Pufnstuf (also known as Pufnstuf Zaps the World) is a 1970 American comedy fantasy musical film produced by Sid and Marty Krofft Enterprises and released by Universal Pictures. It is based on the children's television series H.R. Pufnstuf, a show that features a cast of puppets on a "living island."   The NeverEnding Story is a 1984 fantasy film co-written and directed by Wolfgang Petersen (in his first English-language film), and based on the 1979 novel The Neverending Story by Michael Ende. It was produced by Bernd Eichinger and Dieter Giessler, and stars Noah Hathaway, Barret Oliver, Tami Stronach, Patricia Hayes, Sydney Bromley, Gerald McRaney and Moses Gunn, with Alan Oppenheimer providing the voices of Falkor and Gmork (as well as other characters). It follows a boy who finds a magical book that tells of a young warrior who is given the task of stopping the Nothing, a dark force, from engulfing the wonderland world of Fantasia.   At the time of its release, it was the most expensive film produced outside the United States or the Soviet Union. It was the first in The NeverEnding Story film series. It adapts only the first half of the book, and consequently does not convey the message of the title as it was portrayed in the novel. The second half of the book was subsequently used as a rough basis for the second film, The NeverEnding Story II: The Next Chapter (1990). The third film, The NeverEnding Story III: Escape from Fantasia (1994), has an original plot not based on the book.   Opening Credits; Introduction (1.22); Background History (13.09); PufnStuf (1970) Trailer (29.44); Our Opening Presentation (16.29); Let's Rate (55.07); Introducing Our Next Feature (1:00.40); NeverEnding Story (1984) Trailer (1:02.11); Lights, Camera, Action (1:03.30); How Many Stars (1:41.31); End Credits (1:49.16); Closing Credits (1:51.23)   Opening Credits– Epidemic Sound – Copyright . Steal the most unwieldy leather-bound tome you can find from your mysterious neighborhood bookseller and hide in your school's spooky attic as we fly off into a serious childhood touchstone, 1984's The NeverEnding Story. Is the raw egg swilling dad in this a secret alcoholic? Do we all have deep deep horse girl feelings? Why does this movie swing between scaring the crap out of kids, and making them bawl in utter grief? And for all the great puppetry in this—hello Falkor, you amazing fantasy steed—why does the evil Nothing wolf look like a Chuck E. Cheese side character? We're sure the answers will come from this heartrendingly plaintive child ruler named after our hippie mom.

We wish you all well and want to again thank everyone for listening and supporting our little podcast endeavor! Our fourth episode this season is a little different from the normal serial killers we cover. In this episode, we will delve into one of the most prolific serial arsonists in US history. There are many others who have set more fires, however, what this arsonist was able to accomplish in just 6 short months set the greater Seattle area on high alert and sent firefighters into a panic as there was no end in sight.Multiple families lost their homes and all their belongings, people lost businesses and ultimately 3 lives would be lost after a retirement home was targeted. The destruction would be estimated at around $40 million in total. Because of the ghostlike ability, the arsonist had to move from place to place while remaining unseen, he was given the nickname Spector.Ultimately, it was a risky maneuver by the Sno-King Arson Task Force that brought an end to this arsonist. It was a risk that paid off and led to the capture of 27-year-old Paul Keller in February of 1993.Let us know your thoughts on this case!Paul's very small Wikipedia pagehttps://bit.ly/3mcYBqCUnknown arsonist on the loosehttps://bit.ly/3p65Xylhttps://bit.ly/3E0YxQZAfter the Spector is foundhttps://bit.ly/3E601tohttps://bit.ly/3J8fCfMhttps://bit.ly/3oZULDbhttps://bit.ly/3mf6Hzkhttps://bit.ly/325ZDOnhttps://bit.ly/3p068uWCollecting the rewardhttps://bit.ly/3dYnz8Hhttps://bit.ly/3mfqUoFSno-King Arson Task Force recognizedhttps://bit.ly/3sbJO3xRecommended to read and watch:The Anatomy of Motive: The FBI's Legendary Mindhunter Explore The Key to Understanding and Catching Violent Criminals by John Douglas and Mark Olshakerhttps://bit.ly/3GPrlOfEvil Lives Here, Season 2 Episode 1 “Not My Boy”Included with the Discovery+ app, or available on Amazon here: https://amzn.to/3F7D8a2Not Our Son, 1995 starring Neil Patrick Harris as Paul Keller and Gerald McRaney as George KellerPart 1- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rZghZXvhUo8Part 2- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YjBZaT5xAJMPart 3- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7wR-XB9YTBoAn article on the making of the moviehttps://bit.ly/3styCQ3

Leslie and I discuss the difference between an author and a writer, how her experience writing TV sit-coms and personal essays was very different than writing a full-length novel, and how the idea for her realistic story came from the challenges she observed her forty-something friends grappling with as children left home, parents aged, and marriages underwent major transformations. Leslie A. Rasmussen was born and raised in Los Angeles and graduated from UCLA. She went on to write television comedies and is a member of The Writers' Guild of America. Hear how to find your voice, even in the midst of change What a powerful conversation I had with Leslie Rasmussen, award-winning author of the novel After Happily Ever After. It is a book that tells a story about a woman, perhaps you or me, who realizes that it is time for her to rethink the woman she used to be and wants to become. Sounds both familiar and intriguing, right? It is. While Leslie will tell you in our podcast all about her own journey, she also will shed light on how this novel emerged and why she has used it to give a voice to many women today facing the pain of change. Whether it is pandemic fatigue or watching the house empty as the kids head off to college, I know this is a conversation you will enjoy and a book you will want to read. Watch and listen to our conversation here An empty nester learning to love herself "one blunder at a time" Inspiration for Leslie's debut novel can be traced back to 2016. As she spent time around other mothers, she decided to write a fictionalized treatment of actual human scenarios from a woman's perspective. From information gleaned in interviews with anonymous women who spoke candidly about their marriages, she connected the dots between their stories and created a protagonist who is the composite of many women, including herself. About Leslie Rasmussen After graduating with a bachelor's in communications from UCLA, Leslie wrote television comedies, becoming a member of the Writers Guild of America West. She wrote for Gerald McRaney, Burt Reynolds, Roseanne Barr, Norm McDonald, Drew Carey and Ralph Macchio, as well as The Wild Thornberrys and Sweet Valley High. She then earned a master's degree in nutrition and ran her own business for ten years. Most recently, her essays have been published in more than 20 online magazines, including Huffington Post. Leslie Rasmussen didn't intend to write a novel. Her idea was to interview people in their 40s, empty-nesting or nearly empty nesting, in long-term relationships or newly divorced, hearing their stories and finding commonalities. She found so many that she decided to combine the patterns she was hearing about to write the stories of one fictional family's experience. This story resonates because it feels so familiar. Every character is familiar, from the teenaged daughter to the high achieving best friend. The primary protagonist is me. She's you. She's your husband or your wife. Though her actions and how she chooses to move through her current situation won't exactly match what you might do, the feelings and circumstances absolutely will. Our conversation began with movie trivia... it turns out that Leslie started her career in Los Angeles as an actress. After her cameo appearance in a major film, she had an epiphany about what she really wanted, which was to be involved in filmmaking, but not necessarily as an actress. --- Follow Leslie on Facebook, Instagram, and be sure to grab your copy of her book, After Happily Ever After. From Leslie's website: Leslie A. Rasmussen was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. She graduated with a bachelors from UCLA in Communications and went on to write television comedies for Gerald McRaney, Burt Reynolds, Roseanne Barr,  Norm McDonald, Drew Carey, and Ralph Macchio as well as The Wild Thornberrys and Sweet Valley High.  Later, she earned a master's degree in nutrition and ran her own business for ten years. Most recently, Leslie  has written personal essays for online magazines such as Huffington Post, Maria Shriver and Sheknows.  Leslie loves dogs and besides having two adorable Labradors, she volunteers at The Burbank Animal Shelter,  in Burbank, California.  Leslie lives in Los Angeles and has two sons, and a husband she's been with since college.  This is her debut novel. --- ABOUT SARAH: "Uncovering the right stories for the right audiences so executives, leaders, public speakers, and job seekers can clearly and actively demonstrate their character, values, and vision." In my work with coaching clients, I guide people to improve their communication using storytelling as the foundation of our work together. What I've realized over years of coaching and podcasting is that the majority of people don't realize the impact of the stories they share - on their internal messages, and on the people they're sharing them with. My work with leaders and people who aspire to be leaders follows a similar path to the interviews on my podcast, uncovering pivotal moments in their lives and learning how to share them to connect more authentically with others, to make their presentations and speaking more engaging, to reveal patterns that have kept them stuck or moved them forward, and to improve their relationships at work and at home. The audiobook, Your Stories Don't Define You, How You Tell Them Will is now available! Included with your purchase are two bonus tracks, songs recorded by Sarah's band, Spare Change, in her living room in Montana.

Earl Brown, Anna Gunn, Molly Parker, Brad Dourif, Gerald McRaney and Dayton Callie. After a 10 year hiatus and numerous news items teasing a feature film or two made for TV films, HBO and David Milch have brought us a film that is somewhere in between and serves a series finale for the beloved show. The synopsis reads: In the “Deadwood” film, the indelible characters of the series are reunited after ten years to celebrate South Dakota's statehood. Former rivalries are reignited, alliances are tested and old wounds are reopened, as all are left to navigate the inevitable changes that modernity and time have wrought.Massive Deadwood fans John Rocha and Shannon McClung and Deadwood newbie Michael Vogel give you their thoughts on this movie. They discuss the acting, direction, storylines and feel of the movie. Also, Rocha and Shannon let you know if they like this film as a capper to the series and Vogel lets you know if this got him motivated to go back and watch the series. Join us for a fun discussion as we revisit the town of Deadwood. #deadwood #ianmcshane #deadwoodmovie #timpthyolyphant #HBO --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/the-geek-buddies/message

It took almost 13 years, but Deadwood: The Movie has arrived. To celebrate HBO somehow bringing back David Milch and maybe the greatest cast in television history, the In Reel Deep Podcast has convened to discuss Ian McShane, Gerald McRaney, Molly Parker, and everyone else who participated in this minor miracle. We also wonder if, in the age of streaming, they'll ever be a show like Deadwood again. Welcome back to f*ckin' Deadwood. It can be combative.

Well, the first thing I should probably mention is that we recorded this episode while we were having a thunderstorm in Birmingham, and Hazel was losing her fool mind over the weather. Just think of her barking as soothing background music.  The second thing I should probably mention is that we talk a LOT about college football this time around. It's just that time of year, y'all. So we break down the latest with Melanie's Aggies and my Bulldogs, we discuss Melanie's need for some football boundaries, and I break down my most recent trip to Starkville.  (Full disclosure: Melanie and I recorded this episode just a few days after Mississippi State's decisive victory over the LSU Tigers. It was a glorious time. Since then, however, the Bulldogs have experienced the heartache of a loss to the Georgia Bulldogs. Needless to say, we recorded a quick post-State/UGA follow-up segment to address this sad MSU turn of events, along with the outcome of the A&M/Arkansas game. Stay tuned at the end for that.) We also talk about Homecoming dresses (because CAROLINE IS THAT OLD NOW, HOW DID THAT EVEN HAPPEN?), rose hip oil (who's surprised?), and TV. These are a few of our favorite things. Hope y'all enjoy it! Here's where you can get more info on the stuff / products / places we mention: - Sophie's pretend friend Gerald McRaney wins an Emmy - This Is Us - Hart of Dixie - Mary Beth Whalen's When We Were Worthy - Teddie Organics Rose Hip Oil - "It's A Heartache" by Bonnie Tyler - Melanie's new book - Church of the Small Things  - Sophie's new journaling devotional - All in All - Melanie on Twitter and Instagram - Sophie on Twitter and Instagram

2016? More like twenty sick-teen!!! Not only is there no host, the producer is as sick as a dog. Shitting and barfing all over the carpet like one too. Our Soundcloud stats have revealed a scorching reality - ranting is good, listening to the wife is (for once) bad! Our USB mic has taken a shit, so this episode is a cacophony of different sonic textures. Segment 1: Since our studio mic took a dump, the producer guy takes the field recorder into the garage and rants about IV League’s Del Mar Flat Track, wife’s advice, and “the Death Zone”, all while tearing down a Kawasaki shaft drive. Segment 2: Cleveland Moto inspired us to talk about how Honda is one brand that shakes sex appeal and character in lieu of reliability and sales performance. Despite the lack of a brand image like that of Harley-Davidson’s, Honda still manages to be 2nd in USA sales. http://clevelandmoto.blogspot.com Follow that up with the answer to the question put forth on the Motorcycle Men podcast: why won’t we ever see Harley at Dakar”? www.motorcyclemen.us Segment 3: We review a shitty biker movie.
