Streamed live on Feb 14, 2023 #paramahansayogananda #YSS #Yogananda It is easy to feel overwhelmed by the stress and pressures of everyday life and become distracted in our divine pursuit by the expectations placed upon us by others and society. But we already have within us the all-solacing peace, wisdom, and intoxicating happiness. All one needs to do to tap into this hidden wellspring is to cultivate a daily meditation practice following the scientific and universal path of yoga taught by Paramahansa Yogananda. This talk is given by Self-Realization Fellowship sannyasi Swami Kamalananda Giri. This video is part of the 2023 Sangam with YSS/SRF President, a five-day programme of spiritual renewal and upliftment which includes inspirational talks based on Paramahansa Yoganandaji's “how-to-live” teachings, online group meditations, kirtans (devotional chanting), and more. We are to learn from every event—so there is no such thing as a mistake. But yogis especially must learn constantly from the Inner Source, as well as from karma, dreams, physical symptoms, synchronicities, books and digital media—we must learn to stay accurately in line with the Dao, with the will of God, with the call of the Heart. At this moment, negative events are happening for everyone nearly all the time. Dark forces are dominant (even in our own egos), but even the shadow powers are feeling the effects of the law of karma. They, too, exist to motivate us to return to God-consciousness. We must graciously accept our karma with detachment and faith, and keep aligned with divine love and forgiveness. All is perfect.
Doch was bedeutet dies eigentlich? Today I'm joined by Lisa of the beautiful platform the Bare Female, whose work is rooted in Yoga, somatics and feminine embodiment. I am a massive fan of her membership and her Yoga work in general, so you can image how excited I am to share this episode with you! In this episode, Lisa & I talk about: 1. What feminine embodiment & sensual Yoga actually mean - and how simple that gets to be (!) 2. What it's like building a business and brand around something that can be a little 'out there' 3. The importance of returning to your inner knowing - and how Lisa has done that throughout her own life It's continues to blow my mind (even though it's happened a fair few times on this pod and within our community already!) that so many of us walk such a similar, inspiring path of life - and that we can be very no-BS about our spirituality & empowerment. I hope you can appreciate that from our conversation too! ~ Find out more about Lisa's offerings (thebarefemale.com) and follow her on Instagram (@the.bare.female) ~ Let's hang out on Instagram (@thespiritualfem), send me an email with your thoughts (hello@thespiritualfeminist.com) and click around on the website for all the current offerings ~ The Spiritual Feminist is an online platform and a welcoming space for women who'd like to dive deeper into spirituality and female empowerment. This podcast is about exploring a deeper connection within ourselves and with everything around us. ~ Nothing is missing, you are already whole. Everything you need, you already carry within you.
Oct 1, 2020 #ParamahansaYogananda #SRF #Guru A talk given at the 1993 SRF World Convocation in Los Angeles as part of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of Paramahansa Yogananda's birth. Sri Daya Mata was the president of Self-Realization Fellowship/Yogoda Satsanga Society of India from 1955 until her passing in 2010. In this talk Daya Mata explains that Paramahansaji was sent to the West to address humanity's hunger for direct personal experience of God. She provides insight into the deep underlying reasons for the current difficulties in the world situation, along with uplifting counsel to help us to connect with the Inner Source of security and reassurance. She says: “We must change. That was the message of Master [Paramahansa Yogananda]; that is why this work will grow on and on and on—because it can and will help people to change. “Afflicted by suffering, people say: ‘Why did God do this to me?' He didn't do it to us. We must take responsibility for ourselves. When we hit a stone wall, the wall doesn't mean to hurt us; but we may break our knuckles, or our head! This is what we must learn. “That is why God created divine laws and set them forth as guidelines in all the great religions of the world. To each of us He is saying, ‘My child, these are the absolutes you must follow.' He knew that we were weak; He knew that we were frail. He knew we had lost contact with Him by our becoming too much immersed in this material world. Those laws are there to help us know when we are doing wrong. We must not go against those ancient divine principles.” In his #HowToLive teachings, Paramahansa Yogananda has given to people of all cultures, races, and creeds the means to free themselves from physical, mental, and spiritual inharmonies — to create for themselves a life of enduring happiness and all-round success. Dave McKinstry. Dave is a Director at GitHub helping to drive the FastTrack program. Prior to GitHub, he worked as a Program Manager with the Azure DevOps Services Community Team — connecting with partners and customers, spreading modern practices, and helping developers succeed with DevOps and Azure. Prior to his position at Microsoft, he has been in software services and technical sales for over 30 years. As a consultant, principal consultant, co-owner, and manager, he has always helped people efficiently build better software. He loves what he does as a technologist and enjoys being a part of today's rapid technology evolution. Topics of Discussion: [3:05] Dave talks about getting into consulting, and then finding his way to Azure DevOps before joining Microsoft, and ultimately GitHub. [4:27] What is the difference between Microsoft and GitHub? How do they do things differently? [7:57] The evolution of DevOps and how it has evolved over time from the start to now. [9:53] Why DevSecOps is redundant. Security has to be part of everything we do. So security is every engineer and every product owner. For anyone working in your company, security is part of their job. [11:00] Dave discusses Inner Source. [15:05] Having cultural trust is extremely important. Can you trust the people that you have working for you to do the best work they can for your organization? If the answer is no, there are probably other problems, other things to worry about. [16:08] You can see the code of anything external that's been shared, but there are a lot of organizations with multiple software teams who just don't automatically give their own employees even read access to the repositories of the other team. [21:50] Microsoft has kind of done some things to strengthen GitHub, like hosted build agents and others, and then GitHub does things that strengthen Microsoft. [30:05] Where does Dave think the industry is headed in the future? [31:51] Regardless of how big the company is, developers should be better empowered. [32:03] Plug for GitHub Universe. In this episode, I interview Capri Kurtz on her experience into motherhood. After struggling with painful periods for many years, Capri made some significant lifestyle and dietary changes, and began receiving regular acupuncture treatments. Making these changes and incorporating acupuncture also helped her to conceive her first child. Her first babe was born at home unassisted (accidentally), when her midwife didn't arrive in time. Inner Source nutzt Open-Source-Methoden für die Entwicklung von Software innerhalb eines Unternehmens. Auf den ersten Blick scheinen Entwickler:innen so nur einfach Code teilen zu können, aber es hat weitreichende Konsequenzen und kann dazu dienen, Silos in Unternehmen einzureißen und so die Organisation zu verbessern. Prof. Dirk Riehles forscht in diesem Bereich und wird berichten, wie Inner Source in der Praxis funktionieren kann. Healing from toxic abuse begins with learning the signs and manipulative tactics used by toxic people. As a licensed clinical mental health therapist who has helped hundreds of people, and more importantly as someone who has lived through it, I want to help you heal from the multiple side effects of being involved with someone who uses destructive, manipulative tactics. Many people needlessly suffer from symptoms without realizing the core source of despair, which is insidious, damaging and often well disguised toxic abuse. Whether the abuse is currently taking place or has happened in the past, the result is deeply rooted trauma to the psyche. Once the toxins are recognized, processed and removed, every area of life improves, making way for loving energy to return so living can be experienced in full color and harmony.

We’re going to get practical today as I’m sharing with you a little exercise that will help you to rise above fear and connect with your inner source of peace. We all need some of that now, right? The world situation, as we navigate the coronavirus pandemic, is throwing up huge amounts of fear, uncertainty, discouragement and anxiety. It’s just weird right now, don’t you think? We’re all doing what we can to stay safe and sane, to keep a lid on the fear and to keep up our morale. And I don’t know about you, but I am finding I need to make an extra effort these days. My usual routine and practices just aren’t cutting it. It’s like there’s this low-level anxiety going on in the background, sapping our energy and focus. All of this fear and worry is irritating to our energy system, effectively lowering our immunity, and that is definitely not what we need right now!We need to stay strong and to cultivate equanimity, and that will help us to be positive and navigate this world crisis with much more ease. The good news is that this option is always available to us, as today I’m talking about connecting with our inner source of peace, wisdom, love and joy. I’m talking about consciously connecting with our soul.In this episode:Why the soul is not that bothered about earthly goings-on.How the soul anchors itself in the body to give us life. Why we need to strengthen our connection with the soul. What the soul is waiting for us to do.The makeup of our integrated being. The sublime moment of joy for the soul.An explanation of genius and child prodigies. The career counselling of the future.A short guided meditation to lead you from fear to peace and equanimity.

Open source. Inner source. How do the two compare? Peggy Smedley discusses the two. She says some smaller open-source projects do not do thorough security vetting and she asks: what if shared responsibility is keeping us from really being diligent about security? She continues that inner source has benefits such as adding transparency and making code better. In the end, she explains we need to create an open culture in which employees are invited to take part in processes and decisions.
