El Campus Industrial de Ferrol refuerza su carácter internacional gracias a la convocatoria de bolsas de máster para alumnado extranjero de la Universidade da Coruña (UDC). En la jornada de hoy han visitado el campus cuatro de los estudiantes beneficiarios: Ernesto, Alvin, Thalía y Adrian, que cursan distintos posgrados en la Escola Politécnica de Enxeñaría de Ferrol (EPEF) y en la Escola Universitaria de Deseño Industrial (EUDI). En el curso 2025/26 se concedieron un total de nueve bolsas, siete en modalidad presencial y dos para estudios en línea. Las ayudas presenciales cubren matrícula, viaje y estancia, con una dotación de 600 euros mensuales durante nueve meses, mientras que las bolsas en línea financian exclusivamente la matrícula. El programa beneficia a alumnado procedente de Cuba, Ecuador, Colombia y Guinea Ecuatorial. Desde su creación en el curso 2021/22, esta iniciativa ha permitido que 38 estudiantes internacionales se formen en Ferrol, consolidando el campus como un referente académico y multicultural.

La Sala de Exposiciones del Centro Cultural Universitario del Campus Industrial de Ferrol inauguró este viernes la muestra “Las primeras profesoras de la UCM”, impulsada por la Delegación del Rector para la Igualdad de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM). La exposición, compuesta por 47 paneles, recuerda a las primeras mujeres en incorporarse a la docencia e investigación en la universidad pública más antigua de Madrid y podrá visitarse gratuitamente hasta el 20 de febrero, de lunes a viernes, de 10:00 a 20:00 horas. El acto contó con la presencia de representantes de la Universidad de A Coruña (UDC), como las vicerrectoras Cristina López y Ana Ares, y de la Oficina de Igualdad, junto a la delegada del rector para Igualdad de la UCM, Isabel Tajahuerce, y la comisaria de la exposición, Violeta Izquierdo. También asistió la concelleira de Igualdad de Ferrol, Elvira Miramontes. La muestra incluye retratos e información biográfica de cuatro pioneras gallegas: Emilia Pardo Bazán, Antonia Ferrín Moreiras, Jimena Fernández de la Vega y María Paz Alonso Quijada. Esta exposición itinerante forma parte del proyecto Académ1cas_UCM, que recupera la memoria de las primeras docentes de la UCM entre 1910 y 1975, y refuerza la colaboración institucional para visibilizar a estas mujeres pioneras que transformaron la universidad en España.

L'arrivo a Mendrisio, il prossimo 28 gennaio, dell'eurodeputato italiano e vicesegretario della Lega Roberto Vannacci continua a fare discutere. Su invito della sezione locale dell'Udc e dell'Associazione “Il mondo al contrario” l'ex generale spiegherà a un pubblico di 400 persone (conferenza “sold out”) perché la Svizzera farebbe bene a starsene lontana dall'Unione europea. Problema: il personaggio è noto per le sue esternazioni su migrazione e remigrazione, donne, disabili, omosessuali, denunciate da molti come divisive, sprezzanti, razziste, xenofobe. L'MPS chiede al Consiglio di Stato se l'arrivo in Ticino dell'autore del “Mondo al contrario” sia compatibile con la disposizione di legge che vieta l'istigazione all'odio. Un Preventivo che presenta un deficit di 97 milioni e che non piace a nessuno. Tant'è che sul tavolo del Gran Consiglio, che inizierà la discussione domani, ci sono tre rapporti (erano quattro, inizialmente). Quello di maggioranza - firmato da PLR e Centro – è l'unico che approva, anche se a denti stretti, quasi integralmente la proposta governativa. Quello di minoranza proposto da Ps e Verdi, chiede invece un'inversione di tendenza, abolisce molte voci di riduzione della spesa, aumenta le entrate e conta sugli utili della Banca Nazionale, che quest'anno dovrebbero essere sostanziosi. C'è poi quello targato Lega e uno Udc, che in sostanza rimanda il dossier al Governo, chiedendo di proporre entro 60 giorni un Preventivo che chiuda in pareggio, agendo solo e unicamente sulla spesa. Rapporti completamente diversi quindi gli uni dagli altri, a dimostrazione che nemmeno stavolta si è arrivati a trovare una convergenza sui conti dello Stato e che non esiste – al momento – una maggioranza garantita a favore di uno dei tre rapporti. Si andrà con ogni probabilità in votazione popolare per dare seguito all'allentamento sull'esportazione delle armi a fabbricazione svizzera. Anche se non era il tema del dibattito, in Parlamento sono chiaramente risuonate due visioni contrapposte sulla questione di fondo: vogliamo che la Svizzera continui a produrre e ad esportare armi, oppure no? Alla base delle discussioni su quali e quanti paletti debbano essere posti all'export e ri-export di armi, ci sono infatti due visioni: la prima che ritiene fondamentalmente difficilmente compatibile con la Svizzera umanitaria e neutrale il fatto di esportare armi in Paese nei quali queste armi serviranno ad uccidere, la seconda che ritiene invece che, soprattutto nel contesto globale attuale, la Svizzera abbia bisogno di un'industria di armamenti forte e al passo con i tempi, e questo è possibile solo esportando La legge svizzera sul materiale bellico è dunque un gioco di equilibrio tra responsabilità etica e interessi economici e, soprattutto, di politica di sicurezza. Ne parliamo a Modem con Greta Gysin, consigliera nazionale dei VerdiMauro Poggia, consigliere agli Stati ginevrino del Mouvement des Citoyens (gruppo UDC) 

Las alumnas Clara Souto Ferreiro e Irene Rodríguez Ríos, del Campus Industrial de Ferrol de la UDC, fueron reconocidas en la segunda edición de los Premios de Emprendimiento por sus trabajos del curso 2024/25. Clara Souto, graduada en Gestión Industrial de la Moda, obtuvo el primer premio en Artes y Humanidades por su TFG sobre la estrategia de branding de Beboppy, una marca propia centrada en el bienestar femenino nacida en el programa Santander X Explorer. El galardón está dotado con 800 euros. Por su parte, Irene Rodríguez, titulada del máster en Ingeniería de Diseño Industrial, recibió el primer premio en Ingeniería y Arquitectura por su TFM dedicado al rediseño de la orfebrería tradicional gallega para joyería de alta gama, también premiado con 800 euros.

El Auditorio de Ferrol acoge la I Feria de Formación y Educación, un encuentro que reúne a cerca de 1.300 estudiantes de ESO, Bachillerato y Formación Profesional con el objetivo de acercarles la amplia oferta educativa existente en Galicia y en el resto del país. El evento cuenta con 19 expositores donde participan las tres universidades públicas gallegas —USC, UVigo y UDC—, junto con la UNED, la Universidad Intercontinental de la Empresa, CESUGA, la Universidad Europea, la Universidad de Navarra, Nebrija y el centro U-Tad, entre otros. UDC Saudable es un servicio dependiente del Vicerrectorado del Campus de Ferrol y Responsabilidad Social cuya misión es promover hábitos de vida saludable entre el alumnado, el personal docente e investigador y el personal de administración y servicios de la Universidad de A Coruña. Según explica su director, el profesor Sergio Santos, el proyecto nació con la intención de integrar la salud y el bienestar en la vida cotidiana universitaria mediante acciones formativas, campañas de sensibilización y actividades abiertas a toda la comunidad. Este servicio, pionero en Galicia, forma parte de una red de universidades comprometidas con la salud, aunque la UDC destaca por su enfoque colaborativo y por la coordinación entre campus. Una de sus iniciativas más reconocidas es el programa “Campus Sin Humo”, que comenzó en Ferrol y se ha extendido recientemente al campus de A Coruña, en colaboración con la Asociación Española Contra el Cáncer (AECC). El profesor de Historia Antigua de la Universidade da Coruña, Juan Luis Montero Fenollos, acaba de regresar de una misión arqueológica en Mosul, al norte de Irak, donde representó a la UDC como único arqueólogo español en una expedición internacional junto a expertos del Museo del Louvre y la Universidad de la Sorbona. Hoy en RadioVoz Ferrol, Montero relató su experiencia excavando en una de las ciudades asirias más grandes del mundo, una urbe de 400 hectáreas considerada “el lugar donde empezó la historia”. Pese a las difíciles condiciones del entorno y los estrictos controles de seguridad, el arqueólogo destaca la acogida y generosidad del pueblo iraquí y la importancia de la cultura como herramienta para reconstruir sociedades tras la guerra. “Transformar un lugar de violencia en un lugar de conocimiento es una forma de paz”, afirmó. Ferrol, una vez más, tiene un embajador del saber en el corazón de la antigua Mesopotamia.

La Universidad de A Coruña (UDC) conmemora el 50º aniversario del fallecimiento de Ángela Ruíz Robles, maestra, escritora e inventora gallega, conocida como precursora del libro electrónico, con una mesa redonda que tendrá lugar el martes 28 de octubre a las 18:30 horas en la Biblioteca Ángela Ruíz Robles del Campus Industrial de Ferrol. Participarán su nieta, María Luisa Souto Grandal, y las investigadoras de la UDC María Jesús Fuentes Silveira y María Noelia Sánchez Maroño, con la moderación de María José Abad, subdirectora de la Oficina de Igualdad de Género (OIX). Durante el encuentro se recordará su legado, incluyendo un prototipo de su Enciclopedia Mecánica expuesto en el MUNCYT. Hoy en Ferrolanos por el Mundo, la ingeniera naronesa Ana Ortega nos cuenta su estancia de investigación en la Universidad de Padua. Graduada en Ingeniería en Tecnologías Industriales por la UDC y doctoranda en Ingeniería Naval e Industrial, Ana colabora en el grupo TES explorando la inteligencia computacional para optimizar el aprovechamiento energético. Entre experimentos y cálculos, también ha descubierto los tramezzinis de la ciudad: ¡su favorito lleva pesto, mozzarella y tomate! y ha conocido una ciudad espectacular. Incluso le ha dado tiempo a viajar hasta Venecia par descubrir la ciudad de los canales, muy proxima a la ciudad universitaria de Padua.

El Servicio de Deportes de la Universidad de A Coruña en el Campus Industrial de Ferrol ha presentado la programación de actividades deportivas para el curso académico 2025/26, en el que la comunidad universitaria supera los 3.000 estudiantes, incluyendo también al alumnado de la Universidad Sénior. Este año, además, se incorporan por primera vez más de 660 nuevos estudiantes. Las instalaciones deportivas del Campus de Ferrol están situadas en el Centro Cultural Universitario, donde se encuentran tanto las salas de actividades dirigidas como el gimnasio. Para poder participar en cualquiera de las propuestas deportivas es necesario disponer del Abono Deporte, que tiene un precio de 35 euros y es válido durante todo el curso académico (del 1 de septiembre al 31 de agosto). Este abono es obligatorio para inscribirse en cualquier actividad ofertada por la UDC. Asimismo, existe la opción de matrícula para el público en general mayor de 18 años, con un coste de 70 euros (del 19 de septiembre al 30 de junio), que se suma al precio específico de la actividad elegida. Esta modalidad permite participar en actividades abiertas, pero no incluye el uso libre de las instalaciones ni la participación en competiciones universitarias internas o externas. She has extensive experience leading research projects in economic sociology, particularly in financialization studies, the sociology of money, and financial innovation. Parley Dutson tells his story from inside the Central Utah Correctional Facility in Gunnison Utah. Thanks to the UDC for allowing us access to hear how Parley, and many others, are working to change their direction and perspective preparing them for the time they will be released. He was born and raised in a religious community called Colorado City. Finding himself an outcast, he discovered “the world”. Going from a strict religious world to the total freedoms of life didn't work well for him. After two years of running and gunning, he committed a horrible act that was completely against his nature that sent him to prison for a very long time. He tells of the anguish he feels for what he did and how in spite of that, has found value in education and self-improvement. Currently serving as a mentor in the Captain Your Story lifestyle curriculum, Parley is a leader in the criminal Justice reform space having had the opportunity to testify virtually to the Utah State Legislature as well as meet with a state senator Derrin Ownes and executive director Brian Redd of the UDC. Parley's emotion can easily be heard as he tells his heart wrenching story.
