After six incredible years, we've decided to retire our flagship program, WAIM Unlimited (after one FINAL upcoming launch). In this episode, we're walking you through exactly why we're making this sizable change. Retiring WAIM Unlimited didn't come from burnout or panic… but from clarity, alignment, and a desire to move into our next chapter with intention. We've been business coaches for 72 months and we're excited to take things in a new direction! Here's what we cover in this ep:What a final enrollment will look like (May/June 2025)The real (and nuanced) reasons we're making this shift—from changing buyer behavior to our own creative evolutionWhat this means for current WAIM members (spoiler: NOT MUCH!)What the next 12 months will look like for us, including our final launch and plans for parental leaveA glimpse at what we're pivoting toward in 2026—and why we're genuinely excited to build from the ground up againThis episode is for anyone who's questioning a long-standing offer or wondering if it's time to let go of something that no longer fits. Your business can grow with you… if you let it.
As well as Ohio State's played so far in the College Football Playoff, it feels like the only team who can beat the Buckeyes is themselves. But that doesn't mean a win over Texas will come easily. The Longhorns are in the CFP semifinals too for a reason, the biggest of which is its defense, which leads the nation in passing yards allowed per attempt. We're not sure if anyone in college football can stop Jeremiah Smith right now, but the Longhorns might be the most well-equipped team in the country to at least slow Ohio State's passing offense down.On the other side of the ball, Ohio State faces a dangerous passing attack led by an old friend in Quinn Ewers. But we expect the Buckeyes' defense to make life difficult for Ewers, especially considering the Longhorns' recent struggles in the running game, and we think Ohio State might hold the quarterback advantage anyway with how well Will Howard has played in Ohio State's first two CFP games. We share our full thoughts on Ohio State's matchup with Texas and make our predictions for how the Buckeyes' Cotton Bowl battle with the Longhorns will play out on this week's episode of Real Pod Wednesdays, as outlined below:0:00 Intro0:58 There's Not Much to Nitpick From Ohio State's Dominant Performance vs. Oregon4:33 Texas Has One of the Nation's Best Pass Defenses, But Can Anyone Stop Jeremiah Smith?11:24 Making Texas' Offense One-Dimensional Could Be the Key to Another Dominant Win18:44 Which Quarterback Would You Rather Have: Will Howard or Quinn Ewers?21:26 Colin Simmons is A Really Good Freshman, But We'll Take Jeremiah Smith23:31 Ohio State's Offensive Line Faces Another Big Test, Will It Rise to the Occasion Again?27:18 Donovan Jackson and Justin Frye Have Both Stepped Up in A Massive Way30:00 Our Biggest Reasons for Confidence and Biggest Reasons for Concern in the Cotton Bowl39:19 Lathan Ransom, Tyleik Williams Among Players to Watch vs. Longhorns42:24 Score Predictions for Ohio State vs. Texas45:28 Predictions for Notre Dame vs. Penn State
EPISODE 53 - “Tribute to Gena Rowlands” - 09/16/2024 ** This episode is sponsored brought to you by BetterHelp. Give online therapy a try at betterhelp.com/BENEATH and get on your way to being your best self.” ** When screen legend GENA ROWLANDS passed away last month at the age of 94, she left behind a film and TV legacy that will undoubtedly influence artists for decades to come. She was an acting titan who changed the way modern audiences looked at acting. From her historic independent movies with husband JOHN CASSAVETES to mainstream Hollywood to powerful performances in iconic television films, Rowlands' performances were always honest, complicated, and emotionally raw. There was just no one like her; and there never will be again. This week, we pay tribute to her endearing legacy on and off the screen. Hey CEO- If entrepreneurship is 1000x harder than just showing up to a job, why are we not regularly plugging into the power source we have access to as believers through prayer? I don't know about you, but for many years, I would spend my time with God in my fav spot on the couch with my Bible, a blanket and coffee in hand (do you have one of those spots too?)...and I'd spend plenty of time praying for my family, for my friends, for people in my church and in my community….even for my clients…but NOT MUCH for my business or for myself as the CEO. It was like I left Him on the couch when it was time to head to my office…until the next morning. All the while, I was limiting the growth of my business because I was doing it as if it depended all on me- that's because I saw myself as a manager of my time and business. But all that changed when God showed me that it's NOT about me. And that my role was not manager, but STEWARD, because it didn't belong to me and the purpose was not to build my kingdom, but His. And that's when I started learning to pray specifically in my CEO Daily Meetings that we talked about last week on Ep 262. Prayer is how we connect with the One who holds everything we need…that's how we can truly build our business WITH-God and see Him do exceedingly, abundantly more than all we could ask or imagine to Him be the glory! That's why I'm excited to bring you this conversation today with Gayle Chaky- Gayle is a transformational business mentor, speaker, host of the “With God as My CEO” podcast (where I will be a guest soon) and founder of the Impact Makers Journey mastermind series. She is passionate about helping women reduce decision-making fatigue and become strong, confident business owners operating with the Lord at the core of their business as they focus on successfully magnifying their impact for His glory. Gayle lives in New York with her husband of over 30 years and sweet pup Gracie. Her life priorities are: faith, family and work in that order. In her free time she loves walking, bike riding, gardening, sewing or just relaxing in her favorite chair with a good book.Be sure to listen in for to how to give up control of your business and for how to make prayer a Master's mind priority…I have a feeling you'll be so glad you did cuz your life + biz will never look the same. AV Superfriends: On TopicEpisode 32"I'm Not Much of a Top Hat Guy"Recorded April 14, 2023Is it over yet? While the topic for this month's show wasn't clear, it was assumed to be about the approaching end of the school year. Instead, we opted to discuss technologies that we're just sick and tired of discussing. And, if you know us, you know we just love VR and the metaverse. And while we don't wish anyone ill will, we do enjoy our schadenfreude. The new Pop Evil album drops on March 17th called Skeletons. Leigh tells me why they named it that, and why there's a + and - on the cover art work. He talks about the writing process and what influenced the music and lyrics. The band has developed a sizable catalog, as Leigh talks about the history of the band, why they stayed in west Michigan as opposed to coming to Detroit. Speaking of which, he talks about some of the talented artists that have come from the "D", including a few we hung with last weekend. That's just for starters with Leigh. Up next, it Willian DuVall from Alice In Chains. He's on The Hu's latest single "This Is Mongol (Warriors Soul)". He tells me about working with that very unique band on that song. "They're definitely working with instruments and vocal techniques and textures that are largely unfamiliar and exotic to western sensibilities. But, ya know, I take that on as kind of a welcomed challenge." He said they fused what he does, and what they do to make the final product. He also told me that he'd never seen the band live. "I have yet to actually see them live in concert....it also would be cool to join them on stage" He gave me an Alice in Chains update. He said that right now "Not Much" is going on with them. Well, that was anticlimactic. LOL "We're enjoying our downtime." He answers the question of how joining AIC changed his life. He also answers correctly what Jerry Cantrell's best riff. is. We got into some vinyl talk, and then I brought up KISS. That's when William really lit up. "That was concurrent into my wanting to play music." He told me how Ace Frehley influenced the way he plays guitar. He told me about a time he sort of met his guitar hero, and what his best riff was as well....which he also got right! ;) -Meltdown- https://wrif.com/podcasts/talkin-rock-with-meltdown/
Paul Merriman, Chris Pedersen and Daryl Bahls each share his studies and comments about rebalancing a portfolio—how often, how much change before rebalancing, and when does it make sense not to rebalance? They also answer listener/viewer questions and Paul makes a special offer for a free chapter from Larry Swedroe's book, Your Complete Guide to a Successful & Secure Retirement. (See details in ‘Links' below). Q&A Which asset classes should be in taxable accounts and which in tax-advantaged accounts? To answer this oft-asked question, Paul recommends Larry Swedroe's book, Your Complete Guide to a Successful & Secure Retirement and encourages investors to read Chapter 10 from the book, “The Asset Location Decision." See “Links” below for details to buy the book and access the free chapter. “Is there a rebalancing bonus?” Chris answers this question and illustrates his answer with the chart, “Is There a Rebalancing Bonus? … Not Much.” See this chart and others mentioned below. “I want to help my 36-year-old daughter establish a retirement portfolio. What do you think of using Vanguard Life Strategy Moderate Growth Fund (VSMGX)?” Chris answers by suggesting a better answer may be a Target Date Fund and shows the Vanguard Target Date Fund Glidepath. See this and other charts and tables mentioned here. “Can I expect to invest in the funds you recommend today and hold them for the rest of my life?” Daryl's answer is yes, using our 4-Fund portfolio. He shows why by comparing the Total Market Index funds to our “No-Nonsense Portfolios” in Table 1a: “No-Nonsense Portfolios for Sound Investing: Equity Asset Allocation” and Table 2a.1, which shows “Comparison Data,” drawing special attention to our U.S. Only 4-Fund Portfolio over the Total Market Index and S&P 500. Daryl also offers a third Table, “No-Nonsense Portfolio Performance Rankings by Decade (1970-2021). See these and all charts and tables mentioned here. MORE LINKS Rebalancing: The implications of adding a small amount of small-cap value to a Total Market Index portfolio. See this Table. 福气 – 彭寒(储永志)03.Long Long Corridor – 彭寒(鸭塘放鸭)04.Not Much(李怀峰)05.Starlight – 彭寒(淳朴的百姓)06.华芳 – 彭寒(东北年轻人)07.Seafoam(片尾曲)
Did you notice that it was “Blue Monday” at the beginning of the week? The third Monday in January is known as Blue Monday, due to a combination of post-Christmas blues, cold, dark, wet days, unpaid bills from Christmas, a ‘dry’ January and generally being fed-up. And of course, in the current climate, the sobering Covid-19 figures we are presented with on an hourly basis in the media are even more reason to feel gloomy and down. So, what can you do in these unsettling, uncertain times? You can Control the Controllable. You will feel more in the driver’s seat, be prepared and ready for whatever life throws at you from a career point of view. You will know what action to take in every situation; what happens if you are fired or made redundant? Are you having second thoughts about your current job, debating whether or not you should stay or move on? Many people dread networking or perceived self-promotion - it can bring into stark relief the difference between someone with bravado who takes risks and someone who is more conservative and doesn’t want to cause a fuss. As President Teddy Roosevelt said, “Comparison is the thief of joy”. So, when you compare yourself to how others work and promote themselves, it can often make you feel inadequate and deflated, which in turn, threatens your confidence and self-worth. However, if you think of your career journey as a series of steps on your own personal ladder, you can compare what you did yesterday to where you are today. Taking stock of each step on your own ladder, seeing the progress you have made, rather than comparing yourself to anyone else, is all part of Controlling the Controllable. Start with a short exercise to help bring you career under control. It will help you identify what is most important to you in a role. Rate these five priorities in order of importance: · Your level of autonomy · The culture of the company you work for · Your opportunity for career progression · The calibre of your leadership team · The appropriateness of your reward for the value you bring to the company Rate your current role on each, ranging from 5 to 1, where 5 equals an Excellent Match; 4 equals Good, 3 equals Needs Improving, 2 equals Not Much to Offer and lastly, 1, which is No Match at all. If the average is above 4 - stay and position yourself as vital for business success. If the average is between 2 & 4 – it is time to explore other career options If the average is below 2 - time to plan your exit so that you can leave on your terms I share this exercise to suggest that there is an alternative route. It is possible to be in control of when you choose to leave an organisation and for you to decide the impact it will have on your life. This is all part of the process of taking a step on your own ladder and looking at your own progress, rather than comparing yourself with someone else...how different this would be if he had been forced out or made to leave on the company’s terms instead. In addition, a further benefit for both parties was avoiding the dreaded ‘performance improvement’ process and any unnecessary legal costs. Therefore, my core message today is be prepared and be ready – and if nothing else, remember, you can control the controllable, taking each step of your personal ladder one at a time, putting you in charge of your future career path. What's there to watch this week? NOT MUCH. Brett & Danielle kick off the episode burying the hatchet about the recent interpersonal drama they experienced on TikTok. Later, they talk about the lack of good things to watch on TV right now and the few things they have checked out, including the newest season of The Bachelor, Riley Keough in The Lodge and Riz Ahmed in Sound of Metal. And because this is a gaming podcast first and foremost, Brett talks about his recent obsession: Hades on the Nintendo Switch.

*Recorded Oct 15, 2020 Brockton has gotten so much press within the last couple of years–and not for some of the most common reasons. There's been an influx of new musical talent and one artist who's stood out to Charlie MaSheen and the team here at CWTFB Radio is a boom-bap loving, lyrically inclined, deep voiced, intense, dark and gloomy rapper who simply goes by his birth name, Jiles. Prior to becoming a fraction of the Brockton-based musical powerhouse, Van Buren Records, Jiles made his entry into the MA rap scene as the creator of a blog titled One Van as his way to stay connected to Hip-Hop and create the kind of content he felt was much needed at the time. He then clique'd up with some close friends and officially began his journey as an artist. His first body of work titled "Fuck Jiles" is an introduction into the mind of a comedically influenced young Black man who also went through the trenches of the hood and turned his mishaps into magic. Jiles followed up with a very short but satisfying EP titled "It's Not Much, But It's Mine", which is what inspired the name of this episode, and also recently released a Deluxe version of the extended play with more content for his core fans. Join Chizz and Jiles in this 1 on 1 as they go through the life of the artist, the formation of his group/label, what he has going on next and also a #RedCupsAndRap freestyle! BE SURE TO GO GET THAT NEW EP "IT'S NOT MUCH, BUT IT'S MINE (DELUXE)" AND ALSO "FUCK JILES" ON ALL DSPs! --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/cwtfbradio/support

When we are imagining this time, next year, are we limiting our thinking to how we avoid the conditions we faced in this summer? Or are there bigger questions we can ask? ShutterstockEditor’s note: Today, on Trust Me, I’m An Expert, we hear from Clare Cooper, design lecturer at the University of Sydney, on how futuring techniques can help us think collectively about life under a drastically hotter climate. Her accompanying essay is below. Australians, no matter where we are, are coming to acknowledge that our summers – and our autumns, winters and springs – are forever changed. We are, bit by bit, reviewing our assumptions. Whether we need to radically rethink our calendars, or question where and how we rebuild homes and towns, we face a choice: collective, creative adaptation or increased devastation. How might this time next year feel - anxious, hot and sticky? How might it smell - like bushfire smoke? How might it taste - would seafood and berries still be on the menu in future summers as our climate changes? (One of my favourite placards at a recent climate rally was “shit climate = shit wine”). When we think about this time next year, are we freaking out, or are we futuring? How might the Australian summer of the future look, taste, smell? Shutterstock Read more: Why we should make time for remembering the future Collaborative futuring in a climate crisis “Futuring” is sometimes called futures studies, futurology, scenario design or foresight thinking. It has been used in the business world for decades. Futuring means thinking systematically about the future, drawing on scientific data, analysing trends, imagining scenarios (both plausible and unlikely) and thinking creatively. A crucial part of the process is thinking hard about the kind of future we might want to avoid and the steps needed to work toward a certain desired future. But futurists aren’t magical people who sweep in and solve problems for you. They facilitate discussions and collaboration but the answers ultimately come from communities themselves. Artists and writers have been creatively imagining the future for millennia. Futuring is a crucial part of design and culture-building. My research looks at how futuring can help communities work toward a just and fair transition to a drastically warmer world and greater weather extremes. Collaborative futuring invites audiences to respond to probable, possible, plausible and preposterous future scenarios as the climate crisis sets in. This process can reveal assumptions, biases and possible courses of action. Cars lie damaged after a surprise hailstorm hit Canberra in January. Extreme weather events are predicted to worsen as the climate changes. AAP Image/Mick Tsikas Read more: How we forecast future technologies Getting creative Futuring is not predicting futures. It’s a way of mixing informed projections with imaginative critical design to invite us to think differently about our current predicaments. That can help us step back from the moment of panic and instead proactively design steps to change things for the better – not 20 years from now, but from today. If you peeked into a futuring workshop with adults, you might see a lot of lively conversations and a bunch of post-it notes. For kids, you might see them making collages, or creating cardboard prototypes of emerging technology. You might have done some futuring today, talking with friends and family about changes you might make as it becomes obvious our summers will grow only hotter. I’ve seen futuring occur at my daughter’s school, where children are invited to imagine being on the other side of a difficult problem, and then work out the steps needed to get there. 13-year-old protester Izzy Raj-Seppings poses for a photograph outside of Kirribilli House in Sydney late last year. AAP Image/Steven Saphore Read more: 'This situation brings me to despair': two reef scientists share their climate grief Futuring a just transition to a warmer world When we are imagining this time next year, are we limiting our (mostly city-dwelling) thinking to how we avoid the conditions we faced in this summer? For example, are we thinking about staying away from bushfire-prone areas, or buying air purifiers and face masks? For those who can afford it, are we thinking about booking extended overseas holidays? Or are we challenging each other to think beyond such avoidance strategies: to imagine a post-Murdoch press and a post-fossil fuel lobby future? Can we imagine ways to respond to extreme weather beyond individual prepping? Including a diverse range of voices, especially Indigenous community members, is crucial to a just transition to a warmer world. We can’t allow a changed climate to mean comfortable adaptation for a wealthy elite while everyone else suffers. Many of us have joined climate protests in recent months and years. But more work needs to be done and bigger questions asked. What steps are needed to meet demands for public ownership of a renewable energy system: more support for those battling and displaced by bushfires? How do we work toward First Nations justice, including funding for Indigenous-led land management, jobs on Country, and land and water rights? It is not enough to pin an image of our future to a wall and pray we get there. Short term fixes in the form of drought or emergency relief won’t address the fact that extreme weather events are not going away. Responsible, useful futuring mixes equal parts of imagination and informed projections. It’s not wild speculation. Futuring practitioners draw on scientific and social data, and weave it with the stories, concerns and desires of those present to find new ways into a problem. Short term fixes in the form of drought or emergency relief won’t address the fact that extreme weather events are not going away. Shutterstock Read more: What would a fair energy transition look like? Speaking of catastrophe to avoid it Former Labor prime minister Paul Keating last year criticised the Morrison government for what he saw as a lack of vision: If you look, there is no panorama. There’s no vista. There’s no shape. There’s no talk about where Australia fits in the world. Prime Minister Scott Morrison’s performance during the unfolding bushfire horrors – widely perceived as lacklustre – suggests growing thirst for bolder vision on dealing with “the new normal.” In their book Design and the Question of History, design scholars Tony Fry, Clive Dilnot and Susan Stewart argue that we should speak of catastrophe “in order to avoid it”. Polish-born sociologist Zygmunt Bauman wrote prophesying the advent of that catastrophe as passionately and vociferously as we can manage is the sole chance of making the unavoidable avoidable — and perhaps even the inevitable impossible to happen. We owe it to those worst affected by the climate crisis – and to ourselves – to dedicate time to collaborative futuring as we rethink life in an increasingly hostile climate. The app we hate to love. The app that we spend the most time on. The app we obsess over and can't seem to ignore... You know... girl I'm talking about the ol' gram. Instagram has quickly become our generations new 'hang-out' and while we are hyper-focused on using it for business, is it actually WORKING to grow our brands? Is the time spent giving us the return we THINK? The lost hours coming up with micro-blogs for the feed, to the dozens of stories we perfect... and filter... and post... what's it actually DOING for us? I'm going to be the first, and probably the ONLY person you follow that is going against the grain by saying, NOT MUCH. Not today anyway... While IG used to be the place to grow a solid, engaged, organic following we've learned the hard way (once again) that when YOU don't own something, it can be taken away. BAM. Just like that. From 6% engagement and thousands of new followers every month to -1% engagement, shadow boxed posts, hashtags that are hidden, followers that don't see my posts, and TONS of time wasted - here's my unpopular theory... I'm very excited to share with you today's episode all about how to make strategic noise. I'm gonna share with you a video ad we created recently, AND teach you a little bit more about the script that we used to make it. I know I've talked about this a little bit in a previous episode (or two) about how we wrote the script for themlmfunnel.com ad. Go to themlmfunnel.com if you wanna look at it. But I'm actually gonna put it right here in this episode! And the ONLY reason is because I want you to watch what I'm doing. I couldn’t care less if you actually go get the thing that it's promoting. What I want you to see is how I'm using things that people are already familiar with in their ads. HOW TO MAKE STRATEGIC NOISE I have been studying more P.T. Barnum… And if you do not know who he is, P.T. Barnum is famous for his circus that he created. He's The P.T. Barnum Circus. But he didn't start doing that till later on in his life… He had a museum that he would promote… And he's kind of a serial entrepreneur. One of the things that P.T. Barnum was most known for was his bizarre ways of gaining attention. And to be a marketer is to be an attention-getter. THAT’S what I'm gonna show you guys in this ad. https://youtu.be/oC1U_Q2yBXM One of the things that he did way back in the mid 1800s when he had this museum was, he went and he found this homeless guy… He walked up to the homeless guy, and he told him to: Every hour, on the hour, several times a day, carry these bricks… He was supposed to put a brick on the corner of all these streets around the museum… And walk around, every so often, throughout the day, take one brick and replace it with the one that's on another street corner… Then walk to the next corner, and replace that brick with another one… And go to the next corner, without saying anything… … That was it. Then he was supposed to go drink and take a nap. It was only 30 minutes before this bizarre act was causing attention around his museum, and thus he would get more sales. I think he paid him 15 cents an hour to do this. He did A LOT of really bizarre, random things. He was the first one to bring an ELEPHANT to America. He's the first one to do a lot of things. And what he was great at was using strategic noise. MAKING A VIDEO AD FOR STRATEGIC NOISE I believe the world is noisy already… I'm not telling you to make strategic noise for noise's sake. However, to be a marketer… Multi-level marketer Network marketer ... You are a marketer, but the industry is mis-named. It is largely mis-named, because they're like, "You can only use these kinds of noise." And it's not really strategic noise… It's like a whisper. I want you to see how I am creating noise. This will make sense when you actually watch it. I'm doing bizarre things… And you don't need an explanation. People NEED curiosity in their lives. They WANT excitement. I challenge you: To watch what I'm doing and how I'm orchestrating it. HINT: Don't stop when you see me get to the offer ;) I strongly encourage you to go and watch the YouTube version of this podcast episode because you’ll actually SEE the ad… The jump cuts How fast we did I had a professional video ad team follow me around for a day. We shot this ad and we've been going back and forth on different cut styles, when to take this out, and put this in, and what kind of words to put on the screens etc. I'm using an actual script in my head… And then I'm doing a few weird, bizarre things that make no sense for the sake of gaining attention. MLM VIDEO AD In the ad, I'm also making fun of a few things that are widely known inside of MLM. Q: Why would I do that? A: Because they're widely known inside of MLM. One of my favorite Shark Tank episodes was where they turned down funding for this guy because… They loved his product, they liked him, they thought it was amazing. BUT the only reason why none of them funded him is because of this… This is what he said. "I like it, I like you, it's amazing. The only issue is it would cost millions of dollars to educate the market, in order for them to buy this." I was like, "Oh man, that's a powerful statement right there." You don't have to be this prolific genius. The market will tell you what’s already known. If you're like, “How do I make ads for this or that?”, “How do I gain attention?”, “How do I gain more noise?” You need to join in the place where they already are, and then take them to a new spot. Watch the ad and I want you to do something for me… When you learn something cool or observe something, please pause it and take notes. One of the ways I learned how to write scripts in my early days was to watched A LOT of videos. I would press play and then press pause and write it down. Q: Did that take few hours? A: Yeah, it did. Actually, sometimes it'd take a few days. But I internalized it on such a deep level. It meant I could replicate it and do the same, which is why we're doing all this. Take out a piece of paper. LEARN FROM THIS VIDEO AD What I'm good at is causing buying emotions. When you start to feel the buying emotions, pause and take note as to why you're feeling the buying emotion. This is one of the greatest educations I could give you on this podcast. Make notes when you: Start to feel the buying emotions Learn something new When you see something bizarre I'm doing this to fight false beliefs and poke fun of certain things. But there's a spot where I switch gears and start pitching. Watch that. Try and answer these questions: Why am I pitching what I am? Who am I pitching it to? Who do you think my target buyer is? … Thinking this way turns you into a marketer. You DID NOT become a marketer because you joined MLM. I needed to turn you into a marketer. Dissect this ad and go slow. Watch what I do to create scarcity and urgency. What do I do to walk them through buying? What do I do afterwards for all the knee-jerk reactions I know people are gonna have when they watch it. Watch it the whole way through… Do it a few times because it's very, very powerful. It's gonna be powerful for you seeing how us marketers actually orchestrate strategic noise. THE MLM FUNNEL VIDEO AD Is success in MLM even possible today? Well, let me ask you this…. Will this TV blow up with four pounds of explosives under it? BOOM! Whoa! I'm Steve, and MLM is stuck in the '90s! HELLO, the Internet is here! MLM is loaded with old and outdated methods, like… The three-way phone call! "Hey, you wanna make some money? I don't know how it works, but you gotta talk to this guy. Let me three-way you in." OR making a huge list of your friends and family that are uninterested and bugging them… The next question I have to answer is, “What island will I buy?!” OR have you ever attended one of those home parties that turns out to be fake? "Thanks all for coming to my party. I can't wait for you all to buy my product and fuel my future and retirement, 'cause I really haven't learned how to sell." "This party sucks!" I'm totally kidding… But serious. VIDEO AD FOR NETWORK MARKETING SECRETS The point is that us Internet marketers are playing the MLM game completely different than you've likely been taught. So to be clear, YES, I am in an MLM and I'm actively building… And YES, I'm actually using the Internet to do so. That whole thing that you can't use the Internet in your MLM… … It's how I'm using the Internet and Facebook and funnels that might surprise you. While I personally sell a lot of programs and courses about my own MLM methods, the purpose and point of this video is to show you another new fascinating book that will help walk you into modern MLM. It's called Network Marketing Secrets and it's by Russel Brunson. While old-school MLM tactics can work, it's like putting Han Solo against Superman. Come on, CGI is here. DIFFERENT WAYS TO MAKE STRATEGIC NOISE We do MLM DIFFERENTLY. Network Marketing Secrets will teach you how we're really recruiting online, automated, without talking to anybody. Regardless of what your friends or family say, your up or downline, corporate HQ, or your dog says… Internet is part of the MLM business. So, congrats. Throw a party because you're about to learn how big MLMers actually do this. THE MLM FUNNEL WITH STEVE LARSEN The biggest question I get is: “Steve, how are you using the internet for your personal MLM today?” To be clear, I am, but it's HOW that matters, and it's HOW that you're probably interested in. Facebook doesn't easily let you drive ads to MLM, and most MLMs won't let you say their name on the internet, which is stupid. Despite that, I am using the internet to grow my personal downline and sell products. MLM is changing, and you're probably feeling that, right? It's why I created a mini-course… To show you HOW I'm doing this all today. It's called The MLM Funnel and you can get it at themlmfunnel.com. I'm doing this because you might not know WHERE to start in all of this and, secondly, because there's a cool new book by Russell Brunson called Network Marketing Secrets that I want you to go get. He's a cool guy, so I'm talking about this book a lot lately. I'm also going to give you a little bribe so you go get the book through my link. How evil of me. When you go to themlmfunnel.com and get Russell's new book, Network Marketing Secrets, I'm going to give you my Pre-built Recruiting Funnel Template, the Hack MLM Downline Onboarding Course, which is how I auto-train my downline when they join my team. ALSO, a discount ticket to my next event called OfferMind so that you can learn to outvalue your upline and downline. If you want all this for FREE, just go to themlmfunnel.com now and get a crash course into prebuilt funnel templates that I'm using with my own downline now. Again, just go to themlmfunnel.com and buy Russell Brunson's new book there, and I'll send you all those bonuses for free.

Trump is back from a BIG summit with Japan! And what did he accomplish? NOT MUCH. He praised Japan's rivals, bashed Joe Biden and got NOTHING done. What a waste of time (AND taxpayer's money!)We talk to John Bennett from Roll Call, Matt Fuller from HuffPost, and Lauren Gambino from The Guardian!
Welcome to Talking Tunes by Girls Are Awesome where we deconstruct female music artists and the processes around one specific song. Talking Tunes is hosted by producer and songwriter Vakle. This episode is centered around badass rapper and singer from New Zealand, Ladi6, who dives into her more than ten years of experience in the music industry with the enthusiasm of a proper maverick. We caught her while she's busy on tour with the reggae soul band, Fat Freddy's Drop, and our conversation spans these touring topics to her transition from rapper to solo singer to her studio life and being a working mother. The song in focus is called "Walk Right Up", a warm reggae tune off her 2010 album, Time is Not Much. Tune in! Girls Are Awesome is a media platform and brand dedicated to increasing and redefining female representation. What's better than a girls' weekend at the beach? We'd say...NOT MUCH! In today's episode, we hit on all your favorite topics in one trip. We recap our recent trip to the beach with precious friends that included experiencing some noteworthy Southern staples including Williams Bros. in Philadelphia, Miss., and the Flora-Bama yacht club. We also talk through the very real mom guilt of being away while your kiddos are sick. A few links you'll need for the episode: SNL's "Fashion Coward" skit and Laura's super fun seersucker cropped pants. Johnna's loving her new swimsuit cover up from Aerie and indulging in all the oysters she could could handle while at the beach. Laura's new Lucky sandals are going to be her go-to summer shoe and she's loving her new Tall Cotton candle -- sent with love from Super Fan Debbie from The Rustic Rehab. We hope you'll laugh your way through this episode with us and maybe even add some things to your bucket list for you next trip to The Sip and/or the beaches of Alabama! Tell a friend! Summer is over, let's do that hockey - The dog days are (nearly) over and hockey is (almost) back. Deb and Erika catch up on what’s gone down in the Post-Tavares summer trade season (Not Much*), what RFA’s without contracts are making us clutch our pearls, who’s going to be this year’s Tavares and, of course, the Nate Schmidt controversy. We also gripe about Toronto being so darn wholesome and talk about our hopes and fears for the 2018-2019 season because “predictions” are a fools game and honestly, were we not all schooled in the dangers of expectations by last year’s Vegas Golden Knights? In this episode’s “What the Puck” we answer a listeners question and dig into buyouts - what they are, how they’re used and how the #*!^ the Caps pulled off that Orpik deal. And finally, it’s training camp season which means, Rookie Games! Deb waxes poetic on the good hockey boys and their gosh-darn-go-get-em spirit. Have a hockey question, comment or observation? Do YOU know how players are selected for the NHL media weekend? Drop us an email or tweet and let us know! Gold Key Comics Vol. 1. The first company to produce Star Trek comics was Gold Key. Armed in the beginning with only production art and never having seen the show, these comics give fans a picture of what Star Trek might have been without the philosophy and hope for the future Roddenberry instilled in the franchise. In this episode of Literary Treks hosts Matthew Rushing and Dan Gunther go back to issues 1 though 3 of the Gold Key comics, collected in IDW's stunning Volume 1. We discuss the impact of creators who had never seen Star Trek beyond publicity stills and how this impacts the look, feel and interpretation of Star Trek, asking the question; "If this was what Star Trek had been, would it have lasted 50 years?". We walk through each issue and conclude with our ratings for the first 3 issues. In our news segment we talk about the upcoming Star Trek/Green Lantern crossover as well as take a look at the last issue of the Trek/Apes series.
