I'm absolutely thrilled about this episode because it's packed with heart, wisdom, and so many nuggets of inspiration. My guest is the one and only Jackie De Crinis, a former TV executive turned life coach, who has just released her debut book, The Overthinker's Guide to Joy. Trust me – you'll be laughing, reflecting, and taking notes all at once. Jackie spent decades in the high-stakes world of television, where she developed iconic shows like Suits, White Collar, Monk, and Mr. Robot. But as you'll hear, she didn't just curate hit series; she also navigated a deeply personal journey of listening to her intuition and creating a life of joy. Jackie shares the behind-the-scenes magic of her career, her insights on overthinking and joy, and the transformative power of asking for help. I especially loved her story about discovering tennis, which started with her assistant insisting she get a hobby and (spoiler alert!) ultimately led to her meeting her husband of 20+ years! It's a beautiful example of how small steps can lead to life-changing outcomes.  We also dive into some themes from her book, like why asking for help is so challenging for many of us (especially perfectionists and people pleasers) and how to start practicing asking for help without guilt or fear.  Tune into our conversation and hear more about: Why listening to your intuition matters How asking for help (even when it's hard!) transforms your relationships AND health How saying "no" is deeply connected to saying "yes" to yourself and your well-being The importance of gratitude in relationships The power of prioritizing the easy steps over the hard ones   RESOURCES MENTIONED IN THIS EPISODE: The Overthinker's Guide to Joy by Jackie De Crinis Episode 128: Doing What Feels Right with Jackie De Crinis The Questions for Couples Journal The Marriage Mindset Makeover Visit Jackie's Website Listen to Jackie's Podcast, The Overthinker's Guide to Joy Connect with Jackie on Instagram

In this episode, Natasha interviews Tiziano Sguerso- a Family Constellations Facilitator about this systemic therapies and the power A family constellation is a term used to describe the pattern of relationships between generations of a family. It refers to the way in which individuals in a family are connected to one another, and can be thought of as a visual representation of the family structure. One of the most powerful healing modalities with transformational effects.  This is a form of psychotherapy that addresses individuals within their family context. It views problems as a result of the relationships among family members, rather than solely as individual issues. Systemic therapy focuses on understanding and addressing the dynamics and patterns within the family constellation. The goal is to improve communication, resolve conflicts, and promote understanding between family members. This approach can be beneficial for various issues, including relational conflicts, behavioral problems in children, and mental health challenges. Systemic therapists work to help individuals understand and change unhelpful patterns within their family systems, ultimately leading to improved well-being for all involved.Listen to find out how Family Constellations has completely changed the trajectory of Tiziano's life and his mission to change the lives of millions of people across the globe. Rachel reminds us of the life Jesus led, the humble son of a carpenter from Nazareth who saw the hungry, the lame, the blind, the women. Sometimes living our ordinary lives and following Jesus may not seem glamourous (especially in contrast to social media's image of life!) but it can be exactly what God calls from us. The devil wants to take our eyes off of what we have been given There is too much at stake to let comparison get us off track At the end of the day, God does his best work with weak and little and inadequate and that's the story of all of scripture.   REMEMBER:  When we are weak, He is strong and He gets all the glory When we love others well, that kind of activity is contagious When they do something that may feel super small, we need to call attention to it and tell them how proud we are - as we start to draw attention to those things, they will start to draw attention to those things When God created Adam and Eve, He looked upon His creation and said it was good before they ever did a thing.    Connect with Somer!  Stay connected to Somer and the Love Where You Are podcast through her Facebook & Instagram! God is the most significant and He loves us unconditionally.  Thank you for being here today. I'm joined by Kat Horrocks, a Certified Mindset & Manifestation Coach and Founder of Put Yourself First, a podcast and community dedicated to empowering women worldwide to put themselves first and manifest a life even better than their vision board. Kat believes that when women prioritize themselves, everything else starts to fall into place. We unpack what it really means to put yourself first, why it's so important, and tools to start living your truth. Kat and I reflect on what life was like when we put on the ‘good girl' façade and struggle with people-pleasing tendencies. We talk about learning how to be okay prioritizing your own happiness at the cost of disappointing other people and how to stop internalizing feedback that doesn't align with your path. We've both been able to recognize that oftentimes, people who doubt our decisions are responding from a place of deep care and it's not necessarily helpful to cut them out of your life. Kat shares some non-violent communication strategies for maintaining healthy relationships and upholding your boundaries. We also get into the main mindset blocks that she sees women struggle with when it comes to taking action and moving the needle on their goals. Kat illustrates the possibilities for women who put themselves first and highlights some of the amazing transformations that she's witnessed. If you've ever wondered, "Do I need a website for my small business?" - today's show is for you. Your website is the headquarters of your business – even if you don't have a brick-and-mortar shop. It's the cog off of which everything else for your business connects and expands. It wasn't like this in years past. But now, an online presence is essential. And make no mistake about it – your own website is what you should strive for. It's great to have a https://giftbizunwrapped.com/episodes/sell-on-etsy (shop on Etsy) or https://giftbizunwrapped.com/episodes/amazon-handmade (sell through Amazon). But long term, you want your own self-controlled site for the most stable business structure. So, today we're talking in depth about websites. Including the most important first question to answer before you even go one step further. Chase Clymer is the Co-founder at Electric Eye where he and his team create Shopify-powered sales machines from strategic design, development, and marketing decisions. He's also the host of Honest eCommerce, a weekly podcast that provides online store owners with honest, actionable advice to increase their sales and grow their business. The Answer To, "Do I Need A Website For My Small Business?" The biggest eCommerce challenge is finding product/market fit. Just opening a shop does not mean you have a viable business. Find out if the market wants to buy your product. Your product must solve your ideal customer's problem or fulfill their desire. Validating your product is crucial. Until you confirm that strangers will give you money for your product you have not validated your product. You have a business when that product is selling and paying your bills. The market share you could get from selling https://giftbizunwrapped.com/episodes/rahababy (a validated product) online is massive. If your goal is to increase your sales on your home base, you need to make a reason for people to go to your website. It's easier when your product resonates with your audience. Keep your navigation simple. The only things on the topline navigation should be the things that make you money. If your site doesn't allow me to get to the product I need as fast as I want to, I'll go to another website. Performance is crucial. The faster your website is, the higher your conversion rate is. Use an off-the-shelf theme for Shopify unless you're making $1m or more. Once you pass that milestone, it will be worth the investment for a custom theme. Don't trust themes that aren't on the Shopify theme store! Listen to the full conversation for more answers to do I need a website for my small business! More Ideas To Market Your Handmade Product Business Explore https://giftbizunwrapped.com/episodes/marketing-for-small-business (other avenues for marketing). Don't have all your eggs in one basket. Utilize other marketplaces (like Etsy and Amazon) to make more sales plus drive traffic to your website. Market to your customer in a way that they want to hear from you. Sending text messages is more personal and it's also noticeable. Keep the frequency lower on SMS vs email.

When I thought about the perfect guest to bring on the show to talk about love and relationships for Valentine's Day, Christine was the first person who came to mind! In this episode, Christine shares about her path to finding her soul match and advice for women who are seeking the same. We discuss psychic knowing, energetically calling your match in, and the inner-work that needs to take place in order to find love. Tired of the antiquated dating advice and coaching that encouraged her to hold back her true self, Christine embarked on her own spiritual approach to dating. She let go of the constant pressure of society's timeline and reminders of her ‘biological clock,' and decided to dig deeper to explore what could be holding her back from meeting her match. Through a series of synchronistic events, she met her now husband, as she describes, “a man who felt like home.” In this powerful conversation, Christine shares her support for women who feel like they'll never meet their match or worry it's not happening on their terms. She talks about the decision to step into motherhood, and facing the fears that have come up around pregnancy. Sometimes running a business can feel a little bit like a guessing game. What's working? What's broken? What is most important to fix NOW? What can wait until later? Most direct sellers and network marketers don't have a formal degree in business… most likely you started your business for a love of people, not a passion for metrics. As a result, things like tracking metrics seem very overwhelming. It definitely did for me, especially when I first started Anchor Design Co.! But the truth is, you can't just rely on your gut when it comes to making business decisions. Sometimes you need the numbers to back it up or guide you when you have no idea where to start! On today's episode, I chat with Nicole Boucher, Operations and Business Manager as well as one half of Pixie Dust and Profits, a podcast that takes case studies from Disney and applies them to small business. Nicole is an expert at all things on the numbers side of business, and she joined me to talk more about where people can get started with tracking metrics. At the end of this episode, you'll walk away feeling more at peace with metrics. Once you see that numbers don't have to be scary, you'll be able to identify some of the metrics you can start tracking today so you have the data you need to make important decisions about the future of your business! ✅ By the end of this episode, you'll learn: What a metric is and how it helps you understand where your business is now and where it's moving toward How to complete the 5 Whys exercise to get a handle on your business expenses Why it's important to start tracking your numbers, even if they are zero How long you should be tracking metrics before you have enough data to influence your decisions Which metrics people often forget to track (that are more important than you think!) The two most important elements of setting realistic goals that make sense for your business Four things that every small business owner should start tracking today

This week on the Alchemized Life Podcast, we welcome spiritual guru - Kelsey J Patel, a Los Angeles based Reiki Master as well as yoga and meditation instructor, specializing in Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). After climbing the ladder in both politics and the corporate world for many years, Kelsey was on the brink of “burnout”, suffering from crippling anxiety, excruciating back pain and chronic sickness. Although she sought relief from countless doctors, she unconsciously realized that “popping pills like candy” was not the solution. Despite her skepticism about alternative healing modalities, Kelsey turned to yoga, meditation and reiki for help. Little did she know, energy healing would become her life's calling. Using her spiritual toolbox of reiki, yoga, meditation and EFT, she healed body, mind and spirit from the inside out. How did she become the radiant goddess she is today? By releasing suppressed emotions and reframing her thoughts, beliefs and behavioral patterns, she learned how to cultivate creative and intuitive flow in all aspects of her life, including work. Seeing the profound shifts these spiritual practices have had on her own life, Kelsey decided to dedicate her life to guiding and healing others. Through public speaking events, corporate workshops at Fortune500 companies, retreats and one-on-one sessions, she helps her clients release old patterns and uncover their authentic truth, so they, too, can experience true fulfillment. In addition to her energy healing practice, she is the owner and creator of Magik Vibes, an online shop and solo podcast (which is releasing this week!) for all of your energy healing needs. Reiki, crystals, journaling, smudge sticks, essential oils… My oh my! In the meantime, check out her podcast with Ryan Weiss, Break Up with Your BS, for tips on how you can break up with your ego and tune in with your higher power. Jay Campbell is a Champion Men’s Physique Competitor, Author, and Entrepreneur. Follow him on Twitter Check out his Website Listen to his Podcast -AND- Read his fat shredding guide: The Metabolic Blowtorch Diet. Motivation Health "I've tried pretty much everything... I've worked with various people on diet and fitness, and I kind of evolved my own diet. It was a version of a fasting diet, but it was also tailored to the unique wants and needs of the individual. Subsequently, I think it was about 2012, maybe 2013, we came up with a version of The Metabolic Blowtorch Diet. I used it with my inner circle... all the way up until we wrote a book on it, which came out at the end of September 2017. " Jay explains his protocol of Intermittent Fasting wherein a person eats a large, high-protein, meal before the fast begins with a period of fasting that lasts about 18-24 hours. Essentially, on weight lifting days the individual needs to eat, and on non-weight lifting days the individual fasts for 18-24 hours, and ideally practices some form of fasted cardio (with that cardio session being LISS, or low intensity-steady state cardio). We talked about the concept of eating a high protein meal prior to a long fast in Episode 106 with J. Wes Ulm. Fitness "The most important thing as we age is to build muscle... Muscle is the greatest deterrent to disease because the more muscle a person has the more metabolically active they are, that also means the more resistant they are to the various diseases of aging. All disease is metabolic in nature... it's a very intricate system internally..." Jay explains that the higher muscle mass a person has, the less insulin resistant they become. Since there are so many diseases with metabolic syndrome and insulin resistance as a primary factor, therefore a higher insulin sensitivity (or less insulin resistance) makes a person more resistant to diseases. For his personal training schedule: currently Jay lifts weights Monday, Wednesday, & Friday, with Tuesday, Thursday, & Saturday being fasting days combined with LISS cardio. Peace of Mind "Honestly, up until 6 years ago my peace of mind was to go to sleep at night... Basically, what I would call peace of mind is doing 'inner work'... however you define it, it's a silencing of the mind, and all of this insanity that we have today from a technology standpoint, from a distraction standpoint, from social media ... As a human being you have to be able to go and separate that, (and) have what you would call 'me time'... a lot of people talk about meditation... it's kind of hard sometimes to go within and settle down. So, for me I do a lot of contemplation... going to a place where I am peaceful and there is no distraction... That, for me normally, is to go out in nature... in commune with Mother Earth... You're essentially connecting with all that is on this planet... depending on your level of belief, and depending on what you do that can consist of anything. For me, it's praying, and I'm in essentially my own conversation with God... I'm not a religious person at all, but I'm just a spiritual person. I believe God is within all of us, and that we all have souls, and by getting in touch with our souls we're on a direct pipeline to God." We talked about the similarities between prayer and meditation before in Episode 101, with RuEl. Adapt & Overcome "The greatest opportunity in life is through contrast and struggle... I've always been a go-getter. I've always been a do-it-yourself person. But, once I started realizing that there were no mistakes, there were no failures, there were no collapses, that everything was a learning experience and an opportunity to be better and to learn from, my entire life changed. I look at that now today, and I always try to work with as many people as I can because I'm all about service to others... That's my whole entire life now... That's really the goal of being here as a human: How many people can you truly help and serve?" May the wind be at your back... We covered so many topics in this episode, and ran out of time before we were halfway through the list. So Jay has agreed to come back at some point down the line for a follow up show to cover more information from his books. Be on the look out for that episode in the future. As always: may the wind be at your back along your journey towards health, fitness, and peace of mind.

Ru El is your average, everyday, guy-next-door, ultra runner. Listen as he speaks his truth about his journey towards health, fitness, and peace of mind. We talk running, shoes, going the distance, the power of prayer, and more.  Follow him on Twitter Check out his Website Listen to his Podcast - AND - Hear his new show: The Service Guys Podcast with co host Lonnie Beauchamp. Health - Ru El starts out the health conversation with the importance of coffee in his life. Essentially his method is the NSNG (No Sugars No Grains) method created by Vinnie Tortorich, with the addition of a small amount of white rice as well. "I've been doing it for about 5 years now. I'm not pristine about it, but it's my base mode of going about how to fuel my body." Fitness - Like many people who are successful in their fitness, Ru El has adopted the routine of no routine. "I'm one of those guys that just likes to dabble with running... Depending on what's going on in life and whatever I can fit in, that's what I'll do. These days, I'm fit for a run...These days my fitness routine happens to be just running." Take something you love and make it a part of your life. Peace of Mind - What brings Ru El peace of mind in the troubled times we all inevitably go through? "When times really get hard, I gotta talk to God. From where I sit, sometimes it feels like people have forgotten that you can turn to whatever higher power there is in your life... God, running, and some type of meditation: That's how I get my peace of mind." Adapt and Overcome How does Ru El adapt and overcome to the challenges and obstacles in his life? "To overcome: put your head down and just go. Eventually, something is going to happen that makes you feel like it's all worth it. For me, it's every day I wake up and get to be with my wife and my kids, and at the end of every day praying with the kids and giving thanks that we get to come back home and be with each other, because there's a lot of others out there that don't have that connection." Ru El's Advice on Running Shoes "When 'Born to Run' came out, I jumped on that hard." Ru El tells us that he went out and got himself a couple pairs of the minimalist style shoes after reading Born to Run, by Christopher McDougall. Specifically, he purchased the Vibram FiveFingers, and New Balance MT10 to begin his journey with minimalist style shoes. He tells us about once attempting a half marathon using the Vibrams, and mile 7 into it his feet started hurting. On the subject of wearing minimal shoes for a long distance event, Ru El says: "It's not the smartest thing to do. I'm amazed I didn't break any bones doing that." These days Ru El wears the minimal style shoe as his day-to-day shoe because he likes the "angle of no angle" so to speak, and is currently wearing the Altra Lone Peak as his main shoe. "Just go with it day to day like I do. Don't make the mistake of getting a minimal shoe and then running the trails or pounding the pavement. Be kind to your body. Get the proper footwear... Be mindful. If you get sore, then rest." Stretching "I don't do a whole lot of stretching these days. It might sound ridiculous, but here's the reason why: My activity is primarily running... There was a regular set of stretching that I used to do for martial arts. But, when running came I picked up some information somewhere, and whether or not it's accurate, it basically said that you want to keep your ligaments and muscles not 'too lose' if you will (too flexible). You need to have a little bit of tension so that as far as running is concerned you'll have the right amount of spring and snap-back." Ru El did note that when he feels muscle tension, he will stop and stretch as needed. However, overall it is not a part of his general routine. Avoiding injury Essentially, just listening to the body. Instead of running with a cookie-cutter training plan, just ask yourself what you can do. Try the out and back routine, and challenge yourself. As far as attempting a certain distance without fearing the process overall, Ru El thinks it's best to gradually build the distance with only one long run per week. Breath Control "I think there was a time when I stressed out a little bit on how I'm supposed to be breathing. I think the point is that you just have to breathe." Ru El has found the most useful advice through Chi Running. He has trained himself to maximize his breathing with essentially breathing in through the nose, with the "belly breathing" concept. This means allowing the diaphragm to fully contract during the inhale so that the lungs can get maximum air intake, which essentially looks like pushing the belly outwards. Hence the term "belly breathing". May the wind be at your back... Ru El has found a lifestyle that maximizes his own health, fitness, and peace of mind. This means eating whole foods, making fitness a part of his life, connecting with family, as well as being grateful and mindful in all aspects of life. Sounds like a recipe for success. May the wind be at your back along your journey towards health, fitness, and peace of mind.

I love HGTV. It’s easy to get hooked watching JoJo and Chip Gaines on “Fixer Upper” transform an old ranch home into something SPECTACULAR (with shiplap of course!), and I’m always picking up little tips that I can DIY along the way. Because sometimes DIY is best. A professional web designer or developer isn't always the answer. And neither is a seasoned copywriter or Facebook ad consultant. Here’s the truth: You’re an entrepreneur. Which means, by nature, you’re a DIYer. In fact, you probably started your business because you knew you could do something better yourself. You’re likely great at wearing many hats—owner, marketer, writer, developer, etc. AND, you may have to do things yourself for awhile because you don’t have a big team or a big budget (yet!). I’m here to say, “You’re on the right track!” I think there are some things you just have to DIY, especially when you’re a rookie entrepreneur. In the long run, your business and your tribe will be better off for it. BUT, there aren’t enough hours in the day, week or month for you to do every single thing yourself. So these are the five things I believe are crucial for you to take on in the beginning: Website (Listen in at 4:40) Copywriting (Listen in at 11:05) Marketing (Listen in at 16:25) Facebook Ad Campaigns (Listen in at 21:16) Money (Listen in at 26:55) None of these might seem like small potatoes—and they’re not—but I’ve got some resources below to help ease the learning curve. Also, hang out with me until the end and I will answer the question that crosses every entrepreneur’s mind on this topic: How long do I need to keep doing these things myself? Let’s roll up our sleeves and get to work.
