future of one's children. Moreover, we explore the importance of financial wellness, not just in economic terms, but as a vital source of empowerment and affirmation.    Carla Vaughn's introduction in her own words We all have a story. Synopsis: In lieu of a 1-page article, here is the audio version of the book review I wrote on Faith Shattered and Restored: Judaism in the Postmodern Age, by R' Shagar. I don't usually post my book reviews on my blog or record them as podcasts, but I felt like I had to make an exception here, for reasons which I explain in the preface to what is essentially an essay on my first thoughts about R' Shagar's approach. I'll note that while I was making the recording, it dawned on me that this particular essay doesn't really lend itself to an audio version - probably because the sentences are more complex than usual, making it hard to follow by listening - but I went ahead and finished the recording anyway, in case someone finds it valuable.  ----------The Torah content for these two weeks has been sponsored by Ariel Rachmanov, a friend and Mishlei talmid of mine. Ariel works for Keller Williams Real Estate and has generously offered to donate to the Rabbi Schneeweiss Torah Content Fund a percentage of any business that comes his way as a result of this sponsorship, resulting in a Mishleic "win, win, win" scenario for all parties involved. Once considered a status symbol, gas stoves have become a popular choice for amateur and professional chefs alike. More than a third of U.S. households cook with gas and 50% of single-family homes now feature gas stoves. Yet, when it comes to climate stability, air quality, and our health, gas stoves have serious impacts. Gas stoves emit the same fumes found in car exhaust, and gas consumption in buildings is a significant contributor to climate change. But it is possible to cook dinner without cooking the planet: 60% of U.S. households are already using electricity to cook and newer induction technologies are gaining popularity. Still, market and policy changes are needed to make electricity the preferred choice. This episode features a pediatrician, a professional chef, and a real estate agent discussing the perils of gas stoves and the pioneering movement to clean up our kitchens.Guests:Dr. Lisa Patel is a pediatrician and an advocate for children's health priorities. She was the co-chair for the American Academy of Pediatrics Advocacy Committee, California Chapter, co-founder the Climate and Health task force, and Director for the pediatric resident's Community Pediatrics and Child Advocacy Rotation. Today, Rachelle's new venture “Kitchens to Life”  focuses on kitchen electrification for performance, people and planet. Annie Trujillo is a real estate agent with Keller Williams Real Estate, based in Salt Lake City. In 2020 she was the third individual agent in her office and made the Top 500 Realtors in Utah list. Previously, Annie had an illustrious ten-year career working as a mountain guide, leading expeditions in remote areas from Greenland to Alaska. Never make a decision, or jump and risk making a bad decision. These two ends of the spectrum get the most focus. My guest today finds middle ground in being decisive and taking action, then working to make it right. It also aligns with his counsel that, “Done beats perfect!” My guest is Nick Unsworth who was with me in episode 801 where his stories of failures and successes I culminated into the show title of, “Declare your vision”. In this show we talk about the business and personal habits Nick most values. As a people pleaser he cites how he’s had to learn to practice self-care, because as he states, “If you don’t take care of you there is nothing left.” You’ll be inspired by Nick’s sharing. If you missed our first show together, Nick is CEO of Life on Fire and his mission is to build the world’s largest Christ centered platform online and to raise up leaders to grow God’s Kingdom. I have an incredible and powerful story to share with you. A personal testimony. Not of some hudu-guru “speak it into life” stuff, but just a floundering, good hearted guy who went through failure after failure, but through it all achieved some incredible things that he chose to believe, put hard deadlines on, and just worked to accomplish. Still, how they happened is, well, the stuff of stories. Nick Unsworth is a renowned business coach who is known for his expertise in Facebook advertising. As CEO of Life on Fire, Nick’s mission is to build the world’s largest Christ centered platform online and to raise up leaders to grow God’s Kingdom. Mike considered himself as a second-generation entrepreneur, his dad blaze the trail for him of becoming the best entrepreneur and earning opportunities early on. Prior to Mike's success, he feels like he didn't progress because something is holding him back where he found out he didn't focus on a holistic and healthy approach. About the Episode On this episode, I'm joined by real estate team owner, coach and someone who is equally a student and a master of our industry and our craft, Matt Fetick. He already knows a lot, but has never put continued learning on the backburner for himself and his agents. He has built a real estate and business empire that doesn't just span states, it stretches to England too! He focuses on unlocking high productivity, seeing solutions not setbacks, and reminding agents that the deal is never about them.     Matt Fetick is the Owner and CEO of The Matt Fetick Team, which he started in 2006. His care for clients and calm in any crisis were drawn from years as a police officer and a paramedic. Matt has quickly become the leading real estate agent in the greater Philadelphia region ranking in the top 100 of Keller Williams Real Estate internationally and number 1 locally. Matt's team delivers excellent real estate services to buyers, sellers, builders, banks and short sale loss mitigation. Matt teaches real estate agents and is a highly sought after speaker both in the United States and Internationally. He owns and operates not only a successful sales team, but also 3 brokerages, a title insurance agency, a mortgage company, and real estate investments.    It takes a certain level of being of service to be able to achieve the level of success that Matt has, and it all starts with understanding that we are consultants who are there to serve the client not the deal. Most agents think the customer is their buyer or seller but the problem with agents is that mindset gets in the way of serving the client. We need to always remember that once the client signs an agreement with us, we are no longer salespeople, but consultants who are there to serve them. The minute we treat the deal like it's ours, is the minute we lose sight of what we're in this business for.   In Today's Episode, We Talk About;   05:45 - Taking advantage of the short sell market.  11:03 - How agents can get out of the way of the deal.  16:15 - The biggest financial mistakes agents make.  25:21 - Running businesses in different countries.  34:47 - Teaching and being impactful online.  42:55 - Top pieces of advice for a successful life  Guest Info Website: https://mattsmasterminds.com.  To get a 10% discount off the training course the promo code NEXTLEVEL.

Hey, Gang!  Welcome to another podcast!  My topic today is The Power of Scripts, which comes from the work I’ve been doing with Keller-Williams Real Estate.  Why do we need scripts?  The answer is because they allow us to take advantage of every situation and leverage it to our benefit.   For example, KW teaches scripting to its associates to the point of making an initial introduction to a client, emphasizing the appointment time and the punctuality of the associate.   KW teaches the Bold Law, which is that spontaneity is a conditioned reflex.  When the client says A, then we are prepared to say B.  Your response becomes automatic because it’s been practiced over and over again. Remember, there are three types of salespeople: The UI—Unconscious Incompetent, who is no good at sales but has no clue that they are no good. The UC-Unconscious Competent, who is good at what they do, but have no idea why they are good. The CC—Conscious Competent, who is good at what they do and know why they are good. Here are Four Steps to go through to write scripts to be outstanding in every interaction: Write out the script. Memorize the script. Internalize the script. Customize the script. Listener Question of the Week:  What if someone you think a lot of doesn’t believe in what you’re doing?   Quote of the Week:  Successful people don’t fear failure.  They understand that it is necessary to learn and grow.  ---Robert Kiyosaki

I switched gears this week because I was listening to a book titled “The Million Dollar Real Estate Agent” by Gary Keller of Keller Williams Real Estate and they were talking about thinking big. What stuck with me was   ·      Big dreams and goals = big accomplishments! ·      Never will = never does! ·      We all have so much more potential than we imagine! Let’s start by reviewing the process of how what we think/believe impacts what we accomplish!   1.     Core beliefs? 2.     Create thoughts 3.     Create actions 4.     Repeated create habits 5.     Repeated create performance 6.     Repeated create accomplishments! 7.     What we believe matters! So? What are your thoughts on money?   ·      Our experience tells us you are only able to do about 10% more that you imagine you can! ·      The question I always have is how much do the best of the best make in your company? Why not you? How do we get there?   ·      The “Be” + “Do” = Have Equation ·      Dream big!!! What are the big hitters doing? ·      Have a plan! o   Did you know that a 10% growth over 5 years is 161% of your original business? o   20% growth equals 249% of your original business! An entrepreneur with an optimistic viewpoint (a great and very practical combination) he waded through 11 business failures while racking up five-figures of debt.
