The smell of Fall is in the air and people across the U.S. are preparing for a holiday season that will include gatherings. Family and friends get together, give thanks and celebrate one another. Much of that celebratory time takes place in the kitchen, the heart of the home where conversation and meal preparation are shared and enjoyed. Are you ready? Design Hardware - A stunning and vast collection of jewelry for the home! - Where service meets excellence TimberTech - Real wood beauty without the upkeep It's not only during the holidays, but everyday activities take place in the kitchen and a group of exceptionally talented designers gathered to share their thoughts on how the technological advancements in home appliances have changed the way people live and the way these advancements are bettering the lives of those who employ them. We started with a very simple idea to discuss: Technology, Style and Todays Most Well Designed Kitchens: Everything is Changing, How Some of the Most Talented Creatives Are Changing the Rules. The most talented designers understand that times are changing. They have seen it happen, in real time prior to the start of the pandemic. Societal changes dating back to the financial crisis of 08/09 led to a renewed look at the “value” of home and the Covid pandemic created a renewed look at the “purpose”. No space has changed more than the kitchen, previously dubbed, “the heart of the home” has morphed into the heart, brain and central nervous system. All things experiential touch the kitchen. Technology has led to some of the greatest advancements in expected areas like refrigeration, cooking and cleaning, but that is only the beginning. How have technological advancements led to increased quality of life? What followed is only the beginning in a wonderful journey of exploration. Thank you to Pacific Sales Kitchen and Home and Monogram for making this gathering possible. Great partners like Pacific Sales and Monogram appreciate their design clients and strive to provide opportunities to gather, learn and share experiences with our likeminded creates. They make the built environment community stronger and that in turn increases the quality of life for those fortunate enough to engage remarkable designers like these. The following conversation covered a lot of territory and real world scenarios about this very subject. Here are just a few of the concepts we discussed: Recovered time no longer spent on meal prep Convenience through remote activation Automated cooking for meal perfection Reduced upkeep App management Decorative advancements Efficiency Increased air and water quality Minimized need for tools Simplified education for full and maximized use Minimized food waste In appliance cameras for off-site reference Fully customizable space for design approval And you are going to hear from some amazing creatives starting with Lynnelle Bryant of Masbuild Design Solutions, right after this. Energy transitions in line with climate targets are often framed as largely technological challenges. But decarbonisation processes are affecting all aspects of human life. How can they best be managed, especially in regions that are still heavily dependent on fossil fuels? In this lecture, Professor Ricardo Garcia Mira (Professor of Social Psychology at the University of A Coruna, Spain) joins us to discuss the social aspects of the clean energy transition in Europe. This event took place on 16 May 2023. It forms part of the IPR's 'Polycrisis!' lecture series.
Across the country, a movement of so called progressive prosecutors has become a focal point of political commentary around the criminal legal system. Today, Hunter spoke with three Chief Public Defenders, Mano Raju, Keisha Hudson, and Ricardo Garcia to discuss their observations and perspectives dealing with these progressive prosecutors. For each of the guests and Hunter, there is a universal agreement that this movement is directionally a massive improvement over old school tough on crime prosecutors, but we also acknowledge there are severe limitations on what they can do. From the recall of Chesa Boudin to the massive pushback against Larry Krasner and George Gascon, the politics of crime make it challenging for this DAs to reach all of their lofty promises. More than 100 years ago, the first Public Defender Office opened in LA County thanks to the dedication and hard work of Clara Foltz. From that point on, the office grew into the largest office in the country. Today's guest, Ricardo Garcia, is the current Chief Public Defender of the Office and responsible for figuring out how to unlock the potential of the office. On top of the massive geographic and population challenges of providing Public Defense to LA County, Ricardo must also battle with the well organized and funded police and prosecutorial machine in LA County and California writ large. To fully unlock the potential power of the office, Ricardo hopes empowered supervisors will be able to better engage with the media and local communities. In doing so, Ricardo hopes the community will then apply the pressure necessary to force political change. In this episode, I will have a conversation with two guest experts from Red Hat, Ricardo Garcia and Markus Koch. Automation has become a key feature in current IT organizations. Software technology End User demand is constantly increasing driven by changing market conditions and the democratization of IT. IT organizations must react faster and more flexibly with limited resources as they tend to IT infrastructure requirements. Automation helps to reproduce complete software deployments and system configurations much faster with considerable error reductions. Red Hat's Ansible Automation Platform allows for the administration of the entire lifecycle of RHEL servers such as patching, security fixes, subscriptions, Red Hat Insights, and the SaaS that makes sure that all the RHEL hosts are compliant with Red Hat's and other vendors' recommendations (like SAP) based on their respective customers policies. Red Hat's Ansible technology can be an effective solution that can help SAP Basis Administrators manage automation workflows across multiple SAP Software solutions.
#028 - Welcome to another episode of Bounty Hunter, where we believe that contributing to a DAO is the best way to find engaging and rewarding work in the new Web3 economy. In today's show, I spoke with Ricardo Garcia-Amaya, Governance committee member at Orange DAO (a DAO for Y Combinator alumni), and Founder of ILUMA (an AI operating system for DAOs built to improve onboarding and contributor participation — that's backed by Orange DAO). We discussed: the types of projects Orange DAO is looking to invest in, how Orange DAO makes investment decisions, where AI belongs in DAO onboarding (and where it doesn't), and how to overcome imposter syndrome in Web3. ======================= Resources:

Part 2 of my interview with Julie Gunn. We start with some more lovely music from Ricardo and then Julie tells a funny story about accosting a hip-hop street dancer on the streets of San Francisco. She then explains about their fabulous workshops for children and institutions which started in New Jersey and then they took them all over Africa and shares about the benefits of clapping. There was another funny story about one particular prison and how the big burly prison guards took to Flamenco. Plus, what does tree-planting have to do with Flamenco dancing? I end with Julie singing a couple of songs with Ricardo from a concert they performed at my house while they were staying. www.ricardogarciaguitarist.com
www. Gradualmente, o Streaming substitui a Televisão Linear, o Podcast Online a Rádio Tradicional, e as Plataformas Online e Redes sociais o Jornal de papel. Utopia? Distopia? Ou…?

From female plumbers with hilarious names to accosting hip hop dancers on the streets, Julie has been one of my most interesting guests so far. At the end, Ricardo treats us to some beautiful guitar.

A child being diagnosed with cancer does not inspire hope – not for themselves, and not for others. But this family is flipping the script, and turning a tragic situation into a tool for hope. No parent ever wants to hear the diagnosis that their child has cancer. It was shocking for the Garcia family. At first they shut down, but it wasn’t long before they decided to not only fight for themselves, but for kids and parents all around the world. The result? The Richi Foundation. On this podcast, we sit down with the president and co-founder of the organization, Ricardo Garcia. He opens up about his most vulnerable moments and why he’s on a mission to create smiles and bright futures for young patients. The Mission: To ensure that all children who suffer from cancer have the best prognosis and quality of life. The Richi Childhood Cancer Foundation is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization. The Richi Childhood Cancer Foundation funds various childhood cancer research initiatives through the Richi Research Project and the Richi House Project, which funds programs to help alleviate the physical, emotional, and social strain that childhood cancer puts on patients and their families. We have international projects too: The Richi Fellows and the Richi Foundation Brain Tumor Clinic. http://www.richifoundation.org/eng#home
