Are you letting your success create distance between you and your team? In this episode, John Maxwell unpacks why leadership success can easily lead to isolation—and what you can do to resist it. Discover how making friends (not just fans) helps you stay relatable, authentic, and influential. After his lesson, Mark Cole and Chris Goede dive into real-life strategies to help you put connection at the heart of your leadership journey. Key Takeaways Success can isolate, but connection is the cure. Intentional relationships keep leaders grounded and approachable. Service trumps titles. The more you value and serve those around you, the greater trust and real influence you build. Shrink the gap with authenticity: practice humility, seek honest feedback, and be present with your people. Our BONUS resource for this episode is the Good Leaders Make Friends, Not Fans Worksheet, which includes fill-in-the-blank notes from John's teaching. We all want closer friendships, but too few of us are actually having the conversations that would get us there. This week Em and Cass answer a listener question about how to have hard conversations with friends, and get into the years they spent hiding things from each other: postpartum shame, a months-long sex-life crisis, feeling left out, feeling jealous, feeling like too much. They read the community polls (68% of you have lied about how good your sex life is, 85% of you have hidden a relationship problem from your friends because you didn't want them to judge your partner) and answer five anonymous confessions, from the friend who's secretly not excited when her friends get pregnant, to the woman who hooked up with her friend's boyfriend before they started dating, to the one where you don't know how to tell your friend she isn't showing up. For anyone who's been biting their tongue with their best friend because they were scared of what the honesty would cost, this epi is for you, babe. Lisa Kudrow (Friends, The Comeback) reveals some of the most astonishing stories and ideas she's ever shared publicly, from mysterious messages received after her mother's passing to profound spiritual experiences that challenged her understanding of reality itself.Lisa opens up about supernatural events surrounding her mom's death, the unexplained text messages she received from beyond, and her family's experiences with an energy worker, including a remarkable moment when her son seemingly communicated that he was okay. She also shares why she was captivated by The Telepathy Tapes and why she believes "there's something going on" beyond our current scientific understanding. She explores what she learned about the nature of reality through playing "Phoebe Buffay", whether childhood imaginary friends might not be imaginary after all, and her thought-provoking perspective on why we're here, and why perhaps we're not meant to fully understand the spiritual side of existence.Lisa also discusses concrete examples of how spirituality can provide guidance when modern science falls short, the role of intuition and her inner voice in shaping her life's biggest decisions, and her mind-bending theories about possible causes of dementia and Alzheimer's disease. The conversation dives deep into creativity, consciousness, and human connection as Lisa explains why acting is ultimately an exercise in empathy, whether great actors may actually be channeling real people, and how portraying "Phoebe" transformed the way she thinks about life, consciousness, and the unseen world around us.Lisa also reflects on recently watching Friends episodes for the first time, revealing how her perspective on "Phoebe" has changed over the years, and shares the invaluable lessons her co-stars taught her about openness, playfulness, and unlocking creativity as an actor. She discusses why she chose acting over medical school, how those career-defining decisions unfolded, and what her intuition continues to tell her about future entertainment projects.Plus, Lisa breaks down why she loves Mayim Bialik's Breakdown and The Big Bang Theory series, and explains why specific episodes resonated with her so deeply, including conversations with Thomas Campbell, Anita Moorjani, Dr. James B. Glattfelder, Dr. Ellen Langer, Dr. Kevin Knuth, and Dr. Tara Swart.Enjoy Lisa's deeply personal exploration of the mysteries that exist at the edges of science, spirituality, creativity, and human experience, as she reflects on life's biggest questions—from consciousness and intuition to grief, purpose, and the possibility of something beyond what we can currently explain!Follow us on Substack for Exclusive Bonus Content: https://bialikbreakdown.substack.com/BialikBreakdown.comYouTube.com/mayimbialikIf you're struggling with OCD or unrelenting intrusive thoughts, NOCD can help. TODAY'S QUESTION: Hi Fellas, My group of friends from high school wanted to rent a house for a week by a lake and relive our glory days. I was the most enthusiastic when planning started and said I would be there the whole week. Now the house is rented and it's a 2.5 hour drive. I have a job currently and already took the vacation block for the whole week. I have been applying for better jobs, but did not expect anything in today's job market. I applied and interviewed to the perfect job. Promotion, raise, easier commute, better work life balance, everything. I was given a job offer but they want me to start the Monday of the lake weekend. Now I'm looking for advice. Thanks, Troy Tulowitski (My real name is ***** but I would prefer to stay anonymous and thought you would appreciate the Rockies reference.) Everybody arguing about the Nolan Wells case online is arguing about the wrong hour. Not the autopsy. Not the phone. The boat ride home — the moment a group of eighteen-year-olds untied from a barrier island and left one of their own behind on it.Horn Island sits about ten miles off Ocean Springs, Mississippi. The National Park Service keeps it undeveloped. There is no shelter out there, no drinking water, no store, no cell tower. For one day a year it's the best party on the coast. Every other hour of the year it's empty, and after dark on the Fourth it goes right back to empty.Nolan Wells was a college wide receiver, eighteen years old, out there with kids he grew up with. They came home. He was found in the water two days later by a National Park Service ranger, off the island's northwestern tip.Tony reads the mailbag straight. Nobody wrote in asking about tide charts. They wrote in asking how you get on a boat and look at an empty seat and pull away from the dock. They wrote in asking whether anybody counted. They wrote in asking what that island offers a person who's still on it at midnight, alone, with no way to call anyone. The sheriff's office has said a friend reached the Coast Guard that night and that Nolan's mother called the sheriff's office soon after. Officials have said they believe he drowned while simultaneously insisting the work to determine what actually occurred is ongoing. No cause of death has been released. Ben Crump is investigating for the family. A grand jury is coming. The island first. Then everything else.END_LINKS:Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/ Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Ken learns that Shedeur Sanders' inner circle and some fans are upset over comments questioning whether his off-field ventures could be affecting his focus on football, and pushes back hard, insisting he never said anything unfair. He and Anthony dig into whether it's normal for a young quarterback to juggle modeling, music and reality TV while fighting for a starting job, and question the oddly specific claim that Shedeur works out four times a day. The conversation also touches on the short film where Shedeur says old friends stopped reaching out once things got hard in Cleveland, with Ken arguing that reaction is understandable rather than mean-spirited. It closes with Ken standing by his takes and refusing to back down from the backlash.

This live Q&A was originally recorded in 2020 as part of the Angel Membership Program. Hello, beautiful souls! Welcome back to the Angels & Awakening Podcast. I'm your host and author, Julie Jancius. Friends, this is one of my favorite kinds of episodes — real questions from real women who are doing the work, and honest answers straight from spirit. If you have ever tried to get into oneness and felt like you almost had it and then lost it, this one is for you.
Mens Room Question: Who or what got its teeth into you?
I start the episode with gratitude for the love of my life, Ethel Mertz my dog, my mother, and the opportunities I have. I acknowledge the sadness of loss but cherish the happiness I have experienced. Missing Ethel's stinky breath, her spot on the velvet couch, and the way she refused to eat out of a normal dog bowl.

Elsewhere, there's chat about Andrey Rublev winning in Bastad and Daniel Merida continuing his rise with a title in Umag. Part two (32:27) - We discuss a fun week on the WTA Tour in Athens as Maria Sakkari followed in her mother's footsteps and reached the final, while Barbora Krejcikova won the title. Subscribe at thecyclingpodcast.comThe fifth instalment of our wall-to-wall, behind-the-scenes look at Paul Seixas's début Tour de France begins where Seixas's love affair with cycling and the Tour also started, in Magland, just a few kilometres from the stage 15 finish on the Plateau de Solaison. It was indeed an intense and emotional few days for the 19-year-old, as Daniel Friebe reports in this episode. As always, we hear from team-mates, coaches and opponents, as Seixas underlines his credentials as the man most likely to end Tadej Pogačar's reign. Of course no one is any closer to knowing when that will be, or indeed how Pogačar will fall or abdicate.

What if couples devastated by sexual betrayal could heal together instead of separately? Clinton and Charity Muñoz expose a massive gap in traditional porn recovery's focus on sexual addiction for husbands and betrayal trauma for wives that leaves couples without guidance on how to actually restore their relationship in community. Hidden Killers With Tony Brueski | True Crime News & Commentary
Nolan Wells went to Horn Island on the Fourth of July with a group of friends. They came back. He didn't. Two days later, his body was pulled from the water by a park ranger — and the people closest to him started offering different accounts of what happened. The Wells family says his Snapchat data was wiped after his death. The FBI is running forensics on his phone. Over sixty witnesses have been interviewed. Death threats linked to the case are under separate investigation. And the friends who left Nolan behind on a federally protected island without water or transportation have given investigators stories that contradict each other.Jennifer Coffindaffer, a retired FBI Special Agent, joins Tony and Robin to examine the cracks forming between the friends' public statements and the facts investigators are piecing together. She addresses the Snapchat allegation directly — whether it constitutes evidence of a cover-up or whether there are plausible explanations — and what it means that the FBI is involved but maintains the local sheriff has jurisdiction despite Horn Island being federal land. The case is being investigated as a death — not yet classified as a crime. But the distance between what the friends are saying and what the evidence appears to show is growing. Coffindaffer walks through what that gap means from an investigative standpoint and why the next thirty days may determine whether anyone is ever held accountable for leaving an eighteen-year-old alone on an island.Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/ Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Friends of the Rosary,Today's in first reading (Matthew 12:38-42), in the feast of St. Apollinaris, Bishop and Martyr, we see the opponents of the Lord asking for a sign of Heaven. Jesus tells them that no sign will be given except the sign of Jonah, that is, the resurrection.Christ the Lord points that repentance is the sign they are missing. The people of Nineveh heard a warning and changed. The Queen of the South traveled far to seek wisdom. But standing before the scribes and Pharisees is Someone greater than Jonah and greater than Solomon, and still they resist.God wants a heart that becomes repentant, merciful, and humble. He is not asking for religious performance without conversion. The sign is already here: Christ died and rose. Now the question is whether we will repent, listen, and walk humbly.Ave Maria!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! An eighteen-year-old went to Horn Island with friends on the Fourth of July. His friends came home. He didn't. When his body was found two days later, the questions started — and the answers from the people who were with him kept shifting.Nolan Wells' family alleges his Snapchat accounts were wiped clean after his death. The FBI is examining digital evidence. More than sixty witnesses have been interviewed. And the friends who left Nolan on a federally protected barrier island without a phone, water, or any way off are providing investigators with accounts that don't match each other.Retired FBI Special Agent Jennifer Coffindaffer breaks it down with Tony and Robin. She digs into why conflicting accounts from witnesses this early in an investigation are a red flag, what the FBI's involvement actually looks like when the local sheriff maintains primary jurisdiction, and whether the public's polarization — some calling it a tragic accident, others pointing to something deliberate — is helping or hurting the search for truth.Attorney Ben Crump has launched an independent investigation after his team identified contradictions in the case. Crump announced the findings will go before a grand jury. Meanwhile, the cause and manner of Nolan Wells' death still have not been released. The friends who were there that day hold the answers. The question is whether their answers will ever match.Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/ Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? SummaryIn this Coaches Roundtable episode, Chase and Chris explain why one bad meal, missed workout, or hard week does not mean you failed. They talk about the stories people tell themselves after making a mistake. When you say things like, “I can never stay consistent,” it becomes harder to get back on track. Instead, they encourage you to focus on the next choice you can make right now. They also answer a question about friends and family who pressure you to “live a little” when you are trying to make healthier choices. Chase and Chris explain how to set clear boundaries, stop overexplaining your decisions, and ask the people close to you for support.Next, they break down how poor sleep can make you feel hungrier, increase cravings, lower your energy, and make good food choices harder. They also explain why sleep can affect the number you see on the scale. The episode also covers why you may feel weaker during workouts. One weaker workout is not always a problem. Sleep, stress, food, hydration, recovery, and exercise order can all affect your strength. Finally, Chase and Chris discuss training after an LCL injury. They explain why pain should not be ignored and why it is important to speak with a doctor or physical therapist before using a knee sleeve to push through painful exercises. The main message is simple: progress does not require perfection. Learn from setbacks, make the next best choice, and keep moving forward.Chapters(00:00) Stop Turning One Mistake Into a Failure Story(01:43) How to Fail Forward and Bounce Back Faster(04:09) Consistency Matters More Than Perfection(05:44) What to Do When People Tell You to “Live a Little”(06:56) Why Other People May Push Back on Your Healthy Choices(09:04) How to Ask Your Spouse, Friends, or Family for Support(11:17) Set Boundaries Without Forcing Others to Change(13:07) How Poor Sleep Makes Hunger Worse(15:02) Why Sleep Loss Increases Cravings(16:13) Set Up Your Environment for Tired Days(18:22) Hunger Is Not Always a Willpower Problem(19:13) How Sleep Can Change the Number on the Scale(22:47) Why You May Feel Weaker During Your Workouts(24:45) When a Drop in Strength May Mean You Need a Break(25:25) Should You Use a Knee Sleeve to Train Through Pain?(27:46) Why a Knee Sleeve Should Not Cover Up the Real Problem(29:22) The All-or-Nothing Mindset Masterclass(30:21) Closing ThoughtsSUBMIT YOUR QUESTIONS to be answered on the show: https://forms.gle/B6bpTBDYnDcbUkeD7How to Connect with Us:Chase's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/changing_chase/Chris' Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/conquer_fitness2021/Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/665770984678334/Interested in 1:1 Coaching: https://conquerfitnessandnutrition.com/1on1-coachingJoin The Fit Fam Collective: https://conquerfitnessandnutrition.com/fit-fam-collective
