Enjoy this long chat with Evan and I as we talk about the buzz surrounding the bands latest album, Rebuilding The Mountain, if he or his bandmates are aware of these types of things when they are happening. We also talk about if the bands singer doing some of the Two Minutes To Late Night covers during the pandemic really helped raise the bands profile, and we talked about compilations/cover songs from our youth and how people find new music now. We dip into Evan teaching drums, and how it is to be responsible for putting someone onto the path of creating music. We touch on our love for horror movies and how it makes us think about society and more in this 2 hour chat. Jordan Olds aka Gwarsenio Hall has returned to discuss Two Minutes To Late Night's bedroom cover series, Splitsville, Prince, The Muppets, uncomfortable nostalgia, and more! Talk to meWebsite - Facebook Two Minutes To Late Night Youtube - Website
Oh man...so excited about this one. We spent time chatting with Jordan Olds, the brains? behind Two Minutes To Late Night. If you don't know Two Minutes, what are you going....click the link below and dive in. Jordan spent the pandemic organizing an incredible group of "Bedroom Covers"...underground musicians covering some of their favorite songs and artists. Well it was underground until he trotted out a cover of Rush's Anthem by Danny Carey, Les Claypool, Bill Kelliher, Claudio Sanchez, Stephen Brodsky, and Jordan himself. That video has over 1.1 million views on YouTube, and subsequent bedroom covers include Jay Weinberg, and even Jay's dad Max (Bruce Springstein) covering The Misfits. Two Minutes just launched a new live stream series called Splitsville, taking inspiration from 7-inch punk splits where 2 bands cover each other's songs. The series takes advantage of Bandcamp's new live streaming concert platform, and it was brilliant, with Cave In and Every Time I Die covering each other (with exclusive shirts and 7" records available to purchase if you bought a $5 show ticket. Both the bedroom covers and Splitsville are generating revenue for all the artists and production people involved in a time when there's not much going on in live music, and Jordan has even been able to raise money for a bunch of worthy causes. One of the good ones folks.Things you will learn about Jordan:The real mission of Two Minutes is to "widen the tent" in metal. Less gatekeepy please. We agree. He has a new kind of loud neighbors even after living the city.Van Halen DOESNOTEQUAL Whitesnake. It was just a poster and the resolution was low.The secret to the success of the channel? No sleep. You too can make a living off of puns. The skinny couch room in all the bedroom cover videos was a happy accident. He has a nice BC Rich Mockingbird bass. Jeff sold it to him...lol.He also has a friend who can do really nice refinish work on guitars...hit him up.During the blind listens, he very much enjoyed that "Vazumnacht is a Krampus inspired dark Holiday EP."Stick around for an epic rant about why singers in heavy bands should just go ahead and take vocal lessons, even if it is goofy as hell. There's a new trailer for the Ozzy Osbourne documentary out, so we decided to talk about our favorite Ozzy tales, from Black Sabbath to his solo career, with Spirit Adrift frontman/founder Nate Garrett. Plus we nerd out on Deftones' new publicity campaign, the time Prince destroyed Steel Panther's equipment, and more. However, 20 minutes into filming, we got the news about the death of Power Trip frontman, Riley Gale, who was close with many of our crew, guests, and hosts. We decided to cut the episode short so we could process. Thank you for understanding, and please make a donation to the Dallas Hope Charities in Riley's name: https://www.dallashopecharities.org/donate/See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

We invited GWAR frontman Blöthar the Berserker to join us on LAST WORDS to discuss his next kill -- as well as his thoughts on Metallica, the underrated bass players of the world, some dude who dressed as Oderus Urungus to pick up his art-school grades, and the week's new metal releases.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Marilyn Manson is coming out with a new album soon, which begs the question: Is shock-rock still relevant?? Can anything shock us anymore? Is the dude from TRAPT the Marilyn Manson of today because he pisses people off so bad?? Also, Spencer from Periphery says it's nearly impossible to make money in a metal band these days. Is that true? If not, what does it take to succeed? The LAST WORDS crew, joined by War On Women's Shawna Potter, try and get to the bottom of it.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Missed a week but I am back! in this week's episode I discuss quite a few things, I talk moving and why I missed last week's episode (one was recorded and will be posted soon), I talk collecting random things and having to cull when moving and also what to do with things you collect but aren't using anymore. I go in depth about the little one's first trip to daycare and how I got a massive lump in my throat. I talk about when someone passes away and you feel like you'd knew them more when they were here, I use an example of a recent musician who passed away. I give a huge shout out to Moffat Beach where we are moving from, I shout out 2 shows, Two Minutes To Late Night (youtube) and I See You on (netflix) and I give my 2 cents on the 2 chicks who jumped the borders into Queensland. Lend Me Your Ears.
