Louis in Mobile for Fairhope Brewing Company. It's cheers to charity and tonight (2:11) Dalton Dan and myself will be back behind the bar with Fairhope Brewing Company (2:15) Slinging beers and a hundred percent of your (2:18) Donations in the form of tips for us like the movie cocktail with a big tips ring the bell (2:23) Whatever put those big tips in because they go to warrior legacy ranch (2:27) Joining me now my buddy and I the man behind warrior legacy ranch the president warrior legacy ranch (2:33) Marine Corps corporal and buddy of the station Patrick jump joins us now.Hey Patrick (2:40) I'm good, man, and (2:42) You know you remind folks to this is giving Tuesday (2:45) And there's a lot of you know a lot of charities and and worthwhile charities out there saying hey think about this (2:50) You did cyber Monday now giving Tuesday. Well. This is the way we want to give on this Tuesday (2:55) We're gonna serve y'all beers and y'all can donate money that goes to warrior legacy ranch somebody who doesn't know (3:03) What WLR is what's your what's your uh you know elevator speech the quick version of what y'all do? (3:12) Listeners out there (3:14) Warrior legacy ranch is a multi (3:18) Multi-program facility design (3:21) The long-term goal is to build a facility to do platoon (3:25) Reunions so that veterans can come in for a week and stay and reconnect with people that they served with (3:30) But for a local impact for the Gulf Coast we had the Gulf Coast veterans Community Resource Center (3:37) Which is a lot of different programs, I think it was recently categorized as a mental health facility (3:43) But it's not a mental health facility. It's a place where veterans can go to (3:48) connect with other veterans (3:52) With mental health in mind (3:55) But not there there are no professional (3:59) Psychiatrists and psychologists in fact I would refer you to that's recovering mobile (4:06) Yeah, and by the way to the the groundbreaking has started out on the facility (4:12) But this will be like you said part of what's going on will bring you know (4:16) veterans in from all over the country to beat up, but this is going to be like (4:21) Just a hub. I mean what yeah, I don't want to use the wrong word here, but to me Patrick (4:25) It seems like a hub for for all the veterans in our area to be able to come out to the resource facility (4:32) Yeah, it is exactly that the hub is a great word for it (4:36) I always think back like my vision of it when it when we were first starting to kind of plan (4:42) This was like those old-school (4:46) Gen Xers and myself will probably remember like when cities had community centers, and they did events there for families and (4:56) For men for women for for families all together (5:00) That that's kind of where it is where where people could go in and reserve the facility and use it to carry out you know (5:06) Organizations can can reserve it and carry out that that's kind of missing from now (5:12) from our area so (5:14) I mean I grew up in the north so we had that but (5:19) That that's what I envisioned this this hub for (5:22) You know different military organizations different veterans organizations to come in use the the 20-acre property and (5:29) Do something with other veterans and then we'll fill that time on our own with our programs in the empty spaces (5:37) In military order the Purple Heart needs a meeting facility or wants to do something outside (5:42) Hey sign up reserve the space for the weekend, and it's yours (5:46) It's really cool (5:47) And these are gonna be big demand if y'all heard me talk about in the past the stats here the number of veterans (5:53) Right here in our corner of the world (5:56) there's a lot and (5:57) To have a facility like this long time coming so good good on you, man (6:03) So yeah, you talked about the stats (6:05) I don't have mobiles, but but I have Baldwin County's stat and it is (6:09) 11.2% of the population or 26,000 better than Baldwin County (6:16) And we don't even we don't even have a VA you got to go to Mobile or Pensacola for that (6:20) So we're trying to fill that gap in our community that's missing (6:25) For those 26,000 veterans, I think all of us could sit on the property right now (6:34) It'd be a little tight, but yeah, you know what's good too if you're listening (6:39) The veterans obviously y'all listen to what Patrick's talking about you may be familiar with what's going on there (6:44) But folks that aren't make sure your friends and family that are veterans know about this, right? (6:50) That's what the keys to I've got that many people (6:52) Because that number is actually bigger for Mobile County and then you bring in Southeast, Mississippi and Northwest, Florida and that number (6:59) I think we figured it one day was near (7:01) 80,000 (7:02) You put that through you got to make sure those folks know, you know, this facilities here moving forward (7:08) That's a key too. So y'all are all gonna be profits for us and spread the word. That's that's what I'm it's a job (7:14) I'm giving you on this Tuesday (7:15) So we got to make sure people know what's going on talk about tonight, too (7:19) Could be raising money and this is a if somebody can't make it out tonight (7:23) Which is the most fun most fun the way? (7:26) For giving Tuesday's to have a beer and give a big tip that goes to warrior legacy ranch (7:29) But if not Patrick, how do people make donations to what you're doing or just see more about what you're doing? (7:35) so warrior legacy ranch (7:38) Click-to-donate button there (7:40) It's not posted on the website. But if you go to our Facebook page (7:43) We're currently trying to raise some money to build an 800 foot long fence (7:48) So that we can do equine therapy with bonfire ranch on our property. We're trying to build this (7:54) 835 foot fence so there's like a hundred different fence posts where you could buy a plaque and we send you a little (8:01) A (8:03) Thank-you gift for for purchasing that and and it may be you know, a one of 200 available bottle (8:11) that ever existed as a thank-you gift for your donation, but (8:15) You get a chance to honor a veteran or your family (8:19) I know that you'll be along the side of some other veterans some elementary school classes (8:24) I know one of the local elementary schools in Baldwin County did it as a fundraiser for their grades to (8:30) Remember the school as a contributor see it.So they didn't get the gift (8:38) We'll find something else but fun kool-aid or something (8:40) Let's say I'd make a donation just not to have to drive t-post anybody who's done that in their life (8:45) I'll make a donation for somebody else to drive those (8:47) Those t-post in to make that fence for the equine therapy (8:50) But people could people ask you more questions about that obviously through the website or a bend your ear tonight and say hey (8:57) What's this all about? I? (8:59) Will be there. All right, good stuff Patrick. We will see you tonight and (9:03) Talk more about what you're doing at warrior legacy ranch and the Veterans Resource Center.Thank you, brother (9:08) All right. Thanks on all right there goes Patrick jump and yep. He'll be there tonight with us five o'clock (9:13) It starts goes 5 to 7 (9:15) Fairhope Brewing Company in Mobile on st.Louis for cheers to charity (9:20) 100% of the tips go to warriors legacy ranch and the Veterans Resource Center. So come on out. Have a good time (9:26) There tonight, all right coming right back more of midday mobile

This Thanksgiving, we show our gratitude not just to the pilgrims for inspiring this holiday, but also for sowing the seeds of America to come. As the early English settlers struggled to adapt to the New World, they experimented with a socialist-like communal society. However, they soon learned its flaws and suffered significant consequences. Author, historian, and pastor Dr. Jerry Newcombe joins the Rundown to discuss the story of the Pilgrims and how their decision to embrace free-market principles eventually helped them survive. This thanksgiving, we hear from a wounded warrior whose message is both a call for gratitude and a call for connection. Marine veteran and Purple Heart recipient Gabe Martinez joins the Rundown to share how he survived a life-changing explosion while deployed in Afghanistan on Thanksgiving Day. He shares the people who carried him through recovery, and why 15 years later, he's urging fellow veterans not to face the holidays alone. Plus, commentary by Vice President of Communications for Focus on The Family, Paul Batura. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

The Trident: Leadership Lessons from the Battlefield to the Boardroom This week, Marcus, Melanie welcome an extraordinary warrior, leader, and encourager—Jason Redman, retired Navy SEAL, bestselling author, and one of the most respected voices on resilience and overcoming adversity. Jason served 21 years in the U.S. Navy, including 11 years as an enlisted SEAL and 10 years as a SEAL officer, leading combat operations across the globe. His career is a study in grit, redemption, and relentless dedication—from early deployments in Central and South America to commanding SEAL teams in Iraq and Afghanistan. But Jason's life shifted forever on September 13, 2007, when he was acting as Assault Force Commander during a mission in Iraq. An enemy ambush erupted. Jason was shot eight times, including a devastating gunshot wound to the face. His team fought through, secured the target, and saved his life. What followed was a recovery few could imagine: 40 surgeries, months in the hospital, and a battle not just for survival, but for identity, leadership, and purpose. Jason didn't just recover—he returned to active duty and continued serving until retirement in 2013. His courage, valor, and leadership earned him the Purple Heart, Bronze Star with Valor, and the respect of warriors around the world. Why This Episode Matters Jason Redman has become one of the most powerful voices in America on resilience. His life is proof that the human spirit can rise, rebuild, and lead again—no matter the setback. Whether you're fighting through a personal battle, searching for purpose, or simply need a reminder of what true grit looks like, Jason's story will challenge, encourage, and strengthen you. In this episode you will hear: • The very first book I bought about the SEAL teams - I was in a truck stop and there was a case of books you could buy for a buck. There was a book about SEAL operations in Vietnam. Four years later, I checked into SEAL Team 4. (6:22) • I was about 95lbs and 5' tall at 15, and that recruiter took one look at me, and was like: “You are not what the SEALS are looking for.” (7:40) • There are way more operational opportunities for enlisted SEALS than there are for officers. (20:44) • Seaman to Admiral takes individuals who don't have a degree. They send them to school. It's an accelerated program. You're part of the ROTC program. You commission out of that and you come back as a SEAL officer. (24:02) • We were all bleeding so bad, and it created this mist in the helicopter of blood. The entire inside of the helicopter was coated in blood. (43:06) • My recovery time took 4 years and 40 surgeries to put me back together. (43:38) • Be thankful for the hardships you have in life and for hard things that happen because I think they set you up for success in other things. (43:48) • Me failing as a leader was probably the hardest thing I've ever had to come back from. (43:56) • Lead yourself, Lead others, Lead always. (44:39) • [Marcus] When he was in the hospital, he wrote on a bright orange piece of paper and tacked it on the door. And he wrote this letter saying “Don't come in here feeling sorry for me. I will overcome.” (48:48) • It's amazing when you're around Christians who have a appreciation for the world and a love of Christ and a love of humanity. (51:07) • These are questions I like to ask veterans: “What do you want to accomplish? What is your American dream? (53:52) • Whether you're starting your own business, or you're a leader in a business, we need you. This country needs you. In This Episode You Will Hear: • At redeployment, something happened to me. During Ramadi, they started really looking at traumatic brain injuries. They started putting sensors in the helmets. (30:34) • If you didn't lose a liter of blood or you're not missing a body part, it's Ibuprofen & water. (30:54) • When I got back and they hooked up my helmet, and they're like: “something's up.” (31:02) • At 31:10, Rodney tells of one of his traumatic brain injury events as a 50 cal gunner. [He hit the gun at 20mph. It was the only thing that kept him from being thrown from the vehicle. • I did about 5 months in another deployment and was Medivacked out to Germany with another head injury. (32:29) • It wasn't like I had to learn to walk again. I had to learn how to walk straight. (33:35) • You know that you have to wait for that 30, 45 to 90 second, depending on what kind of round it is. And then you hear the sound – “Here it is.” You gotta run, just hoping that it doesn't hit you. (36:05) • There's beauty in some fights. (38:33) • Sometimes there's like a calm and pause in war. (42:35) • If you're gonna transition from the military, I think there's some things that are grounded in you – core beliefs, values, and everything like that. (49:26) • At Tractor Supply, one of the things that brought me to it is the core missions and values. (49:46) • 10% of all people who work for Tractor Supply are veterans. (50:46) • This was the first company that actually told me, “Hey, go home and spend time with your family.” (51:13) • [Lindsay] Tractor [Supply} has helped put mor leashes in the hands of veterans, and they really believe in our mission. This is the VIC 4 VETS, Weekly Honored Veteran. SUBMITTED BY: Sue Goodman Sgt Joseph Anton WuestnerDad was inducted into the Army on June 18th, 1941. He was released over 4 years later on November, 25th, 1945. He completed his basic training at Fort Leonard Wood in Missouri. He also trained in Louisiana. He then traveled to Hawaii and was transferred by ship to the battleground of New Guinea. Joseph Anton Wuestner was a Rifleman in the Infantry and fought both in New Guinea and Luzon in The Philippines. In The Philippines, he mentioned (in one of his letters to Mom) that he had been in continuous fighting for over 100 days. He witnessed horrific scenes and told Wayne that, in one battle, only he and another soldier survived. He and his fellow soldiers dealt with torrential rains, heat, disease(often transmitted by mosquitos,) and sometimes lack of food. One time, he had only a can of tuna to share with the men in his squad. Dad spent a month in the hospital in The Philippines. We are not sure why he was hospitalized. We do know that he had malaria while he was overseas and also came home with shrapnel in his back. In one of his letters to Mom, he said that he was supposed to receive a Purple Heart for his wounds, but evidently paperwork from overseas became jumbled or lost and he never received this award. When the war was over and Dad returned to the USA, he was in poor physical shape and spent several months recovering in a military hospital in Texas. Sergeant Joseph A. Wuestner is Honored with a stone commemorating his service in World War II in Veterans Tribute Park in St. Charles, MO. This was a gift to Mom from her Grandchildren and her Great Grandchildren.________________________________________________________________ This Week’s VIC 4 VETS, Honored Veteran on NewsTalkSTL.With support from our friends at:Alamo Military Collectables, and Monical’s PizzaSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
What do a struggling student, a decorated Navy SEAL, and a hospital CEO all have in common? The answer: Jeff Mengenhausen. In this explosive episode of the Crackin' Backs Podcast, we sit down with the only Navy SEAL in the country running a hospital—a man who's rewriting the rules of leadership, resilience, and what healthcare should really be.Jeff's story is anything but ordinary. Today, he's transforming Montrose Regional Health into one of the most respected community hospitals in the nation. But his mission doesn't stop there—Jeff is exposing the cracks in America's hospital culture and challenging the grip Big Pharma and profit-driven systems have on patient care.Inside this episode, we ask:Why isn't the Navy SEAL ethos of “embrace the suck” translating into healthcare leadership? What behind-the-scenes SEAL lessons still drive Jeff's decisions as a hospital CEO?Why are so many hospitals failing their patients—and how is Montrose setting a new standard?Has Big Pharma hijacked the direction of care in America? And after trillions spent on cancer and chronic disease, why aren't outcomes improving? This conversation isn't just about medicine. It's about survival, clarity under pressure, and the courage to flip a broken system on its head.Learn more about Jeff Mengenhausen and Montrose Regional Health:Montrose Regional HealthWe are two sports chiropractors, seeking knowledge from some of the best resources in the world of health. To discuss, "You Can't Sit Down" by The Dovells, you need to go back to "Sit Down Servant" by The Staple Singers, a joyous hymn to entering heaven with syncopated handclaps. You also need to return to the raucous instrumental version by The Philip Upchurch Combo and then you'll hear where the South Street singers got all those elements for their 1963 hit. Did you ever wanna hear Wolfman Jack & The Wolfpack do the song? We have you covered with the cover - surprisingly it sounds a lil bit like The Cramps! Australia's Purple Hearts make you stamp your hands and clap your feet, but give the singer a lozenge! Our final version is by Les Calamités and they speed that backbeat up and get their motor movin' ... Gleep gloop!!

World War II hero Phil Larimore remains the youngest candidate to ever graduate from Army Officer Training School, which he did at the age of seventeen, on the eve of America's involvement in World War II. Landing on the Anzio beachhead in February 1944, Phil – the youngest commissioned US officer in World War II – was put in charge of an Ammunition Pioneer Platoon of the 3rd Infantry Division. Their job: to deliver ammunition to the frontline foxholes—a dangerous assignment involving regular forays into No Man's Land. As Phil fought his way up the Italian boot, into Southern France and across the Rhine River into Germany, he experienced some of the most intense combat ever. But it was what happened in the final stages of the war, when Phil was sent on a secret mission into Nazi-occupied Czechoslovakia to find the farm where Hitler was hiding his world-famous Lipizzaner stallions that makes his story incredibly special and is the ultimate expression of Phil Larimore's life-long love of horses. Like so many veterans of that “greatest generation,” Phil didn't talk much about his war experiences until much later in life, and when he did his stories seemed outrageous to his family and his sons. After his death, his son and our guest Dr. Walt Larimore discovered his father's papers in the attic—and learned that his father's stories were all true. In this episode, Dr. Larimore describes his father's remarkable service to his country, including meeting Eisenhower, losing his leg, fighting to stay in the army, and being awarded the Distinguished Service Cross, two silver stars, two bronze stars, three Purple Hearts, the Medal of France, the Crois du Garde with a palm, and more. All of this and more is described in Dr. Walt Larimore's remarkable book At First Light.Heroes Behind HeadlinesExecutive Producer Ralph PezzulloProduced & Engineered by Mike DawsonMusic provided by ExtremeMusic.com

Send us a textIn this moving episode of The Three Guys Podcast, we step into history through one family's story of courage, loss, and remembrance.Staff Sergeant Robert K. Dean, served in the 143rd Infantry Regiment of the 36th Infantry Division during World War II. In January 1944, he was killed in action during the infamous attempt to cross the Rapido River near Cassino, Italy — one of the war's most tragic and heroic battles. He left behind his wife, Agnes, and their eight-month-old son, never knowing the generations his sacrifice would inspire. Nearly eighty years later, his granddaughter stood at his resting place in the Sicily-Rome American Cemetery, honoring a man she never met but whose courage continues to echo through time. For his valor and service, Staff Sergeant Dean was awarded the Silver Star, Purple Heart, Combat Infantryman Badge, World War II Victory Medal, American Campaign Medal, Distinguished Unit Citation, Good Conduct Medal, and the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal. This episode blends battlefield history, family reflection, and the emotional power of visiting a hero's grave — reminding us that remembrance is not just about the past, but how it shapes who we are today.“Time will not dim the glory of their deeds.” – Gen. John J. Pershing

Part 3 - Dan is an Iraq War veteran, Purple Heart recipient, and one of the most selfless people I've ever met. After serving his country, he dedicated his life to helping veterans — opening two gyms, creating jobs, and giving others a place to belong. But in the process, he lost everything: his house, his car, his relationship, and his sense of self. Dan hit rock bottom and spent 30 days at the Milwaukee VA Domiciliary. That time changed everything. Today, he's rebuilding his life — working as a personal security guard, back in the gym, and rediscovering who he is beyond the uniform. His story is raw, emotional, and full of redemption.

Daryl gets into Tim's inconsistencies in podcast, article and TV interviews on injuries and resulting awards such as the Purple Heart, Bronze Star, and Silver Star, the growth of SOF worship as a recruitment tool through the Global War on Terror and it's consequences, just how dangerous Kennedy's interference during the disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal truly was, and exploiting and disrespecting the dead. The lads also get into current active investigations into Tim Kennedy's alleged stolen valor, Kennedy's political connections to the Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth and President Trump, the possible internal protection he is receiving from consequences from the U.S. Military, and much more in this deep dive on Tim's shady stories.CHECK OUT OUR GUEST:Bad news, Projekt Atlas was seemingly banned, if he comes back, we will update this link to his page! https://www.instagram.com/projektatlasRAADS Autism Test:https://embrace-autism.com/raads-r/Check out PP.TF here:https://pptaskforce.comwww.instagram.com/pptaskforce.est23/Check out our Patreon here to support what we do and get insider perks! https://www.patreon.com/CBRNArtCheck out our sponsors: Qore Performance Cooling / Heating / Hydration for Plate Carriers and Chest Rigs:For 10% off, use Code: ARTANDWAR10https://www.qoreperformance.comCloud Defensive / Chad Defensive Rifle / EDC Lights:For 10% off site wide, that stacks with any Cloud Defensive sales, use Code: ARTANDWAR10https://clouddefensive.comAttorneys for Freedom - Attorneys on Retainer Program, sign up via this link to support the show:https://attorneysonretainer.us/artandwar Use code: ARTANDWAR10 for $10 off an SMU Belt at AWSin.com Check out our link tree for the rest of our stuff:https://link.space/@CBRNartFollow the lads on IG: Nathan / Main Page: https://www.instagram.com/cbrnart/?hl=en B.R: https://www.instagram.com/br.the.anarchLucas: https://www.instagram.com/heartl1ne/ Phil: https://www.instagram.com/philmxengland/

What happens when politics becomes performance and politicians become influencers? In today's Part 2 episode, former Marine and NYT bestselling author Elliot Ackerman joins Ryan to talk about the idea that “everything's a racket,” the collapse of institutional trust, and why restraint used to define real leadership. They talk about how cancel culture morphed into shamelessness as a superpower, why we might be living in a post-shame society, Ambrose Bierce's wild literary exit, and why modern media feels more like professional wrestling than journalism.Elliot Ackerman is the New York Times bestselling author of the novels 2054, 2034, Halcyon, Red Dress in Black and White, Waiting for Eden, Dark at the Crossing, and Green on Blue, as well as the memoirs The Fifth Act: America's End in Afghanistan and Places and Names: On War, Revolution, and Returning. Elliot's books have been nominated for the National Book Award, the Andrew Carnegie Medal in both fiction and nonfiction, and the Dayton Literary Peace Prize, among others. He is a contributing writer at The Atlantic, a Senior Fellow at Yale's Jackson School of Global Affairs, and a veteran of the Marine Corps and CIA special operations, having served five tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan, where he received the Silver Star, the Bronze Star for Valor, and the Purple Heart. Be sure to check out Elliot's latest book, SHEEPDOGS. Apple Studios has actually bought the rights to develop the book as a series with Tom Hanks production company.
