Continuing our focus on sustainable semiconductor manufacturing, in this episode Françoise speaks with Cédric Rolin, project manager at imec, about its Sustainable Semiconductor Technologies & Systems (SSTS) research program. Launched by imec in 2021, the SSTS rallies stakeholders from across the semiconductor industry to help reduce the ecological impact of the IC value chain.  In response to mounting concerns about climate change, tech companies around the world are accelerating efforts to complete carbon neutrality for their supply chains and products. The semiconductor industry recognizes its pivotal role in this endeavor. Studies show that almost 75 percent of mobile devices' CO2 emissions can be traced back to the underlying manufacturing process – with chip production being responsible for nearly half of that footprint. Against this backdrop, the SSTS program provides detailed information on the environmental impact of choices made during semiconductor technology's definition phase.  To date, SSTS has 15 member partners including Google, Amazon, Apple, Meta, and Microsoft; GlobalFoundries, TSMC, Samsung, and Rapidus; and equipment suppliers including Applied Materials, ASML, Edwards, Kurita, SCREEN, and Tokyo Electron. In this podcast, you'll learn the back story of the program, how it's structured, what role these companies play, how they developed a new data tool called imec.netzero, how the program will help companies achieve Net Zero Emissions, and more.   imec will be discussing this important topic further at its ITF Semicon USA, in a fireside chat with imec's  Emily Gallagher and SEMI's Mousumi Bhat.  Like what you hear? Episode 9 - Emily Gallagher - Representations of Victorian Women's DressIn this episode I'm joined by Emily, where we discuss her research into the history and representation of Victorian women's dress post-1901. We chat about the ways in which dress and dress objects are preserved and how this has implications for certain narratives of dress - for example, understanding what working-class women wore, and how our understanding of that period can be influenced. About my guest: Emily Gallagher is a PhD candidate at Birkbeck, University of London, researching the histories and representations of Victorian women's dress since 1901. Central to this research is the analysis of how popular images of Victorian women's material and personal lives have been influenced by constructed feminine ‘sartorial-Victorianisms', particularly in museum collections and displays. In 2020, Emily conducted a never-before-done survey of Victorian and Edwardian working-class dress objects in England's museums, forming the basis of her master's research which examined the ways in which the objects have been preserved and interpreted. Emily's research interests include museology, the Victorians in the 20th and 21st centuries, Victorian material culture, art, photography, and dress. For more information on Emily's work, check out the links and details below:Twitter: @emilymaygaEpisode Credits:Episode Writer, Editor and Producer: Emma CatanMusic: Burning Steaks (by Stationary Sign) - obtained via EpidemicSoundCheck us out at the following social media pages and websites!Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/victorianlegaciespodcastTwitter: @victorianlegac1Instagram: @victorianlegaciespodcastWebsite: https://emmacatan.wordpress.com/victorian-legacies-podcast/Email: victorianlegacies@gmail.com

This is the first DLG episode at the start of the pandemic. Emily Gallagher is running for state assembly against an old white dude who's been in the job unchallenged since 1973! WHA??? The election is June 23 and there are tons of ways that you can help her get elected without leaving your home! LOOK RIGHT HERE and DONATE HERE Emily is so inspiring because she is making a huge difference in our world and she is just like anyone else. No special advantages of any sort, she has to work for a living—no background in politics, etc. In this session Emily talks about her interest in letter writing at a young age, dealing with a sexual harassment situation at age 14 and her ability to get results influences her into being who she is today. In a poignant twist, Emily has recently lost her day job due to the pandemic. She takes us through her experience of getting let go over Zoom. We also find out her boyfriend is shy! Such great company on this show with Andrew Epstein who is an invaluable partner in her campaign with his vast experience and smarts. We also have the privilege of being joined by RFB's own Emily Scott, host of Objection To The Rule, who knows a shit ton more about local politics, etc. than I do!

This is why Emily Gallagher and Austin Elston decided to transition their production company Fishtown films into a sustaianable, responsible, and zero waste film production company. They dish the details on building an epic team and what it really takes to be an entrepreneur. You’ll definitely want to hear their takes on the societal belief that achievement equals success, how that plays on the stress addiction loop, and what they did to break that cycle.  The trio also discuss their struggles with imposter syndrome and self-actualization. They chat about the power of relationships and friendships, being surrounded by people who are “killing it”, and how it’s a game-changer in the inspiration for your business and your mindset of being unapologetically ambitious. Don’t miss their insights into the importance of showing up in excellence in all areas of your life and how that affects business and personal relationships.  “You’re only going to grow in business as much as you grow personally.” - Natalie Discover how to grow your audience on Instagram by 10,000 ideal clients in 30 days: bossbabe.com/ig-growth.

Fire AF episode of The Ground Up with powerhouse Conscious Boss, Emily Gallagher. Emily is a connector, coach, speaker, experience creator and obsessive collaborator. She is the creator of the Conscious Boss brand, which encompasses: Conscious Boss Clique, a growing network of 1200 wellness entrepreneurs who come together in person and online to learn from business leaders & to connect as a community, Conscious Boss Digital and her new program, Step Up to 6 Figures. Emily took her business from $20k to $200k in just 10 months, and now travels the world working with hundreds of entrepreneurs privately, through her group coaching programmes and events and is still passionately creating a conscious community of collaboration, connection & empowerment. We jumped IN on the layers it takes to be a conscious boss: - How the universe takes the lead for you when the opportunity is for you and you are willing to say YES - The beauty of community & collaboration - The ripple effect of service & sisterhood - Collaboration as the antithesis of competition - The power of vulnerability in leadership - How connected we are through our story and journey when we are willing to share it - Having a tribe to turn to and having that support being integral to achieving the life of your dreams - Being discerning about who you share your dreams with & how to deal with unsolicited feedback - Your heart will never lead you astray - your heart is your truth and your brain is your fear - Breaking up with certainty and stepping in to surrender - The need for certainty AND are the things you are developing certainty around...things that ACTUALLY excite you? - How your GOOD life is in the way of your GREAT life - The number one thing holding women back - Self-belief comes FROM taking action NOT before - You are never 'ready' to step outside your comfort zone. Action is the antidote to fear - If you are alive, you have 100% track record of things working out - There is no such thing as fearless but we can work WITH the fear and be courageous - How being in the game develops the character and belief in ourselves to achieve our dreams - How you can't connect the dots forward, but how they ALL make sense looking back. No skill or experience is wasted. - How IF and WHEN is a dream killer - There is no destination AND the journey is always evolving - Relinquishing 'the plan', expectation of the journey, stepping in to flow and allowing the path to reveal itself - Authenticity and why it is still a conversation - Radical ownership takes away the vulnerability of sharing your truth - instead you are just in ownership of your power - Facing off with your fear, running in to your edges and neutralise your story and your triggers - How can you be about something bigger than yourself and create positive change? - What it means to be a conscious boss Hope you enjoy the episode! Would love to hear from you on how it supported you or your biggest takeaway so be sure to leave a comment. Today we chat to Emily Gallagher of Conscious Boss.  Emily specifically helps ladies move from Idea to Launch, and then from Launch to Leverage in their businesses.   The big prequisite of this is that they do it with a conscious mind, and create something bigger than themselves.   We dive deeper into what she means by this and the impact it has on the businesswoman, their families, and the community at large.   Emily heavily promotes her success in 2017 of going from $20kpa to $200kpa.  She openly talks about this, and how she did it.  What I enjoyed is the admission and story behind it, and the fact that it did actually take 4-5 years achieve this, but how she used the years to educate herself, and position herself to be able to leverage off the relationships and value that she had been providing to these relationships to slingshot her business.   This is a great chat with a dynamic, energetic and passionate businesswoman who is going big places.
