Time just flies! It feels like yesterday we wrapped 2023, and we are already at that time of the year again, with a 2024 warp-up! 2024 was a bit different than previous years, as we had only one themed series, and the rest of the episodes were a one-off, covering a variety of topics. And, early in the year, we also celebrated the 100th episode, in a live 2-hours show, that introduced many of the guest from the previous 3 years of podcasting. In our themed series we covered Session Replay products. This seris was very informtive and can prove to be a valuable tool for product managers. We continued this year covering great books for product people, and several frameworks and mindsets. Some of our guests shared with us methods to craft our products' story, naming our products, and what goes into making decisions. Product Coaching grew steadily this year and was the topic of several episodes. We learned what it takes to be a product professional to build IoT products, and we caught up on the state of Product Analytics products. And of course, we couldn't ignore AI and GenAI and how they help us - or the potential they can have in helping us. Finally, we introduce a startup product that help product people in a unique way.We would like to thank each and every guest that came on the show! We couldn't have done it without you: Tovit Neizer, Orly Zeewy, Gil Broza, Jakie Flake, Marty Cagan, Eva Hongyan Gao, Yelena Liman, Oz Nazilli, Dave Martin, Henry Latham, Ricardo Vital, David Pereira, Dennis Chow, Anat Eldar, Vincent Pavero, Mandar Karlekar, John Fontenot, Zach Phillips, Nikki Zavadska, Christoph Steinlehner, Assaph Mehr, Phil Hornby, Aakash Gupta and Tedde van Gelderen. We can't wait to continue this journey next year!We have some great episodes planned, and looking forward to learning and sharing more in the Product for Product Podcast!Happy New Year everyone! In this episode, Matt and Moshe met to wrap up the Session Replay Tools series, and share what they learned after discussing several products. In the series we learned about PostHog from Vincent Pavero, FullStory from Mandar Karlekar, HotJar from John Fontenot, and LogRocket from Zach Phillips and Nikki Zavadska. As we usually do in the summary episode, we looked back at our learning throughout the series, and sure there were many!Reflecting back on past product serieses we had, some of the themes came back also in this one, such as choosing a product that goes deep into one area and does if very well, verses choosing a product that does many different things and has a wide array of features, all integrated with each other, but might not go as deep into some of them. It is interesting to see how companies have either started in Session Replay and added other capabilities over time, and others that started in other areas such as Product Analytics, and added Session Replay more lately.Join us on the episode as we further discuss:Use cases throughout the organization Technology used to record the sessionsInsights from many sessions rather than one at a timeChoosing the right one for you based on your needsHow security is handled and the importance of having several approaches to it The emerging trends in AI and these productsAnd much more!Thank you to our guests in this series for sharing with us their experiences! We continue our Session Replay series with the next product, LogRocket. To learn all about it, we had the pleasure to speak with two guests - Zach Phillips, Senior Product Analyst, and Nikki Zavadska, Lead Product Manager Growth, both at Appfire. Their perspectives were complimentary so we decide, why not? Let's talk with both! Zach is essentially in the product operations area of Appfire, and his team helps implementing LogRocket for the other teams that build products. Nikki is a growth product manager working on one of these teams, so she has first hand experience with some interesting use cases. As a company that build many apps that are sold on 3rd party app store, such as Atlassian and Salesforce, Appfire needed flexibility and control in their session replay platform that they were able to find with LogRocket. It is always interesting for us to learn new use cases and have aha moments on the show, and this one came to us when Nikki shared an interesting case, where she couldn't have find the cause for rage clicks without the usage of the session replay tool. Join us as we explore LogRocket with Zack and Nikki: Why they chose it over other products * How long it takes to implement * Use cases where they use session replay * The benefits of using LogRocket compared with other product analytics tools * How the engineers are using it too * How it handles security and compliance * Other features available in LogRocket and who uses them * Features they love and those that could be improved Using LogRocket to inform the direction of growth experiments * How to justify to the business to get the product * How many electric guitars does Zach own? * And so much more… To learn more about LogRocket:https://www.LogRocket.com * Connect with Zach: LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/wz... * Connect with Nikki: LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/ni... The first product we cover in the Session Replay series is PostHog. To learn about it, we invited Vincent Pavero, Co-Founder, CEO at Homeric and Product Coach & Advisor at Vincent.pm. PostHog is the first open source product we are covering on the podcast, which is an interesting point in itself, and we wondered aloud on the show why there aren't more open source products for product people. PostHog is not just a Session Replay platform, as it also supports product analytics, surveys, feature flags, A/B testing and more! Vincent loves it for this reason, as he has replaced 7 tools that he used previously by PostHog!We did focus our discussion on the show on Session Replay, and its strengths in PostHog. This includes the basic features: access and playback of user's sessions, filter to find sessions, anonymous vs signed in users, skipping inactivity periods, overlay with features, heat map, rich-click detector, a band on the screen to show where they go lowest, sharing and exporting recordings, etc. Being geared mainly to product engineers, PostHog has additional features such as an inspector to see what happens in the browser (front end), and all the code that the browser is interacting with the back end.Join us as we explore with Vincent:How did he get to product Reasons to use a product like PostHog, and specifically session replayProduct analytics that goes beyond session recordingsThe pros and cons of using an open source product in our sectorSecurity measures for sensitive data Can AI create value in session replay? The importance of simplicity and consistencyPostHog perspective on their role in helping users analyze their product data Areas that can be improved in PostHog Deep understanding by PostHog of their users, as evident in their website and all documentation materials And so much more…To learn more about PostHog:https://posthog.com/ Connect with Vincent:LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/vincentpavero/ Product coaching website: https://vincent.pm/ Homeric: https://homeric.ai Connect with Matt and Moshe on LinkedIn:Matt GreenMoshe MikanovskyNote: any views mentioned in the podcast are the sole views of our hosts and guests, and do not represent the products mentioned in any way. Please leave us a review and feedback ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hosted by Simone Roach A wave of consumers have filed putative class action complaints against a long list of consumer-facing website owners/operators and their software providers alleging invasion of privacy rights under statutes focused on wiretapping and eavesdropping. Our team has represented both website and software defendants in these cases. However, this post is not intended to reflect on any specific claim, website, or software. Rather, our goal is to provide an introduction to the general nature of the consumer claims and current landscape of these litigations. This post summarizes (1) the “session replay” technology at issue in these claims; (2) arguments presented by the Complaints; (3) an overview of common defenses; and (4) where things stand. With that context, we then provide our list of practical considerations for the use of session replay software. Last year, I attended the Dynatrace Perform event in Las Vegas and interviewed their CEO John Van Siclen. This year Dynatrace has made several announcements aimed at helping organizations overcome existing challenges with IT complexity and transform faster to meet today's business needs. Steve Tack, SVP, Product Management, joins me on the Tech Talks Daily podcast to talk bout some of the big news coming out of the event. We talk about the Infrastructure monitoring enhancements, and by expanding its automatic and intelligent observability with native log support for Kubernetes and multicloud environments, Dynatrace is enabling teams to drive faster innovation. I learn more about the Dynatrace Software Intelligence Hub and how within just a few clicks, Dynatrace customers can access an ecosystem of 500+ technologies from leading providers including AWS, and Google, enabling them to build and manage customer Dynatrace extensions without additional code. We also discuss the extension of Session Replay and business analytics to native-mobile applications, and now organizations in even the most highly regulated industries – financial services, health care, government – can optimize mobile app performance, feature adoption, and conversions. Steve shares more details about the Cloud Automation Module and how the new module enables DevOps and SRE teams to automate operations and continuous delivery processes to deliver higher-quality cloud-native apps faster and with less risk. Finally, I learn more about how they are broadening application security coverage with enhancements that will empower DevSecOps teams to make more informed decisions. With almost 20 years of experience in software support, engineering, and product management, he's just as comfortable with performance technologies as he is with competitive cycling. His broad business consulting and market development expertise bring a relentless customer focus to the product organization. As he teaches the kids on his lacrosse and soccer teams, speed is important―but it takes clear strategies and endurance, and velocity to win the game. He brings them all together for Dynatrace.

Users do not use web applications in the way that you might expect. And it is not easy to get the data that is necessary to get a full picture. But a newer API within browsers does make this more possible by capturing DOM mutations. The change capture of these DOM mutations can be stored for replay in the future. After being stored, this change capture can be retrieved and replayed. That allows for comprehensive frontend monitoring, which has been built into a product called FullStory.Michael Morrissey is the CTO of FullStory, and he joins the show to talk about how session capture works, and the architecture of FullStory–how sessions get saved, stored and retrieved. In a previous show we talked about LogRocket, a product which does something similar.

Let’s face the truth. Regardless of what your trading strategy is, large changes in price movement, price cycles, implied volatility, and news will often create profound differences in the way any given trading strategy performs. Meaning all strategies will experience variable results through time. Unless, of course, we take the market situation into account and make the appropriate changes to our strategy when those market shifts occur. Therefore, to achieve greater consistency in results, you will want to pay attention to what’s happening in the market. That is why we created the Market Outlook sessions! Take a look as we go through our process of looking at the major indexes. We’ll look at price movement, implied volatility movement, news, and how they relate to one another. We’ll discuss how the price movement should react and set up if/then ladders discussing where we should consider shifting our opinions as new information comes into the marketplace, as well as how the current situation affects the probability of various types of trading strategies. We are excited to give traders the opportunity to experience the information contained in this Market Outlook session that our members receive each week. This week on the pod, we chatted with Elyse Bogacz, who has worked on product on Drift, Runkeeper, and now NDVR. She walked us through how she uses session replay tools like FullStory to supercharge her user research. She talked about how she shares replays with developers and stakeholders, how she deals with privacy issues, and how other teams can use session replay tools to add to their user research programs. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/awkwardsilences/message

No boundaries: Exfiltration of personal data by session-replay scripts [122] appeared first on Low Battery.
