In 1900, German colonial officers executed 19 Tanzanian leaders, including Akida Kiwelu, and shipped their skulls to Berlin for scientific study. Thousands of such skulls and ancestral remains stolen from Germany's past colonies are still kept in Berlin museums to this day. In an administrative building in Berlin, Zablon Kiwelu encounters his grandfather's skull for the first time. DNA testing confirmed a genetic match to this skull, held in an anthropological colonial-era collection of thousands of skulls known as the S-Collection. But despite proof of his heritage, Zablon cannot bring his grandfather home for a proper burial.

Theresa Werba was born in 1962 in New York City to a 17-year-old formerprostitute. She was given up for adoption at three months old. She was placed with a loving foster mother until she was 13 months old, when she was taken away for technical reasons and placed with an older couple with ties to a New Age religious cult. She endured a bizarre childhood of emotional and physical abuse and left homeat the age of 15. She was disinherited by both adoptive parents upon their deaths.Theresa found her birth mother in 1984 and has had a positive relationship withher for over 40 years. Theresa was told a certain individual was her biological father and legally assumed his last name for over 30 years. In 2020, Theresa was able to locate her biological father through DNA testing via two half-sisters. He was a completely different person from the one her mother remembered. Unfortunately, he died in 2019. He never knew that Theresa existed. Theresa legally changed her last name to his in 2020 and is exceedingly happy with her newly harmonized genetic identity.Theresa is an author, poet, and singer. The discovery of “black goo” on a boat in Ohio has created a lot of speculation, especially after it was studied by the University of Minnesota Duluth and found to have “20 DNA sequences... including one that was completely novel.” Black Goo has been seen in countless movies, tv shows, music videos, and even commercials. At its core, the black represents void and abyss, the goo being nothing but an amorphous substance or blank canvas on which to paint anything. On a more literal level, this goo is real, be it faulty asphalt or raw sewage. In the case of what was found in Ohio, it is something very genetically mysterious.  From the X Files and Prometheus the substance is an alien virus or mutagenic pathogen. In District 9 it is a biological agent. In Venom it is a symbiot. In Star Trek it is a conscious of malevolence. In Lucy the substance is a drug that eventually allows for evolution of the chapter into a super-advanced intelligence transcending space and time as a black goo computer - when IBM unveiled their quantum computer it appeared as black goo in a clear black box. A few days previous there were two reports about a creature existing between life and death, and small xenobots operating in human cells after the body has died. The strange creature was called “Sukunaarchaeum mirabile,” a name coming from Japanese mythology: Sukuna & Bikona.  Sukuna translates as “lesser name” or “small" Bikona translates as “divine” or “renown.” The name represses the deity Sukunabikona's diminutive stature and humble or lesser status. It is often depicted as a small figure riding in a tiny boat or working alongside the more prominent deity Ōkuninushi. Boats are vessels of guidance across rivers like Nile or Styx, and they also bring civilizers like Oannes, Osiris, and Quetzalcoatl. A Japanese movie called The Boy and the Heron is the recent release from Studio Ghibili, featuring a heron that acts like Charon on the river Styx. The boat in Ohio that passed black goo was also called the Blue Heron. This black substance can also be found in Princess Mononoke, Howl's Moving Castle, and Spirit Away. The Japanese connection is made strange when learning that scientists from that country were working on the hybrid creature in the X Files episode Nisei, which also means second generate, relating it to the Sukuna and that which generates secondarily. In other words, Sukunabikona and Nisei are the Japanese version of homunculus, or little diminutive human which in biology acts as a symbol of sperm in the microcosm. In the macrocosm it is the comet. It must not be coincidence that since 2017 we have seen three interstellar objects pass  through our solar system: Oumuamua, Borisov and Atlas in July 2025. The latter two were comets, made distinct by their tail, essentially making them sperm - “panspermia” means the chaotic distortion of life from the sperm comet to the egg planet. The black substance has also been part of the Covid narrative, due to something called black fungus that people have coughed up. It is therefore strange to find black substances in Moderna vaccines that were pulled from the market in several prefectures in Japan. We just learned this month that AG Pam Bondi just stopped an investigation into Pfizer, a company she was once legal counsel for. This comes after her dropping the Epstein client list, part of a large intelligence gathering operation and blackmail ring largely run by the MOSSAD of Israel. Things get even strange when considering that Epstein was working on a human engineering project with scientists and genetic researchers. It must not be a coincidence that the Trump administration on day one initiated the next stage of the Stargate project, pertaining to universal cancer shots or that RFK Jr. at the HHS authorized universal and flu vaccine development. The top four leaders at Pfizer and Moderna are 75% Jewish with ties to Israel, just as the Stargate Project is 50% the same. And to top it all off, on July 4, the President existed a black cube with his wife wearing a white dress and a black strap, both of which appear to represent the Tefillin worn by Jews, the very group RFK Jr. says are the least effected by Covid. That cube also appeared to display what looks like the entity in Mission Impossible, i.e., a truth eating digital parasite.   *The is the FREE archive, which includes advertisements. In this episode of Superpowers for Good, guest Kevin Shird shared a profound perspective on how mental health challenges contribute to poor decision-making and the cycle of incarceration. Kevin, a professor, author, and advocate, is no stranger to the justice system, having experienced it firsthand. Now, he's using his story to create a roadmap for change.Kevin explained that unresolved trauma often plays a central role in the repetitive cycles of poor choices many individuals make post-incarceration. “Poor choices are actually tied to unresolved trauma,” he stated, adding, “when trauma is unresolved, there's a propensity for continuing this hamster wheel of just poor choices after poor choices.” His insights shed light on a key issue: the need for better mental health care within prisons to address these deeply rooted issues before individuals reenter society.Kevin shared the heartbreaking story of a friend he met while incarcerated—a man who initially served a short sentence but, after his release, committed a double murder and now faces life in prison. The tragedy, Kevin emphasized, could have been prevented with better mental health support during his friend's incarceration. “Hurt people hurt people,” Kevin explained. “When people aren't well... sometimes their struggles land in our laps.”Kevin advocates for placing licensed clinical social workers inside prisons as a proactive solution. He pointed out that 95% of incarcerated individuals will eventually return to society, becoming our neighbors, coworkers, and community members. By providing mental health support behind prison walls, he believes we can reduce recidivism, enhance public safety, and foster healthier communities. This episode reinforced the urgent need for systemic reform to prioritize mental health care in the criminal justice system. Kevin's work, including his book A Life for a Life, serves as both a call to action and a source of hope. Through his advocacy, he's demonstrating how addressing trauma can transform lives and break cycles of harm.By highlighting these issues, Kevin reminded us that change is possible—and it starts with seeing the humanity in everyone.tl;dr:Kevin Shird shares how unresolved trauma drives recidivism and advocates for better mental health care.He highlights the importance of placing licensed social workers in prisons to support incarcerated individuals.Kevin recounts a tragic story to illustrate how unaddressed trauma leads to devastating consequences. He explains his superpower of authentic connection and how storytelling fosters healing and understanding.Kevin encourages vulnerability to build deeper relationships and drive meaningful change in the world. How to Develop Authentic Connection As a SuperpowerKevin Shird's superpower lies in his ability to authentically connect with people through storytelling. “I pride myself on just being able to build real relationships,” Kevin explained. He emphasized the importance of “removing the mask” to connect with others on a deeper, human level. By sharing his vulnerabilities and personal experiences, Kevin creates bonds that inspire healing and understanding. “Everybody has a story,” he said, reminding us that even when our struggles differ, they are all significant and worthy of empathy.Kevin recounted how sharing a vulnerable story about his father's alcoholism in his first book led to powerful connections with readers. Despite initial embarrassment, he wrote about his father's addiction, and the response was overwhelming. Readers reached out to share their own experiences with addicted family members, often in tears. This demonstrated how his authenticity in storytelling inspired others to confront and heal from their own struggles.Tips for Developing Authentic Connection:Remove the emotional “mask” and embrace vulnerability.Recognize that everyone has a story, even if it differs from yours.Focus on building genuine human connections by listening and empathizing.Use storytelling to create shared experiences and inspire others.By following Kevin's example and advice, you can make authentic connection a skill. With practice and effort, you could make it a superpower that enables you to do more good in the world.Remember, however, that research into success suggests that building on your own superpowers is more important than creating new ones or overcoming weaknesses. This week, Jack Sharry talks with Jeffrey Levi and Rafael Couto for a deep dive into the future of wealth management. Jeffrey is a Principal at Casey Quirk Deloitte and leads the firm's Strategy Offering for Financial Services. He advises wealth and asset managers on complex strategic challenges and spearheads research in areas like private credit, alternative investments, and evolving investment strategies. Rafael, a Senior Manager at Deloitte, helps wealth managers and retirement providers navigate large-scale technology and operational transformations. He focuses on boosting efficiency and improving service delivery, particularly in the growing convergence of workplace and wealth management. Together, they unpack Casey Quirk's latest white paper, which outlines five key growth drivers for the wealth management industry over the next decade. They explore the critical capabilities top-performing firms are building—and how these firms are aligning strategy, technology, and operations to deliver stronger growth and better client experiences. In this episode: (00:00) - Intro (02:37) - Why Deloitte is doubling down on wealth management research (04:03) - Casey Quirk's research participants (06:01) - The five core drivers of future growth in wealth management (09:43) - How these capabilities show up across different channels (11:00) - What it means to build a “transformative DNA” within a firm (15:30) - The challenge of delivering a truly holistic client experience (19:40) - How leading firms are earning and maintaining client trust (24:30) - Why the core wealth platform is becoming a key competitive edge (26:52) - Taking an end-to-end approach to platform design (29:14) - What the future of work looks like in this space (33:17) - Rafael's and Jeffrey's interests outside of work Quotes "In our advisory work, we're seeing a widening gap in performance, growth, and advisor and client experience in the overall marketplace. Some firms are winning, some firms are clearly more stagnant, and in some cases, some firms are starting to decay." ~ Jeffrey Levi "The ecosystem that exists today is going to look very different in five to 10 years because service providers are all evolving to become technology providers. We're seeing massive convergence across servicers, technology firms, clearing and custody firms, TAMPs. We're seeing IBDs want to launch a platform as a service model to serve other parts of the landscape." ~ Jeffrey Levi "When we looked at the characteristics of those that are growing faster, we really saw that they're shaping their services around financial advice and having that at the center of the journey." ~ Rafael Couto "When we say end-to-end, it is what you put in front of the client that matters. But then you have to think all the way down to the operational component, and how you bring everything together. The value you bring to the client is what really makes you win in the market." ~ Rafael Couto Links  Jeffrey Levi on LinkedIn Casey Quirk, A Deloitte Business Rafael Couto on LinkedIn Deloitte Chip Roame Ridgefield 8 Bocce Connect with our hosts LifeYield Jack Sharry on LinkedIn Jack Sharry on Twitter Subscribe and stay in touch Apple Podcasts Spotify LinkedIn Twitter Facebook

Is Scoliosis Hereditary? Exploring the Genetic Link and Why It May Not Matter for Treatment Receiving a scoliosis diagnosis often sparks a cascade of questions:“How did I get this?”“Did I inherit it?”“What can I do about it?” In this episode of the Scoliosis Treatment podcast, Dr. Tony Nalda breaks down one of the most common concerns—whether scoliosis is hereditary—and explains why discovering the “why” may not always impact how we treat the condition. Family History vs. Genetic Cause Patients frequently share that scoliosis “runs in the family.” But does that mean it's genetic? Dr. Nalda explains that scoliosis tends to cluster in families, but no single gene has ever been definitively linked to idiopathic scoliosis. Even identical twins—who share the exact same DNA—may have different outcomes, with one developing scoliosis and the other not. This strongly suggests that while there may be hereditary tendencies, scoliosis is not directly caused by genetics alone. Different Types of Scoliosis (And Their Causes) To understand where heredity may play a role, it's important to look at the four main types of scoliosis: Idiopathic Scoliosis Makes up 80% of cases Cause: Unknown (idiopathic) Most often seen in adolescents Believed to be multifactorial, possibly involving environmental, developmental, and minor genetic influences Neuromuscular Scoliosis Associated with conditions like cerebral palsy, Marfan syndrome, or Ehlers-Danlos syndrome More likely to have a genetic or systemic origin Congenital Scoliosis Present at birth due to malformed vertebrae (e.g., hemivertebra) Truly genetic/developmental in nature Degenerative or Traumatic Scoliosis Caused by injury or wear and tear Often appears in adulthood Not hereditary—these result from physical changes over time Why “Cause” Doesn't Always Change the Outcome Dr. Nalda uses a powerful analogy: “If an earthquake causes a building to collapse, we may study the cause—but the most urgent need is to rebuild the structure.” Similarly, scoliosis—regardless of the cause—becomes a structural problem that must be corrected. Many cases are diagnosed long after the original cause (if any) occurred, and chasing the “why” doesn't usually change how the curve affects the spine today. Can Idiopathic Scoliosis Be Treated Without Knowing the Cause? Yes.Dr. Nalda emphasizes that effective scoliosis treatment doesn't depend on knowing the exact cause. At the Scoliosis Reduction Center, idiopathic cases are treated with a multimodal approach, including: Scoliosis-specific chiropractic care Customized physical therapy and rehab Scoliosis-specific exercises Corrective bracing These strategies focus on correcting the structural changes in the spine—not just the symptoms—and help stop curve progression over time. Bottom Line: Focus on the Solution, Not Just the Source While the question "Is scoliosis hereditary?" is understandable, the better question might be: What can I do now to manage it? Whether the root is genetic, environmental, or unknown, scoliosis can be treated effectively—especially when addressed early and proactively.

Why do some people experience instant healing, while others struggle for years, despite doing “everything right”? In this mind-expanding episode of The Catherine Plano Podcast, filmmaker, consciousness researcher, and spiritual teacher Caroline Cory shares the groundbreaking truth about how our thoughts, intentions, and energy shape our health, reality, and even our DNA. From her earliest spiritual experiences as a child to conducting scientific experiments that prove the power of consciousness, Caroline reveals why most healing methods fail—and what it really takes to create lasting transformation from within. This isn't just a conversation about mindset or manifestation—it's a deep dive into the mechanics of consciousness itself. Caroline explores how trauma gets stored in the subconscious and imprinted into our cells, why affirmations and visualisations often don't work, and how tapping into the superconscious field allows us to shift energy instantly, sometimes resulting in physical miracles. Through jaw-dropping stories, measurable scientific studies, and a refreshingly clear explanation of complex concepts, Caroline breaks down: Why intention alone isn't enough—and what's really blocking your healing How to clear subconscious patterns stored at the cellular level What science says about how thoughts affect DNA, water, and energy fields How children are being trained to see blindfolded through expanded consciousness Why your personal healing uplifts the collective consciousness How you can tap into your innate superhuman abilities Caroline also shares her journey of teaching others to access their intuitive abilities, reprogram their cellular memory, and step into their truest energetic frequency. Whether you’re dealing with health challenges, emotional trauma, or simply seeking to live with more awareness and alignment, this episode is a masterclass in what it means to become the conscious creator of your life. If you've ever wondered how far your consciousness can really go—this episode will change the way you think about your body, your mind, and your purpose. About Caroline Cory Caroline Cory is an award-winning filmmaker, author, and expert in the fields of consciousness, energy medicine, and quantum science. She is the creator of the film Superhuman: The Invisible Made Visible, in which she collaborates with scientists to test and document the power of human intention, telekinesis, and extrasensory perception in controlled experiments. Through her online courses, meditations, and live events, Caroline helps thousands of people around the world unlock their intuitive intelligence, clear trauma at the root level, and access higher states of consciousness. Composers John Murphy and David Fleming join guest host Jon Burlingame to discuss their original score for “Superman,” directed by James Gunn. In this two-part conversation, Murphy and Fleming share their personal connections to the character, the emotional and thematic goals of the music, and the creative process of scoring an iconic superhero story for a new generation. They also reflect on the legacy of John Williams's original theme and how it influenced their approach.“Everyone who works in film music reveres John Williams, and that score is kind of a gem of film music. So to be asked to explore the DNA of that theme was a privilege, but definitely a humbling privilege. You are confronted with this truly iconic theme… But at the same time, there still felt like there was a lot to explore within the confines of that theme… I remember, I was having a meeting with James [Gunn] and I said, the part of the John Williams theme that always really touched me is the end… There's something about it that's hopeful. Really, really hopeful. And I started playing around with it with some different chords, and I could tell James was getting sort of moved by it. It felt like we were discovering something and finding something new that fit his Clark Kent and his Superman, as well.”—David Fleming, Composer, “Superman”Be sure to check out “Superman,” now playing in theaters and Dolby Cinemas®, in Dolby Vision® and Dolby Atmos®.Please subscribe to Dolby Creator Talks wherever you get your podcasts. You can also check out the video for this episode on YouTube.Learn more about the Dolby Creator Lab and check out Dolby.com. The story is tragic… and it also has a bizarre ending. (Lost Children of the Alleghenies) *** Is he an elf? A troll? Not only is it hard to classify Latin America's El Duende – but it's even difficult to know if he's good, evil, or just a mischievous menace! (Duende The Menace) *** Bachelor's Grove Cemetery just outside of Chicago is a mystery. No one knows exactly how it got its name; no one is sure when the first burial there took place or why it has since been abandoned; there is no explanation for the strange lights that are often seen there, or the ghostly lady, or the phantom horse and rider. (Bachelor's Grove Cemetery) *** A man is found in a graveyard with a bullet to his skull, barely alive. He died later – but what exactly happened to him is a bit of a mystery. Our guess though is that it had something to do with him being a grave robber. (A Grave Robber's Fate) *** Forensics has come a long way over the years, making it harder and harder for criminals to get away with crimes – particularly brutal crimes where DNA is usually left behind because of a struggle or physical assault. But despite technological advancements, there are still those cases that remain unsolved – and we'll look at a few murders of women whose cases still can't be closed. (Unsolved Female Murders) *** How's the saying go… “hell hath no fury like a woman scorned?” That's good advice for the living – but probably even more apropos when dealing with female ghosts! (Famous Female Phantoms) *** Imagine you're in a small town and suddenly you begin seeing people around you starting to change into beastly creatures. They begin attacking those around them, ripping them apart, eating like wild animals. Then suddenly you begin the transformation yourself… you are becoming a werewolf. But you were never bitten by a monster, nor were the townsfolk. How could this be happening? This actually happened in a small town in France… and one of the theories as to how it happened will not only surprise you, but have you wondering if it will happen to you someday. She has created Healing Justice, an organization that brings together the wrongfully convicted, crime victims and family members for multi-day intensive retreats. She invites 60 MINUTES to come along as they share their stories and move together on a path of healing. For decades, evolutionary biologists considered non-coding regions of DNA as evolutionary junk, a paradigm that long dissuaded researchers from studying these little-understood portions of the genome. But a series of discoveries starting in 2008 has forced a major change in thinking about so-called "junk" DNA. Many examples of function have since been identified for the non-coding regions of DNA, and more are being uncovered each year. On this ID The Future, Dr. Casey Luskin reports on a pair of American biologists who were recently awarded the Nobel Prize for their discovery of function in what was previously considered junk DNA. Countless fans of FSOTD flood our DMs and comment sections demanding the return of “the fire,” “real OGs,” “the gas,” and/or classic cultivars from the 90s-2000s, which are the building blocks of the exotics we know today. In response to this demand, we brought on two absolute legends in terms of genetic legacy, preservation, and global recognition for the work they've made and continue to make to answer some of these questions.Blackleaf is joined in our LA studio by John of Green Bodhi, and once again, by Don and Aaron of DNA Genetics to discuss everything surrounding classic cultivars that many have assumed gone forever, why purple herb wasn't and still isn't fire, how Kenji cracked the original seeds on what would become “Pre-98 Bubba,” what goes into tissue culture and how Phylos is stacking up the world's genetic library, and so many more stories surrounding legendary cuts such as the lore surrounding DNA's Banana OG crosses which have literally changed the hash game.Legacy comes up a lot in this podcast, and how you go about achieving it. How do you reach a point where your Strawberry Banana is being used as the base for someone's pheno hunt intended for washing? You'll hear Don of DNA Genetics throw around a lot of strong claims during this pod, such as the time to create a true legacy brand being behind us, as well as how hype smokers that only blow Runtz or LCG crosses don't even know what they want these days.Another prevalent topic throughout this episode is the sheer HEAT of John aka Green Bodhi's herb on the table, none of which you'll note is purple, how he grows it in Oregon, and his laundry list of “OG” and/or questionable growing techniques that seem to bring him 100% germination and time-honored yields. His background story is one that you definitely can't miss, not only in terms of free game, but also sheer intrigue and entertainment. Throughout the episode, you'll see Blackleaf flash around the extremely limited, yet recent, seed collab between Green Bodhi and DNA Genetics that they both claim you can get from them simply by hitting the DMs. The future is looking bright when you consider that two world-renowned heavyweights of legacy breeding and cultivation are currently joining forces to ensure the classics stay around and that someone keeps breeding new innovations on the iconic cuts that time might soon forget. One thing's for sure, by the end of this episode, you'll be fiending for Dog Walker, Chem, Skunk, Kush, Afghani, and Haze crosses like back in the day. Keep your eyes and ears peeled for when John brings up his Tenzen cut, and you won't be sorry.Subscribe to our channel and the FSOTD.com site to keep up with other key players and enjoy conversations with trailblazers from the culture you can't find anywhere else. Drawing on reports from DHS, Fox News, and firsthand accounts, they detail how DNA testing was suspended to conceal crimes, how campaign donations flowed from exploitative growers, and how known sex offenders were employed alongside trafficked children. The segment argues that a corrupt alliance between cartels and political leaders fuels modern-day slavery, human rights abuses, and systemic child exploitation in America.

Was "junk DNA" ever really junk—or did science just need to catch up with design?  In this episode of All Rise, we talk to Dr. Fazale Rana (biochemist and President & CEO at Reasons to Believe) to dive into one of the most groundbreaking scientific reversals in recent history: the 2024 Nobel Prize awarded for discoveries showing that so-called “junk DNA” is functional and essential.  For decades, large portions of the human genome were written off as useless leftovers of evolution. But was that ever good science—or just bad theology in disguise? Fuz Rana walks us through the history of this idea, why many Christian scientists and intelligent design theorists questioned it from the beginning, and how new discoveries are forcing a complete rethinking of what our DNA says about purpose, design, and even God.  Is this the death of the “junk DNA” myth? What does it mean for Darwinian evolution? And how should Christians respond to this scientific turning point?  Whether you're a skeptic, a believer, or just curious about what your genes are really saying, this conversation will give you a fresh look at the intersection of science, faith, and design.    Resources mentioned in this podcast:  George Haraksin and Krista Bontrager (eds.), Revealing God in Science: https://a.co/d/24u5RzX   Other resources mentioned are forthcoming.

Scientists have uncovered a promising new strategy to weaken cancer cells' natural defense mechanisms, potentially making chemotherapy more effective. In a study published in Volume 16 of Oncotarget, researchers identified the protein PRDX1 as a key player in helping tumors resist treatment. By targeting this protein, they propose a novel way to combat aggressive, treatment-resistant cancers. Understanding Why Some Cancers Resist Treatment Chemotherapy works by damaging the DNA of cancer cells, forcing them to self-destruct. However, many cancers develop robust repair systems that fix this damage, allowing the tumor to survive and grow. A central component of this repair machinery is a protein called ATM, which acts like a first responder in the cell, detecting DNA damage and coordinating its repair. In ovarian cancer and other aggressive tumors, high levels of ATM have been associated with poor survival rates and resistance to chemotherapy. The Study: How PRDX1 Protects Cancer Cells The study, titled “PRDX1 protects ATM from arsenite-induced proteotoxicity and maintains its stability during DNA damage signaling,” was led by first author Reem Ali and corresponding author Dindial Ramotar from Hamad Bin Khalifa University in Qatar, in collaboration with researchers from the University of Nottingham in the UK. The hunt for a killer ends with a thumbprint and technology that didn't exist when the crimes were committed. After fifteen years, the brutal murders of Margaret Ebby and Nancy Ludwig—killed five years apart in different Michigan cities—are finally connected through DNA evidence, launching a renewed investigation that faces political obstacles from the start.Detective Dan Snyder, who had lived and breathed the Ludwig case for a decade, nearly gets pushed off the investigation until forensic scientist Heather Helton intervenes, recognizing him as "the investigation embodied." What follows is a masterclass in cold case detective work as a multi-agency task force systematically collects DNA samples from hundreds of people connected to both victims—former lovers, contractors, students, and acquaintances. When the breakthrough finally comes, it's through a partial fingerprint from the Ebby murder scene that sat in evidence for fifteen years. The FBI's new Integrated Automated Fingerprint Identification System matches it to Jeffrey Wayne Gordon, a man with a disturbing history of sexual assaults in Florida who had been released from prison just days before Ebby's murder. Remarkably, Gordon was living just miles from the Flint crime scene, hiding in plain sight all along. The episode also powerfully recounts the story of Marie Gagliano, one of Gordon's early assault victims in Florida, whose attack foreshadowed his escalating violent behavior. Her journey from trauma to recovery provides a window into the lasting impact of violent crime on survivors, ending with her finding both healing and strength. This chilling case demonstrates how advances in forensic science, combined with relentless detective work, can finally bring justice to victims when traditional methods fail. For everyone involved in investigating these murders, the identification of Gordon validated years of dedication and proved that no case is truly unsolvable when technology catches up to evidence preserved by diligent investigators.Send us a text Support the show

Dr. Abe Delpassand, Founder, CEO, and Chairman of the Board at RadioMedix, is concentrated on the development of radiopharmaceuticals for cancer diagnosis and treatment. Advancements in handling radioactive materials and increased availability have enabled the growth of the use of alpha-emitting and beta-emitting radioisotopes in treating cancers that have been resistant to other therapies. Alpha-emitting radioisotopes are particularly interesting because they can cause double-strand DNA damage in cancer cells, making the probability of cancer recurrence much less likely. Abe explains, "Just a brief introduction related to what radiopharmaceuticals are. These are drugs that have three parts, basically. One part is the radioactive material. The second part is what we call a ligand. It's like a vehicle that takes the radioactive material to the target that we have. And there is a third component, which is like a chain attaching the radioisotope to the ligand. Radiopharmaceuticals qualify as a form of therapy because we target a specific receptor antigen metabolic pathway in cancer cells, and this is how we can reach the cancer cells. It has two components: one, diagnostic and therapeutic, which is very unique to this modality because in many other cancer therapies before the treatment, we don't have any way to make sure that the patient who is receiving the treatment, that actually the drug can reach the cancer the patient has." "We have been talking about the value of alpha-emitters in delivering high level of radiation in a targeted fashion to the cancer cells, but we in the last, I'd say 10 years or more, we have learned how to handle these isotopes. That's one aspect of the science part. The other aspect is the availability of these isotopes. Now the supply of these isotopes is becoming a lot more, and they are becoming more available."    #RadioMedix #TeamRadioMedix #Radiopharmaceuticals #TargetedAlphaTherapy #OncologyInnovation #NuclearMedicine #CancerResearch #RadiogandTherapy #PrecisionOncology #Theranostics #SPICACenter #OncologyCommunity #AlphaEmittingRadioisotopes #BetaEmittingRadioisotopes radiomedix.com Download the transcript here

Now the supply of these isotopes is becoming a lot more, and they are becoming more available."    #RadioMedix #TeamRadioMedix #Radiopharmaceuticals #TargetedAlphaTherapy #OncologyInnovation #NuclearMedicine #CancerResearch #RadiogandTherapy #PrecisionOncology #Theranostics #SPICACenter #OncologyCommunity #AlphaEmittingRadioisotopes #BetaEmittingRadioisotopes radiomedix.com Listen to the podcast here
