In the conventional, mainstream world of so-called biohacking, lies and gaslighting are second nature. People with wrecked bodies trying to fix serious issues with BAND-AIDs. People suffering side effects in silence as a badge of honor. The most successful and followed influencers telling people lies and selling them useless solutions. It truly is a crisis of epic proportions and it's bound to get worse. What is the truth about mainstream biohacking that highly visible individuals are too cowardly to admit? Is there a better way? In this episode, holistic health coach Dave Lee returns for an incredible conversation about all the BS being peddled in most optimization circles. When you block or inhibit a natural biological pathway - a God-given pathway with a drug, it's robbing Peter to pay Paul. It's a karmic effect, at some point you're going to pay that debt. -Jay Campbell Things We Learned - The sentience crisis In today's world, everything is a buzzword, byline or memes. Is it specifically designed to dumb people down? - The awful lie being peddled to the masses Why do they keep pushing testosterone boosters when we know they don't do anything? - Don't compromise long term life trajectory for short-term comfort Are many of the conventional biohacking methods leading people into early, avoidable graves? - Drop 5% body fat - that's all you need to solve your problems Most people associate weight loss with physical transformation, but is it also the key to spiritual elevation? Guest Bio Dave Lee is a Holistic Health Coach specializing in men's hormone replacement therapy. About Ashley: My love of sports and science led me to St Francis Xavier University where I completed a BSc in Human Kinetics. This led to a full time gig as a personal trainer and then a few years as a Kinesiologist at a multidisciplinary Chiropractic Clinic. Along the way I discovered the work of Paul Chek and his world renowned CHEK Institute. This is where my knowledge of all things HOLISTIC health and fitness began. Fast forward a few years and I'm now a licensed level 2 CHEK Practitioner and Holistic Lifestyle Coach! My studies with the CHEK Institute through their Academy continues, as does my research and learning into other topics such as h3o2 water, light, sound, and all things "quantum health." I'm a forever student and passionate teacher. A health detective and dot connector. I work one on one with people where I really listen to your story and gather as many pieces to your puzzle as I can to help you see the big picture and coach you on how to put it all together. Okay, so we each have these two "sacred polarities" within us. But what do masculinity and femininity really mean in a day-to-day context? How do we harmonize, or, more importantly in the modern day, identify with these archetypal energies? Welcome back to the Sacred Polarities Podcast Part II, in which our amazing 6 guests (minus Josh this time!) get personal about the role of the sacred Masculine and Feminine in their lives. How does the modern perspective on masculinity and femininity challenge them, and how does it support their identities, values and commitments? Leigh was obsessed with sports as a child (and still is) and has always been active. At age 14, he began weight training in his school's gym, but started taking it seriously at 23. At the age of 27, Leigh completed his first course with the American College of Sports Medicine and his career took off from there! Since then, he's been passionate about learning and turning that knowledge into wisdom through the experience of what is now over 26 years working with clients. Leigh has always sought the ‘best of the best' to learn from and is as passionate about his work and gaining knowledge now as he was in 1996. He's studied many different disciplines, including corrective exercise, strength and conditioning, tennis conditioning, nutrition, functional diagnostic nutrition, energy medicine, Bio Geometry, and manual therapy, to name a few. This has given Leigh the ability to provide a truly holistic approach to helping clients over the years, which they have found very effective, often after other approaches hadn't helped them. Leigh has formally studied with some of the world's greatest minds such as Paul Chek, Bill Wolcott, Dr John Veltheim, Dr Michael Leahy, Dr Dietrich Klinghardt and Dr Ibrahim Karim. Nowadays, most of Leigh's work includes helping clients overcome injuries, gut conditions, and skin conditions. Leigh has also been a member of the Faculty of the world-renowned CHEK Institute since 2010 teaching and presenting in Europe, USA and Australia. He's also published four books and has a number of online professional continuing education programs. I am BEYOND excited to share this discussion with you with the hopes that it sparks introspection, inspiration and perhaps a deeper curiosity and reverence for the archetypal patterns that both challenge and support our collective human development. When it comes to the realm of harm reduction within the psychedelic space, many of us are aware of concepts such as minimum effective dosing, however, many are unaware that our lifestyle habits, such as diet, exercise, water intake & sleep also play a big role in this realm. One area that I have been particularly interested in recently with regards to this idea is the notion that many of these medicines can deplete our mineral levels & without a method to reinstate these minerals in our body, we can end up potentially doing more harm than good within our ceremonies as a whole. Stopping back by the show today to dive into this topic & I imagine many others on our epic heart flow journey is a gentleman who is one of, if not the most knowledgeable individual I have had the pleasure of meeting when it comes to physical, emotional, mental & spiritual holistic health. He is a holistic health practitioner, a 5 MEO DMT facilitator, a medical qi gong doctor & a mineral alchemist & along with all of these amazing accolades, he is also a heart centered, joyous person who is an absolute blast to chat with, which are all the reasons why I continue having him back on the show for all of you to benefit from his knowledge & expertise in these fields. Show Notes:(3:00) Why do minerals matter?(8:19) This is ACTUAL healthcare.(13:12) How to test your mineral levels, and which tests to get.(24:42) How minerals are affected by plant medicines.(49:22) Mineral Therapy.(58:35) One final question…About Jason Gandzjuk Jason is a certified Holistic Health Practitioner, specializing in corrective, high-performance exercise kinesiology. Jason takes an integrative approach to health – focused on restoring balance to the body, through lifestyle, mindset, and spiritual direction. He is passionate about helping clients uncover the root cause of their health issues, supporting them as they transform their dreams into reality and create an empowered life they love. Traveling the world as a competitive motocross racer and professional cyclist for over 14 years, Jason understands first-hand the importance of properly conditioning and caring for the body in order to achieve peak performance. During his years as a professional athlete, he struggled with chronic life-threatening injuries and developed severe digestive and cognitive issues that were misdiagnosed by Western medicine. This forced Jason to take his health into his own hands. Through extensive research and working closely with Paul Chek, Jason was able to heal his body holistically, through the very same methods and principles that he now teaches his clients. Jason's own health journey inspired him to pursue continuing education at CHEK Institute, receiving certifications as a CHEK Practitioner and Holistic Lifestyle Coach.Jason soon discovered the power of plant medicine therapy. Having participated in a great number of ceremonies for himself and studied extensively with several highly skilled medicine facilitators, his passion for helping others grew, and he shifted his holistic wellness practice to be centered around integrative plant medicine therapy where he integrates medical qigong energy work with plant medicine. He was able to experience the amazing visions, profound and unmatched peace, connection to self, and healing of deep-rooted trauma. The impact was profound and deep; it ignited a passion and a desire to provide others with this transformative experience. His connection to his purpose became apparent, and he now helps others to be able to experience the same in a safe and guided space. While he still offers his holistic wellness services, his main focus is now on providing integrative plant medicine therapy
Today's show is with Nathan Riley, MD, FACOG. He's a holisitc OBGYN as well as a Chek Institute professional. That's right, a couple of dudes sat down to talk about birth. As someone who is obsessed with human development this interview was a real treat. What could be more pivotal to your development than what happens before, during, and after a pregnancy. For the ladies out there, I hope you find the conversation insightful. For the men, I know this will be insightful. We play a major role in the whole experience… and we'll never know what it's like to give birth. I'll never give birth to another human which is a bummer, but my role for my future children is no small feat.

Within the vast realm of health, let alone the vast realm of fitness, there are SO many different modalities one can employ to ensure they are staying healthy, fit & mobile as they age. A common misnomer that I see society moving out of in the present day in a big way is the misnomer that the body “breaks down” as we age. In my experience, I have found that the famous saying “move it or lose it” is one of the best philosophies to embody if we wish to be active & mobile throughout the course of our lives & allow our lives to be ones which are thriving in nature, rather than ones in which we merely survive. This being said, with more information than ever currently available to us, what are some of the best ways to stay active, mobile & in that state of thriving? In my personal fitness & health journey, one of my best kept secrets is that of the company Stick Mobility, which focuses on the trifecta of strength, mobility & coordination all in one system & todays guest on the show is not only a stick mobility coach, a CHEK trained practitioner & a chiropractic assistant, but he is also someone who has gone through his fair share of challenges within these realms in order to come out the other side with invaluable information for each person listening on how easy it can be to supercharge your health, fitness & mobility in order to live the version of your life that is the greatest & grandest in nature. This week, on Episode 112 of The Highly Optimized Podcast, we talk with personal trainer, stick mobility coach, CHEK Practitioner, and Chiropractic Therapy Assistant Cameron Angus about: (9:49) The Way of the Superior Man & not fitting into the corporate lifestyle.(20:05) Stick Mobility.(28:11) Learning new skills to fuel your passions.(37:52) Gym Mentality.(57:02) Knowing your “Why”.(1:07:22) Outro & One last question!Connect with Cameron on IG: @camangus68Thank you to our podcast sponsors!Freedom Builderz - https://www.freedombuilderz.com/Building profitable online programs FOR coaches using Kajabi so they can smoothly hit 10k months!https://www.highlyoptimized.me This episode was produced by Mazel Tov Media in Quincy, Massachusetts.https://www.mazeltm.com/highlyoptimized

Nicole Devaney is a shining example of a woman who is truly living in her Goddess nature. She is a faculty instructor at the world-renowned CHEK Institute and considers herself to be a “retired healer and self-employed way-show-er,” as she believes we all intuitively crave to be our most vibrant and healthy selves. In this empowering episode you may feel as though you are eavesdropping on Nicole & I chatting like two old friends about our lives, dreams and beliefs about who we are as women in this modern culture. I resonate with her as a dancer, entrepreneur and fellow Warrior-Empress living from the wisdom of her soul. Nicole shares the story of her adventurous career in exotic dance and how breaking her spine led her to healing, love and purpose through the holistic health of the CHEK Institute. We discuss the term “sacred selfishness,” and Nicole explains why it is absolutely okay—and even necessary— to defy the culturally-approved “martyr” identity and care for ourselves with gifts, acceptance (and sometimes chocolate) in a way that may be perceived as selfish. We also take a deep dive into the subject of feminine sexuality and how we can awaken our sacred power as women: from awakening the power in our hips through dance to addressing the myths of peri-menopause and embracing our ever-changing bodies. What would the world be like if we celebrated and acknowledged women's major life transitions between the phases of Maiden, Mother, Empress-Warrior and Wise Woman-Crone? Lastly, I ask Nicole to share some tips on MANifesting your dream partner, and she gives us the inside-scoop on the spiritual growth she experienced through her past and present romantic relationships. At the World Congress of Back Pain, it was said that nine in 10 people will have back pain at some point in their life. Of course that will occur in varying degrees. What I have seen a lot in my work, working with injuries as a CHEK practitioner, is that many people who have back injuries are given such a glass ceiling with their diagnosis and treatment options. So if nine in 10 of us are going to experience back pain, what can we do about it? For those who have it severely, what hope do we have? Why is there such a high incidence of back pain? And just what is safe as you know so many people are told never to deadlift again. Today, my guest is Donal Carr, Chek Faculty and CHEK Practitioner and wait for it, my first ever mentor in the fitness industry. You see, almost 20 years ago, Donal Carr interviewed me to be accepted as a Personal Trainer and he was in fact the reason that I became a CHEK practitioner. I have watched Donal rehabilitate some of the most complicated injuries over the years and it is my pleasure to have him here today on the show to discuss the Myths of Back Pain. In the episode we discuss: Different types of back injuries Treatment options Breath Scar Tissue Dietary links to back pain Stress and emotional links to back pain The gabp in rehabilitation When are you really fully rehabilitated? Infant Development Program Design for Back Pain Deadlifts and danger for disc injuries References: Hodges and Hyde Diane Lee Gary Gray Shirley Sahrmann Stuart McGill Paul Chek You can find Donal and his wife and business partner Cathy Carr at www.placeofchi.com and on instagram as @donalcarr and @placeofchi. Nikki Costello created MyWholeBody Health and Fitness Coaching as a result of her own personal quest to be healthy and pain free again. After 20 years of competitive gymnastics, dance, running and cheerleading at the national level, she was plagued with severe pain and told she needed to stop doing most of what she loved. Even yoga hurt. She was prescribed toxic pain medications and told she would need to invest 1,000's of dollars into various therapies in order to maybe find something resembling normal. The problem was that she was only 26. Instinctively, she knew there was another way. Thus the exploration began.Since then she's spent 8 years working in a physical therapy clinic with highly sought after Dr. Mark Barnes, fascia and spine expert. She has spent the last 3 years studying with the world renowned Dr. Guy Voyer, osteopath and creator of the ELDOA Method which is currently used by professional athletes like Tiger Woods and Stephen Curry for their own health and wellness. She is a Holistic Lifestyle Coach through the CHEK institute, a trained Pilates Instructor through STOTT Pilates and a NESTA Certified Personal Trainer. She has also interned extensively with chiropractors, naturopaths and acupuncturists.Access show notes here:https://www.pureenergypdx.com/integrate-yourself-podcast/back-pain-relief-eldoaConnect With Nikki here:Website: https://www.dragonfly-health.com/wellness-club-programs/move-freelyFour Sigmatic Order your Four Sigmatic medicinal mushrooms here and get 10% off with my code: INTEGRATEYOURSELFBuzzsprout - Let's get your podcast launched! Be Here Farm + Nature is a Demeter Certified Biodynamic farm located at 2200' elevation on the peak of Spring Mountain, Sonoma, CA, just outside the town of Saint Helena. Jared shares how his journey has taken him from Wall Street to farming and occasionally making his own cheese. He discusses how observing his older brother drop 100 lbs with a Chek Practitioner not only got Jared curious, but changed the trajectory of his life. We talk about work, Following your passion, being a beginner, working with your spouse, and how sometimes working "in " is more important depending on what's happening in your life than working "out". Chris Rodman: How To Be Grateful With What You Have In Life Meet Chris, serving from a place of integrity, caring curiosity, understanding, and empathetic intuition. He creates a container of safety, confidentiality, and empowerment; present and welcoming to all wherever you are at. Observing reality as it is, within the framework of the body, moment to moment, is the essence of vipassana; a meditation practice that one learns in a 10 day silent course. Since 2008 Chris has sat a dozen of these courses which have developed in him a deep awareness and equanimity about suffering and its causes. As an initiated Sufi and leader in the Dances of Universal Peace, Chris is able to relate with the wisdom of all the great traditions. In 2010 Chris experienced his first plant medicine ceremony; this set in motion a motorcycle journey across South America and an ongoing relationship, healing, and education with the wisdom of the Plant Teachers. Visiting the Amazon is now a regular part of life that informs him ever more deeply about the interconnectivity of all things. It is with great respect, humility, and gratitude that Chris continues his work with entheogens. He is a certified addictions recovery and psycho-spiritual integration coach with Being True To You. With a B.Sc. in Kinesiology and trained as a CHEK Practitioner, Chris is well connected in the holistic elements of human health and fitness Chris is a husband and father who lives in the mountains of British Columbia. He has retired from a long career crew leading in wildfire suppression, to follow and feed the fire in his heart about serving those who feel called to growth and transformation; pointing to the shaman in each one of us. Most people assume professional athletes are living in a completely different world compared to their counterparts in the business sector.Longtime Paul Chek disciple, premier NHL strength and conditioning coach and lifelong student, Matt Nichol, shows you wrong that assumption can be in his first Living 4D conversation.Show NotesMatt trains a lot of National Hockey League players but doesn’t know how to skate. (14:12)Chronic, repeated injuries from his work in the gym — not on the football field — led Matt to a CHEK Practitioner. (15:24)“I didn’t know you could be a personal trainer for athletes in Canada. I thought that was for Hollywood celebrities or famous people.” (18:40)Deadlifting almost 600 pounds may be impressive, but being unable to do two proper chin-ups is not… (22:42)You don’t have to choose between being stronger or healthier. Episode 71: A native of Atlanta, Andrew Johnston has been a personal trainer for over two decades. He got into the business for self-improvement, arming himself with knowledge to combat the performance enhancing drugs that inundate the sport of professional cycling. This strategy worked, and in 1992 he was invited to be a resident athlete at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs.Upon graduation from Eckerd College in 1994, he turned pro and took his ambitions to Europe to race for the Belgian Haverbeke GB team. After the 1996 Olympic Trials, he moved to Spain to race for the Palafrugell and Homs squads until 1998. Andrew devoted his full attention to personal training in 1999 after a crash ended his cycling career just as he was entering his prime. But his competitive drive was satisfied for only a year before discovering his interest in triathlon. In his first full season of triathlon competition, he was the 2001 Olympic Distance Champion of Georgia and 5th overall at the National Long Course Triathlon Championships, earning All-American status as well as a slot on the U.S. World Triathlon team.Andrew founded Triumph Training in 2000, using his athletic experience and insatiable appetite for knowledge to build a successful training business. Not content with having obtained his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist degree, arguably the most respected credential in the fitness industry, Andrew became the first Corrective Holistic Exercise Kinesiologist in the state of Georgia in 2001.His passion for the body and its limitless potential has grown only stronger since Men's Journal named him one of the Best Trainers in the U.S. in 2005 and again in 2006. Perfecting what he preaches to his clientele as well as various audiences throughout the Southeast, in 2006 Andrew became the first Leukemia Survivor to qualify for and finish the Hawaii Ironman World Championships. The award-winning documentary Living Is Winning captures the events leading up to that race and takes the audience deep into the life of an aspiring triathlete. After several years of "retirement" from competition to open up his private training studio in Atlanta and to author his first of two published books, Andrew stormed back onto the triathlon scene in 2012 to qualify for the 70.3 World Championships followed three weeks later with the Overall Win at the Great Floridian--the first Leukemia Survivor to ever be crowned the champion of an Iron Distance Triathlon. He then got permission from his wife and son to tackle the 3000 mile Race Across America, raising over $250,000 dollars for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Now he takes his knowledge as a CHEK Practitioner and one of the select few ELDOA Trainers in the world to guide people in their pursuit of wellness, ultimately helping them to realize that the only limitations they truly have are the ones they set for themselves.CONNECT WITH ANDREW:https://triumphtraining.com/Show Notes:https://www.pureenergypdx.com/integrate-yourself-podcast/eldoa-methodSupport the show (https://www.patreon.com/integrateyourself)

This week on Health Hustle TV / Radio, it is my pleasure to welcome Tom Leith. Aside from being my best mate, he is also a Chek Practitioner (3), gym owner, entrepreneur and holistic lifestyle coach. I love the topic that we discuss in this episode because it has had such an impact on my own life and many of my clients in the past. Q - Do you want a strong, healthy body and mind long-term? There are certain aspects of your health that you cannot ignore. The top aspect on that list is your stress levels. Why? Stress can take over in time like a plague and start to chip away at your happiness in every area of your life. As stress compounds (and it will if you don't become aware of managing it) it will inevitably send your hormones out of sync, which will affect the following negatively: Energy levels Sex drive Clarity of mind Ability to burn fat / build muscle Relationships Sleep Career Where does it come from? - EVERYWHERE; emotional, financial, stimulants, exercise, processed foods, lack of sleep, alcohol, electromagnetical, biomechanical and so on.... Today, stress overload is commonly recognised as Adrenal Fatigue or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. The bad news: You can't escape it. The good news: You can manage it. During this episode you will hear us discussing different types of stress and some methods we both use as part of our own daily routines to manage it. This is a great episode if you want a greater understanding of your own body and the effect your lifestyle may be having on your health, energy and mind. Enjoy:
