Join Rahul and Ben for their conversation with Canadian trial lawyer, Paul Miller, who shares the fascinating account of his effort to find justice for Canadian diplomats impacted by Havana Syndrome.  Paul explains the mounting evidence showing that Canadian and American diplomats posted in Cuba, England, Russia, Vietnam, and China have been targeted by weapons that use microwave or similar technology that is invisible but can cause brain damage, leading to a variety of life-long injuries and symptoms.  The story is somewhere between science fiction and spy novel, but much more troubling because the human victims are real people, including diplomats and their families.   About Paul Miller https://hshlawyers.com/ “I became a personal injury lawyer because I wanted to ensure that people, when devastated by injuries had access to not only benefits and compensation, but access to the courts in order to seek out justice for injuries they have suffered.” A dedicated advocate for people who have suffered personal injuries, Paul has 20 years of experience involving cases of defective products and medical devices and fighting for those denied justice. Paul has proven experience with high profile cases including serving as co-counsel for Canadian Diplomats in Cuba affected by Havana Syndrome, co-counsel representing Canadian Veterans affected by Mefloquine, co-counsel representing B.C. in its class action lawsuit against opioid drug companies, co-lead counsel for the victims of the 2005 Air France crash at Toronto's Pearson airport, and as representative for 23 Canadians involved in litigation surrounding the events of September 11, 2001. His passion for helping those wronged by negligence led to his dedicated work on the MK Airlines Halifax Plane Crash, TVM Litigation, and presently, the Ethiopian Airline Crash, Hernia Mesh Litigation and Essure. A Certified Specialist in Civil Litigation, Paul has been nominated twice for Canadian Lawyer's Top 25 Most Influential Lawyers and recognized in Best Lawyers for his work in Product Liability Litigation. He's a past board member of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association (2004–2006) and a current board director with the US-based organization Public Justice. Paul is an avid golfer. OB/GYN Dr. Julio Novoa, who not only provides excellence in women's health care but is renowned for his minimally invasive techniques, joins the HMP to discuss all things foreign body reactions, metal hypersensitivity, ASIA syndrome and beyond. Not only a OB/GYN, Dr. Novoa also specializes in cosmetic gynecology but might just shine as the brightest light in his concern for women's safety and advocacy, who agrees more with a patient-centric model for healthcare as opposed to approaching medicine strictly from a business perspective.  Seeing a trend towards unnecessary medical procedures and not being a fan, he became alarmed with routine practices in surgical standards that harmed the patient. Noticing a large subset of patients with severe symptoms from foreign body implantation, such as the Essure permanent sterilization device, surgical clips and staples, leaky breast implants and more, he knew he had to speak out and continues to do so today.  We discuss a newer-term and evolving diagnoses: ASIA Syndrome or Autoimmune Inflammatory Syndrome Induced by Adjuvants. Dr. Novoa explains what an adjuvant is and why it matters. We discuss various types of foreign body reactions and why surgeons should be able to readily explant anything they are keen to implant. We also discuss localized and systemic hypersensitivity reactions and whether or not everyone who has them can be classified under the definition of the ASIA effect.  Dr. Novoa goes on to detail clinical observations and personally observed results from the large amount of explant surgeries he has performed and witnessed. More and more complete resolution of the patient's vast symptoms upon explantation became the rule, rather than the exception and he shares some of those experiences. He states his opinion on whether asymptomatic patients with implants should consider having them removed after healing has occurred. A lengthy discussion ensues surrounding how to affect change within the medical communities, physicians groups and governing bodies and Dr. Novoa offers his opinion as to why physicians aren't putting two and two together and completely missing the boat when patients present with systemic and localized foreign body reactions. We also go into the super-serious topics surrounding informed consent and how we need to up our game with our own surgical consents and medical records. This episode will encourage patients to look more closely prior to surgery and to find their voice when experiencing practices that could increase the risk of foreign body reactions.  You'll also want to tune in to hear who is Dr. Novoa's favorite heavy metal band!  In this episode you will learn: All about informed consent.  Why keeping copies of op and pathology reports is critical.  How to affect change in medicine.  Can what's put in come out? ~Links and Resources~ ~ Check out Dr. Novoa & The Novoa Medical Services website HERE.    ~ ~To learn more visit HeavilyMetalled.com. ~Sign the petition to urge metal hypersensitivity screening HERE.  ~ Check out the “Heavily Metalled” resource page: https://www.heavilymetalled.com/resources ~ Follow Heavily Metalled on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/HeavilyMetalled ~ Follow Heavily Metalled on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/heavilymetalled/ ~ Subscribe to Heavily Metalled on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@HeavilyMetalled ~ Check out our sponsor https://melisa.org ***Many WONDERFUL, supportive special-interest communities exist for metal allergies and diet, hardware issues, medical devices, etc., online and on social media. EP19 - Essure Sterilization: Life-Threatening Migration, Fatigue, Pain & Symptoms  Our guest for this episode is a first for the Heavily Metalled Podcast….”Maria” is telling her story, choosing to remain anonymous, regarding almost a decade of pain, symptoms and difficulties surrounding the Essure permanent metal sterilization device, taken off the market in December of 2018 after a litany of deaths, adverse event reports and intense scrutiny. “Maria” was able to have her Essure removed via a full hysterectomy, many years after having the devices implanted for the bargain-basement price of $50, and experiencing brain fog, fatigue, severe pain and many other symptoms that medical professionals did not feel could be related. She shares her courageous fight, along with her physical and emotional journey in order to help others identify mysterious symptoms and pains that may not even be on the patient radar surrounding the Essure devices. “Maria's” story is not a story of metal allergy, but a story of a foreign body reaction causing physical and immune havoc within a formerly healthy body. Solving years of mystery symptoms and returning to full health with the miraculous removal of the metal devices sent her on a mission to help educate and prevent anyone from suffering the same fate due to the Essure sterilization device.  In this episode you will learn: Health concerns and adverse effects surrounding Essure.  How providers often failed to notify Essure patients of pending litigation and symptoms.  Why removing the Essure sterilization device is anything but simple.  How patients who still have implanted Essure devices remain at risk.  ~Links and Resources~ ~ Check out the Bleeding Edge on Netflix here: https://www.netflix.com/title/80170862 ~ ~To learn more visit HeavilyMetalled.com. ~ Check out the “Heavily Metalled” resource page: https://www.heavilymetalled.com/resources ~ Follow Heavily Metalled on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/HeavilyMetalled ~ Follow Heavily Metalled on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/heavilymetalled/ ~ Subscribe to Heavily Metalled on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@HeavilyMetalled ~ Check out our sponsor https://melisa.org ***Many WONDERFUL, supportive special-interest communities exist for metal allergies and diet, hardware issues, medical devices, etc., online and on social media.

Happy Halloween everyone! My guest today is Rachel (Rae) Chatterton, a naturalistic Pagan and anti-natalist hailing from a small town in northern Michigan where she and her husband are the only childfree couple that they know of. Rae delves into her decision to opt for permanent birth control, the sterilization process, and the challenges she faced in a misogynistic healthcare system that often resists such choices.Together we dissect societal assumptions - from being childfree in a rural community to the intriguing parallels between witches and childfree women. We dive deeper into the misconceptions surrounding those who choose to be childfree and those who identify as witches, and how these stereotypes continue to pervade societal thinking and media portrayals. The conversation extends to Rae's belief in naturalistic Paganism, examining how it intertwines with her identity and how she navigates intrusive questions about her personal and religious choices.Lastly, we pull back the curtain on the concept of anti-natalism, discussing its implications for humanity, from extreme to moderate perspectives.Warning: please skip the timestamp 5:30 - 5:47 if you're triggered by delivery complications.  Follow Rae on Instagram at @childfree.raeofsunshine  This article provides a helpful overview of the controversial Essure sterilization procedure, which was discontinued in 2018 due to "a decline in use as women chose other options". Support the showEmail me questions at childfree.me.podcast@gmail.com - I'd love to hear from you!Follow on the Gram: @childfreeme_Music from #Uppbeat: https://uppbeat.io/t/andrey-rossi/seize-the-day License code: 10MWPZUG3AZBGZPR

Estradiol and estrone are completely cleared from blood by a single passage through the liver, and are inactivated by hydroxylation and conjugation with sulfate and glucuronide. Approximately 50% of the protein-bound estrogens in blood are conjugated with sulfate or glucuronide. Although the liver may excrete some conjugated estrogens in bile, they are reabsorbed in the lower part of small intestine and returned to the liver via portal vein by a typical enterohepatic circulatory pattern. Estrogens are also metabolized by hydroxylation and subsequent methylation to form catechol and methoxylated estrogens. Hydroxylation of estrogens yields 2-hydroxyestrogens, 4-hydroxyestrogens, and 16α-hydroxyestrogens (catechol estrogens). The kidney is the main route of excretion of estrogenic metabolites.” THEN give encouragement that if these women consider these steps and execute then they have a much better chance at delaying menopause. We're back for another round of Q&A with Dr. T! So much misinformation is shared when it comes to women's health. It's not all in your head. As you probably know, I'm a firm advocate for the removal of foreign bodies and foreign materials, particularly within my practice with the Essure coils. Many women go through a long journey to have the problem acknowledged and often spend years dismissed by doctors. A big part of this podcast is about patient advocacy and empowering you to stand up and speak your mind regarding your health. Today I'm joined by actress Candice Barley, who has become a patient advocate after her harrowing experience with breast implant illness. Within a few months of getting breast implants at age 24, Candice started experiencing extreme chronic fatigue, which her doctor dismissed as a side effect of having two young children. From then on, Candice experienced one issue after the next, with increasingly debilitating symptoms, until she connected her implants and her illness. Almost immediately after her explant surgery, everything began to improve. In this episode, Candice shares her journey with breast implant illness and explant surgery, the symptoms many women experience but never connect to their implants, the dismissive response most women receive from their doctors, what to do if you think you might be experiencing breast implant illness, and more. Breast implant illness is a relatively new topic, and many people in the medical community still shrug it off. If you have breast implants, you'll get a lot of insights from this episode and the resources on Candice's website. Enjoy the episode!   Highlights The first signs that something was wrong Candice's repeated saline ruptures and implant exchanges Escalating health and hormonal issues after each procedure Misinformation about the safety of silicone implants How Candice made the connection between her implants and ongoing illnesses Why it's crucial to remove the capsule in explant surgery Candice's rapid symptom reversal after explant Why many doctors won't make the connections between these symptoms and breast implants The ongoing lawsuit between women and the breast implant companies The emotional and psychological impact of implant removal Where to start your journey if you are considering removing your implants Critical considerations for a post-explant protocol   Connect with Candice Barley Website https://www.olisticolife.com/ Instagram https://www.instagram.com/olisticolife/ Explant Surgeons https://www.olisticolife.com/explant-doctors   Resources Dr. Shawn Tassone's Practice https://www.drshawntassone.com/ Dr. Shawn Tassone's Book | The Hormone Balance Bible https://tassonemd.com/hormone-balance-bible/ Dr. Shawn Tassone's Integrative Hormonal Mapping System | Hormone Archetype Quiz https://tassonemd.lpages.co/hormonearchetypequiz/     Disclaimer This podcast and website represent the opinions of Dr. Shawn Tassone and his guests. How long can something so problematic stay on the market? With 1 in 4 uterinekind facing serious problems after getting the permanent birth control Essure, you would assume doctors would start to question the reliability of this product. All too often, it's women who bear the brunt of medical device failures. A major example is Essure, which came on the market in 2002 as a female sterilization device. It was sold to physicians and patients as a non-surgical, FDA-approved option that could be inserted without much downtime. Sounds good, right? That's what many of us thought at first, but by 2016, many women reported issues, and I started removing them. At the end of 2018, Essure production was stopped, and the distributors took it off the market. Today Women's Fitness and Nutrition Coach Bree Argetsinger, also known as The Betty Rocker, joins me to talk about her experience with Essure and ultimately having it removed. Criteria for Paraguard client intake. The FDA's conflicted relationship with big pharma. Essure litigation process and the impact of women taking action themselves. Allergan Biocell breast implants currently under recall and the signature injury caused by these implants. Quotes: “In essence, we're seeing that a lot of the Paraguard devices, which is an IUD breaking off on removal, causing significant issues” (00:59 Susen) “Devices are usually categorized as class one, class two, or class three, depending upon essentially their risk. Class one being the low-level risk class, three being the high-level risks, such as pacemakers. The class three medical devices have what they call pre-market approval, where they go through a very high-level pre-market approval process they're meant to be for life-saving devices.” (2:03 Susen) “They regulate it as a drug, but the problems that we're seeing today are device problems” (3:25 Susen) “So many of these torts are woman-centric, reproductive centric issues. When you go to a nurse or doctor and you say something's not right, you're discredited.” (5:05, Easterby) “There is no other cause for this specific type of cancer, other than this breast implant” (15:28, Susen)

Life-changing pain from supposedly routine implant operations. Kim Chakanetsa speaks to two women who were injured by medical devices, and have gone on to campaign for concerns about them to be taken seriously in the UK and US. Kath Sansom set up Sling The Mesh in 2015, ten weeks after having a trans-vaginal mesh implant for stress urinary incontinence (SUI), which immediately caused her excruciating pain and debilitation. It was removed seven months later, but Kath is still dealing with the physical and mental after-effects, and fights on for others left in chronic pain by mesh operations. In July 2018 the UK Government temporarily paused the use of vaginal mesh for SUI cases in England, while they carry out a safety review. This is due to report in Spring 2020. Angie Firmalino's permanent birth control implant caused heavy bleeding, fatigue, and sharp stabbing pains. Removing it left fragments of metal and plastic in her body, which continue to cause her health problems. Angie founded the Essure Problems online support group to share her story and warn other women of the risks. It grew to tens of thousands of members who took their concerns to the authorities. In 2018 the device was withdrawn voluntarily by the manufacturer, who say they stand by Essure's safety and efficacy. For the #TRASHRelationship segment we're talking pet peeves when it comes to women. Things get interesting as we take a moment to do some self reflection. "Are we toxic"? Speaking of the toxic, you know we had to touch on R Kelly's 20 minute confession in song form. #85 — Essure Dangers: Permanent Birth Control Pain ** October 7, 2015Host // Lisa BloomquistEssure is a kind of non-surgical sterilization that was approved by the FDA in 2002. Since then, three-quarters of a million women have signed up. We’re talking about the insertion of metal coils inside the fallopian tubes, which is supposed to prevent hookups between egg and sperm.A one-time, hassle-free procedure. Modern technology has surely improved upon the IUD of yore, right? It sounds simple enough. So, why are thousands of women complaining of:debilitating painweight gain, hair lossdepression, brain fog, fatigueflu-like symptomsdigestive disordersoccluded fallopian tubesunintended pregnanciesdid we mention the pain? These thousands of women are joined by consumer activist extraordinaire, Erin Brokovich who set up the Essure Procedure.net website to encourage more women to come forward and share their stories. The legal system isn’t open to these women because of something called “federal preemption” of class III medical devices. But these women aren’t taking this lying down. They’re making so much noise, challenging manufacturer Bayer AG, that the FDA is taking another look.Lisa Saenz is a 46 year-old mother of 4 daughters and 2 grand children. She is a licensed Social Worker and currently works as a Crisis Intervention Social Worker with high risk patients addicted to opiates. Her background includes 23 years as a patient advocate for the mentally ill. As a victim of these awful devices, she joined and helped promote the Essure Problems Facebook page. This led to her current role as a passionate patient advocate for women’s health and reproductive safety.Lisa Bloomquist is a patient advocate who was injured by Cipro in 2011. She runs Floxie Hope, a fluoroquinolone toxicity advocacy site, and manages The Fluoroquinolone Wall of Pain. Lisa is a guest blogger for Hormones Matter and Collective Evolution, and hosts The Floxie Hope Podcast. Lisa has vowed to continue to screaming about the dangers of fluoroquinolone antibiotics until those in the medical professions start paying attention to their Hippocratic Oath, until proper informed consent is established for administration of these drugs, and until physicians stop giving them to children. Lisa is a Colorado native who enjoys the mountains, Pilates, and her cat. She has a BA in Economics from Colorado State University and a Masters in Public Administration from University of Colorado, Denver.

Dr. Monteith, a surgeon at Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center, explains Essure reversal. Many women regret the decision to have the Essure sterilization and want it reversed. When many of these women return to the physician that performed the Essure procedure they are told it cannot be reversed. The truth is that the Essure coils can be removed. For those that want to have more children, fertility can be restored. For those that just want the coils removed this can also be done without the fear of pregnancy following.

Why did Kidder Kaper leave the Sex is Fun Podcast? Well, it isn't because he hates Laura Rad, Gay Rick, or Coochie. He left because he accomplished what he came to do. Does Kidder still care about sex and sex education? Of course! Kaperlife.com is going to be all about sex, but not ALL about sex. Kaperlife is going to be about living a most awesome lifestyle!!!Jade and Kidder Kaper discuss the most pansexual party ever! It was so pansexual party that it blew Gay Rick's entire concept of Kidder's sexuality. What does pansexual mean? Pansexual: Adjective - Not limited or inhibited in sexual choice with regard to gender or activity. It means that you can play with anyone you wish regardless of whether or not they have penises or vaginas. So at this party, EVERYONE played with partners of both sexes. So imagine Kidder Kaper licking Gay Rick's ass like piece of strawberry-flavored saltwater taffy, because that is what happened.Gay Rick's boyfriend, Cole, made out Kidder and ended up inserting a butt plug in Kidder's ass. Jade made out with a lot more men then women but not all of them were str8. She learned how to bite nipples now! Every girlfriend Kidder Kaper has ever had has been or become cool with the fact that they are bisexual and none of them had much of an issue with it or needed much time to question their sexuality.Kidder Kaper has a new offensive theory about Gay, Bi, and Straight and Hetero-flexible men. He believes that the big difference between gay men and non-straight men is simply this; gay men will never love eating pussy. Kidder Kaper loves eating pussy!Jade gets the Essure, a perminent sterilization. Now she feels more confident about not getting pregnant and that is a good thing. ;)Download the Show Now!
