What do you need to build a website? You'll need the following three things to start your WordPress site.• A domain name – this is the name of your website such as google.com• WordPress hosting – this is where your website files are stored.• A few hours of undivided attentionHow much does a WordPress website cost? The answer to this question really depends on what kind of website you are trying to build. A typical business website can cost as low as a few hundred dollars to get started and then about $100 per year for the hosting and can go as high as tens of thousands of dollars per year. Why the huge difference? Because there's a mountain of things your website COULD do but for 99% of people starting out, probably won't. If you want to have:• SEO• Lead magnets• Email marketing• Sales funnels• Pop-ups to help build the email list• Professional copywritingJust to name a few, then you can expect to pay many thousands of dollars for website design and development. And yes, there is a difference. I recommend that you start small and then add more features to your website as your business grows. This way you won't spend money on things that aren't necessary for you right now. Later, maybe and we can get to that some other time. I'll explain how to get you started and to add in more functionality as needed so you can do this on your own. Which is the best website platform? There are many website hosting platforms in the world today. Currently, I recommend 2 main providers. Bluehost and Siteground. They're both self-hosting sites for WordPress as your website platform.Bluehost to get you started on a low budget hosting account and if money allows for having a faster hosting provider then I recommend going to Siteground. The speed of my website drastically increased when I made the switch.  WordPress is the most popular website platform in the world. It powers nearly 28% of all websites on the internet.WordPress is free and comes with thousands of website designs and extensions. It is extremely flexible and works with almost every third-party tool and service available to website owners.Once you create an account with whatever hosting provider you choose, you'll have to do a few things afterward to get you going. • Register a domain name• Register for a hosting account• Install WordPress• Install some pluginsPersonal brand business or Podcast launch coaching: www.tomclairmont.com/coachingDo you want to start your own Podcast?
