Greetings Trashlings! Sara Armour & Casey Bunker are back to talk about disruption on the beach during BIP week 4. With no money & no prospects, Casey faints and implements a subconscious strategy to leave the beach on his terms. Peter also leaves the beach “on his terms” after being “kicked off” by the cast even though he wouldn't have gotten a rose anyway. The beach is split. The cast is separated and new boys and girls are sent to their respective camps to seed new connections. Aqua Sun / Cancer Moon Britney finally finds a castmate in Tyler that she seems genuinely excited about her future with, but what about Andrew? He's on a date talking video games with Jessenia so all seems calm in the little cutie corner of the bach beach. Shenae remains true to character by stealing Tyler for a tantric yoga date despite his connection with Britney and after having been won over by Sag Sun / Virgo Moon Logan, last week. Luckily, Logan spends some time with new-to-beach Sarah. Upon first watch it looks like Shenae will win out over Sarah, but does their astrological compatibility say the same? Will the Aries Sun / Cancer Moon of Shenea prove to be too immature compared to Taurus Sun / Sag Moon Sarah? Predictions made despite initial gut reactions. Rodney is smitten with Eliza — perhaps TOO smitten? Michael A finally meets Danielle M who also has an ex-partner who died. While their fates now hang in the balance, one thing is clear — the producers set up Scorpio Sun / Capircorn Lace and Cancer Sun / Leo Moon Sierra for failure!! Jill does not know how to use her crystals intentionally which could lead to elimination. PLUS Molly & Sara share a similar random childhood phobia. Stay trashy, stay gassy & have a gnartuitive weekend, Trashlings! Leave a 5-star review! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

My guest today is Danielle Husband. Danielle is a graduate student studying dragonflies and damselflies at the McIntyre Lab at Texas Tech University. In particular, she is studying the west Texas playas, salinas, and urban catchments, and their suitability for odonates.Today's episode is full of great topics. We discuss the importance of wetlands in general, and drill down into the specifics of the semi-arid environment of west Texas. The playas and salinas of west Texas are fascinatingly unique, and also play a critical role in the groundwater system of the Ogallala Aquifer. The Ogallala Aquifer is one of the largest groundwater sources in the world, and critical for much of the United State's agriculture. Aquifers are being drawn down throughout the world, and the Ogallala is no exception. Playas and other wetlands and waterways “recharge” these aquifers, but is it enough to offset the extraction? Danielle describes the challenges of recharge and aquifer depletion. We then dive into Danielle's primary area of research - odonates. She covers the basics of odonata life history, including some differences between damselflies and dragonflies. And did you know some dragonfly species are migratory? Danielle also describes how she constructed the odonate surveying protocol she uses in her field research, some of the interesting discoveries she has made, and helpful tips for naturalists to find and identify dragonflies. It was a wide-ranging and fun discussion that I hope you enjoy as much as I did.People, Organizations, and WebsitesDragonfly Pond Watch Project - Monitoring program for migratory dragonflies that anyone with regular pond or wetland access can participate in.Dragonfly Society of the AmericasGolden Gate Raptor ObservatoryMcIntyre Lab at Texas Tech UniversityOdonata CentralBooks and Other ThingsIUCN Global Wetland Outlook Report - from 2018Dragonflies and Damselflies of the West by Dennis Paulson – one of the best field guides I've found - a bit large for the field but worth itDragonflies and Damselflies of the East by Dennis Paulson – the Eastern USA version of the aboveDragonflies and Damselflies: A Natural History - by Dennis PaulsonOgallala Blue: Water and Life on the Great Plains - by William AshworthPlayas of the Great Plains - by Loren Smith (University of Texas Press)Urban Areas Create Refugia for Odonates in a Semi-Arid Region - by Danielle M. Danielle Mérian est avocate, militante des droits humains et franchement heureuse de vivre.

We start the conversation with a look at the way we may have been viewed by our childhood friends’ parents. Did the adults in your youth love you? Hate you? Ignore you? Maybe they just tolerated you. The main theme of the evening was bizarre and entertaining stories from the news. Of course we stray off as we relate those stories to our own experiences. Including some fun tattoo stories. Join us as we welcome Danielle M into the Red Room for the first time, and drop some giggles along the way. Reflections: Twin Peaks-The Return observations, and impressions Ruminations: Wandering thoughts, ideas, and conversations that enjoy the journey over the destinations Reminiscence: Tales of friendship, adventures, and the drinks along the way Resonance: Reviews and the like, over art of all kinds Twitter: Ruminations@FromTheRedRoom http://guillermotheivth.blogspot.com/ Facebook Ruminations from the Red Room Instagram FromTheRedRoom

We all know whales make songs, but not only are they very complex, they can be covered, repeated and spread like a Number 1 summer hit across oceans to the far flung corners of the globe. Uncertainty looms regarding next week’s midterm elections. In this episode, Julian Zelizer and Sam Wang consider the dynamics shaping the midterm elections and the potential implications with journalist Barry Yeoman and political scientist Danielle M. Thomsen. Yeoman discusses a judicial race in North Carolina that has significant implications for democracy and voting rights in the state. Thomsen speaks about the likely role that female candidates and women voters will play in November. Thomsen is an assistant professor of political science at the University of California, Irvine, and a visiting scholar at the Center for the Study of Democratic Politics, Princeton University, 2018-19. She is the author of the 2017 book, “Opting Out of Congress: Partisan Polarization and the Decline of Moderate Candidates.” Her research focuses on the kinds of candidates who run for Congress, how this has changed over time, and why this matters for partisan trends in Congress. Barry Yeoman is a journalist who “specializes in in-depth reporting that puts a human face on complex issues.” In addition to his work in print media, Yeoman has also made forays into documentary radio. His work has won numerous accolades, including an honor by the Columbia Journalism Review, which proclaimed him to be one of “the best unsung investigative journalists working in print in the United States.”

The second half of this week's episode is more Diggy as he goes quickly into his date with our latest arrival, Dominique. Danielle M makes her unexpected exit, but for a totally fabulous reason. And we're back to the studio for a sit down with some of the cast, DeMario and a segment with Carly and Evan. Comment/thoughts? Reach out! acceptthispodcast.com or 256-648-5272
Adam and Diggy are the belles of the ball in this episode! We see some love triangles forming, and we have a bittersweet parting with Danielle M. Meanwhile, back at the studio, we hear from DeMario on his experiences over the last couple of months.
The second week in Paradise was even more chaotic than the first, with Dean thinking the grass is greener, Diggy finding a mate ten minutes after a different date, and charming Wells and sweet Danielle M. giving us an unforgettable 'Paradise' moment. PLUS: The debut of AB's Mailbag. Also, please forgive Rim for not talking directly into the mic this episode. We can’t wait for the girls to have the roses again. Please end this mess! Guys like Dean and Adam should not be juggling two perfect women apiece. After the break, joining by phone is Diggy, aka Kenneth Moreland. We talk about his surge in popularity this week and of course, his glasses. Plus, Danielle M. leaves for Kenya and Wells breaks out from behind the bar. See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
Raven is in a love triangle. Danielle M. leaves Bachelor in Paradise for a great cause, but in classic Wells fashion (wink, JoJo, wink) he waits too long to make a move. Did Dean make Delo a watermelon or cake? Is it officially the Diggy show? Will Lacey or Kristina find love or remain heart broken. And did you hear, Ben Z has a dog? Is the DeMario and Corinne scandal finally at rest. Carly and Evan are perfect. All this and more as Eddie and Joe dissect another drama-packed week of Bachelor in Paradise. S21 E07 Week 7: Bimini Breakdown Happy Valentine's Day Bachelor Nation! It's week 7 of The Bachelor with Nick Viall and on this episode, we discuss the departure of two fan-favorites (Kristina and Danielle M), Nick going full Forrest Gump with Corinne and of course the very exciting announcement of Rachel Lindsay as our next Bachelorette. Bimini also had its fair share of drama which led to a debate around Nick's tears and general ability to make most situations awkward ("need any sunscreen ladies"), plus discussion on Raven's front-runner status, hometowns, next week's sneak peek and much more. #FreeLiamAndJess Join our Bachelor Fantasy League @ https://goo.gl/bII6mR Email us questions @ eandgpodcast@gmail.com Follow us on social media @eandgpodcast @geoffkeith & @iangulbransen Save 15% on your Bachelor Wines order when using promo code “EANDG” (which applies to everything except the “Six Pack”), thanks to our friends at: http://bachelorwines.com Finally, be sure to use promo code "EANDG" for 20%-off all merchandise, thanks to our awesome sponsors: www.ClothingByOWL.com & www.PuppiesMakeMeHappy.com
Nick is confused. Corinne strikes out. Danielle M and Kristina take a hike. From St. Thomas to Bimini, the drama did not disappoint.
On today's show Nick, Patrick, and Dylan talk about whether or not Lacey is Corrine's Iago or Corrine's Zazu, because as Anette Bening so famously said, “it's all about perspective bro.” The guys then jump into Danielle M' fairytale date with Nick all while listening to Patrick project his evil motives onto her. Finally, they chat about the dangers of having a brick dropped on your head from two stories above. Turns out, it can really mess you up.
The season gets in full swing with the first two group dates and our first 1:1. The ladies get a sense for the lengths to which Corinne will go to stand out in the group. Danielle M goes on the first 1:1 and opens up to Nick about her past. The final group date leads to our first cliffhanger as the truth about Nick and Liz's past gets out, and Nick sends her packing.
Brand new Bach Boy Alex F. joins the gang along with World Renowned Photographer Franco Lacosta from Puerto Rico and the first date! Join the boys as they speculate on Corinne's shocking actions and Liz's suprising departure. Oh, and Casey S. theorizes about Danielle M's husband and if he might actually be alive and Liz...yeah...I dunno. It's all here this week on The Bach Boys! Bachboys.net youtube.com/thebachboys twitter: BachBoys
The boys discuss Corinne's emergence as The Villian, Danielle M's zzzzz date, Liz's unceremonious departure, and just about everything else that went down in Week 2.Listen on:Apple PodcastsGoogle PodcastsSpotifyFollow us on social media:InstagramTwitterFacebookText the mailbag: (773) 234-7794 See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
‘Bachelor’ season 20 star Olivia Caridi joins Claire & Emma to recap Nick V’s second episode as The Bachelor. They discuss topless Corinne, Danielle M’s sad backstory, Josephine’s slap, and Nick’s misplay with Liz. Also, Olivia clarifies why we should all love a good Bachelor villain. She is a psychology student, but during her spare time enjoys immersing herself in the historical worlds she loves to write about. She has been blessed with the gift of writing from a young age, creating her first short story at the age of 9. Danielle's passion for writing stems from her enjoyment of escaping into different worlds; through her writing, she hopes she can give the reader an opportunity to enter these worlds, and be a part of the compelling and exciting action she loves! http://wgl.fm/ http://mediaauthorityshawnchhabra.com/ http://shawnchhabra.com/ http://shawnchhabra.com/ About her book:Set in the 1830's during the convict transportation era between the United Kingdom and Australia, a thirteen-year old Peter Wilkins is convicted of burglary and transported to Van Diemen's Land to serve his sentence. Tara Harford and her father are on the wrong side of a conspiracy which sees that the two are separated and sent abroad for life to serve as convicts of the Crown. Peter must face the ever-rising problems of his life as a convict, and Tara feels no other option but to find her father, unaware of the dangers that come with her decision. Beautifully written in the historical world of the Port Arthur convict settlement of Van Diemen's Land, suspense and romance combine to create a compelling and captivating story of a convict boy who tries to find his place in society, and an innocent girl who gets caught on the wrong side of the law.
