Welcome back to the show and thank you for listening! Thank you for listening. You know, I haven't really thanked people for listening in a long time. It's probably because I haven't been recording a lot of podcasts. And I just assume that people aren't listening, but I want to thank you for showing up today.   Today, I felt compelled to address a topic that might resonate with many of you—fears that job seekers over 50 often share with me. While I typically focus on offering solutions, this episode is more about acknowledging and exploring those fears to help you feel less alone. Sometimes, simply hearing that others share your concerns can be more valuable than receiving advice. But, since I always like to give solutions, I'll certainly offer some ideas and solutions. But in a way, I almost feel like it's more important for you to hear the fears and concerns that people have, because I think you may be feeling some of these same fears and concerns. I want to boil them down to the ones that are most prevalent. The ones I hear about the most. So, number one will be age. I mean, that's kind of an obvious one, but number two will be gap in employment that comes up a lot. Number three would be outdated skills. Number four kind of the opposite. And that would be people who feel overqualified when all they really want is kind of an easier job. And then the last one would be having to take a pay cut or having their pay impacted in some wayMaybe you related to some of these, maybe you have your own. And if you do go ahead and just email us. There's a link here in the show notes.hello@camilleattell.comAnd you can just put in the title, My Fear. How about that? You can let us know what your fear is, and we'll address it; we'll talk about it. If it's similar to these or different or something specific, let us know. We're always really curious and we always have some really helpful tips and strategies and resources for you. In this episode of the Help Me Understand podcast, JK shares tips and advice on the topic of gym (weight room) . Listen in as he explores the common fears and challenges faced by individuals when entering a gym environment. He shares personal experiences and practical tips to help listeners work with feelings of intimidation, emphasizing the importance of preparation, being focused on yourself, and asking for help. Discussion points: Gym intimidation is a common experience for many individuals. Understanding the layout of the gym can help ease anxiety. Fear of judgment often stems from personal insecurities. It's important to remember that everyone was a beginner at some point. Walking into the gym with a plan can alleviate uncertainty. Asking gym staff for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. The gym culture is generally supportive and collaborative. Comparisons to others can lead to self-doubt; focus on your own journey. Personal experiences can shape our perceptions of gym environments. Building confidence takes time and practice in the gym. ---- 06:06 Common Fears in the Gym 18:13 Feeling Out of Place in the Gym 23:50 Lack of Knowledge and Uncertainty 30:49 Comparisons and Self-Doubt 38:50 Personal Experiences and Reflections --- Connect with JK on Instagram: @coachjkmcleod Email JK: jk@themusclefeed.com Join JK's weekly email list: subscribe here Check out Feed Your Habits* apparel here (code: JKFYH for 10% off) *available in the US only at this time

Process Your Past for Peace in the Present with EMDREye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a psychotherapeutic approach designed to help process past traumatic events. Developed by Francine Shapiro in the late 1980s, EMDR involves recalling distressing experiences while simultaneously undergoing bilateral stimulation, such as guided eye movements, tapping, or auditory tones. This dual attention process helps to desensitize and reprocess the traumatic memory, transforming it from a vivid, emotionally charged recollection to a more neutral and manageable story. EMDR is grounded in the concept that trauma disrupts the brain's natural information processing, and by re-engaging this process, we can achieve significant emotional and psychological healing. In this episode, we talk about EMDR and how it can help you process past traumatic events, remove obstacles, and reclaim your healing with Jen Baumgold. Jen is a licensed clinical social worker and psychotherapist who specializes in trauma treatment. She is certified in EMDR and works with clients to help untangle the knots of trauma while finding a path toward healing and resilience. After graduating with her master's in social work, Jen began her career at the New York Fire Department counseling service unit, where she worked until 2016. In an obvious nod to Halloween, I thought it was a great time to revisit one of my most popular episodes.  So today, let's take another look at the 7 most common fears that healers tend to face in private practice.  Although we all want what's best for our clients, we are often shamed or judged when we want what's best for ourselves. That sets us up for all kinds of internal conflict,  and that can block our success.  On the other hand, when we find our way through and beyond those fears, real freedom is on the other side.  So that's what we're diving into today.  Which one (or three) of these do you relate to the most?  Send me an email at wendy@wendypittsreeves.com and let me know. I promise to respond personally, and I'd love to hear!  ~Wendy   Xoxo  P.S.
