Folge 114: "Happy Birthday, Markus. Linz'ns."

The time has come to unpack all the new info on the Nintendo Switch, the Big N's hybrid console/ portable system that's simultaneously turning heads and plaming faces. For all the cool, quirky games and features the system has to offer, a lot of baggage comes with this new venture. And while, yes, we're going to dig through this baggage like the TSA, the hosts of Nerdy Show are also cautious about the forthcoming scourge of bathroom gaming to come. This isn't your personal handheld - this is a console meant to be shared, so you'd better pick up some of our patent-pending Switch Wipes! Pop a couple Bennys and join Cap, boR, Doug, and Brandon for a antibacterial antics and sanitary discussions such as a review of A Monster Calls and the subscription service controversy surrounding the return of Cartoon Hangover's Bee and Puppycat and Bravest Warriors. And that's not all, o unsuspecting listener - we've got a new segment called Surprise Science with Jon - and you won't believe the many-eyed deluge of science facts we get when we give our sci-tech host an unprompted phone call. WE ARE BACK! It's January which means only one thing - NEW YEAR'S NICKTOONS! This is our third year doing New Year's NickToons and we're getting into some interesting territory. Kicking off 2017 is Oh Yeah! Cartoons which was a variety show that acted as a spring board for cartoons like the Fairly OddParents, Chalk Zone, and My Life as a Teenage Robot. All good things and was the begin of Frederator Studio that has launched so many other great cartoons (Bee and PuppyCat, Bravest Warriors, and Adventure Time). Will Dave start his own variety show? Will Sean animate a version of Dave and his cat and pitch it to Frederator? (answers Yes and Absolutely) All of this and more on this week's episode of the Saturday Mourning Cartoons podcast. This episode is sponsored by "2017!" Yes, the year 2017. Will it be better than 2016? Who knows. 2017 - "only time will tell!" If you are digging our show, then please leave us a rating on iTunes, Stitcher, and Google Play and like us on facebook. Thanks in advance. You are the best! https://www.facebook.com/SaturdayMourningCartoons/
