Photography On Demand With Muji Ahmedi Photography expert Muji Ahmedi joins us on The Next 100 Days to discuss all this photography. Since starting his degree at university in business marketing, he learnt a lot which helped him get into photography. What he learnt in his degree was brand image and creating a brand portfolio. A lot of conversation that came around that was "how do you present your brand?" and imagery. http://thenext100days.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/starting-out.mp4 When Muji was working part time at Nando's, a lot of their focus was around social media influence. Using great Photography and capturing what the people want. Being in todays society and how social media is influenced, you take a lot in. Imagery is everywhere and important for driving sales. He started his career with Perfocal 3 months ago. Perfocal is the company Muji works for and they do 1 on 1 photography. His first month was an internship and he's also done a variety of crash courses on photography. With all the photography coming in, he can now identify what's good and bad and what works and what doesn't. From the clients he's had working with him, Muji finds it's really great to see how his help has benefited their business. Food Photography Most big markets are food. Deliveroo, UberEats, Just Eat. The first thing you look at is the picture. You read the description, sure. But then you want to know what it looks like. With food, it can be hard for the photos to come out well. If the pictures aren't doing the food justice, nobody will want to buy it. Whether it tastes good or not. http://thenext100days.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/food.mp4 Working at Perfocal If you book through Perfocal, the algorithm pairs you up with the best photographer suited towards your needs. When the photographer is recruited, they specify what photography they specialise in and locations they cover. This then helps them get matched up to clients. Once the shoot is done, Perfocal look at the photography taken and rate it between 1-100. If the photographer has done the shoot and been rated well, they will continue to get clients in that area. http://thenext100days.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/Algorithm.mp4 How have you coped with COVID-19? Muji says that before COVID, events were the main market. Since lockdown began, no events have been taking place or people wanting a photographer. Perfocal had to take a huge pivot. Muji started to approach businesses, start ups, marketing agency's. He did this to see what he could provide for them. Instead of creating a one off on demand shoot, Muji created on going partnerships. http://thenext100days.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/covid.mp4 What great guests to have on the Podcast. Paul ConantOwner of: Gizoom Marketing & Media Podcast host of The Profit ProtocolCreator of: The Profit Protocol, & Pillars to a successful business. Links: www.TheProfitProtocol.com / www.Gizoom.com I've been running Gizoom Marketing since 1991 and through the years I have found that it's not the marketing business owners need help with. It's the ability to work "ON" the business. Not "ON" the business from the perspective that you are an absentee owner."I don't buy into that." "ON" the business like a CEO. That's why I created The Profit Protocol system. It's to help people that own or run a business or want to start a business, create a profitable entity and that builds on itself while producing crushing results that they could never achieve on their own. Being able to watch my clients get results and make the changes needed is the reason I JUMP out of bed every morning. I love showing people exactly what works (and perhaps more importantly, what DOESN'T work) when someone learns how to scale their business and rapidly create the income, freedom, and lifestyle that they want and deserve. That's why I do this.
In this episode, I get to speak with Engel Jones. He was born and raised in the Twin island of Trinidad and Tobago, and he loves great conversation. He’s an entrepreneur, life coach, and the podcast host of the 12 minute convo. His passion is to help you find YOURS. Your Own Unique, Real Self. I discovered Engel Jones when he invited me to be a guest on his podcast. In 2016. He started with creating 1001 conversations, guests to be had on his podcast. In 2019 He was looking for 900 new guests, I had the opportunity to be on the podcast. And hence, we connected through the network got to be on his podcast. And it’s been a long time coming. Since then he’s had a new baby. And he’s been busy with that. And I was like, Hey, now that enough time has passed, do you have some time to come and be a guest on my podcast, and I am happy to announce that Engel Jones is here on the podcast. Connecting CFOs with Dan Wells Dan Wells is talking to us about connecting CFOs. He founded two collaborative portals: growcfo and growceo. He's spent 20 years as an advisor to lots of high-growth, entrepreneurial businesses. Additionally, he was an equity partner in a big four firm. Now, he's making his own path with his new venture. Entrepreneurial spirit Dan's passion has always been to become an entrepreneur. His family have had experiences as entrepreneurs' as a result, he wanted to follow suit. When Dan was younger, his parents worked hard with a catering equipment company. He used to spend his time keeping out of trouble by helping deliveries to local businesses. Also, his uncle ran a successful catering business. Looks like being a business professional runs in the blood! Connecting CFOs with portals http://thenext100days.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/Portal.mp4 How do you connect CFOs through portals? What's the business idea? When Dan looks at a lot of the tech businesses that have done well, he sees that entrepreneurs apply technology to a good skillset in order to create their own business. It's a great business model to apply technology to field which you are passionate about and already have a solid network in. What Dan's done is get some software and joined with a tech company in order to create a big collaboration zone. That way, there can be a great platform for shared ideas and resources. In fact, this is how Dan and Kevin met! They connected on LinkedIn and Dan offered Kevin a place on the CFO portal. Once you get into the portal, you set up a profile and then you would have access to all the content and you can message any other members. You can either use the different threads of the information that has been posted; or you can filter all of the content according to what is most relevant to you. For Dan, it's about making what's relevant to people. You can get lost information overload and so this service gets people in front of a community and the information you want. He provides support. Where did it start? What Dan has found is that people can often be lonely and isolated within their roles. They try find solutions themselves and get their head down. Invariably, they waste a lot of time and cost. What Dan encourages them to do is find others in similar situations and try and learn from the things they have worked out. This also applies to learning from their mistakes too! It sort of links to our conversation with Engel Jones - sharing our experiences can be such a powerful thing. The portal that's set up at the moment is purely online. Dan and his team were keen to get a good number of members so there was a solid critical mass in each location. He has about 1000 members now, which means they have enough people with common interest to start thinking about events and getting people together face-to-face. Income http://thenext100days.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/Income.mp4 With gathering people together, there are lots of opportunities for generating income. However, the importance is to maintain and manage the user experience of the portals. It needs to be an attractive place for users to come to. Dan's recently departed the world of big organisations. He left back in June last year. Since then it's been a rapid journey and the uptake of the portals have been really high. What's really encouraging is the level of referrals - it's a big indicator of how people are finding the user experience. USPs for connecting CFOs http://thenext100days.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/Different-from-LinkedIn.mp4 Chief Executive Officers It's not just all about numbers. It's about humans as well...isn't that right Kevin?! On a more serious note, what's the difference between CFO and CEO portals? Is there any? To start with, Dan found that the business leaders on the CEO forum were more open and much more likely to post on the forum. Over time, however,
Narrative and Networks with Engel Jones This week we have something of a podcast expert on The Next 100 Days, talking to us about narrative and networks. Our guest is Engel Jones. He's a superstar at talking to people from around the world. The Next 100 Days has celebrated it's 200th episode and it's 4th year. But, Engel has actually released 2700 episodes across just under 4 years. What an amazing achievement. After the podcast, Engel was actually going to interview Kevin for his most recent 12-minute podcast episode. Graham has actually been a guest twice now. But what was the meaning and drive behind 12 minute conversations? Behind the scenes of narratives and networks through podcasts Engel wanted to get to know people better and ask questions that were relevant to the people he was speaking to. He was interested in narratives and networking came about because of that. Long story short, Engel went after a narratives and network skillset through conversations. That idea of connecting to people links to Engel's business Amazel Enterprise. Engel has created a marketing strategy where he brought himself into the centre. This means you look at the pillars of spirituality, family, career, physical, political and financial. Then you dive into the wheel of business - you look at CEOs, management, marketing, finance, etc. 12 Minute Convos was supposed to be the funnel that gave some leads and coaching. But, it became the funnel for everything. It has been very popular. 12 Minute Convos The vision for 12 minute convos is to share narrative and create networks. The mission is to build bridges through meaningful conversation over the next 3 years. Engel wants to have another 9000 conversations this year. Ultimately, Engel wants to immortalise the voice of humanity. You get onto the podcast platform and it is taken for granted. However, it is part and parcel of immortalising the voice of someone at a particular time in their lives. Engel ties his conversations to 'Your Own Unique Real Self'. Y.O.U.R.S http://thenext100days.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/Y.O.U.R.S.mp4 Engel didn't want to write a book. He created a work book that asked the questions that would hopefully inspire others in how they can start their own brand. What's the process your clients go through to get the outcomes you hope for them? That's a great question. The intuition approach that says 'you need to do this for x' only works up to a point. Engel finds that when an individual sees it for themselves, there's a different drive that occurs. If you know yourself and your unique, real goals then consultancy becomes a lot clearer and better to plan. http://thenext100days.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/Kevins-facts.mp4 Curious questions Kevin's been doing a bit of research for his appearance on Engel's podcast. He noticed that the questions asked are covered in the workbook you can download from Engel's site. Where did some of those questions come from? Engel likes digging into the younger you. He says this is because he feels the younger you doesn't get enough credit. It's always: "If I knew then what I know now then I would have done things differently!" However, for Engel he marvels what his younger self had to deal with. It is a challenge to think we need to give our younger selves more grace. http://thenext100days.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/Kevins-music.mp4 Amanda, Amanda... What a selfless lady. Engel took off on a trip around America in 2018 - virtually every single state and Canada. And Amanda was there through it all. It's the kind of road trip most of us only dream of. What was that all about? That wasn't just Skyping people or calling them. That was meeting with people and speaking face to face. Engel interviewed and recorded 349 people. The journey was remarkable. These things seem huge at the end of it but it really started with small conversations and consistency.

Engel Jones is a podcaster and the best networker you've ever seen. He has to be because his podcast is all about 12 minute conversations and he's done 2460 of them. Last year, he and his wife traveled the continental United States and Canada throughout the summer. I was privileged to sit down with Engel and his wife at Red Rocks park in beautiful Colorado while they were on that epic journey. Today, Engel shares with us how growing up in an extended family influenced him, finding Christ in the religious melting pot of Trinidad, and how the Lord led him through divine connections. Today's guest joining us on the Join Up Dots podcast is quite simply one of the most inspiring people I know. Through the Join Up Dots world i am surrounded by people who by and large say that they want to do something and then don't. This could be experienced business owners, newbies or quite simply dreamers who talk the talk but fail to walk the walk. Today's guest is anything but a dreamer, and throughout the last few years has shot to the top by taking bold action. For example, when starting his podcast twelveminuteconvos instead of going the normal two shows a week route, he didn't then raise the game to a daily show like the real movers and shakers. No, he went big and attempted the break the world record by recording 1001 shows in just 90 days. Then in 2017 he went even bigger and recorded 813 podcasts in just 12 weeks. When I last connected with him, he was on a mission across America and Canada driving through 48 states interviewing 1001 past podcast guests, exploring the power of a conversation as a Caribbean podcaster. As he says "I thought I had it figured out. It would be simple. In 12 days I would raise US$48,000. Think about it here with me. I interviewed 1987 guests on my podcast. If each podcast guest donated US$24 we would raise US$47,688 which would cover the RV rental, gas, food, tolls, rv parks, recording equipment etc. This would have been most ideal for the crew. The planned crew for this mission would have been my wife, Amanda, our two sons respectively and one of our friends from Virginia, Ryan Dean. We raised US$3,947.50 in 12 days, 8% of the initial goal. Great time to GIVE UP !!!! !!!! !!!! However you will find in today's show that this is a guy who when it comes to a dream, just like Rick Astley Is "Never Gonna Give You Up" He digs in deep and finds a way through to the life he wants. So has he always been such a high goal setter, or does he do it now because once up on a time he was anything but. And what has been the biggest learning curve throughout the last three years? Well let's find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only Engel Jones Show Highlights During the show we discussed such weighty topics with Engel Jones such as: Why the inputs in your life really help you to to gain the great outputs. There is a ying and yang thing going on behind all actions. Engel shares why so many people have a life where the bare necessities is all that is required but struggle to go after more and more. We discuss how the difficulty of the tasks performed are always more mental than practical. Get you head in the game to achieve greatness. and lastly…. Why in life the true success comes your way by being you and 100% you, That is what the world is waiting for and is your job to deliver.

Engel Jones has conducted over 2,000 interviews since 2016. They were all at least 12 minutes long. In 2016 Engel decided that he was going to do 1001 interviews in 3 months, using a framework of questions that he came up with that take around 12 minutes and are meant to help you discover Your Own Unique Real Self. He called it Twelve Minute Convos. This was all done from his home in Trinidad with guests from everywhere in the world. Let's think about this for a second: 1001 interviews divided by 90 days is around 11 interviews per day. When I schedule interviews for The Personal Finance Show, I do one, maybe 2 per day. Whether it takes an hour or 12 minutes, interviewing someone takes a lot of energy and creativity. When the 1001 interviews were completed, Engel released a workbook called Your Own Unique Real Self, a reflective self-discovery guide, which is now available on Amazon. As if that wasn't enough, in 2017 Engel decided to try it again! This time focusing on interviewing other podcasters. He got to 813. That's 1814 conversations in 2 years. My 12 minute convo was episode 1,437. And as of March 2018, which is the last episode published on iTunes, the episode count is at 1987. But it doesn't end there! In June of 2018 Engel and his wife Amanda(who is a registered nurse and published author) decided to leave Trinidad and make a 12 week journey across North America to meet and do follow-up interviews in-person with as many previous guests as possible. So they are way past 2,000 episodes now - they just haven't been published on to the podcast feed yet. They are all on Facebook and YouTube if you search for #12minconvos. The in-person interviews are currently at episode 289 and you can find me on episode 106 It was a privilege to host Engel and Amanda at my home in Hamilton, and provide them with a place to stay while on their journey. If you like what they are doing and want to throw them some support, head over to gofundme.com/12minconvos. Engel agreed to take a break from being the interviewer for a whole hour, to share his personal finance story and how 12 Minute Convos came to be. NEXT EPISODE 46 - Boyce Collins

2-Minute Tip: Acknowledge Your Elephants An elephant in the room is a topic no one wants to talk about, but probably everyone should. They include: Equipment failure Fire alarm Falling flowers Folks who walk out Medical emergency Loud neighbors A blown lamp Major news event Major corporate news And more As a speaker, it's important to acknowledge them in an appropriate manner. If you don't acknowledge them, the awkwardness will distract your audience and make the rest of your talk less effective. Program Note Personal friend and friend of 2-Minute Talk Tips, Tim Garber, recently appeared on the 12 Minute Convos podcast with Engel Jones. It's fun interview. You can check it out here. You can find more of Tim's appearances here. Post Tip Discussion: Necessary and Sufficient Conditions Analyzing the goal you are trying to achieve with a talk, and the arguments you plan to leverage through the lens of necessary and sufficient conditions can be enlightening. Doing so makes it easier to see why something works or doesn't work, and it promotes cleaner and clearer thinking. A necessary condition is one that is required to achieve a result, but does not guarantee a result. A sufficient condition is one that will definitely bring about a specific result, but it is not required to achieve that result. How do your programs and proposals fit in with this framework? Call To Action: Acknowledge your elephants. Know the necessary and sufficient conditions around the topics you speak about. Check out Tim's conversation with Engel Jones on 12 Minute Convos. Sorry, I've been off creating Christmas Cards and helping my customers do the same. This is my 12th Christmas sharing how easy Send Out Cards makes it to send our seasonal cards - for every season! But it's a recent Weight Watchers brochure that actually gave me the title to today's show! This is a regular subject for me and I don't believe it can ever be re-visited too often. Because life circles around and sometimes we forget. Yet, I've learned that focusing on gratitude definitely is the best way for me to rule my life. And I express that every night in a 'gratitude journal'. Nothing fancy, just a notebook, with lines :-) and a pen and my thoughts of what I am grateful for that day. I believe, at least for me, when I reflect on who and what I am grateful for I can't focus on the negative crap that might be circulating in my life, directly or indirectly. I have a tough time listening to or watching the news. It is rarely uplifting and invigorating. So by choosing my own path of gratitude I can block out what I cannot control. I invite you to take a moment and reflect on someone you haven't shown your gratitude towards lately. Maybe it's that spouse who supports you every day, but somehow you overlook saying how grateful you are that they are by your side. We all tend to take for granted what we have, it's just human nature. We go about our lives and do our thing and never stop and reflect until something changes our status quo. Don't let that happen to you... Some of what I say here I wished I'd said on the show, but it comes out as it needs to be said, but I 'hear' more sometimes when I write it out. In my interview with Engel Jones of Twelve Minute Conversations Podcast he asked me what was one habit I've maintained over the years and it was 'posting nightly in my Gratitude Journal'. And in closing I just want to let you know how grateful I am, to you, for listening! And a have a very Merry Christmas. (In case, I don't get on here next week!) Passing on Christmas Cheer, Gail
WOW, 1-year anniversary episode… What a year it has been!! I want to thank everyone who have taken the time to listen over the past year… much love and appreciation to you all. I am so very grateful for each one of you!! In this episode, I want to talk about my journey, Three Roses Wellness, The Rebel Health Coach Podcast and what you have to look forward to over the next year. So grab yourself a cup of Four Sigmatic Coffee and chill out with me for a little bit. After years of struggling with my health, I was diagnosed with Type II Diabetes. I started to turn my health around and, this past July, I passed the board certification as a Functional Medicine Practitioner. One thing I have learned through all this – forget about losing weight and just get your body healthy. If your body is healthy, you will lose weight because it is physically impossible to be overweight and have a healthy body! I originally started a program called Weight Loss That Lasts, but I relaized that God has given me a greater purpose in this world. I want to give back by helping others reverse diseases and become healthy. So I switched gears and started Three Roses Wellness. Three Roses Wellness comes from… Three Roses represents the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, the Trinity Three roses indicate abiding a) Love, b) Life, and c) Light. In Christian lore, a rose bush was said to have grown at the site of Christ's death. His blood serving is often associated with a red rose, combined with its thorns is thus symbolized the ultimate sacrifice. A rose with eight petals is a message of rebirth and renewal. Three roses are symbolic of a guiding principle Red Rose: Sacrifice, Immortal love, Health, Memorial, Passion Our Vision, Mission, and Values Vision: Encourage and serve others to experience a healthy and holistic life every day Mission: Coach those feeling trapped in unhealthy lifestyles to attain optimum health through quality nutrition and holistic health choices; honoring the life God has given them. Values: Christ Centered, Inspirational Change, Trusting Relationships, Individual Empowerment, Personal Integrity, Life-Affirming Methods, Caring Guidance Podcasting is a lot of work, but I love it… ...and I love getting information out to you listeners: I've also had the pleasure of recording a 3-part meditation series for a Podcast called Mindshift Meditations, a project of Chel Hamilton and Josie Ong: http://mindshiftmeditations.com/msm-007-3-key-steps-to-a-healthier-you-maximize/ Also, I had the pleasure of being interviewed by Engel Jones on a podcast called 12 Minute Convos with Engel Jones: https://twelveminuteconvos.com/ Last but not least, this episode is dedicated to my Father, as was the first episode. Contact Info Website: 12MinuteConvos.com Podcast: 12MinuteConvos.com[show-notes-contact] Most Influential Person Hal Elrod (Author of The Miracle Morning) Effect on Emotions Mindfulness has helped me to become more stabilized. Thoughts on Breathing I stand on my head every morning and breathe deeply. That really brings a peace and calmness and is also great for my back. In situations now, I catch myself breathing as a first response to a scenario, especially those drivers on the road. Suggested Resources Book: The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod Book: The Total Money Makeover: A Proven Plan For Financial Fitness by Dave Ramsey App: Headspace Bullying Story I remember being bullied for a short bit when I was in school. My aunt sewed my uniform to exact spec. It was 1995 and I was wearing a uniform that was designed for the 1960's. I really stuck out because my personality was the same. I would go around the school telling older students, "Hi, my name is Darlington Jones, for short you can call me Darling." The children who were my age didn't really like that, or they didn't understand that. There was this one guy that got strength in bullying me. We were playing football and he would run in and he would hit me or kick at me. I remember coming home and telling my mother, because I'm a fighter, but I was in a new environment. I told my mother what happened and she said, "If he does that again, I want you to let him have it." Getting up in the morning was painful, going to school was painful. I remember having to go to the toilet before I had to go to school because in my mind I was already conjuring up the emotions and the embarrassment I would feel. He did do it again and I did let him have it. It was at lunch time and it was in front of everyone on that side of the block of the school. Now this isn't violent, this is like push off. But I won and mindfulness for me represented the pain that you can go through. So many other people are going through this and you need not to fight. At the same time, metaphorically there are things that you deserve, that you should fight for. Make it easier for yourself. You deserve it, I deserve it.
Do what you love, and you’ll never work another day in your life. We’ve all heard that before, right?
