Not all hauntings start with creaking floors or ghostly whispers—some begin with a cat. Twelve-year-old Bella from Colorado loved staying up late to watch TV, but one night, both televisions in her house turned on at the same time. Then her cat, Chloe, began staring into a cubby—growling, hissing, and refusing to go near the spot where their other cat, Luis, had once slept before he passed away. When Bella tried to calm Chloe, she was scratched so badly she bled, and the cat's terror only grew. Soon Chloe was hissing at empty spaces, refusing to stay in her favorite spot, and Bella began seeing shadows dart past her door—doors that she swore she'd latched shut. Was it just a frightened cat reacting to grief—or had the spirit of Luis the cat come home to reclaim his place? A haunting tale of loyalty, loss, and the thin line between comfort and fear, this real ghost story proves that sometimes, love doesn't end at the rainbow bridge. #RealGhostStoriesOnline #TrueGhostStory #GhostCat #PetAfterlife #ParanormalEncounters #ColoradoHaunting #AnimalSpirits #CatHaunting #AfterlifeConnections #HauntedPets #SupernaturalPodcast #SpiritAnimals Love real ghost stories? Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. On today's episode, we sit down with Jesse Katz, the visionary founder and winemaker behind Aperture Cellars—a label that's redefining the future of fine wine through precision, storytelling, and stunning design. From collaborating with A-list celebrities to building one of the most architecturally striking wineries in California, Jesse shares his journey of blending innovation with tradition in an industry steeped in legacy. Website: aperture-cellars.com Instagram: aperturecellars BACK STORY EARLY ADVENTURES to legendary vineyards and wineries around the world with his father, photographer Andy Katz, gave Colorado-native Jesse Katz a profound respect for the creative art of winemaking. Jesse creates distinct, nuanced wines for his brands Aperture Cellars and Devil Proof Vineyards; while serving as a consulting winemaker for some of the world's most prestigious wines.   Inspired from an early age, Jesse dived into the wine industry and has since became one of the most exciting — and accomplished — winemakers in the world. Jesse's diverse experience spanning 25 harvests at wineries, along with his desire to travel, fed his aspiration to learn from the best in the industry, including Pétrus in Bordeaux, as well as time on the winemaking teams at Screaming Eagle Winery and Robert Foley Winery in Napa Valley, and Viña Cobos and Bodega Noemia in Argentina. In 2010, Jesse was the youngest-hired head winemaker in the U.S. at Lancaster Estate where, during his five-year tenure, he orchestrated the building of the new Roth winery, production facility, and tasting room, and received 90+ scores on every wine scored by the Wine Advocate, and garnered Lancaster Estate's inclusion on the list of Wine Spectator's Top 100 Wines. In 2013, Wine Enthusiast named Jesse one of its 40 Under 40 Tastemakers and he was also the first winemaker on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in 2014. As a consulting winemaker for some of the biggest names in entertainment, including Von Miller, Tony Hawk and Justin Timberlake, in 2017, Jesse's wine collaboration with Shep Gordon, The Setting, earned acclaim as the most expensive wine in the world. Jesse enjoys putting his craft to work raising funds for good causes, non-profits, and charity events. All large format bottles of Devil Proof and Aperture are donated to charitable auctions along with numerous cases of wine and custom winery experiences each year. Through travels with his photographer father, winemaker Jesse Katz developed a profound passion for wine and winemaking that has shaped his career. As a child and young adult, it was through his father's work that Jesse was first introduced to the art of winemaking, where he quickly recognized the importance of terroir and balance of the winemaker's influence, landing him on a path he has followed ever since. Jesse's winemaking philosophy is a combination of diverse hands-on experience and knowledge passed on to him from some of the greatest winemaking legends while working at some of the most renowned wineries around the world. One core ethos has always prevailed though: evolution. Jesse is always learning, always evolving and constantly trying new things to achieve greater excellence.  When it comes to the production methods, Jesse and his team are constantly modifying their fermentation applications based on different vineyards and fruit quality year to year. Each vintage calls for a tailored barrel fermentation approach on both Aperture reds and whites. Early extraction brings fleshy, ripe characteristics; while extended maturation ensures structure and length from each grape variety. A combination of warm and cool fermentation is completed on all varieties.   SUBSCRIBE TO ICONIC HOUR If you enjoyed today's podcast, I'd be so appreciative if you'd take two minutes to subscribe, rate and review ICONIC HOUR. Erin Cain didn't grow up around horses but eventually was exposed to them and the remarkable abilities they have to facilitate healing for a wide range of individuals.  A series of life events caused her to move from her native northeast to the Colorado Rockies and today, she's the co-founder, owner, and operator of Grace Reins Equine Therapy. In this episode she describes the personal hardships she's overcome and the work she now does rescuing and “gentling” wild mustangs, then working with these animals to provide therapy to the diverse group of individuals who come to Grace Reins for healing.    Chapters:  00:00 Erins's East Coast Roots  Host Bill Burke introduces Erin Cain, founder of Grace Reins, a therapeutic horse organization. Erin shares her early life growing up on Long Island in a blue-collar family, far from horses, and how she eventually moved to California.  03:12 Discovering Equine Therapy  Erin recounts her first exposure to equine therapy in Connecticut at High Hopes, a major program.   07:22 Grace Reins: Founding & Mission  Erin discusses her journey from volunteering at High Hopes to getting certified in therapeutic horsemanship. She details her move to Colorado in 2013 and the eventual establishment of Grace Reins, emphasizing the inspiration she drew from Special Olympics events.  11:12 Rescuing Wild Mustangs  Erin introduces her partner Joe and explains how their shared passion for wild mustangs led to their collaboration. She highlights Grace Reins' unique approach of rescuing and gentling wild mustangs, integrating them into their therapy programs.  15:04 The Art of Gentling Wild Horses  Erin explains the process of gentling wild mustangs, referencing Monty Roberts' methods of compassionate training. She illustrates how this process teaches respect and patience, which are crucial lessons also applicable to human interaction.  19:05 Mustangs and Human Healing  Erin explores the profound connection between rescued mustangs and clients, especially veterans, who find a mirror in these traumatized yet resilient animals. This shared experience of overcoming adversity fosters hope and a sense of worth for both the horses and the individuals.  22:08 Therapy with Veterans & Children  Erin details the therapeutic process at Grace Reins, focusing on groundwork, grooming, and non-verbal communication to help clients, including female wounded warriors and children, downregulate and connect with horses. She describes how the horses' slower heartbeats and meditative presence aid in relaxation and emotional regulation.  27:13 Nature's Impact: Beyond the Screen  Erin discusses the benefits of children spending time outdoors with horses, moving away from screens and engaging their senses. She highlights how this environment helps children develop emotional regulation and a sense of calm, echoing the concept of nature deficit disorder.  31:05 Personal Resilience & Drive  Erin shares a deeply personal story about the loss of her brother, a New York City firefighter, on 9/11, and how this tragedy fuels her dedication to helping others. She connects her experiences with her father's firefighting career and her brother's memory to her empathetic approach in therapeutic work, especially with veterans.  38:01 Finding Equine Therapy Near You  Erin discusses the widespread availability of equine therapy and directs listeners to PATH, the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship, for finding local programs. She also offers to personally assist those seeking therapeutic horsemanship options, emphasizing the global reach of this impactful work.

In our last article, we talked about Debunking the Physical vs. Non-Physical Myth. The entire discussion ended up on our podcast, Driving To The Rez, and even turned into music. The episode was then followed by another one where the panelists talked about what “wind” meant in “bananas and wind”... for about two hours. We tried sharing some interesting facts about reality creation and the physical universe, but we don't think it quite landed. It appeared that “wind,” meaning “toots,” was more interesting. The panelists were sure their brains did not turn to “mush” when we spoke, but we find it hard to believe that five highly intelligent beings would talk about toots or wind for two hours when the reality of the universe was a possible discussion - unless their brains were well and truly mushed. And yes, we have been asked what “mush” is. Mush is a technical term meaning that your brain melts into a mass of jumbled thoughts in which even toots seem interesting. One of the pieces of guidance we had coming in was to not leave a mark on the physical universe. This is hard to do for most people, as not only do they leave marks - or want to - but they are, in fact, co-creating the physical universe on a continuous basis, milli-moment by milli-moment.We often find ourselves in situations that are different from what we have experienced in the past, and we look around for familiarity. Familiarity often provides data we can use to figure out what is happening. For example, if we see an image that has a head, four legs, a tail, and two pointy-up ears, we already know the image is that of some sort of four-legged animal. Once I add the next descriptor, your mind will go to only one animal: “in the image, the tail is moving quickly from side to side, wagging.”This descriptor builds an image from things you are familiar with in your mind's memory banks. In the same way, we walk through life experiencing “images” from the different senses and looking for points of familiarity to figure out what is happening. In our case, not much is familiar to us, and we have to tap into the human collective - or another person's mind - to find the common factor that will give an indication of what is happening at that precise point in time. You see this often in young kids, when something is happening that they are not familiar with they will look at the adults around to “learn” how to respond or react to it.But even then, after figuring out what is happening, in our case we end up with our eyes and mouth open in awe.Not leaving a mark on the human co-creation of physical reality is done by walking inside other people's creations. Their creations can be amplified with our presence, but not necessarily so. We can try to influence those co-creations to go our way - to make things happen that make our existence here more pleasant - but it is a bit of a waste of time. People's co-creations are like a very fast train on smooth and clear tracks. Fast and unwavering. For example: lack of money. There is no lack of money. However, in many co-creators this is a real thing, and money is hard to come by. Why they have chosen a life where money is hard to come by is a mystery, but there is not much we can do about it.It is fascinating to watch, however - although sometimes uncomfortable to “allow.” The drive to “leave a mark” on that or similar situations is big. But even if we try, it often falls on deaf ears or is quickly forgotten. One of the things we have figured out, however, is that if we “ask” the human collective if it is OK to influence or inform the population about something, and they say “yes,” we can go ahead and do it. Most of the time, if the item is big, there is a pushback in physicality to stop us from sharing - and then wind and bananas come flying in. We smile, shrug our shoulders, and move on.Did you know the desert in Colorado is covered in anthills? They make them out of grains of sand. Even the smallest beings build their world… grain by grain. The discussion doesn't stop here - listen to the full podcast episode for unfiltered insights from Inelia and our panelists. Send us a textRHOP-A Chin Check and a Side of ShadePodcast Summary: RHOP S10 E2 — “Mint to Be Shady”This week's Real Housewives of Potomac episode starts with Ashley's Second Bloom Ball — and things bloom straight into drama. Ashley wants proof of Stacey's divorce, saying, “We can be a lot of things, but we can't be liars.” That sets the tone for a night of shade and shifting alliances.Wendy tries to play peacemaker, but Ashley quickly stirs things up by calling Stacey out for lying. Stacey feels attacked and confused as the women gang up on her, while Karen's friend Cookie makes a cameo ahead of Karen's upcoming birthday. We meet new Housewife Tia, who reveals her Nigerian royal lineage and her upscale lifestyle — a total contrast to the other ladies. Meanwhile, Ashley throws in an “epic surprise”: a stripper. Because, of course.Later, Wendy and Stacey meet for a low-key catch-up (sparkling water instead of champagne). Stacey drops two bombshells — she's back with her husband and she's launching a cannabis line. Wendy's face says it all: girl, the math isn't mathing. We get a glimpse into Angel's life in the DMV, her NFL hubby Bobby, and their stunning Colorado mansion. She's adjusting to life as the group's “rookie,” but as she says, “I'm not a rookie woman.”At Tia's house, we see her family dynamic and Giselle's first impressions. Giselle, as usual, keeps the pot stirring — especially after learning about a supposed “chin check” between Angel and Kiarna. The “Truth and Tranquility” yoga party turns into “Lies and Foolishness,” according to Giselle. Angel tries to keep things zen, but once Giselle brings up the “chin check,” chaos follows. Kiarna ends up apologizing, and the ladies try to regroup with mints (for more reasons than one). Ashley claims the mints were meant for Stacey's “hot breath,” which adds insult to injury.During the fire circle, Stacey calls Ashley over to confront her about questioning her divorce and shows what she says is a legal notification — but Giselle immediately calls it fake. In this episode of Toni Unleashed, Toni welcomes Sean Zyer, founder of Earth Buddy Pet, for an in-depth conversation about the science and power of functional mushrooms for pets. Sean shares how his company began a decade ago with full-spectrum CBD and evolved into crafting small-batch, Colorado-grown supplements that support pets' immune systems, cognition, and overall health. Toni and Sean dive deep into the differences between fruiting bodies and mycelium, why both matter, and how to evaluate the quality of mushroom products. They explore the unique properties of five core mushrooms—reishi, lion's mane, turkey tail, cordyceps, and agarikon—and their roles in immune modulation, cognitive health, allergy support, and longevity. The conversation also touches on sourcing transparency, USDA organic cultivation, and how consistency and patience are key when introducing supplements. Sean explains why mushroom blends can benefit pets of all ages and how simple, sustainable approaches to health can make a long-term difference for animals and their humans alike. Send us a textAustin Keeney, Matt Nelson, and Dylan Coon are all back together to discuss Iowa State's disappointing loss to Colorado. Austin had an unfortunate weekend dealing with unruly fans and high prices in Boulder. The guys try to make sense of how a team can have 3 kicker injuries in one year on top of everything else. Plus, what is left to play for. We also have another check in on what coaches have already been fired and who else may join them. That naturally leads to the Matt Campbell question, and if there's reason to be worried about him leaving again.Thankfully, it's almost basketball season, so the guys break down Iowa State's spot in the first AP poll of the year, who the most important newcomers are on the roster, the other top teams in the Big 12, and more. Finally, we touch base with all our favorite NBA teams before the season tips off.

In this powerful episode of Hope for the Caregiver, Peter Rosenberger shares a deeply personal story from Aurora, Colorado — a chance encounter with a frightened young woman that turned into a moment of grace and truth. Instead of debating or preaching, Peter reminded her of a truth many caregivers and wounded souls need to hear: “You are worth protecting.” Drawing from Hebrews 7:25, he reflects on Christ's ongoing intercession for us and calls listeners to join Him by offering compassion to those who are hurting — even when their pain looks different from our owntranscript_2025-10-14T16_37_22.…. Peter is then joined by psychologist and fellow caregiver Dr. Barry Jacobs, author of The Caregiver Answer Book. Together they unpack the emotional weight of caregiving — deferred grief, family conflict, sibling rivalries, and the burnout that comes when caregivers try to “muscle through.” Jacobs urges caregivers to acknowledge their grief, be kind to themselves, and even reclaim joy, reminding them there's no such thing as a perfect caregiver — only “good enough” ones who show up with lovetranscript_2025-10-14T16_37_22.…transcript_2025-10-14T16_37_22.…. Peter also shares updates from Standing With Hope's prosthetic limb outreach in Ghana, marking 20 years of service to the wounded. And at the caregiver keyboard, he performs “His Eye Is on the Sparrow,” reflecting on its origins and why this timeless song continues to comfort weary hearts. It's not a performance piece, he says — it's a song “sung in the watches of the night” when despair looms, a reminder that God sees, knows, and watches over ustranscript_2025-10-14T16_37_22.….
