This week, Joe, Matt, and special guest Liz Harper read the newly released Diablo novel The Lost Horadrim by Matthew Kirby, and are here to share their thoughts. This is where I'd make a joke about that new book smell, but it's Diablo so I don't want to think about smelling anything. In terms of time, the book is set between the events of Diablo 3 and Diablo 4, though this spans several decades worth of time. The three core characters in the novel are familiar to Diablo fans: Tyrael, Lorath, and Donan. And oh, the hijinks these three wacky guys get up to on the way to Skovos!The book serves to bridge the gaps, and flesh out characters we already know from Diablo while set against the setting for the next Diablo 4 expansion, Lord of Hatred. It explores how some of these characters might know each other and the places they're about to visit while on the hunt for Mephisto. Plus, any extra time with Tyrael is always a fun little romp. Satz mit x, das war wohl nix Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 sorgt bei der Community und Kritikern für viel Frust, besonders was die Kampagne angeht. Die Story wirkt chaotisch, die Level sind zu groß und darauf ausgelegt, mit mehreren Spielern gespielt zu werden – als Einzelspieler wird man allein gelassen und kämpft sich durch Horden von sogenannter Bullet-Sponge-Gegner, was das Erlebnis anstrengend und wenig spaßig macht. Die abgedrehte Geschichte mit Zombie-Pflanzen und anderen absurden Monstern wirkt zusammengewürfelt und wenig stimmig. Hinzu kommen technische Ärgernisse wie Online-Zwang und fehlende Speicherpunkte, die das Gesamtbild weiter trüben. Für Solospieler ist die Kampagne daher eher eine Qual als ein Highlight und zieht viel Kritik auf sich. Im Multiplayer-Modus enttäuscht Black Ops 7 ebenfalls viele Fans, denn im Vergleich zu Teil 6 wird der neue Ansatz als Rückschritt empfunden. Der neue Modus „Skirmish“ gilt als langweilig, zu langsam und unspektakulär, während offene Gebiete und zu viele generische Aufgaben keinen echten Mehrwert bringen. Neue Fortschritts- und Skin-Systeme werden als weniger kreativ und überzeugend bewertet. Insgesamt fehlt es dem Multiplayer an Innovation und Tempo, das Black Ops 6 noch auszeichnete. Matze ist absolut nicht begeistert, eher genervt. Und wieder Elektroschrott Wir haben es schon mehrfach bemängelt. Wenn Hersteller den Stecker ziehen, werden kleine Helferlein schnell zu Elektroschrott. Diesmal trifft es vermutlich ein paar ältere Modelle der Nest Thermostate von Google. Wir werden sehen, bei Tado z.B. weiß Peppi aus eigener Erfahrung, dass das nicht so einfach ist… Chabos wissen wer der Babo ist Die Netflix-Dokumentation „Babo – Die Haftbefehl-Story“ zeigt auf schonungslos ehrliche Weise das Leben und die Karriere des deutschen Rapper Haftbefehl (Aykut Anhan). Sie begleitet den Künstler vom Aufstieg in der Deutschrap-Szene bis zu seinem tiefen persönlichen Absturz, geprägt von jahrelanger Kokainsucht und familiären Herausforderungen. Die Doku enthält persönliche Interviews, Archivmaterial und nachgestellte Szenen, die den Menschen hinter der Rap-Ikone sehr authentisch und intensiv darstellen. Besonders emotional ist die Darstellung seines Zusammenbruchs und der anschließenden Therapie, die von seinem Bruder initiiert wurde. Die Produktion legt großen Wert auf Wahrhaftigkeit und zeigt nicht nur den Ruhm, sondern auch die dunklen Seiten des Lebens eines erfolgreichen Künstlers. As a studio musician, He has recorded for recent films such as Frozen 2, Charlie's Angels, and Bad Boys 3. Dave's inspirations include video games, sci fi fandoms, mythology, the difficult job of parenting, and the recent pandemic. Despite the sweeping and sometimes serious nature of this series, Dave's favorite aspect of writing it was working humor into the stories.

Producer Jon Glickman noticed the star quality in Jackie Chan early on, but his decision to cast him as a co-lead in RUSH HOUR with rising comedian Chris Tucker was a huge risk. The two had amazing chemistry, but also a very hard time understanding each other, a hilarious reality that inspired the famous line "do you understand any of the words coming out of my mouth?" The comedy Bromates is about buddies Sid (Josh Brener) and Jonesie (Lil Rel Howry) who are both going through a breakup, so the two move in together. During a night out at a bar with a group of friends, nerdy Sid meets a woman from out of town. The guys convince Sid to go after her, and head out on a road trip to Texas together, encountering crazy situations and adventure along the way. Court and writing partner Chris Kemper wanted to do a story about guys moving in together and helping each other through a breakup. The film was independently made at first, and Court says it was a hard sell to make a movie about guys behaving like jackasses, since these days, so many comedies just go straight to streaming. Luckily, musician and entrepreneur Snoop Dogg came on board as an executive producer with his new production company, Snoopadelic Films Inc. He plays himself in a few scenes of the film, and though Snoop doesn't prefer to act, he was willing to do it for Bromates. Court and the production team pursued several different comedians who could bring plenty of laughs and gags to the movie. They found comedic actors who could do a ton of improv. A good portion of the movie is ad-libbed, and Court found it easy to work with funny people who make the script stronger. Court would shoot the scene once for coverage, and then they'd start playing around. As a director, Court values time management, so he knew it was important to know when to say when, and to limit the amount of takes for each scene. They only had a five week shoot, and he found it was important to hit the main story points so that the plot stayed cohesive than just keep shooting endless jokes. Court is the found and CEO of the ad agency, Positivity, with screenwriting as just a side gig. His first script was for a movie called A Lobster Tale, which he sold and then was finally made 10 years later. Court also wrote the first draft of the movie Old School, based on his experience of being in a fraternity. He pitched the story to director Todd Phillips, sold the idea and received “story by” credit for the film.
