Mike takes a look at the 12 most profitable movies of all times. These extraordinary films prove you don't need a hundred-million-dollar budget to break the box office. He shares how all 12 movies cost about $10 million to make... and they pulled in nearly $1.9 billion from My Big Fat Greek Wedding and Obsession to Rocky and Paranormal Activity. In the Movie Review, Mike talks about The Invite with Seth Rogen, Olivia Wilde, Penélope Cruz, Edward Norton. It’s about a dinner party that spirals into unexpected places when a couple invite their enigmatic neighbors over. Have they reignited the spark in their troubled marriage or lit the match that burns it all down? He talks about the anxiety the movie caused him, the fantastic score and why it’s one of the most absurdly beautiful movies he’s seen this year. In the Trailer Park, Mike blind reacts to Avengers: Doomsday. Which is about heroes from three different worlds must unite when they're thrust together to confront a catastrophic danger that could destroy everything they know. From Doctor Doom's mysterious plan to Thor's long-awaited return as a serious leader, we're diving deep into everything Marvel Studios has shown us and what it could mean for the future of the MCU. Is Steve Rogers really back... or are we looking at an evil multiversal variant? Could an evil Captain America actually wield Mjolnir? What are Incursions, and why are they so important to Marvel Comics and the Multiverse Saga? We answer all of those questions and much more. In This Episode We Discuss: Our full Avengers: Doomsday trailer reaction Doctor Doom's possible motivations and master plan Why Thor finally feels like a true leader again Steve Rogers' shocking appearance Is this the real Captain America or a Variant? We discuss: Clayface's comic book origin Why we're excited about the body horror direction The revenge-driven story How faithful the movie appears to be Why Clayface could become one of DC's biggest surprises Between Avengers: Doomsday and Clayface, comic book fans have a lot to look forward to, and we can't wait to see where both Marvel Studios and DC Studios go next. This Week on the Toy Power Podcast; even though we are Celebrating our 10th Year of Podcasting; we unfortunately exhausted all our energy on the Previous SDCC Reveals & Announcements Ep. So we are giving you a ReIssue episode instead from the Vault. (Originally Posted as Ep #143 - from October 2019). Original blurb: It’s a very special ep as we’re joined by not one, but two of favourite guests in Davey Damaged and Scotty so that’s right – it’s a Homer episode! Trent takes us through a vintage retrospective look at The Addams family by Playmates. Perfectly timed for Halloween, we wonder what could have been with this short-lived line and look to the future of the franchise as a new movie approaches. What characters didn’t get made, which ones make the camera glow and where does MC Hammer fit into it all? We make the jump to Show and Tell as Davey tries to trump us all with a purchase so large, we doubt it will actually fit in his toy room! There’s some DC, MOTU and even Final Fantasy options to choose from. Frank gives a lovely tribute showing that sometimes, the value of a toy; lays in more than its sticker price. Then it’s Quiz time and with Davey onboard, anything is possible. To say this episode goes off the rails is putting it mildly – but on the plus side we learnt that Trent can’t hold his liquor, Ben thinks photos record sound, Space Jam was an event and Rick Moranis is Trent’s muse. So hold on for this crazy ride that also serves as a farewell for one of the team…Support the show: http://patreon.com/toypowerpodcastSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

In this episode of Sketching Up, Chris Schnabel and Matt Tornetta break down the biggest trailers, announcements, and surprises from San Diego Comic-Con 2026.Matt shares his excitement for the new Lanterns trailer, including Hal Jordan, John Stewart, Guy Gardner, Sinestro, and the arrival of the Manhunters. Chris and Matt discuss why the buddy-cop structure could help Lanterns stand apart from traditional superhero projects and whether DC is finally building a stronger, more focused cinematic universe. They also dive into the upcoming Clayface movie, its psychological-horror direction, connections to Batman: The Animated Series, and why superhero projects may need to embrace different genres to overcome audience fatigue. On the Marvel side, Chris and Matt debate the first Avengers: Doomsday trailer, Doctor Doom's limited screen time, the return of familiar heroes, and whether Marvel revealed too much—or not nearly enough. They compare Doom's introduction to Thanos' buildup before Infinity War and discuss why Marvel's next crossover needs to restore confidence in the MCU.The episode also covers the reported Ryan Gosling Ghost Rider project, Marvel's continued trouble developing Blade, the new direction for Black Panther 3, and whether T'Challa should have been recast following Chadwick Boseman's passing. Finally, the episode concludes with excitement over Scott Pilgrim X: Dawn of Metal, the newly announced continuation of Bryan Lee O'Malley's iconic series, and what Chris and Matt hope to see from Scott Pilgrim's next chapter. If you enjoy conversations about Comic-Con, DC Studios, Marvel Studios, Avengers: Doomsday, Green Lantern, Clayface, Ghost Rider, Black Panther, Scott Pilgrim, superhero movies, comics, and pop culture, this episode is for you.Follow Sketching Up:Instagram — https://www.instagram.com/sketchinguppod/Facebook — https://www.facebook.com/sketchinguppod/TikTok — https://www.tiktok.com/@sketchinguppodVideo edited by Chris SchnabelEpisode Produced by Chris Schnabel and Matt TornettaMusic by Kyle ScottSketching Up is a Schnabel Studios Production.Chapters00:08 Introduction & Comic-Con Week Begins03:00 Mad Props, History Helms & Podcast Updates06:15 San Diego Comic-Con 2026 Reactions06:57 Lanterns Trailer, John Stewart & the Manhunters13:17 Clayface, Superhero Horror & the Future of DC18:33 Can the Next Superman Movie Keep DC's Momentum?23:08 Avengers: Doomsday Trailer Debate32:02 Ryan Gosling as Ghost Rider & Marvel's Blade Problem39:10 Black Panther 3, T'Challa & Recasting Debate42:52 Scott Pilgrim X: Dawn of Metal46:06 Final Thoughts & Outro

Visit our merch store: https://shop.millennialshow.com Follow the show in your favorite podcast app and leave us a review! This week we're doing our annual SDCC download, and there is a lot to unpack. We start with Avengers: Doomsday, because obviously, and get into the very Dr. Doom-heavy footage from Hall H. From there we hop to Disney+'s Percy Jackson, which just dropped a season 3 teaser and a release date (November 20!) that has book readers buzzing about how accurate this season might actually be. Then we talking about Mike Flanagan's Carrie reboot — yes, with cell phones, yes, we have thoughts — landing on Prime October 7, plus Matthew Lillard's casting as the principal, which, honestly, correct choice. And because no Comic-Con recap is complete without a little discourse, we get into Kevin Feige comparing the Doctor Doom buildup to Thanos and why fans are very much not here for it. Rounding things out, we've got Spaceballs news (Rick Moranis showed UP, people), a surprisingly moving story about how fan campaigning got Coyote vs. Acme un-shelved and into actual theaters, and just an overall reminder that this fandom stuff still means something to people. We close things out with recs: Laura's hydrating her face with the Elf Holy Hydration moisturizer, Eric's deep in Star Trek mode with the Improvised Star Trek podcast (start on episode 85, "The Search for Sock"), and Pam wants you to buy local produce when you can to avoid the current explosive diarrhea outbreak sweeping the nation.
