In today's episode, Colleen shares a story about a client who unsubscribed from her email list—and how that one glitch almost triggered a cascade of false assumptions, unspoken tension, and missed opportunity. It's a reminder that the smallest emotional reactions (the ones that barely register) are often the most dangerous. Because they go unchecked. Unquestioned. Unchallenged. This episode will help you stop letting your emotions drive blind—and show you how to reroute your thinking so you can create a different future than your past.
Enjoyed this episode or the podcast in general? Send me a text message:The F-22 Raptor stands as the undisputed heavyweight champion of the skies. With a reputation so formidable that its mere presence changes the calculus of aerial warfare, this fifth-generation fighter has dominated for nearly two decades through a perfect fusion of stealth, speed, and lethal precision. What makes this aircraft truly exceptional isn't just its ability to dance through radar undetected or pivot with physics-defying thrust vectoring in a dogfight. It's the cold, calculated efficiency with which it eliminates threats. Whether delivering knockout punches from over 100 miles away with its AIM-260 missiles or outmaneuvering opponents in close combat, the Raptor represents air supremacy in its purest form. When pilots say, "You never saw it coming," they're describing the Raptor's calling card—silent, invisible, deadly. While the Air Force prepares for the next generation with the shadowy F-47, the Raptor continues evolving behind closed hangar doors. Since 2018, select F-22s have served as flying laboratories, testing experimental technologies that may have fast-tracked development of its successor. This isn't a fighter fading into obsolescence; it's a teacher passing its lessons forward while still maintaining its edge in combat. With fewer than 150 airframes remaining, each Raptor becomes more precious—and potentially more lethal as upgrades continue to enhance its capabilities. The question isn't whether the F-22 will retire, but what happens to air dominance when it does. Despite challenges with range limitations and aging systems, this apex predator still flies, still hunts, and still strikes fear into enemy hearts. Because as history has shown us time and again, true champions don't just disappear—they leave legacies that define generations. Listen to discover why, even today, raptors don't retire—they strike.Support the showTo help support this podcast and become a PilotPhotog ProCast member: https://www.buzzsprout.com/1555784/supportIf you enjoy this episode, subscribe to this podcast, you can find links to most podcast streaming services here: PilotPhotog Podcast (buzzsprout.com) Sign up for the free weekly newsletter Hangar Flyingwith Tog here: https://hangarflyingwithtog.com You can check out my YouTube channel for many videos on fighter planes here: https://youtube.com/c/PilotPhotog If you'd like to support this podcast via Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/PilotPhotog And finally, you can follow me on Twitter here: https://twitter.com/pilotphotog

Today's guest, Rachel Ehrenfeld, author of The Soros Agenda, perceptively predicted, Unchallenged, Soros would change the political landscape of the U.S. Join her on the journey as she exposes the Orwellian lingo, schemes, and strategies Soros has been using to transform America from a thriving, law-and-order democracy into a Sorostian world. George Soros's past as a survivor of World War II is an experience he applies as his primary credential to justify meddling in the political and social affairs of countries around the world. The self-proclaimed agnostic, Soros disputes Israel's right to exist as the Jewish State but exploits the religion he was born into as a tactic to shield him from criticism. For the past four decades, Soros has been using his multibillion-dollar, political-philanthropic global network to impose his Weltanschauung on the world. By 1993, Soros was heralded as The Man Who Broke the Bank of England. He used the praises and publicity to create a network of powerful foundations dedicated to his overriding ambition and objective to reshape the world's only constitutional democratic republic, the United States of America. By 2023 the nation's political and social landscape has changed beyond recognition. The financial speculator's enormous sums of money oiled the Democrat Party's machine that advanced his agenda that turned the American dream into a nightmare. How did he do that?

Today I'm speaking to David Satter, journalist, and historian with unique insights into how the deformation and repression of the past, is having terrible consequences for present day Russia. David has written extensively about Russia and the Soviet Union, especially the decline and fall of the USSR and rise of post-Soviet Russia. David Satter became the first American journalist to be expelled from Russia since the Cold War in December 2013. This was perhaps not a surprising move, given that his books have covered topics such as the FSB's role in the apartment bombings that brought Putin to power. From 1976 to 1982 David was the Moscow correspondent of the Financial Times, and then became a special correspondent on Soviet affairs for The Wall Street Journal. He is currently a senior fellow at the Hudson Institute and a fellow of the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies. ---------- BOOKS He is author of several books that are essential reading to help understand the origins of the current crisis, including the brilliantly named books: - It Was a Long Time Ago, and It Never Happened Anyway - Darkness at Dawn: The Rise of the Russian Criminal State - The Less You Know, The Better You Sleep ---------- LINKS https://davidsatter.com/ https://twitter.com/davidsatter?lang=en https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Satter https://www.hudson.org/experts/362-david-satter https://www.fpri.org/contributor/david-satter/ https://www.foreignaffairs.com/authors/david-satter ---------- SUPPORT THE CHANNEL: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/siliconcurtain https://www.patreon.com/siliconcurtain ----------

Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the chief. He is the Lord my Redeemer, the Christ my Savior, the Messiah my King! He is Unchallenged in Power, Unmatched in Glory and Perfect in Love. There is no gutter, no sin, no failure too low for Jesus to rescue you. He came to seek and save the lost, to find and heal the sick and to save the world from sin. In John chapter 4, the men of the city initially believed on Him because of the woman's testimony but after hearing Jesus for themselves they said we believe because we have heard Him and He is indeed the Christ, the Savior of the World!
Simon Shepherd from Newshub was ill prepared to counter David Seymour's talking points at his last The National appearance, he did make one good point about Seymour being pro-partnership when they were doing it but overall, Seymour walked all over the Newshub host. We get frustrated as these journalists have access, but they also need to kiss the ring to keep access and therefore either choose to not engage with serious conversations, or don''t know how to. Gender is largely spoken about in a white/upper-caste way in the development sector. A lot of privileged women work in this space, however, a shift in norms has been largely absent. Unchallenged ideas of women's development, biological essentialism, and casteless poverty continue to drive programmatic thinking. Human rights of self-determination for men and women seem largely absent, and LGBTQIA+ rights are almost never spoken about. Join us in a discussion with Pallavi Agrawal, a practitioner working in the field of gender in intersections with health, education and labour. Georgia Democrat candidate for Governor Stacy Abrams claimed ultrasound technology was developed to allow men to control women's bodies. She told a panel discussion, "There is no such thing as a heartbeat at six weeks. It is a manufactured sound designed to convince people that men have the right to take control of a woman's body." Washington Post "fact checker" Glenn Kessler sprang to action... to defend Abrams. FWIW, "fetal heartbeat" is a misnomer. The ultrasound picks up electrical activity generated by an embryo. The so-called "heartbeat" sound you hear is created by the ultrasound. Not until 10 weeks can the opening and closing of cardiac valves be detected by a Doppler machine. Which prompted a response from an actual doctor: Radiologist Pradheep J. Shanker quickly pointed out that Kessler has no idea what he is talking about: "Glenn… This is scientifically and medically incorrect. 100%. Ultrasound can't detect electrical activity. Who told you otherwise?" He said the NPR article Kessler cited was wrong. “Ultrasound only detects density and motion. It cannot detect any electrical activity at all. This is a scientific fact,” Shanker declared. “It is true that the valves in the heart develop later. However, the cardiac muscles that are located in the embryological heart are contracting. They are in fact moving inward and outward. That is how you define a beat.” He conceded that a fetal heartbeat isn't the same as a fully developed adult heartbeat but added, “the cardiac tissue is contracting, which is literally what a beat is. To say otherwise is scientific misinformation, and cannot be treated otherwise.” Much like the former candidate for Senate in Missouri lost his race after making comments about "legitimate rape" not leading to pregnancy, Abrams probably had made these comments to political allies. And she probably never had pushback from those folks. Unchallenged ideas are easy to hold. "Reflection on God's Nature Leads to Universalism Next, the nature of God, as described in the Christian scriptures, leads me to believe in Universalism. I believe that God is Love. Indeed, the Christian Bible also states that explicitly (1 John 4:8). If God is Love, then surely he wants the best for every person. Many scriptures support this. 1 Timothy 2:4 says, "God … wants all people to be saved". Again, He "does not want anyone to perish, but for everyone to come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9). There are several other scriptures that plainly state that God desires salvation for everyone. I also believe God is powerful and wise enough to accomplish whatever He wants. When Christ's disciples once asked him, "Who can be saved?" part of his response was, "With God, all things are possible" (Matthew 19:26), by which we can infer: God can save anyone! If God desires that every person be saved, and He can save anyone, how can anyone not be saved? The doctrine of eternal damnation suggests that either God's love or God's power is deficient. I've often heard it objected that God can save anyone, but He will not do so because He refuses to interfere with the "free will" of any person. However, that idea is not scriptural at all. Isaiah 46:10 says, "I (God) will accomplish all that I please." In other words, if God desires something, He not only has the ability to obtain it, but He will obtain it. "God … wants all people to be saved" (1 Timothy 2:4) and God "will accomplish all that" He pleases (Isaiah 46:10). Therefore, human free will is not going to thwart God's desires. See also Daniel 4:35 and Romans 9:16-20. Also, note how the discussion in Romans 9:16-20 continues to its final conclusion at Romans 11:32, which is explicitly universalistic. In fact, Paul is in such awe at this wonderful conclusion that he lapses into ecstatic worship for the next few verses (Romans 11:33-36)." "Another example is Romans 11:32, which says, "God has bound everyone over to disobedience so that He may have mercy on them all." It is very clear from reading the whole chapter of Romans 11 that when it says "everyone" was bound over to disobedience, it is referring to every single person. So, when the verse speaks of God having mercy on them "all", it is once more referring to every person. There are many other scriptures like this. Just a few examples include John 12:32, 1 Timothy 4:10, Colossians 1:19, Lamentations 3:31, Eph. 1:9 & 10, 1 Cor. 15:28, and Rev. 5:13. Importantly, the Christian scriptures define "eternal life" not as an endless duration of life but as a certain quality of life. That is, eternal life is defined as the quality of life that a person has when a person is living in communion with That which is Eternal. This is how Jesus is quoted as defining it: "Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent" (John 17:3). Similarly, He says, "You pore over the Scriptures because you presume that by them you possess eternal life. These are the very words that testify about Me, yet you refuse to come to Me to have life" (John 5:39 - 40). I'll return to this line of thought later in this article." --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/antonio-myers4/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/antonio-myers4/support

The truth hurts, and its wounded often lash out. When the divine light of truth confronts, all masks and costumes fashioned to conceal it fall away. And in that moment, confronted with the reality of our naked being, we face tough choices: run, fight, or embrace. Those who run search for a place where they may reacquire the familiar cloaking devices. Those who fight rush the source of the light of truth and attack, hoping that darkness may once again fall. And those who embrace the truth are transformed and experience the divine. Truth ignites hatred in those entrenched in ego-centered living, because it calls their entire being into question. Truth is a threat to the ego's way of life, and so the mightiest personal military forces available must be sent out to "protect." A life founded on the ego's principles resorts to hatred instead of love, lies instead of truth, and insults instead of encouragement. Today we will face the reality that those of us who speak truth, live rightly, and align ourselves with the divine will inevitably be the victims of enraged, wounded egos. And in that reality can find happiness, because it is an indicator that we are living in the kingdom of heaven. Conversely, though, if we find ourselves unnoticed. Unchallenged. Unopposed. Unaffected by the egos of the world, then it is a haunting sign that our truth is hidden or corrupt. Our living is weak or off base. And our Jesus is an idol constructed in our own image and not the living, breathing God of the Universe. So let's see where we stand. Hello, I am Joel Ingram (https://www.linkedin.com/in/joel-ingram-230002138/) and this is Crisis to Crushin’ It Podcast. Let's dive into this week's talk and help to: 1. Increase perspective 2. Expand Perception 3. Allow you to change your reality. This week on the show I have Vimari Roman, who helps professionals get out of paralysis analysis, gain confidence, and take massive action to find the career that moves them. After 20 years of a successful career, Vimari found herself bored, frustrated, and discouraged. She realized that she had outgrown her career and was unmotivated to re-enter the job market. She feared the transition from doing work that supported her for so long, to doing work that followed her purpose and passion. Thankfully, her self-doubt did not last very long. In 2013, she earned her Certificate in Meeting Management (CMM) and started her first company, Be Productive Meetings & Events. She was blessed with a great start, but something was still missing…after attending Tony Robbins’ “Unleash the Power Within” and hiring a Coach, she discovered that her true passion has always been mentoring and strategizing the success of others. In 2014, she received her Global Certificate in Leadership Coaching. She founded Be Productive Coaching and since then has been serving clients from all over the world working virtually. With over twenty years of experience in leadership, Vimari has successfully mentored and coached 100's of high-performing professionals in various industries assisting their transition into exciting and fulfilling jobs where they earn their worth! https://slatestarcodex.com/2020/05/28/creationism-unchallenged/ How much should responsible news organizations report on stupid things? If they don’t report at all, the stupid things go unchallenged. But if they report too much, then they signal-boost the stupid thing and give it free publicity (eg Donald Trump). Also, people who mistrust the media might reflexively support the stupid thing just because the media hates it (eg Donald Trump). Also, the more time you waste covering stupid things, the less time you have for real news (eg Donald Trump). I recently read Causes And Consequences Of Mainstream Media Dissemination Of Fake News: Literature Review And Synthesis, which argues that the news might be covering too many stupid things right now. The authors note that “only 2.6% of visits to current affairs articles were to fake news websites” (though other sources suggest more) and that the mainstream press bears some responsibility for spreading inaccuracies beyond this small demographic. But they also understandably worry that maybe if the mainstream press wasn’t so aggressive in covering and debunking fake news, then fake news would go uncorrected.

As artists, we all want to grow and improve our own work, and we are often surrounded by the advice and opinions of other people. While some advice is helpful, it can sometimes undermine our unique, personal voice. It can be hard to sort the good advice from the bad. It is also important to realize that our own accepted opinions may need to be challenged in order for our work to advance. Unfortunately, we may hear more bad advice than good. A mentor of Ross's once told him “if you follow the advice of 90% of the people you meet, you will end up where 90% of people end up”. As teachers, awareness of these rules and dictates that we have accepted as fact is especially important. Unchallenged assumptions can be passed from one artist to the next very easily. These beliefs become inner voices that continue to influence an artist long after the words are spoken, and can hinder an individual's critical thinking and ideas. For example, almost all of us were told at some point that it wasn't possible to earn a living as an artist. Those of us who attended art school often encountered instructors who gave completely opposite though well-meaning advice, and part of our learning process as students is developing a sense of what advice to follow. In art school, one teacher told Rebecca that “what is personal is Universal” and later, another found her work too personal and advised that “nobody wants to read your diary." Integrating these two ideas was eventually meaningful for her, so what seems opposing advice may also be different angles on the same idea. Even purely technical advice can be examined in light of its usefulness and truth. For example, many painters are told to “never use black paint straight from the tube”. Rebecca has 35 years of professional experience in breaking this rule. Oddly, even positive, or encouraging advice can be detrimental. You may find an instructor pushing you in a direction in which you are not particularly drawn. While exploring directions in your work other than your natural tendency can be helpful, you should always stay true to who you are. Becoming overly influenced by any one individual will make it difficult to discover your own personal voice. So what does good advice sound like? Good advice tends to open doors, make you think, and produce insights. It may be strict or formulaic, such as rules about safety or best practices, but if so it should be supported with reason and established principles, not simply opinion. The more open ended and inclusive advice usually deals with individual voice and direction. Always consider the source, and your own biases when giving advice to others. As you both receive and give advice, try to distinguish fact from opinion. Use critical thinking and challenge assumptions that seem arbitrary and unfounded. Don't forget to be open to what is rational, and founded in principle. There is always a possibility that your existing opinions may not be correct. Since President Trump was acquitted by the Senate in his impeachment trial, there has been a lot of action out of the White House. From firing people in his administration who testified against him in the House Inquiry to compromising the Justice Department’s independence, Trump's actions seem to paint a picture of a president who feels emboldened by the resolution of his months-long impeachment battle. So does this post-acquittal moment reflect a president more emboldened than before? White House reporter Ashley Parker offers insight into President Trump’s perception of power and what we can expect to see from him in an election year.Related episodesA president acquitted. With the Maharashtra state assembly elections around the corner, we're dedicating this episode of 3 Things to analysing the two factions at war, the incumbent BJP-Shiv Sena alliance, which is confident about returning to power despite in-fighting, and the NCP- Congress alliance, an opposition in disarray. Special Correspondent Pradeep Kaushal and Liz Mathew, who covers the BJP for the Indian Express bureau, discuss the fraught alliance between the BJP and Shiv Sena, if they are worried about an anti-incumbency sentiment creeping in, and the significance of Aaditya Thackeray's announcement to contest polls. Next, Sandeep Ashar, who covers Maharashtra politics for the Indian Express' Mumbai bureau, details why the opposition is in such a disarray, whether the timing of the state elections will affect the results, and whether the ED case on Sharad Pawar will hurt or help the Opposition's chances. Last, how the AAP is making its debut in the Maharashtra state elections.
Unchallenged for so long, the primacy and legitimacy of the American system of checks and balances came to be accepted as political bedrock, certain to survive even the most severe earthquakes. But the daily headlines show the guardrails of American democracy are under assault and, many analysts now warn, the entire American experiment is in danger of collapse - a majority of Republicans, polls have found, favor postponing the 2020 election if President Trump says it's the sole way to ensure that only eligible voters are allowed to cast ballots. "History does not repeat, but it does instruct," notes the ominous first line of "On Tyranny," one of the hottest historical books of recent years. "The European history of the twentieth century shows us that societies can break, democracies can fall, ethics can collapse, and ordinary men can find themselves standing over death pits with guns in their hands." The book's author, the noted Yale Historian Timothy Snyder, will discuss the state of the country's constitutional health at the September 15 Conversations On the Green with two celebrated observers of the American political scene, The Washington Post's illustrious columnist, Max Boot, a CNN analyst and one of the intellectual pillars of neo-conservative movement, and Malcolm Nance, MSNBC’s renowned national security specialist. A former Navy cryptologist and 20-year veteran, Nance is an author and media commentator on foreign policy, counter-terrorism, intelligence, and insurgency. Widely credited with convincing the Pentagon to renounce waterboarding, his most recent book, published last year, was “The Plot to Destroy Democracy: How Putin and His Spies Are Undermining America and Dismantling the West.” He also is the founder and executive director of the Hudson, NY-based think tank Terror Asymmetrics Project on Strategy, Tactics and Racial Ideologies, TAPSTRI. A finalist for this year’s Pulitzer Prize in biography, Max Boot is a historian, best-selling author, foreign-policy analyst and a respected authority on armed conflict. A Moscow native and senior foreign policy advisor to the late Senator John McCain, Boot’s latest work of history, "The Road Not Taken: Edward Lansdale and the American Tragedy in Vietnam" was praised as an “epic and elegant biography” by the Wall Street Journal and “judicious and absorbing” by the New York Times. He is also the author of another book released in 2018 — "The Corrosion of Conservatism: Why I Left the Right." Proficient in 11 languages, Tim Snyder’s most recent book, published last year, is “The Road to Unfreedom: Russia, Europe, America,” an unsparing history on the threat to democracy and law. A prolific essayist for leading literary publications, he is the author of a series of sprawling books about war, genocide, and the descent into dictatorship in mid-20thcentury Europe but rocketed to prominence with the publication two years ago of the pamphlet-sized “On Tyranny,” an international bestseller that is subtitled “Twenty Lessons From The Twentieth Century.” His most recent titles before “On Tyranny,” are “Black Earth: The Holocaust as History and Warning,” which was published in 2015, and “Bloodlands: Europe Between Hitler and Stalin,” published in 2010. On March 19, 2019, the Supreme Court decided Washington State Department of Licensing v. Cougar Den, Inc., a case involving the 1855 Treaty between the United States and the Yakama Nation of Indians, and whether the “right to travel” granted within the treaty preempts the state’s fuel tax on the importation of fuel. Cougar Den, Inc. is a wholesale fuel importer that is owned by a member of the Yakama Nation. Cougar Den imports fuel from Oregon via Washington public highways to the Yakama Reservation where it is sold to Yakama-owned gas stations within the reservation. In 2013, the Washington State Department of Licensing, because Cougar Den imports the gas by using Washington public highways, assessed the importer $3.6 million in taxes, penalties, and licensing fees. Cougar Den appealed to the Washington Superior Court, claiming that the 1855 Treaty between the United States and the Yakama Nation preempts this tax, since it reserves, among other things, the “right, in common with citizens of the United States, to travel upon all public highways.” The Washington Superior Court held that the tax was preempted by the Treaty, and the Washington Supreme Court affirmed that judgment on appeal. Washington then petitioned the U.S. Supreme Court for certiorari, arguing that the 1855 treaty does not forbid the State from imposing a state-wide tax on all fuel importers who transport fuel via ground transportation, including those members of the Yakama Nation. The Supreme Court granted certiorari to consider whether the 1855 treaty preempts this importation tax on members of the Yakama Nation. By a vote of 5-4, the Supreme Court affirmed the judgment of the Supreme Court of Washington, but without a majority opinion. Justice Breyer, joined by Justices Sotomayor and Kagan, concluded for a plurality that “the ‘right to travel’ provision of the 1855 Treaty between the United States and the Yakama Nation of Indians pre-empts the state’s fuel tax as applied to Cougar Den’s importation of fuel by public highway for sale within the reservation.” Justices Gorsuch and Ginsburg filed an opinion concurring in the judgment--thereby providing the necessary additional votes to affirm the lower court--but on a different rationale. Unchallenged factual findings as to the Yakamas’ understanding of the 1855 treaty terms, they reasoned, indicate that the treaty “does not permit encumbrances on the ability of tribal members to bring their goods to and from market.” Chief Justice Roberts dissented, joined by Justices Thomas, Alito, and Kavanaugh. Justice Kavanaugh also filed a dissenting opinion, which was joined by Justice Thomas. To discuss the case, we have Tom Gede, Principal at Morgan Lewis.

Marvelous Monday: start to get unstuck by identifying the things that have you busy, bored, and unchallenged
Unchallenged mindsets can be very harmful. We often hear the phrase, “higher levels, higher devils.” But is this true? Is the enemy really “holding off” from attacking you until you reach a higher level of faith, confidence and spiritual authority? In this encouraging and also challenging message, David Olinger talks about the ways that wrong believing often causes to “work” for things that God has given us freely. Likewise, unchallenged mindsets can also prevent us from taking responsibility in our lives for things that God has given us to nurture and grow through hard work and discipline.
Your view of situations and your personal perceptions and beliefs mean everything when it comes to your mindset and personal resilience. If your negative beliefs are left unchallenged, they will soon become your reality which could ultimately drive you out of this job you love. Listen to today's episode to learn practical steps on how you can challenge any negative perceptions you have in order to continue being the best teacher you can be.
