For at least nine months in the twelve, the people of this rare old town live out of doors nearly all the waking hours of the twenty-four. For the remaining three months of the year, December, January, and February, they delude themselves into the notion that they are having a winter, when they gather around a winter-time hearth and listen to imaginary wind-roarings in the chimney, and see through the panes fictitious and spectral snow-storms, and dream that they are housed so snug and warm. But when the day comes the sun is shining and there is no trace of white on the ground, and the grass is green and there are industrious buds breaking out of cover, and the earth is sleeping very lightly. Open-eyed, the youngsters sit by these December firesides and listen to their elders tell of the snow-storms in the long ago that came so very, very deep, when snowballs were flying in the streets, and the earth was white, and the 'banquettes,' or sidewalks, were ankle-deep in slush. Who Is Luc Lake, Anyway, and Why Am I Talking About Him?Luc Lake is one of my created artists, and his life is shrouded in mystery. No one at my studio knows where he lives, where he comes from, or where he goes after a recording session. His latest album, Larger Earth, comes with a disclaimer:āWe, at IneliaRecords.com, will neither confirm nor deny that Luc Lake is from the Larger Earth, the stars (whether they are a lake or a reality), an ultra-dimension, the future or the past, or a planet with three suns that is not Earth.āWhat we do know is that Luc exists where sound meets perception, using music not to tell stories but to open space. He is not a performance persona or a character designed for spectacle. He is very serious about his work and his message.Luc uses few words and a Tech House expression to convey the energetic states he wants us to experience. His music is minimal, spacious, and emotionally rich without being overwhelming. It leaves room. It doesn't rush meaning or require interpretation.Through Luc Lake, I explore states of awareness that resist explanation but translate clearly into feeling. The tracks are environments you enter and recognize through forgotten knowledge and buried memory.Larger Earth is the first full expression of what the Larger Earth feels like as a place. It is not symbolic. It is not hypothetical. It is not metaphor. It breaks from the known continents and from the shadow of illusion that has shaped how we have been taught to understand Earth. The album was not created to describe a future or propose an idea, but to reflect something many people already sense quietly: that Earth, as lived, is more layered, intelligent, and expansive than the version we were taught to believe exists. In this work, Luc normalizes what might otherwise seem fanciful. He opens doors to perception without telling us what is behind them. It is up to us to open those doors and walk through, or at least peek through the keyhole. There is a moment many people recognize but rarely talk about.Nothing dramatic happens. No vision. No collapse. No revelation scene. You are standing in your kitchen, walking down a familiar street, answering emails, and suddenly the world feels bigger and radically different. Not louder. Not brighter. Just wider. As if reality has more rooms than you were previously allowed to enter. Time stretches, or sometimes collapses, and suddenly several hours have passed.Luc Lake's album Larger Earth was created to bring clarity to that moment. Not another world. This one, perceived differently. The lyrics on Larger Earth are intentionally spare. They do not tell stories in the usual way, and they do not explain themselves. This is not because something is missing. It is because Luc is not trying to convince you of anything. He is pointing to something you already sense. Something you already know.In real-life terms, the album is not about leaving Earth or escaping human experience. It is about what Earth reveals itself to be when perception expands beyond the narrow bandwidth we were trained to use.Same planet.More perception. Why the Lyrics Don't Explain ThemselvesI do teach that meaning and understanding often arrive through definition. However, some experiences collapse when they are over-described.I was very tempted to explain every single line in Luc's songs, but doing so would defeat the point. The lyrics are not puzzles to solve; they are coordinates. That said, for those who enjoy exploring inspiration and backstory, I will be revealing some of the sources behind specific descriptions, songs, and lines in the Wisdom Keeper section of our podcast, Driving to the Rez.How to Listen to the AlbumFeel into the music and the lyrics.Let the imagery take you as far as it can.Allow yourself to tap into the remembrance. If you'd like to spend more time with this work, you can download your personal copy of Luc's album at my store, or listen on Spotify here.We also explore the Larger Earth and the role of music in greater depth on our podcast, where these themes continue to unfold through conversation.Enjoy the music, and the memories.IneliaThe discussion doesn't stop here - listen to the full podcast episode for unfiltered insights from Inelia and our panelists. "The Expedition of Hernando de Soto" was written by his companion Luis Hernandez de Biedma. "When we arrived, the queen sent us one of her nieces, in a litter carried by Indians. She sent the governor a present of a necklace of beads, canoes to cross the river with, and gave us half the village to lodge in. The governor opened a large temple built in the woods, in which was buried the chiefs of the country, and took from it a quantity of pearls, amounting to six or seven arrobes, which were spoiled by being buried in the ground. We dug up two Spanish axes, a chaplet of wild olive seed, and some small beads, resembling those we had brought from Spain for the purpose of trading with the Indians. We conjectured they had obtained these things by trading with the companions of Vasquez de Ayllon. The Indians told us the sea was only about thirty leagues distant." This week in Louisiana history. The track channels personal griefāreferencing Key Glock losing Young Dolph and Rod Wave's late uncleāwhile addressing generational tension, leadership for a "lost generation," and industry power dynamics. Lyrics name-drop Tupac Shakur, Malcolm X, and Suge Knight, framing themes of control vs. independence, distrust, and revolutionary gangster wisdom: "This that gangster shit that Malcolm X was preachin' 'bout / That 2Pac was teachin' 'bout."Directed by Cam Grey, the official music video features private jet boarding, backstage tour footage, and emotional visuals, amassing over 6 million views shortly after premiere (now on all streaming platforms as of January 30, 2026)."Feed the Streets" follows October 2025's "Leavin'" and reinforces Rod Wave's winter release pattern with raw, emotional impact. It builds anticipation for Don't Look Down, focused on avoiding self-sabotage and overthinking success post-breakthrough, including a track titled "Redemption."The single arrives amid the Redemption Experience Tour wrap-up under his new Mainstay Touring company (formed after a $27M+ lawsuit dispute with Grizzly Touring over the canceled Last Lap Tour). Final shows: Atlanta's State Farm Arena (Dec 28 & 29, 2025) and Miami's Kaseya Center (Jan 1 & 2, 2026).Analytic Dreamz breaks down the lyrical depth, cultural references, visual storytelling, and how this positions Rod Wave for dominant 2026 momentum in trap-soul.Support this podcast at ā https://redcircle.com/analytic-dreamz-notorious-mass-effect/donationsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

2026 Show Notes Addendum: Our last [for now] Ch 2 rerun (our last Ch 2 rerun specifically shared with incoming NintenDomain listeners in mind in the wake of the recent Ch F "Channel Trey" one-off) This was the first episode of the last season of Ch 2 - the one where we announced to the listeners that Ch 2 would be shutting down, as well as the episode where I revealed my then very recently discovered African and Jewish ancestry. This episode also has the distinction of being my personal favorite episode in Ch 2 history with perhaps the lone exception of the 5 1/2hr long "C2F: 'Finally our Final Finale'" series retrospective. Episode 2.76What makes a worship song goodāand who gets to decide? In this episode, Michael and Zach sit down with Tim Bryant, fellow elder at Charleston Bible Church and worship coordinator, to talk through a thoughtful, pastoral philosophy of worship music. Rather than debating style or preference, the conversation focuses on theological content, spiritual formation, and pastoral responsibility. The discussion tackles questions many churches wrestle with but rarely slow down to address clearly:-What actually makes a worship song good or bad?-Should churches sing exclusively from the Psalms?-Is it acceptable to sing a theologically solid song that comes from a problematic source?-Do church leaders have a responsibility to warn congregations about unfaithful or harmful influences behind certain music?Drawing from Scripture, pastoral experience, and Tim's work in biblical counseling, this episode frames worship music not as neutral background but as teaching, shaping, and discipling content. The goal is not fear or gatekeeping, but wisdomāhelping churches sing in a way that forms hearts, guards doctrine, and honors Christ.Tim also serves as founder and president of the Lowcountry Biblical Counseling Center (lcbcc.org), bringing a unique counseling lens to how repeated lyrics shape belief, emotion, and spiritual health.Find our videocast here: https://youtu.be/DoKzXExynoQMerch here: https://take-2-podcast.printify.me/Music from #Uppbeat (free for Creators!):ā https://uppbeat.io/t/reakt-music/deep-stoneā License code: 2QZOZ2YHZ5UTE7C8Find more Take 2 Theology content at http://www.take2theology.com

For what came of those balls but heartache, and a sickening disinclination for work the whole week through, till Saturday night came again and his tortures began afresh? Why could he not love OzĆ©ina, who would marry him to-morrow; or Fronie, or any one of a dozen others, rather than that little Spanish vixen? YoutubeSpotifyhttps://supportandfeed.org/BioRising pop-rock artist and multi-talented producer Ed Keiser returns with his new single, āForeign Land,ā a deeply personal and emotionally rich follow-up to his debut release, āYou Are Not Alone.ā Known for blending reflective storytelling with melodic, immersive production, Keiser once again invites listeners into a vulnerable and honest space shaped by resilience, love, and the human experience. āForeign Landā expands on the themes first introduced in You Are Not Alone, a song Keiser released to encourage individuals facing loneliness, grief, or difficult circumstances. The debut track resonated widely not only for its message, but also for Keiser's commitment to donate 100 percent of its earnings to Support+Feed and Feeding America. With this new release, he continues building a catalog rooted in empathy, connection, and emotional truth. While You Are Not Alone served as an offering of comfort to those suffering in isolation, Foreign Land turns inward. Written as a dialogue between two lovers navigating trauma, the song was inspired by a painful chapter Keiser and his wife endured together. The verses unfold like a script, capturing an intimate back-and-forth that moves from confusion and fear toward clarity, faith, and renewal. āThe song is a conversation between my wife and me,ā Keiser explains. āWe were going through a very trying time and still finding our way out of it. I wrote the song as an expression for both of us a way to look toward the future with hope. It was my way of helping us breathe again.ā Across its four verses, Foreign Land explores uncertainty, spiritual questioning, and the emotional weight of hardship. Lyrics such as āWhen the pain is so strong, we question why the world is wrong?!ā capture the rawness of that moment. Yet the song ultimately lifts upward, offering a path toward restoration through lines like āThere will be no pain or fear, only through faith be it clear.ā For Keiser, faith served as a grounding force during the creation of the track, though he emphasizes the song's universal message. āIt is a song of hope,ā he says. āMy faith played a central role, but I didn't want to project my beliefs onto others. I embedded them gently, on purpose. The main theme is simple: hang in thereāit will get better. It's about love, companionship, and overcoming hardship with your partner or loved one, whatever your beliefs may or may not be.ā As both writer and producer, Keiser takes a hands-on approach to his music. Working primarily in Logic Pro, he performs multiple instruments and collaborates with skilled musicians to bring each arrangement to life. His contributions on acoustic guitar, piano, and bass provide a warm foundation, enriched by layered acoustic textures and meticulous production. The track also features acclaimed vocalist and guitarist Jamie Hoover, whose performance adds depth and emotional resonance. With Foreign Land now released, Keiser continues to shape a growing body of work, with plans for a larger project on the horizon. Whether the songs culminate in an EP or full-length album, his goal remains the same: to offer listeners solace, strength, and a reminder that healing is always possible. At the heart of Keiser's work is compassion. To support the approximately 47 million people in the United States experiencing food insecurityāabout 1 in 7 Americans, according to the USDA Keiser has donated 100 percent of the earnings from You Are Not Alone and will continue to donate 100 percent of proceeds from Foreign Land to Support+Feed and Feeding America. Foreign Land is available now on all major streaming platforms, with promotional support from Starlight PR.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/creator-to-creators-with-meosha-bean--4460322/support.

He broke through via features on corridos tumbados tracks (e.g., Ćscar Maydon's āHong Kongā in 2023), often praised on X for outshining collaborators. In 2025, he signed a 360 deal with Rico o Muerto (founded by Ćscar Maydon, partnered with Downtown Artist & Label Services), positioning him as flagship artist alongside collabs with Natanael Cano, AlemĆ”n, Luis R Conriquez, and more. BeatBoy provides bass-heavy, party-oriented trap production with low-visibility underground roots. The explicit track dives into hedonism, nightlife, substances (keta, popper, LSD, nitro), luxury (Mansory Tesla, Johnny Dang diamonds), sex, and street bravado with aggressive, raw delivery tailored to Mexican urbano/trap scenes. Lyrics emphasize āpuro pase y toqueā repetition, blending braggadocio and party energy without mainstream polish. No music video, radio airplay, or major chart entries (Billboard Hot 100, Hot Latin Songs absent as of January 2026). Growth relies on Spotify/Apple Music streams, fan-made playlists (some with thousands of saves), and niche X/TikTok buzz in Latino communities. Pre-release āfiltradaā versions sparked discussion, but explicit content caps algorithmic/radio push.Analytic Dreamz analyzes its niche traction: limited editorial support, no visuals or viral catalysts yet, but tied to Mendivil's rising street credibility post-Rico o Muerto signing. Upside hinges on label investment, potential TikTok uptake in Mexican subcultures, or future remixesāpositioning it as early momentum for an emerging Mexican rap voice rather than immediate breakout.Join Analytic Dreamz for this no-fluff, data-driven look at an authentic underground release reinforcing Victor Mendivil's ascent in 2025-2026 urbano rap. 660. Today we're joined by writer and cultural historian Brian Fairbanks, author of āWizards: David Duke, America's Wildest Election, and the Rise of the Far Right.ā In this book, Fairbanks delivers a vivid account of David Duke's 1991 run for governor of Louisiana ā a campaign that shocked the country and revealed how extremist politics could slip into the mainstream. Through sharp reporting and a storyteller's eye, he reconstructs the chaos, the media frenzy, and the deeper social tensions that made that election a turning point in modern American politics. Fairbanks brings that same clarity to a very different American saga in āWillie, Waylon, and the Boys: How Nashville Outsiders Changed Country Music.ā Here he traces the rise of the outlaw movement, showing how Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, and their circle pushed back against Nashville's rigid studio system and reshaped the sound and soul of country music. He explores the rebellion, the artistry, and the cultural moment that allowed these musicians to redefine authenticity and leave a lasting imprint on American music. Beyond these two major works, Brian Fairbanks has built a reputation as a writer who connects individual stories to the larger forces shaping American life. Heloise Hulse Cruzat wrote an article on the history of the Ursuline Nuns in New Orleans. Ā Ā Ā Ā You have been told in eloquent periods of the founding of New Orleans, of its subsequent development, and I am to be the humble interpreter of another intimate chapter of its history: THE SHARE WOMEN TOOK IN ITS ESTABLISHMENT. Ā Ā Ā Ā Can we mention the French colonial days without recalling the URSULINES, who by their unfaltering courage and their steady and efficient work, incorporated their history into that of our fair city. Ā Ā Ā Ā Bienville realized that New Orleans would never attain his dream of greatness without education, and especially such an education of the female youth as would give worthy wives and mothers to the colonists. With this end in view, he intrusted to the Jesuit, Father de Beaubois, the care of choosing these educators. How successfully this mission was accomplished by his selection of the Ursulines of Rouen, the two past centuries have demonstrated. Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā A contract was signed by the Company of the Indies and the Ursulines, approved by brevet signed by Louis XV, and on February 22nd, 1727, Mother St. Augustin, Tranchepain, with eight professed nuns, a novice and two postulants sailed on the Gironde from L'Orient. āIs it metal? Or is it NOT metal?ā Ā As metalheads, we've all heard some variation of this argument at least once in our lives, and the further down the rabbit hole we go, the more we truly reflect on what makes something obviously metal or obviously NOT metal.Ā Ā āFish teeth is metal as fuckā¦ā Ā What's the lyrical content like? The darker the subject matter, the more metal it is. Lyrics about love and happiness might be considered less metal than lyrics about drugs and wizards, or other more doom and gloom topics. Ā āIf it was distorted as fuck, then it would be metal. But it's not, so it's rock and rollā¦ā Ā How about production? How does it sound? Is it distorted and heavy? Is it really fast or extremely aggressive? More distortion and more speed in the sound equals more metal.Ā Ā āHe's getting high with a wizard, dudeā¦that's pretty metalā¦ā Ā Many of us who grew up with the likes of Ozzy, Dio, and Motley Crue in the early 80's could easily tell when the boundaries started to shift between rock and metal. And of course, those are the easiest artists to reference as they each capture the majority of the traits that inherently make them metal artists: intensity and attitude, darkness and speed, distortion and heaviness. Ā āWhen I think of metal, I think ofā¦Metal Churchā¦ā Ā There are some instances where it's obvious whether or not something is metal (or not), and there are some where it's not quite as cut and dry. 34 Circe Salon -- Make Matriarchy Great Again -- Disrupting History
Kimberly Rockwell, Dawn "Sam" Alden and Lauren Torres talk about the music that shaped their youth. The songs we scream-sang, and those that comforted us when we were heartbroken - did we ever really listen to the lyrics? Music has power to teach, and words set to music stick in our heads. What were we absorbing when we were young, what were we being taught by the music on the radio?

MN employees: "Gov. Tim Walz is 100% responsible for massive fraud." Republican Senator John Kennedy of Louisiana took to the Senate floor to address how it's possible that Somalis in Minnesota were able to defraud taxpayers to the tune of $1 billion, possibly $9 billion, through fake non-profits. KENNEDY: āHere's what the Legislative Auditor in Minnesota said: āThe threat of litigation and the negative press affected how the state politicians use their regulatory power.' āAnd here's what a fraud investigator in the Attorney General's office said: āThere is a perception that forcefully tackling this issue would cause political backlash from the Somali community, which is a core voting block for Democrats.' āOne of the other witnesses in the fraud investigation said, āLook, the 80,000-voting block folks with Somali ancestry, you got to have their votes to win in Minneapolis. And if you're a Democrat, if you can't win Minneapolis, you can't win in the state.' So, the politicians did nothing.ā Senator Kennedy quoted from a social media post in which hundreds of employees of the Minnesota Department of Human Service weighed in. KENNEDY: āDon't just take my word for it, and don't blame the state employees. They tried. In fact, recently the state employees, they just said, āLook, we've had enough.' Several hundred employees from the Minnesota Department of Human Service, who administered this program, they posted this. I'm quoting now. '[Democratic] Governor Tim Walz is 100% responsible for massive fraud in Minnesota. We let Tim Walz know of fraud early on.' That's employees talking, hoping for a partnership and stopping fraud. āBut no, we got the opposite response. Tim Walz systematically retaliated against whistleblowers.'ā Jeremiah 9:6 says, ā'You live in the midst of deception; in their deceit they refuse to acknowledge Me,'ā declares the LORD.ā Additional massive fraud at Somali-run day care centers in Minnesota In a related story, YouTuber Nick Shirley, age 23, has exposed what appears to beĀ massive additional fraud in taxpayer-subsidized, Somali-run day care centers. This has prompted the Department of Health and Human Services to announce that it is derailing the $185-million gravy train.Ā HHS Deputy Secretary Jim O'Neil said on X, āWe have frozen all child care payments to the state of Minnesota,ā reports The Blaze. O'NEIL:ā āIntrepid journalists have made shocking and credible allegations of extensive fraud in Minnesota's child care programs. We believe the state of Minnesota has allowed scammers and fake day cares to siphon millions of taxpayer dollars over the past decade.ā Muslim NYC Mayor sworn in with Quran Incoming New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani took his New Year's Eve oath of office on his grandfather's Quran and a 200-year-old Quaran from the New York Public Library. It marked the first time a New York City mayor used Islam's misguided text to be sworn in, reports the Associated Press. The 34-year-old Democrat became mayor in a long-closed subway station beneath City Hall, the first Muslim, the first South Asian and the first African-born person to hold that position. Most of Mamdani's predecessors were sworn in on a Bible, although the oath to uphold the federal, state, and city constitutions does not require the use of any religious text. In addition, Republican Senator Ted Cruz of Texas has directly labeled Mayor Mamdami a Communist. Ā Posting on X, Cruz wrote, āWhen communists rule, individual rightsāinvariablyāare taken away.ā Listen to the Big Apple Mayor's own words. MAMDAMI: āWe will replace the frigidity of rugged individualism with the warmth of collectivism.ā CT Governor to give $10 million to abortion giant Planned Parenthood Connecticut Democrat Governor Ned Lamont has announced he intends to give $10.4 million of taxpayers' money to Planned Parenthood of Southern New England, in order to compensate for Trump's decision to defund the abortion giant, reports LifeSiteNews.com. The Connecticut MirrorĀ reportedĀ the governor's latest spending proposal, part of $41 million to make up for lost federal funds for a variety of so-called āservices,ā bringing the total committed for that purpose up to almost $168 million. Parents: School cancels Christmas concert over āJesusā lyrics And finally, parents in Fonda, New York are furious after the annual elementary school Christmas concert was canceled. Many suspect it's because a teacher was offended by the name of Jesus, reports Christian talk show host Todd Starnes. Children at Fonda-Fultonville Elementary School had worked very hard to learn songs for the concert.Ā But there was one particular song that caused a bit of controversy. The song is called, āOh, What a Special Nightā and it tells the birth of Christ from the perspective of the animals around the manger scene. At the end of each verse, the children sang, āThank you God for Baby Jesus.ā The school district confirmed that the song was removed from the concert under guidance from their legal department.Ā Shortly after that, the concert was canceled. On Facebook, one parent wrote, āSo tired of this woke culture, where one parent can call in and complain, and ruin it for the entire district.ā Another said, āIt is CHRISTmas. If someone doesn't agree with that, then they don't need to participate, and their parents don't need to attend. ⦠The school has ruined the countless hours of practice the other kids have put in, as well as the joy and excitement they feel when they see their families in the audience. All of that happiness has been taken away.ā Isaiah 9:6 declares, āFor unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given, and the government will be on His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."
