In life, we focus on the wrong things sometimes. We chase money, goals, power, control, and the ever-elusive pursuit of what's waiting at the top of the mountain only to discover, we could have everything and more if we would simply just let go. It's not a bad thing to want more, but our focus and intentions behind what we want should not be placed in things, but people. Sam Kafuman is CEO of On The Level Construction, Entrepreneurial Coach, and host of the “Never Stop Building” Podcast. He is a family-first man, married to his wife of 5 years and has 2 children ages 12 and 9. Today's episode is bringing you a conversation you won't hear that's had between 2 men often. The topic is mainly focused on family. Sam brings a genuine flow to today's show as he talks about taking his family for granted. Focusing on money. Chasing the dream. Sam shares how making one simple shift in his focus allowed everything else to fall in place in his life simply by focusing on his family. Tom and Sam make the link between business and the similarities of having a family. They discuss the main mission of a CEO and why it's important to implement everything first and clean up later. Tom shares one unique approach he took to put himself center stage in front of 4,000 people at an industry conference for 3 hours. This is one transformative episode you don't want to miss. The culture of capitalism and consumption often makes us lose sight of why we work in the first place. In this episode, we'll attempt to uncover what you really want to make work meaningful and joyous. Nigel Clayton is an entrepreneurial business coach/mentor and the owner of Ultrapreneur Success. His method is helping people pull out that leadership part of them without telling them what to do, when to do it, and how to do it, underscoring the importance of figuring out what you really want in life and in business. Join him and host Stephen Jaye as they dive deep into today's culture and the issues being brought to the surface by the recent pandemic and the changes that will come with it. Stay tuned! --- Listen to the podcast here: How To Make Work Meaningful And Joyous With Nigel Clayton Welcome to the show. In this program, we're all about opening up to more possibilities, getting you out of what I call the scripted life, and getting you into the life that you really want. That's going to mean different things for different people. I'm not here to tell you what that thing is, what it means for you, or what your path is going to be. That's for you to figure out, but for a lot of us, that path is going to involve some form of entrepreneurship. Even if you're not specifically starting your own practice or starting your own business, there are aspects of the entrepreneurial mindset that can benefit you in any of these pursuits. I bring to you my guest, Nigel Clayton, who is an Entrepreneurial Coach and Mentor and has been for a few decades. --- Nigel, welcome to the program. Thank you. I appreciate it. Thank you so much for joining us. Having been an entrepreneurial coach for so many years, you have so many insights into what makes certain entrepreneurs succeed and fail. My first question for you is, what is the mindset that anyone needs to adapt before going into any entrepreneurial pursuit? If you can't think about what you want, think about what you don't want. And then think about what's the opposite of that. Click To Tweet I think that's a hard thing to do in a way because the majority of our lives have been trained to be followers, whether it's in school or working for somebody else. Somebody has been there telling us what to do, when to do it, and how to do it. People then get this bright idea of, “I'm going to be an entrepreneur. Everything is going to be great. I got this plan of selling this product or service.” They're all jumping up and down like Tony Robbins and saying, “I'm going to rule the world,” and then they realize after a while what they've gotten themselves into. Part of it is there isn't somebody telling them what to do, when to do it, and how to do it, so a lot of them are not prepared to be in that situation. They either react to it positively and they're able to make the decisions they need to make quickly, or they don't, and if they don't, then they try to find somebody that will help them. Much of the time, that person is going to end up being the next trainer that's going to make them stay being a follower. They need to go from being a follower to being a leader, but you can't train leadership in the entrepreneurial world. Training somebody means they're still following somebody. In Corporate America, since it's a completed structure and there are little pockets of leadership in there, they can be trained within that little pocket. In the entrepreneurial world, everything is their responsibility. They're like on stage. All the lights are on them, everybody can see them, and they got to make all the decisions. That's the biggest problem they have. What I do is help them pull that leadership part of them out of them without telling them what to do, when to do it, and how to do it. I don't tell people what to do. I don't keep them accountable. I don't say, “Did you do this?” It's all of those kinds of things that a lot of people do to try and ge...
Show Notes· His transition from the Corporate Management realm to becoming an Entrepreneur.· He initially, really didn't see himself as a business owner, but came across an article from a business coach that made him rethink where he was in life and asked three questions:1. Are you stuck?2. Do you feel like life could have more for you?3. Do you want to control your schedule?· This was the beginning of the process for his transition out of the Corporate merry-go-round and to take control of his own life, income and schedule.· He hired a business coach to help him have the confidence to make a transition.· When he saw other successful entrepreneurs, he thought of them as ‘another form of human' and had to really see himself as the same kind of person, but just hasn't done the things that he needed to do to become successful yet.· He finally realized that it's not that some are born with the necessary attributes for success and some are not, but that we all have them.· We talked about how taking risks are necessary but sometimes stop people from making decisions or taking a new direction in life.· We touched on the imposter syndrome and how we can have a hard time seeing ourselves as having the skills to be successful.· You don't need to become a different person in this transition, just be more of yourself. What do you need to learn and how can you develop your existing skills to become an entrepreneur?· Keith talks about the pros and cons of risk and leaving your corporate job and asks these questions:· How do you want to live your life?· What example do I want to be for my kids?· Was the transition easy? No. He had some rough days, but his vision for the future lifestyle kept him moving forward.· He helps people to first have a side hustle (part time business) by learning how to make the first sale and then to repeat the process over and over again so that the proof of concept is made valid. · “How many customers do I need to have each month so that I can quit my job.”· He also addressed the questions of:· How do you help people work through the concept of failure and the fear of failure?· How do you help people through the fear of success and to help them recognize the difference?Contact Keith at: https://www.linkedin.com/in/keithjohns/Do you want to start your own Podcast? Jon talks with Henry Daas, Principal and Entrepreneurial Coach of daasKnowledge, about defining what does an entrepreneur looks like today in times of COVID. I started my first biz in 1991 selling, installing, servicing and financing computers to large corporations. Since then I have founded a succession in firms in the e-commerce, finance, real estate and consumer products spaces. For much of the past decade, I have taken my experience as an entrepreneur and used it as a platform to coach other business owners and founders. In addition, in 2019, I self-published a 432-page book on everything you need to know about how to grow and manage your money. I offer a 20-week course where I teach it to you, one-on-one. I also run curated masterminds on business and finance. In my infinite leisure, I write screenplays (for fun), play golf, travel (when not on lockdown), play Catan with my three boys, and do other fun stuff… Connect with Jon Dwoskin: Twitter: @jdwoskin Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/jonathan.dwoskin Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thejondwoskinexperience/ Website: https://jondwoskin.com/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jondwoskin/ Email: jon@jondwoskin.com Get Jon's Book: The Think Big Movement: Grow your business big. Your feedback means so much to me, and I appreciate it so much! -------------------- Hi, I'm Katrina Ruth. I'm a self-made multi-millionaire, and I work with successful badasses like YOU, who kick their OWN ass … and then I kick it a little bit harder. I currently live on the Gold Coast of Australia, and I'm Mum to my two beautiful children, Alyssa and Nathan. I also recently got re-married to their Dad, Enzo. We divorced 5 years ago and are re-married this year! I travel a LOT with my business (sometimes with the fam, sometimes not, a little more restricted these days but still on the go!), and my business allows me to be fully location free. After many MANY years of not going all in, NOT speaking my truth or doing what I really wanted to do in the world, I finally said yes to purpose and sharing my deep soul message, AND to doing the damn work, and now, well – Here we are. I have been fortunate enough to build up an INCREDIBLE online community of driven entrepreneurs and leaders and creators, and each day I get to do what I always wanted to do, which is to motivate, educate, empower and inspire you to press play and create the business and life YOU want. I've made close to $15,000,000 (yes, 15 million dollars) online just by speaking my truth and following the path of my soul, breaking any and all rules that don't feel fuck yes for me, and also – and this is my fave! – really just being ME. Yeah, I might have some fancier stuff now than when I started, but my business was built on, and still runs on, me being the girl who just loves to write and say what needs to be said running around usually in her gym gear as a hot mess, in between being a Mum and just, well, living life! I can't wait to get to know you! Please reach out and tell me about you me anytime, share what most speaks to you from my content, or just say whats up! I love to hear from badasses like you who GET what life is meant to be about! Today's guest is Francine Favret, a Heart-centered Coach, Speaker, and Empowered Empath who assists the ambitious in reconnecting with what matters most and guiding them to inner peace. We explore her life's mission in this interview, leaving people feeling wholly alive and reconnecting with what matters most. Listen in as we unwrap her story and teachings to help people communicate with their true selves. The Journey from a Corporate Career to Entrepreneurial Coach 2:43Francine began working at a young age when her parents operated a convenience shop. She was introduced to the business world in her early twenties and worked in retail for about six years. Through her 25-years long career in corporate leadership and coaching, she enjoyed the element of assisting others in progressing to the next level. 3:57Francine felt a calling to exercise her entrepreneurial gift and leave the corporate world, to have more space in order to reach a larger audience. In 2015, she launched her own coaching company, and the rest is history. Helping People Get to the Next Level Personally 6:08Francine knew she was attracting many high achievers. They were already successful at reaching goals. Still, she thought that what they needed most was the spiritual aspect and getting reconnected to who they are. 7:37She related to these clients, and decided that she needed to pivot. Francine now leads her clients on the path to understand what truly ignites the light in their soul and advance in discovering who they are and what truly matters. Moving Forward with Fear 11:58When something uncomfortable is going on, it’s probably not real fear. Francine explained that genuine fear - fight-or-flight mode – has a real purpose, to help us survive. For the most part, what we experience is a false fear – a false alarm. 13:44Recognizing that uncomfortable feeling and what is holding hour back, will help you break through that barrier. The more you step up, the more you'll be able to conquer it and get there. You have to do the thing. The Universe Is Working for You 17:27Francine trusts Tony Robbins when he says that life happens for us, not for us. She also suggests keeping a journal at the end of each day because writing is powerful. From Anxiety Towards Peace 19:21She mentioned meditate can help, we can have a morning routine of spending time creating space for self-care. A lot of times, that a lot of time, it will manifest in anxiety. It doesn't have to belong but creating that space, which will be helpful. Dealing with Emotions 23:09If there's an individual or situation that is getting in the way of you feeling fulfilled. It's the internal stuff that makes the external world manifest. It could be a certain personality, or it may be a situation. Maybe it's a particular situation. It might be fear. Fear may be providing you with a chance to overcome your fear. Transforming Anxiety to Peace and Serenity 27:46It’s a shift! When we’re off purpose, out of alignment with who we are, our body/mind/spirit will set off an alarm system and it manifests as anxiety. The more we get clear on our purpose, on why we’re here, it gets better. You can start by getting rid of the noise, and listen to what your soul really wants. It’s as simple as just getting still. Francine is launching a six-week course on Transforming Anxiety to Peace and Serenity. The group will work on knowing your purpose; you'll learn what it is, and you'll have tears in your eyes, it's your soul speaking. Go to www.FrancineFavret.com to learn more. Essential Routines and Rituals that Support Wellness 32:02Francine mentioned that walks, meditation, eating cleaner, cutting out a lot of sugar helps to support her wellness. Keeping a clean channel also helps and gives her time and space. Creating an environment, including using essential oils. Providing time in the morning, at least 30 minutes, to just read and feed my spirit. I'm joined today by Alex Charfen for another episode where we'll talk more about the business side of the clinic. Leveraging his experience growing and scaling multiple types of businesses, Alex now devotes his time to coaching entrepreneurs and sharing the lessons he's learned along the way. Among the gems in this episode, he talks about how practitioners have to emphasize their process and results, instead of just their own name and reputation, in order to scale. This can allow clinic owners to build teams and have a business that isn't 100 percent reliant on them as the main provider. Alex also goes on to share some of the unique experiences he's personally had with the Neubie, including accelerating by many months his recovery after bicep tendon reconstruction! Anna is a Certified Professional Coach (CPC) and Energy Leadership Index Master Practitioner (E.L.I. - MP) who trained with the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching. Her mission is to help people embrace their Entrepreneurial Soul - to trust their intuition and take action to pursue their dreams, even when it is intimidating, confusing, or difficult. Throughout her 20 year career in media sales and magazine publishing, Anna has worked with national, international and global teams and brands across Africa, America, Europe, and the Middle East. Seven years ago, she followed her own dream and moved from London to New York City. As an expat who had always been very close to family and friends, being so far away from a support network was challenging even though it was exactly what she wanted. She was far from her comfort zone, in every possible way—a new country, new city, new job, new life! Making such a drastic life change all at once made her realize that change is transformative, but also scary, and it's easy to become stuck or stalled. She now holds workshops and offers team and 1-1 coaching sessions to help New Yorkers and international clients and businesses who are undergoing major life transitions themselves. With a passion for life-long learning Anna is currently completing her certification in Happiness Studies and Advanced COR.E Dynamic training in Transitions. In this episode, we'll be typing entrepreneurial coach Vanessa Zamy. What she does is to help people launch a new business while still keeping their day job. The reason we type people is that we want to stay consistent with the first step in either sales or marketing. That first step is to understand and know exactly who the customer is. By typing a person's personality, we have a doorway into what that customer values. Once you know what guiding principles they live by, you can develop a plan to sell to that type of person more effectively. What makes this episode special is that it doesn't go the direction I had planned. The wheels, so to speak, got off the rails, and the interview turned into a small skirmish over which personality type our guest really is. I violated one of the laws of personality, and I hope that you can learn from my mistake so that you don't suffer the same fate -- which is to lose a sale.
