The day before Iran had bombed a US Military base, ensuring a permanent break of the ceasefire. Trump's attack was mainly financial. The blockade was costing Iran $400 million a day, while US Central Command (CENTCOM) pounded targets in wave after wave of strikes on bridges, trains and other infrastructure that would affect any trade Iran could do outside the country.
