She continues to serve as a role model for our entire family. Ameimar ruled that children not old enough to sell their inheritance could give it away as a gift. After being questioned by Rav Ashi, he explains the logic behind his ruling by differentiating between a sale and a gift. Rav Nachman brings in the name of Shmuel a list of cases where one must check if the person has signs of maturity to see if the action was valid. The Gemara analyzes why he brought each of the cases. The Mishna bring the opinion of Rabbi Elazar that one on one's deathbed cannot pass on possessions through words but must do an actual kinyan, act of acquisition. A debate between him and the rabbis regarding a few cases is brought - each one explains the cases in a way that supports their position. The Mishna explains a debate between Rabbi Eliezer and Rabbi Yehoshua regarding the differences between whether an act of acquisition is not needed only on Shabbat or is not needed at all. The logic of their positions matches the logic of their argument regarding the concept of zakhin l'adam shelo b'fanav as applying only for a minor or everyone else as well.

Weeks into it, those protests seem to be only intensifying. Thousands have now been arrested. The students' demands vary by campus, but the majority are asking for an end to the Israel-Hamas war and divestment from companies that are financially benefitting from the conflict. In decades past, student activism regarding the Vietnam War, civil rights and South Africa's apartheid successfully sparked broad social and political change. Has this student-led movement reached the tipping point? I'm your host, Catherine Maley, author of Your Aesthetic Practice – What your patients are saying, as well as consultant to plastic surgeons, to get them more patients, more profits and stellar reputations. Now, today's episode is called "3k Lip Lifts Plus 300 Facelifts Per Year — with Benjamin Talei, MD". One way to differentiate yourself in the marketplace is to work harder than everyone else, which is what enables Dr. Talei to perform 3k lip lifts plus 300 facelifts per year. That doesn't guarantee your success, but it certainly gives you a leg up over your competitors. That's what my next Beauty and the Biz Podcast guest did. Ben Talei, MD, facial plastic surgeon set up shop in Beverly Hills and went to work. For 6 years, Dr. Talei worked 16-hour days, 7 days per week honing his surgical skills and making a name for himself…. …until he had a medial scare and had to slow down. Now Dr. Talei “only” works 12-hour days, 4 days per week providing some of the best results seldom seen. He continues to perfect his techniques and do what others don't, won't or can't. And he uses social media and his before/after photos to set himself apart from everyone else and build a demand he struggles to keep up with. Here are some things we talked about: How he gets photo approval from his private patients How he gets results that others don't Tips for marketing to build up a huge demand and much more Visit Dr. Talei's website P.S. Professor Peter Hennessy is one of the UK's leading contemporary historians. He has written acclaimed and important books about politics, the civil service, the intelligence agencies and the British constitution on which he is an expert. Peter was born in London in 1947 and read history at St John's College, Cambridge. He started writing for the Times in the mid-1970s, covering the inner workings of Whitehall whose activities at that time were shrouded in secrecy. Peter says he approached his journalism like an amateur anthropologist trying to discover more about an unknown culture. His reports were viewed with suspicion by some members of the civil service and Harold Wilson, the then prime minister, issued an edit banning them from talking to him. In 1986 Peter co-founded the Institute of Contemporary British History, and in 1992 he moved from journalism to academia at Queen Mary, University of London where he is Attlee professor of contemporary British history. He is a fellow of the British Academy and was made a crossbench life peer in 2010. During the COVID-19 pandemic he started keeping a diary which he describes as an “aid to humility” with the aim of assessing post-world war history as BC (Before Covid) or AC (After Covid). And more takes on her vivid, emotional, sweat-inducing and occasionally manipulative cinema!             MAIN LINKS:  LinkTree: https://linktr.ee/JURSPodcast Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/JackedUpReviewShow/ Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/2452329545040913 Twitter: https://twitter.com/JackedUpReview  Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/jacked_up_podcast/          SHOW LINKS: YouTube: https://m.youtube.com/channel/UCIyMawFPgvOpOUhKcQo4eQQ   iHeartRadio: https://www.iheart.com/podcast/269-the-jacked-up-review-show-59422651/   Podbean: https://jackedupreviewshow.podbean.com   Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/7Eg8w0DNympD6SQXSj1X3M   Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-jacked-up-review-show-podcast/id1494236218   RadioPublic: https://radiopublic.com/the-jacked-up-review-show-We4VjE   Overcast: https://overcast.fm/itunes1494236218/the-jacked-up-review-show-podcast   Google Podcasts: https://podcasts.google.com/?feed=aHR0cHM6Ly9hbmNob3IuZm0vcy9hNDYyOTdjL3BvZGNhc3QvcnNz   Anchor:  https://anchor.fm/s/a46297c/podcast/rss   PocketCasts: https://pca.st/0ncd5qp4   CastBox:  https://castbox.fm/channel/The-Jacked-Up-Review-Show-Podcast-id2591222

In Silicon Valley when business is good, it's normal for top talent to hop from company to company to company. But GE's Linda Boff, described by at least one of her peers as the "Beyoncé of CMOs," has stayed at the 130-year-old conglomerate for nearly 20 years, through radical changes to the business structure, and with plans to split into three public companies on the horizon. She attributes her longevity to the fact that four out of five days of any week, she's excited to come in: "I believe in this company," Linda says. "I would have the hardest time if that went away, and it never has."In this episode, Linda and Joubin discuss helping young people succeed, finding your passion, the 1980 Winter Olympics, Thomas Edison, Twitter advertising, sticktoitiveness, being excited for work, being impatient, trying to please everybody, and calendar time management. In this episode, we cover: How a chance encounter with Video Monitoring Systems founder Robert Cohen changed Linda's life (03:17)  Where Linda's work ethic came from, and her serial internships (06:21) Elon Musk and brand safety on Twitter (12:47)  Why Linda has worked at GE for almost 20 years, and how it became an "industrial powerhouse" (15:22)  Choosing to stay and giving a shit (21:40)  How much should you love your job? We talk about:What it means to rewild yourselfHow to stop people pleasingWhat happens when you're true to yourselfAbout Elen SentierElen Sentier comes from a long family lineage of Cunning Folk and was brought up as awenydd (spirit keeper) in the old magical traditions of Britain.Elen trained as a transpersonal psychotherapist with Ian Gordon-Brown and Barbara Sommers when health issues led her to retire from her career at the MOD. Elen was thrilled to discover how the transpersonal perspective integrates the personal with spiritual and transcendent aspects of being human, which meshed with the old magical ways she'd been brought up in.Elen initially opened a practice in London but always more at home in the wilderness, she and her husband, a particle physicist, left London for the Welsh Marches. Here, Elen continued to develop her practice using transpersonal psychology and witchyness to help clients become their true selves, rewild their hearts and find what makes their hearts sing.Elen has also taught her work through an apprenticeship and three-year advanced course for over 30 years. Her students, from all walks of life such as policemen, poets, stock brokers and doctors, go on to take the work into their own specialisms. To date, Elen has published 12 books with the Moon Books imprint of John Hunt Publishing, three of which are bestsellers. Her bragging rights include dancing for Arlene Philips; taking contemporary dance class with Robert Cohen; flying in Jaguar fighter aircraft; doing plasma-physics at the Culham Centre for Fusion Energy; and being kissed by Mick Jagger!
