Summer road trips sound relaxing… until this crew gets involved.Today's episode starts innocently enough with everyone sharing their summer travel plans. Arkansas suddenly becomes the hottest college destination nobody expected, Michigan's crystal-clear water gets hyped like the Caribbean, and then WalletHub drops a bombshell ranking the best and worst states for road trips. Somehow Missouri lands near the bottom thanks to safety concerns, and suddenly everyone is defending their favorite states like they're running for governor. Then things get weird.A hypothetical question sends the entire room into chaos: How much money would it take for you to live in Rhode Island and never leave? Some people are perfectly happy with seafood and lighthouses for a cool five million dollars. Others need hundreds of millions to compensate for never seeing another professional sports team again. Somehow this turns into discussions about private jets, concerts, and whether rollerblading in a Dunkin' parking lot counts as entertainment.Because this is a daily comedy show, the conversation naturally takes another hard left turn into the worst names parents have ever given their children. The gang debates names like Lester, Bertha, Eunice, Gaylord, Todd, and Hortense, with strong opinions about which names deserve comebacks and which ones sound more like plumbing parts than human beings.Along the way, there are hot takes on old-school names, celebrity confusion involving Vin Diesel's actual name, memories of cool people named Wanda, and enough sarcasm to fill several road trips. This daily comedy show somehow manages to combine travel rankings, financial planning, retirement fantasies, and naming conventions into one giant, ridiculous conversation that only The Rizzuto Show could turn into entertainment. So buckle up, lock your doors if you're driving through Missouri, and enjoy another daily comedy show filled with road trip debates, celebrity confusion, and the kind of weird discussions that happen when friends with microphones have entirely too much free time.Follow The Rizzuto Show → https://linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → https://1057thepoint.com/RizzShow.Hear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
We're heading to Samoa again with Scott K, host of The Church of Tarantino and Men of Action podcasts, to talk about Hobbs & Shaw! After talking about why Scott claimed Hobbs & Shaw months ago, we hear his (sort of unusual) rankings. We wind up comparing the franchise (and its characters) to Batman and Robin, Halloween III, and Charles Manson -- each of which inspires exciting possibilities for alternate realities. Scott promises to do some Kurt Russell recon for us then discusses what he loves about Hobbs & Shaw -- and where he wishes the movie ended. Joey comes up with a potential reason why Vin Diesel may be so serious in the later movies and wonders: were they trying to set up Eiza Gonzalez's character for a spinoff? We run through uses of slow motion in the Fast franchise. Email us: family@cageclub.meVisit our Patreon page at patreon.com/2fast2forever. It's Life in the Fast Lane -- or is it the Slow Lane? -- because "slow is fine" after all, according to Vin Diesel. Anyway... We kick things off with the Tokyo Drift Minute, where we learn all about Paw Man and wonder why Sean isn't thrown out of the bath house in his towel. We then Run the VIN and get the first classic Vin post in more than two months, where we get a big update: "Several works in progress. Riddick. Kaulder with Sir Michael. Rock ‘em Sock ‘em… went personal on this one, but Mattel loves it. Theo, my homage to New York, the city that made me. The Arbor King. Some say Groot is Disney's most valuable asset." You said it, Vin! 2 Fast 2 Furious is in the Criterion Closet! (Thanks, Jason.) But... is Vin Diesel? Joe offers helpful life advice to improve your bath routine and talks about his hunt for New England's best cinnamon roll. We talk about Backrooms, Widow's Bay, Margot's Got Money Troubles (no spoilers for any). Joey talks about the Radiohead Motion Picture House and Phoebe Bridgers' $1 concert. Spike sits down with Nolan and Joe from Donut Media to talk about building one of the biggest car channels on the internet, why Porsche content flops with younger audiences, and whether spending more money actually makes your car faster. Plus, someone drives onto elevated train tracks because their GPS told them to. ______________________________________________

We've got a jam-packed Life in the Fast Lane today, including an all-time quote: “in my mind, you, Vin, were born in Cannes.” – Thierry Frémaux – Vin Diesel. First, we start with a Tokyo Drift Minute that could have been filled with so much detail! But, alas. Still, we find some good stuff, Joe gives us a Japanese history lesson, and Joey talks about Wim Wenders' film Perfect Days. A reminder: voting is still open for the 2 Fast 2 Forever Hall of Fame, so vote now! Next: Vin is back on Instagram in a big way, but his captions are less prolific than usual. (That's okay; you'll see why soon.) We then catch up on all the news from the NBCU Upfronts and Cannes. Most importantly: the new Fast and Furious TV series (at least one! maybe four! probably not!) in what Vin Diesel is calling “The TV Space.” We talk about how we'll cover the shows, guess what they'll be about, and pitch our dream show. Vin gave a prolonged intro to screening of The Fast and the Furious film at Cannes? You don't say! Meanwhile, Jordana Brewster requests more agency for her character (nice!) while making some conflicting comments about whether or not she watches these movies. Joey reads Vin Diesel's essay in Variety, which is both genuinely good and genuinely Vin. Joe shares some good news about the new Tokyo Drift rollercoaster. A listener writes in with a new theory about whether Tokyo Drift takes place in 2006 or 2013, and our Patreon family grows in two ways. We talk (without spoilers!) about Obsession, I Love Boosters, and more movies in theaters. Email us: family@cageclub.meVisit our Patreon page at patreon.com/2fast2forever. This week, we're talking about how the new Mortal Kombat movie kind of rips and Widow's Bay is fantastic. But man, we have to discuss Vin Diesel and the collapse of one of the world's biggest movie franchises. Sometimes that dude says stuff just to hear how it sounds.
Dave is joined by Darryl on this week's Geektown Radio as they chat through the latest TV, film and gaming news, along with the shows and games they've been watching recently.Darryl kicks things off with a look at ‘High Potential' Season 2, the crime procedural starring Kaitlin Olson, which continues to deliver those fun “clever outsider helps the police” vibes. He also reviews ‘Mistletoe Murders', the surprisingly intriguing cosy crime series starring Sarah Drew, which is available in the UK on ITVX, along with Jackie Chan action thriller ‘The Shadow's Edge', and indie drama ‘The Bearded Girl'.Meanwhile, Dave has been diving into the early access release of ‘Subnautica 2', which builds on the underwater survival, base-building and monster-dodging brilliance of the original game. He also gives his thoughts on ‘The Punisher: One Last Kill', the Marvel one-shot style special bringing Jon Bernthal's Frank Castle further into the MCU, and discusses the finale of ‘Outlander', including its deliberately ambiguous ending. Plus, there's a look at ‘Good Omens 3', which wraps up the story of Crowley and Aziraphale in a 90-minute Prime Video finale. In the news section, we cover ‘The Lincoln Lawyer' ending with Season 5 on Netflix, Channel 4 cancelling ‘Pushers', and a huge batch of BBC comedy renewals including ‘Amandaland', ‘Black Ops', ‘Such Brave Girls', ‘Things You Should Have Done', ‘Mammoth' and ‘Two Doors Down'. We also discuss renewals for ‘Prisoner', ‘Running Point', ‘My Life with the Walter Boys', ‘Jury Duty', ‘Reacher', ‘Margo's Got Money Troubles', and more. There are also air date updates for ‘Ride with Norman Reedus' on ITVX, ‘Stuart Fails To Save The Universe' on HBO Max, ‘VisionQuest' on Disney+, and ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power' Season 3 on Prime Video. Ahoy. 00:00:00 Begrüßung 00:01:38 Ist 5 die perfekte Staffelanzahl? 00:03:20 Über die 3. "I like watching people fight for money." This week, we're joined by Menuhin Hart, creator of the NNFA theme song, for another splendiferous episode that swings from 76ers heartbreak, Mother's Day reflections to AI comedy bots, fake identities, and more Fast & Furious! We get into the pain of being a Sixers fan while getting swept by New York, Dave's first Mother's Day after loss and why Teona needs to apologize, why men remember the exact last time they cried and the worst TV/Movie moms in history. Then we get into News from the Surface, with a Bronx woman pretending to be a teenager for benefits, the AI “rizz bot” doing stand-up comedy, why celeb culture is wild with updates on the singer, D4vd, and we find out there's more Fast&Furious coming down the line, which makes us question whether Vin Diesel has mastered racial ambiguity forever. Welcome to Multiverse News, your source for information about all your favorite fictional universes.During Disney's annual upfront presentation on Tuesday, Marvel Television revealed that the long awaited VisionQuest series will hit Disney Plus later this fall, with the debut streaming October 14. A trailer for the Paul Bettany led spinoff was also shown to media buyers and advertisers and reportedly featured a look at James Spader's return as Ultron. This exciting update comes on the heels of Daredevil: Born Again's Season 2 finale and the release of the Punisher special presentation; with all eyes on the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day and, of course, Avengers: Doomsday,Disney's Tuesday presentation also shed some light on Lucasfilm's streaming future with Ahsoka Season 2 promised for an early 2027 release window on Disney Plus, more than 3 years after Season 1 streamed in 2023. Rosario Dawson took the stage where she teased, “This season, the battles are bigger and the stakes are higher.” Ahsoka creator and Lucasfilm co-head Dave Filoni backed Dawson's comments while featured in a sneak peek of the upcoming season. It's been a while since we discussed DC's Deathstroke & Bane team up feature with details remaining sparse since it was first announced in September; now Deadline is reporting that according to its sources not only is the film still in development, but multiple directors including Greg Mottola as a frontrunner are in talks to helm it. Mottola is no stranger to the DCU or James Gunn, having directed episodes of Peacemaker. While DC has yet to comment, Moon Knight writer Matthew Orton reportedly wrote the initial screenplay for the villain duo team-up and is set to do a rewrite if Mottola does end up being the choice. In other DCU news, Friday Night Lights actor Sinqua Walls has joined the cast of Man of Tomorrow in an undisclosed role. Deadpool and Wolverine director Shawn Levy is now attached to direct an original sci fi film written by Max Taxe titled Somewhere Out There for Netflix. New release Mortal Kombat 2 came in third place at the box office this weekend, behind The Devil Wears Prada 2 and Michael. Globally, The Devil Wears Prada 2 has crossed $400 million dollars and Michael has crossed $500 million dollars. Mortal Kombat 2 earned a worldwide box office total of $63 million dollars with only $23 million of that total made overseas. NBCUniversal has confirmed that a live-action Fast and the Furious series is in development. Vin Diesel, who will serve as a producer, announced the project, which is set up at Peacock, on stage at the NBCUniversal upfront presentation Monday morning. Florence Pugh is set to star in and produce fantasy drama The Midnight Library, which will be directed by Garth Davis. The Midnight Library is based on a novel of the same name by Matt Haig.Conan O'Brien will return to host the Oscars in 2027 which will make his third consecutive year as the host of the ceremony.Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul has joined the cast of season 3 of Prime Video's Fallout. After bringing Michael Crichton‘s theme park vision to the screen scripting 1993's Jurassic Park and two sequels, screenwriter David Koepp is looking to tackle another one. Deadline hears Koepp will revisit Westworld, the 1973 film written and directed by Crichton. A major unnamed director is also circling the project for Warner Brothers.

It's a simple action movie that grew into a billion-dollar global franchise. "The Fast and the Furious" marked its 25th anniversary with a midnight showing at the Cannes Film Festival. Lead actor Vin Diesel was joined on the red carpet by the daughter of his late co-star Paul Walker, to whom he paid an emotional tribute. FRANCE 24's Culture Editor Eve Jackson also tells us about the other films that have festival-goers revved up, from an "unhinged" slasher flick with Gillian Anderson and Hannah Einbinder, to a film starring Barry Keoghan as the charismatic leader of a Circassian immigrant family.
(airdate: 6.12.26) On today's Who Cares News: Fast & Furious is heading to television with a brand-new streaming series in development, because apparently there are still unexplored ways to launch cars through buildings. Plus, Westworld is getting rebooted AGAIN, proving Hollywood will never stop rebuilding robot cowboys that immediately try to murder tourists. And despite internet rumors, sources say Keith Urban still has a relationship with daughters Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret following his split from Nicole Kidman. So buckle up for family drama, killer androids, and Vin Diesel probably saying "family" at least seventeen times. Voted 6th Best Entertainment News Podcast! Because being #1 is soooo overrated.

We're headed to Abu Dhabi to talk about Furious 7, this time with Derek Lawrence: journalist and author of the upcoming book, A Quarter-Mile at a Time: The Oral History of the Fast & Furious Franchise! After learning about his new book (its format, release date, and what he learned from his interviews), we share a mutual admiration of Vin Diesel's Instagram and talk about what Fast Forever will look like (as well as what fans actually want). Derek remembers a time when his friends splintered over Tokyo Drift vs. Cars, talks about his love for Fast and Furious and Hitch, and shares his favorite Fast interviews. We talk about whether Fast Forever could mark a return to Furious 7, reexamine Kurt Russell's presence in the franchise, and wonder why we haven't seen a Shaw family movie yet. Derek talks about what he loves most about Furious 7 (and what he'd remove). We share new theories about the Vin/Rock feud and who Samantha Hobbs's mom may be. Derek names the only writers he would trust with writing Fast movies, gives Jordana Brewster credit for her emotion in this movie, and tells us a fun story about his rapport with Sung Kang. We're breaking down the doors (metaphorically) in the new Life in the Fast Lane, and we've got a message for you: "Heeeeeere's Seanny!" In a very quiet (or, in Joe's words: "least available to us") installment of the Tokyo Drift Minute, we find ourselves face to face with a reference to classic horror. Then, Vin Diesel lets us down as our Running of the VIN yields no new Instagram posts. We get some more (bold!) guesses about the amount of screentime for Hobbs in Fast Forever. Joey disappoints Joe re: new movies, but follows it up with a recap of a great theater experience. We then talk about other things we've watched (and making guesses about upcoming seasons of The Pitt) before talking about sports frustrations and fast food recommendations. Tanks, the longest runway ever, and one perfect (albeit pants optional) trilogy. We're celebrating our 2nd anniversary with what might just be the greatest bad movie we've ever covered. That's right — after Fast and Furious got us started two years ago, and Fast Five blew our minds at our 1-year anniversary, we're closing out Justin Lin's perfect trilogy with Fast and Furious 6 (or as it's known in the actual movie: Furious 6).This is peak Fast and Furious. A tank on a highway. The longest runway in cinema history. Vin Diesel catching Letty in mid-air. Luke Evans being absolutely perfect as Owen Shaw. Gina Carano with a Han Solo gun. Shea Whigham getting his nose broken again. And practical stunts that put modern CGI-fests to shame. We learned that Letty can't remember anything (but knows one thing about herself). That Owen Shaw has a code, and it's precision. That the Rock is very, very shiny. That this might actually be better than Fast Five. And that after watching the credits roll, Greg literally shed a tear.Justin Lin delivers a masterclass in action filmmaking — with seven different vignettes happening simultaneously during that insane plane sequence, all perfectly edited together by a team that deserved Oscar nominations. The direction is flawless, the stakes feel real (they actually lose battles!), and somehow a movie about stealing a component for a weapon that can blind a country's military for a day makes perfect emotional sense. Is this the high watermark for the franchise? Absolutely. Is it borderline ridiculous? Yes. Is it objectively terrible but undeniably pleasurable? Without question. Did Greg think to himself an hour in, “this might be the best movie I've ever seen in my life”? He's not joking. This three-movie run (Fast and Furious → Fast Five → Furious 6) is some of the best action movie storytelling you'll ever see, and we're honored to cap off two years of Great Bad Movies with the conversation that needed to happen about this film. Also: Drinking Games (tire squeals, glass breaks, and Vin Diesel's lip flare), Very Important Questions, Joe's Real Back of the Box, what album this movie is, and why both of us think this might be the greatest bad movie ever made.If you'd like to advertise with us or sponsor us, please e-mail greatbadmoviesshow@gmail.comSubscribe to Great Bad Movies wherever you listen to podcastsMore Great Bad Movies online:InstagramGreat Bad Movies WebsiteYouTubeEmail us at greatbadmoviesshow@gmail.com Hosted on Acast. It's time for Life in the Fast Lane, for Vin Diesel to tell us about Cuba. First, though, is the Tokyo Drift Minute, which once again shows we have no grasp of how long these races take. (Also: how long will the world's longest runway scene take for us to cover?) Then, Vin has been busy on Instagram, including penning some LONG posts - and accidentally tapping into a new feature. Are we 1 year, 11 months away from... an extinction-level event? Ludacris has us worried. (Also: Get your guesses in for The Rock's screentime in Fast Forever! Time is running out.) Vin teases a story about him and Charlize from the 90s (we need to know more!), and he continues to test the audience appetite for returning characters. We explore the credits of Michael Lesslie, the new screenwriter for Fast Forever, which also leads us to a new theory for @ReactionRocket's identity. Joe talks about the Broadway adaptation of Dog Day Afternoon, we briefly talk about Ready or Not 2 and Project Hail Mary, and Joey talks about fantasy baseball and real baseball Email us: family@cageclub.meVisit our Patreon page at patreon.com/2fast2forever. Welcome to another episode of Death Don't Do Fiction, the AIPT Movies podcast! The podcast about the enduring legacy of our favorite movies! This February we're continuing our new “Fast February” series, where we cover the movies that made Vin Diesel a star and taught the world to live their lives one quarter mile at a time, The Fast & Furious franchise! In this week's episode, Alex, Tim, and returning guest Bill Mueller discuss 2003's awkward attempt to recapture the magic of the surprisingly successful first movie, 2 Fast 2 Furious! An incredible title! Those silly visor hats! Pepsi and NOS product placement! Trying to pick up girls during a dangerous undercover mission! A Sound Designer-approved audio mix! Loud, somewhat gaudy visuals thanks to that clumsy early thousands aesthetic! A possible influence on the Wachowskis' Speed Racer movie! A larger budget but a less tangible story with somehow even cringier lines! A third act you'll barely remember! The introduction of characters who would go on to be staples of the series! John Singleton trying his hand at directing a silly blockbuster! Race obstacles that would lead to expensive automotive repairs! A great car jump stunt that's wasted due to poor editing and unnecessary visual effects! A cast that includes a returning Paul Walker, James Remar, Eva Mendes, a pre-Yellowstone Cole Hauser, Mark Boone Junior, Devon Aoki, Ludacris, and Tyrese Gibson starting out as somewhat of a Dom Toretto wannabe before finding his character as the movie goes on! The entry of the series with possibly the least sense of "family," you never realized you could miss Vin Diesel so much! In addition, Alex shares his spoiler-free thoughts on Crime 101, Psycho Killer, and the original Hunger Games quadrilogy! You can find Death Don't Do Fiction on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts. As always, if you enjoy the podcast, be sure to leave us a positive rating, subscribe to the show, and tell your friends! This episode of "Seeing Them Live" features Eric Vollweiler, a seasoned producer, marketing consultant, and strategist in the film, festival, and entertainment industry with nearly two decades of experience. Charles explores Eric's journey from his early concert experiences to his current work helping festivals and creators connect with audiences, sponsors, and industry partners, including major festivals like Sundance, Cannes, and Toronto. Eric's passion for live entertainment was shaped early—his mother took him to his first concert at age 14, seeing Aerosmith with Black Crows at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center. He also attended a massive Grateful Dead and Crosby, Stills & Nash show that drew 70,000 people. After high school, Eric moved to New York City in 1996, working at legendary nightclubs like the China Club and the Tunnel under mentor Michael James. During this time, he even worked alongside a young Mark Sinclair—now known as Vin Diesel—at an elite catering company. His nightclub experience ended when he broke his wrist breakdancing at the Tunnel, prompting him to move back upstate for college. Eric's festival career began in 2001 when he volunteered at Sundance, eventually co-producing seven events there. A memorable highlight was sneaking into a Beastie Boys performance at the 2006 Sundance Film Festival. He recently launched the Vollweiler Agency, which provides comprehensive services to festivals including sponsorship acquisition, advertising, and social media strategy. Currently, he's working on the 11th annual Hip Hop Film Festival in New York City, which focuses on hip-hop culture through the lens of filmmaking. At the heart of his work is a commitment to filmmakers and providing opportunities for the next generation, guided by his philosophy: "Never ask the CEO for a job, but ask him to learn" and "the humbler you are, the better you'll be in life." BANDS: Aerosmith, Beastie Boys, Betty Buckley, Black Crows, Crosby Stills and Nash, Grateful Dead, Jerry Garcia, Melba Moore, U2, Ziggy Marley VENUES: Buffalo Highmark Stadium, China Club, Egyptian Theater, Knickerbocker Arena, Life, Saratoga Performing Arts Center, Saratoga Race Course, Sundance Film Festival, The Tunnel PATREON:https://www.patreon.com/SeeingThemLivePlease help us defer the cost of producing this podcast by making a donation on Patreon.WEBSITE - BECOME A GUEST:https://seeingthemlive.com/Visit the Seeing Them Live website and click on the link to fill out a form so we can consider you as a guest on the show.INSTAGRAM:https://www.instagram.com/seeingthemlive/FACEBOOK:https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61550090670708
