245 – What do you do when people or circumstances rob you of your joy?Have you ever been on top of the world and full of joy when something terrible happens, your joy vanishes, and you feel like you're sinking into a pit of quicksand? Is there a way to hold onto your joy when a challenging situation comes up? That's what this week's episode is all about. The Bible talks a lot about joy. But it's not the fleeting happiness that is like a weather vane, which shifts depending on which way the emotional winds are blowing.True joy goes deeper than that:Joy comes from within because of who we are as children of GodJoy is a result of knowing our relationship with GodTrue joy comes from being in God's presenceIt comes from understanding your place in the kingdom of heavenWhen you've lost your joy, the remedy is gratitudeThe more you feel your deep spiritual connection with God, the less you'll be influenced when terrible things happen or you get bad news.Jesus says nothing can take away your true joy, your connection with God. (John 16:22)There may be times when it feels like circumstances have robbed you of your joy. But your joy is actually still there, still part of who you are as a child of God. Are you ready to discover your true spiritual joy? It's that time of the year when we all start reflecting… We all take a moment to be grateful for the people in our lives and the things we have.As we celebrate Thanksgiving in the US this week, my hope is to light the path for you to experience a richer lifestyle regardless of where you are in your financial journey. As I've touched on before, richness in life goes beyond money, it's measured in the currency of experiences. If you're a repeat listener of the podcast (and if not, you should be :-)), then you're probably well on your way to creating your own version of an Affluent Life. For that, I'm so very proud of you! Yet, I also want to invite you to pause, think, and appreciate the journey itself…with all the highs and lows. Just like the melody of a song, the highs and lows create the depth of richness you experience.I believe today's society is starving for people coming from a place of gratitude and showing appreciation for others and themselves. I firmly believe that if we approach life humbly, considering others' needs and desires, and showing gratitude and appreciation, we'll have bigger chances of getting where we want to go. This way we'll leave a trail of beautiful souls blessed with our gratitude and appreciation, and the best part of it, it doesn't cost us anything. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. I'm beyond grateful for this Affluent Entrepreneur community. I appreciate you for allowing me to live my calling in life. May this episode inspire you to appreciate how you can decide to live yours starting today!TODAY WE'RE DISCUSSING:The effects of not practicing gratitude, how it can affect our business, our relationships, and our lives in generalWhat happens when we bring up the energy of gratitude into our livesThe three core principles of practicing gratitudeThe three categories from the internal perspective of gratitudeWhat activities we need to put into play to practice gratitudeWhat is The Gratitude Game Plan™RESOURCES MENTIONED:Gratitude Game Plan™ Handout: https://melabraham.com/wp-content/uploads/Gratitude-Game-Plan-Handout.pdf TAKE THE FINANCIAL LIBERATION ASSESSMENTTake this free assessment to see where you are on the path to financial freedom and what your next steps are to move you to a new financial destiny at http://www.YourFinancialFreedomQuiz.com OTHER RESOURCES:7-Day Money Plan Workshop: https://www.TheMoneyPlanWorkshop.comAffluent Entrepreneurs Private Facebook Group https://www.melabraham.com/group/CONNECT WITH ME:Website: MelAbraham.comYouTube: MelAbraham.com/tube/Instagram (@melabraham9): MelAbraham.com/ig/Facebook Group: MelAbraham.com/group/TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@melhabrahamCHECK OUT MY BOOK:“The Entrepreneur's Solution The Modern Millionaire's Path to More Profit, Fans, & Freedom” - melabraham.com/book/
Episode 86: An Experiment in GratitudeThe research on the positive impact of gratitude is compelling. On this episode, Dr. Janel Anderson tests for herself whether gratitude makes a difference in daily work and personal life. She shares the results of a six-week gratitude experiment she conducted on herself. On a daily basis, she recorded small moments and significant events that she was grateful for, with the goal of seeing if it made a difference in her life. The short answer: Yes. This episode is full of examples of what she found gratitude for (some will surprise you) and how gratitude appeared, even on the days when she consciously forgot to keep up her gratitude log. Simple things like beautiful scenery or maybe just the fact that we woke up today are good reasons to be grateful.Connect with Steve and Jason:LinkedIn: Jason or SteveWebsite: Rewire, Inc.: Transformed Thinking Email: grow@rewireinc.com Show notes by Podcastologist: Justine TallaAudio production by Turnkey Podcast Productions. Episode 7 of Paranormal Stories. This week the books are 'Alien Disclosure: Experiencers Expose Reality' by Lon StricklerAnd 'Dying to See: Revelations About God, Jesus, Our Pathways, and The Nature of the Soul' by Janet Tarantino.Lon Strickler about his book 'Alien Disclosure: Experiencers Expose Reality'.The question isn't, have we been visited by extraterrestrial beings, but what is their agenda?Human experiencers are providing us with actual accounts of alien abduction and close encounters with other worldly beings. Their stories are important, giving us a real sense of this global phenomenon and to the possible agenda behind these visitations. This book will detail numerous encounters which will help answer questions such as: Is the human species part of a grand experiment? Who are the Men in Black? Is our species, with the assistance of extraterrestrials, headed towards a technological and biological singularity? The experiences described in the accounts are brutally forthright and span decades. Some of the stories will shock you, some will offer greater clarity, and some will even frighten you. Either way, these experiences will present a vivid account and no doubt leave you questioning the origin of our species.BioLon Strickler is a Fortean researcher, author, and publisher of the syndicated 'Phantoms and Monsters' blog. He began the blog in 2005, which has steadily grown in popularity and is read daily by tens of thousands of paranormal enthusiasts, investigators and those seeking the truth. His research and reports have been featured on hundreds of online media sources. Several of these published reports have been presented on various television segments, including The History Channel's 'Ancient Aliens,' Syfy's 'Paranormal Witness', 'Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files,' and Destination America's 'Monsters and Mysteries in America.'He has been interviewed on hundreds of radio & online broadcasts, including multiple guest appearances on 'Coast to Coast AM.' He was also featured on Destination America's 'Monsters and Mysteries in America' television show for 'The Sykesville Monster' episode. Lon has written 9 books and is currently the host of Phantoms & Monsters Radio on YouTube.Lon was born and raised in south central Pennsylvania, near the Gettysburg National Military Park and Battlefield. After living in the Baltimore, MD metro area for 40 years, he eventually moved back to his hometown in 2016.https://www.amazon.com/Alien-Disclosure-Experiencers-Expose-Reality-ebook/dp/B097HYSN7F/ref=tmm_kin_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=1648218577&sr=8-1https://www.phantomsandmonsters.com/Janet Tarantino 'Dying to See: Revelations About God, Jesus, Our Pathways, and The Nature of the Soul'.What happens after we die? What is consciousness? Are God, Jesus, heaven, and angels real? In the past, these age-old burning questions remained entirely unanswered until near-death experiences, like Janet Tarantino's, have shed light on what lies beyond life on this earth.Janet's engaging story is passionate yet humble, thought-provoking yet mind-shattering, and leaves readers wanting a supernatural experience too—but Janet warns we need to be careful what we wish for. She says these types of experiences can blow one's life apart like glass shattering to pieces until the NDEr understands the deeper meaning of what God was conveying. It is only after understanding the important messages within that bring wholeness, joy, and comfort to our lives in the fact that we never die and life goes on into eternity.Janet says the narratives of her three near-death experiences hold characteristics that are not restricted to one religion but stretch the boundaries to contain aspects of Christianity, Buddhism, Spirituality, and possibly more because she says God is the superpower of everything.Dying to See is a spirited mystical adventure filled with a mind field of explosive insight into the supernatural world around and beyond us. As Janet describes her most in-depth NDE, she tells us how God embraced her and showed her moments of her life directing her to “Understand these moments. They matter.” Janet terms her transformational experiences the “Ultimate Ambush Makeover” and her inspirational discoveries will guide you, as it did her, to a life of purpose and gratitudeThe progression of her personal otherworldly experiences communicates the answers to the three burning questions above and will also help you to:Know in your heart why God says we are never alone and that He lives life with us as He declares in religious texts.Know with certainty that your prayers are answered.Know that we have a host of divine assistance that chaperone and protect us.Discover how we can identify the individuals in our life with whom we may have soul contracts and which ones have assisted in bringing clarity to the value of both positive and negative relationships.Discover the spiritual education you may have chosen pre-birth so you can embrace the wisdom from your sacred journey.Embrace messages from heaven and the divine inspiration of your inner spirit and live with love, peace, and joy.Janet says we should open our eyes and hearts each day with a sense of adventure, wondering where God will guide us, what nuggets of wisdom we can collect, and who He will bring into our lives for us to assist or learn from. After all, our life is the highest and most important journey we'll ever have.BioOne summer, when Janet took leave on a well-deserved vacation, she was in a severe car accident and found herself no longer in this earthly world, but rather looking back toward this one from a different world. She tried tucking the experience away, not telling anyone about it, but the heavens wouldn't allow her this luxury. This accident was a catalyst to other unexpected occurrences, including a more intricate and revealing near-death experience (NDE) that shook her to the core. This higher intensity NDE spurred Janet's desire to understand the complexities and relationships involving her experiences, initiating her journey for spiritual understanding. After more than 15 years of investigating near-death experiences and the many different facets involved therein, she now understands the intricate details of everything that happened- or at least most of what happened. But, as is often the case, more has been revealed over time- at just the right time, according to the heavens. Janet has channeled her spiritual understanding into a passion to share this knowledge with others; she is now ready to reveal the transcendental and encouraging information that she has learned from her spiritual experiences. Her knowledge, examples, and insight about the revelations of Heaven and the nature of the soul will enlighten, uplift, and offer peace to those seeking the answer to the common question: What happens when we die? You will be astounded, relieved, and encouraged to know the answer.https://www.amazon.com/Dying-See-Revelations-Pathways-Nature-ebook/dp/B0858VGG9V/ref=tmm_kin_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=1648204080&sr=8-1https://www.janettarantino.com/https://www.facebook.com/JanetTarantinoNDEr/https://www.instagram.com/janettarantino_author/https://twitter.com/_JanetTarantinohttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UCj1CQ6FU3SiCEI6Bt8-Ou9g/videoshttp://www.pastliveshypnosis.co.uk/https://www.patreon.com/alienufopodcasthttps://www.patreon.com/pastlivespodcasthttps://teespring.com/en-GB/stores/the-past-lives-podcast
We're in the midst of a collective rebirth right now. A new way of being human on the planet is emerging. And healing our sensuality is at the heart of it all. We're being called into deeper intimacy with ourselves, with each other and with nature; the beautiful planet we call home. During this transition things are bound to feel a bit (or a lot) chaotic. As things shift and dismantle it's bound to get messy. Healing is never neat, tidy or straightforward. We have to be willing to come undone, to somatically unwind, to be raw. That's all part of the process. And we were born for this. And yet...amidst all of the chaos it's never been more important to have a vision. As astrologer Caroline W Casey says "Imagination lays the tracks for the reality train to follow." If we we don't have a vision; a clear read on our desires, we're going to end up somewhere we don't want to go. We may even get completely derailed. If you think that the manifestation game is only for millennials and the wealth coaches they follow, I hear you. There's a lot of noise out there. Some of it is a bit annoying, immature and misguided. So, dear Queen, that's why we need you in this game. Your vision matters. Your desires matter. Your turn on matters. Massively. The ripple effect you have on your domain is immense.I feel that turned on seasoned women will guide us through this wild mutation with grace and joy. With the lived wisdom we've accumulated, the big love in our hearts and the creative life force of our sexual energy, we are indeed a force. And a source of much needed guidance for the younger generations. It's never been a better time to get clear on our vision and desires and get real with manifestation. When we power that with our sensual pleasure, we've got something really powerful going on.That's what this episode is all about; the power of intentional turn on.I dive into:How we sabotage gratitudeThe power of embodied gratitudeWhy pleasure is the ultimate manifesting hackThe frequency of visceral gratitudeThe ancient roots of sex magicWhy is sex magic is practical magicThree simple steps to manifest with pleasureHow to take it next level with a sensual ritualEnjoy!xo,DianneAnd if you're resonating with what I'm saying here in the show, I've created a free training for you to take it deeper. It's super juicy, and robust. A must-watch for any turned-on seasoned woman! What I cover:Why pleasure actually matters. What Sacred Feminine Energy is and how do we know when we're cut off from it.Why we want to tap into this innate sensual power within. Why midlife is the best time to tap into it!How we activate & embody our inner goddess. What the Taoist Jade Egg Practice is & why it's the master tool for all of the above.Access the training by clicking below. This episode was recorded in 2019. It features an interview that I gave to my HighExistence teammate Mike Slavin on Stoic philosophy. If you enjoyed this episode, I recommend you subscribe to both The Highexistence Podcast and The Stoic Handbook Podcast for more. ---Most people have heard of Stoicism. It's a philosophy dense with practical wisdom. But how many Stoics do you know?I don't mean people who have read Meditations or Letters from a Stoic, I mean actual Stoics…Individuals who are comparable to the authors of these books in their tranquility, wisdom, self-discipline, and joy. This was a question I kept asking myself as I embarked on my study of Stoicism 10 years ago.One of my passions is learning, or more specifically learning through systems.I'm the guy who measures every workout at the gym, keeps detailed spreadsheets for the progress of my martial art, and has pretty much every habit tracking app available on his phone. I believe technology if harnessed correctly, can be an incredible tool for wisdom. This is why, when I first started getting into Stoicism, I was disappointed by most people's answer to “How do you ACTUALLY become a Stoic?”Most of the time the answer was something like the following:Read the original Stoic classics multiple times. Reflect on your day by journaling. Do a few visualizations throughout the day. Focus only on the things you can control. It's not a terrible answer, but it's far from great. I needed a roadmap. I needed to know that I wasn't going to be wasting my precious time focusing on the wrong things. I needed a system. When I first started Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu two years ago I realized the deep value of embodied wisdom. You cannot watch technique videos and expect to beat opponents at grappling. So much of the learning comes when you are faced with challenges you must overcome. With Stoicism, many people spend time filling their heads with ideas and not putting any of it into practice. This means the time spent reading about the Stoic principles acts more like a distraction from problems than an antidote to them.So how do we get around this? How do we get actually bridge the gap and put theory into practice and stop wasting time in intellectual la-la-land??That's what we discuss on the podcast today. On this episode, I relinquished my usual role as podcast host so I could sit in the hot seat. Fellow collaborator at HighExistence, Mike Slavin wears the interviewer hat and together we explore topics such as:How I used Stoicism to overcome my social anxietyThe exercises I developed for reducing intense fearThe right and wrong ways to learn Stoicism (and anything else)My favorite technique to live with more gratitudeThe key components missing from modern StoicismMy thinking process behind my Stoic coursesAnd tons mo
Self love. It's everything right? Never before have we had so much support and information on learning to care for ourselves and love ourselves for who we are. That's beautiful. And ...I want to dial it up a bit. Have you ever considered self romance? Like really truly being able to put yourself into a swoon? To fall head over heels in love with yourself? This goes way beyond eating well, exercising, meditation and affirmations. What's missing most in the wellness space, I feel, is our sensuality. What a crazy thing to emerge from a full academic year of pandemic impact on sports! You may be tempted to just try and forget about the 2020-2021 athletic season and move on. We get it!!! But what if by taking some time to decompress and process what was lost and what was not to be, we can gain valuable perspective which can help “redeem” this year's disappointments for a purpose greater than just "getting through"? Consider the possibility that this year in sports has potentially changed you forever . . . In this final episode of Season 1, we interview Sidelined USA's very own Director of Marketing & Development, Jackie Allibone, a former D1 lacrosse player who experienced multiple disruptions in her athletic career due to serious injuries as well as a devastating career-ending injury. Jackie talks about some of the transformative thinking that helped her not only make peace with her losses, but also grow through them. In the “athlete after-huddle”, she is joined by former competitive athletes Val Jones and Tene Thompson who also both experienced injuries which ended their athletic careers before they were able to play out their aspirations. In this episode Christie & Mia discuss how we get through living a human existence as a spiritual being. Walking the Walk: Getting through the Journey Day to Day. We've covered so many topics from trauma healing to how to connect with spirit - but we want to really get into the nitty gritty of how this translates in your daily walk. Of course we will attempt to do this with the little time we have so we may need to create a part 2. This podcast was born out of the knowledge of how difficult it can be to thrive as your full divine self in this chaotic world. WE KNOW. We are moms, divorcees, in our 40s, have whole careers and are spiritual entrepreneurs - and we're coping and processing this world just like you. But, when we started really waking up to the divinity that lives in us...that coping and processing got infinitely better and we want you all to shine as well. Topics of discussion:Dealing with yourself. What does that mean? Where to begin? Mind your business Adopt an attitude of gratitudeThe importance of your community - like-minded and like-energy individuals....and more.We continue to receive several questions on our platform and we greatly appreciate them. Keep those questions and comments about any of the episodes coming our way. We hope this episode will help those who are seeking answers.Tune in for this week's crystal, intuitive message for the collective and temple work! It is holiday season and I think that I'm not alone with a say people are feeling the stresses. Today I want to hop on the gratitude train because around Thanksgiving there's so much talk about gratitude, and what it can do for us. I think that it is such an important part of creating more pleasure in your life. When we're talking about having a good sex life, it's not just about the sex we're having. It's about creating the internal structure in our brain so that we can open the invitation and it's easy for pleasure to enter. Focusing on our brain as an internal resource, and asking ourselves: what are the things that we're working on with our mind on purpose that is going to help us have more pleasurable sex?
