There's a guy who lives with a deer who moves the deer's mouth while the man sings and it has 65 million views. Gio finds himself watching this during the Yankees games because the Guardians are so non-competitive. We also talked about the injury to Andrew Thomas and how that will affect Daniel Jones and the Giants offense. Jerry returned for his final update of the day and started with the sounds of the Yankees beating the Guardians and the postgame sound. Gerrit Cole called his start, ‘alright'. Francisco Lindor is not concerned about the MVP race, he's trying to win a World Series. Haason Reddick has a new agent and they want to get a deal done with the Jets. Mike Tomlin still hasn't picked a starting QB this week against the Jets. Jerry Jones went on sports radio in Dallas and went at the hosts, saying he could get somebody else to ask the questions. The Moment of The Day: Gio as Woody Johnson talking about the Davante Adams trade. In the final segment of the show, Fireman Ed feels like he's being phased out by the Jets. He's no longer being shown on the jumbotron when the Jets score a TD. Maybe Aaron Rodgers doesn't like him.
Peter opens the podcast with a monologue on Saquon Barkley's so-called "revenge game" this weekend versus the Giants and why the juice doesn't seem to be there. He, then, details his experience at the Bills-Jets game on Monday night, which included meeting 50 Cent and discussing Fireman Ed's lack of JumboTron real estate with Fireman Ed. Bucs OC Liam Coen is this week's guest and he's awesome in detailing Tampa Bay's offensive explosion in New Orleans, what makes Baker Mayfield so special, and why Mike Evans is still the man in the Buccaneers offense.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Bill Belichick does not like the Jets. He does not like Woody Johnson. He does like Fireman Ed.
Boomer said Aaron Rodgers' arm is still strong and he can still make great throws. Rodgers is taking a ton of his with the Jets. No matter how you slice it, the Jets are 2-4, so Gio doesn't care if they're in every game and all the games are close. The season is not over, but they have a lot to fix. A caller is looking forward to the Jets season 14 years from now when Jordan Love is the QB. Jerry returns for an update and starts with Howie Rose as Starling Marte singled in Pete Alonso for a little insurance. The Yankees beat the Guardians thanks in part to a HR by Giancarlo Stanton. We heard Kevin Harlan on the call as Aaron Rodgers threw an interception late that sealed the game for the Bills. In the postgame press conference, Rodgers was basically blaming Mike Williams for the interception. Bill Belichick was on the Manningcast and backed Rob Saleh while also saying he doesn't like the Jets (except for Fireman Ed). He clearly does not like Woody Johnson. Robert Kraft talked about the day Brady left to go to Tampa. He said it was like ‘losing a child' and that Brady cried the whole time. In the final segment of the hour, Gio talked about the ‘For You' section of X and what it's giving him. There's a pic going around of Diddy, J-Lo and Jay-Z that is probably fake.
Hour 1 Lots going on with the local teams but we started with the Mets win over the Dodgers to tie the series 1-1. Gio said the Mets are walking way too many guys. Vientos said he took it personally when they internationally walked Lindor to get to him with the bases loaded. There are a few Mets who are trying too hard at the plate. That's Francisco Alvarez and Jose Iglesias. The Yankees beat the Guardians in game 1 and Carlos Rodon pitched great. You got homers from Juan Soto and Giancarlo Stanton and Weaver shut it down in the pen. Pete Alonso had a great slide into home and a great stretch at first on the huge double play. Jerry is here with his first update of the day and starts with the sounds of the Jets losing to the Bills, 23-20. There were way too many penalties in this game. Rodgers' interception late was a key part of the loss. Jerry has the sounds of John Sterling as Juan Soto homered. We heard from Howie Rose as Mark Vientos hit a grand slam. In the final segment of the hour, Gio said he is irrationally hating Shohei Ohtani. Gio remembers Mike and the Mad Dog loving ratings talk as to who had more viewers yesterday, the Mets, Yankees or Jets. Hour 2 The Jets lost to the Bills last night but the offense did look better. Breece Hall had his best game of the season. But the penalties and mistakes are still there. The interceptions at the end of games are still there. Rodgers is definitely going to miss games this season because of an injury because he is getting hit a lot. They also have a second half issue on offense. If not for a miracle hail mary to close the first half, this game isn't even close. There were a ton of penalties in the game and they had to go back to New York to see what they saw. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the sounds of the Jets missing 2 FGs. Aaron Rodgers talked about the interception and he seems to be blaming Mike Williams. Carlos Rodon had himself a nice night going 6 innings of 3 hit ball with 9 K's. Jerry has the sounds of Howie Rose as Francisco Lindor led off the game with a HR. In the final segment of the hour, this Sunday night's Jets game against the Steelers is going to tell us a lot about the future of the Jets. Boomer said the Jets have lost 3 games by a total of 10 points. They are in every game, unlike the Dallas Cowboys who have been blown out. Hour 3 Boomer said Aaron Rodgers' arm is still strong and he can still make great throws. In the final segment of the hour, Gio talked about the ‘For You' section of X and what it's giving him. There's a pic going around of Diddy, J-Lo and Jay-Z that is probably fake. Hour 4 We talked about the Mets tying the series 1-1. C-Mac said the only way the Mets season is ruined, is if the Yankees beat the Mets in the World Series. Gio disagrees with this. Boomer is only focused on the Dodgers and is not worried about the World Series right now. Boomer wants to enjoy the ride as a Mets fan. Jerry returns for his final up ...

Gio finds it bizarre that Rob Saleh is friendly to and hangs out with Joe Benigno.
There was a female fan at the Cowboys/Chargers game that went viral and people were speculating that she was either an actress that was hired to root for the Chargers for tv purposes, or she was artificial intelligence and not actually there. She is a real person that's a season ticket holder and really into the Chargers. Gio couldn't believe how much this was covered yesterday. Joe Benigno and Fireman Ed are very close now. They used to be enemies. Gio finds it bizarre that Rob Saleh is friendly to and hangs out with Joe Benigno. Jerry returns for an update and has audio from Aaron Rodgers on Pat McAfee talking about his benchmarks for returning from his achilles injury. Gio & Jerry don't understand his whole ‘manifestation' stuff. Did he manifest getting injured? I thought he was manifesting a great season with the Jets. There are rumors that Caleb Williams wants to have a piece of ownership of the team that drafts him. Daniel Jones was on with Kay Adams but doesn't really answer anything. ‘When things get thick, some people shrink' according to Mike Tomlin. The Phillies beat the Diamondbacks 10-0 to take a 2-0 series lead. Kyle Schwarber hit 2 more home runs. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about spreads this week and knockout pool picks. Not so easy this week. There are not many good games this week.
Hour 1 Gio is throwing his full support behind Brian Daboll. He said he is not the next Joe Judge. He is confident they will beat the Commanders, regardless of who is playing QB. He will not bail on Daboll after he was the Coach of the Year last year. That was not a fluke. Gio said he's not Ben McAdoo, he's not ‘an idiot'. Gio thinks best case scenario they will be 6-6 heading into the bye. Realistically they can win 4 of the next 6, if not 5. The Giants faced a lot of good teams so far and now their schedule gets a little softer. It simply doesn't make sense for the Giants to be this bad so it can't possibly continue. Boomer is calling this a ‘silver lining Wednesday'. Boomer thinks Gio is ‘manifesting' positivity for the Giants. Jerry is here for his first update and starts with Aaron Rodgers on with Pat McAfee talking about being on the sideline of the Jets game. When he asked Saleh, he said, ‘we need ya buddy'. Boomer said there is no way Rodgers is playing this season no matter what he says. Daniel Jones was on ‘Up & Adams' and gave us an update on his neck. Jerry Jones talked about Dak taking some ‘licks' on his runs. Micah Parsons is tired of people trashing Dak and the Cowboys. Trevor Lawrence updated us on his knee. The Phillies beat the Diamondbacks 10-0 with homers by Trea Turner and Kyle Schwarber. He hit 2 last night. Max Scherzer pitches for the Texas Rangers tonight. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about Wednesdays being reaction days to Aaron Rodgers going on McAfee. Aaron Rodgers may think he can come back and play this year but that seems impossible. The Jets will need to tell him ‘no' for the first time ever if he tells them he wants to play this year. Boomer doesn't think he will push to play this year. Hour 2 There was a female fan at the Cowboys/Chargers game that went viral and people were speculating that she was either an actress that was hired to root for the Chargers for tv purposes, or she was artificial intelligence and not actually there. She is a real person that's a season ticket holder and really into the Chargers. Gio couldn't believe how much this was covered yesterday. Joe Benigno and Fireman Ed are very close now. Not so easy this week. There are not many good games this week. Hour 3 Gio has been trying to keep it positive this morning. Boomer said the Giants success last year kept them from really rebuilding completely. It was more of a retooling and it hasn't worked out. They gave big money to a few players based on last year and it's not working out. A few callers compare Brian Daboll to Robert Saleh. Jerry returns for an update and starts with Aaron Rodgers on with Pat McAfee. He would not put a timetable on his return. Al Michaels was on with Jimmy Kimmel and they talked about Taylor Swift and how Michaels was unable to describe her during the game. She is going on a World Tour starting in November. Evan Roberts said he cuts his nails in his car. The Phillies beat the Diamondbacks 10-0 to take a 2-0 series lead. Max Scherzer will pitch tonight for the Texas Rangers. In the final segment of the hour, there is a Boomer & Gio Live show meeting today. Al's idea is ‘Schwartzy the Snowman' for Peter Schwartz. Hour 4 We continued talking about ideas for Peter Schwartz at the B&G live show coming up in December. A caller wants to give props to Matt Martin for 900 games played. Jerry returns for an update and starts with Aaron Rodgers on Pat McAfee and Daniel Jones on with Kay Adams. Michael Parsons is tired of people trashing his quarterback and his team. He wants to be on the Olympic flag football team. Jerry has highlights from the Islanders win last night. The Moment of the Day involves ‘Schwartzy The Snowman'. In the final segment of the show, Gio is betting against Max Scherzer and the Texas Rangers tonight because Scherzer sucks in big games and the Astros are desperate.

Hour 4: Jerry asks Boomer, who has a more positive outlook on the Yankees than most, if the team has enough to make a real run this year? Boomer applauds the Yankees for being over .500 but wonders if the latest injury to Carlos Rodon might be too much to overcome. It's a miracle they are over .500 but are in a tough spot moving forward. Jerry wonders if the Mets, despite all of their problems, have a clearer path in the future than the Yankees. Boomer worries about the Yankees pitchers staying healthy and what the Mets nucleus will look like. Is Jeff McNeil a problem? Jerry sees a clearer path for the Mets because of their core and farm system. Boomer would send Brett Baty back down to triple-A for his own good. Boomer would also hire a “hard-ass” manager. Which Yankees players are part of their core? Has Gleyber been their most consistent hitter this season? Boomer thinks there's a toxicity surrounding the Mets and possibly the Yankees too. C-Lo returns for his final update of the day but first, the guys wonder if rebuilding in New York works. Jerry makes Boomer listen to Aaron Boone praise Yankees at bat quality. Dan Campbell is pumped for the season to start. Micah Parsons has lofty goals. In the final segment of the day, a caller explains how he got Joe and Fireman Ed together on the golf course. Jerry wants Boomer to golf with Joe.
Hour 1: Boomer is back after over a week off and Jerry returns as well after missing last week. A lot has happened since they were last here. The Jets played in the Hall of Fame game and Boomer was happy to see Joe Klecko have his well-deserved moment. Jerry was in Texas last week and got to witness first-hand how big the Justin Verlander news was in Houston. He was also surprised how much more attention baseball was getting down there compared to football. Training camp isn't what it used to be. Mekhi Becton barely played Thursday but that's ok. Anthony Rizzo didn't say anything about his concussion symptoms. Is it fair to blame the Yankees for not noticing something was wrong? Boomer has a more optimistic overall view of the Yankees. They've dealt with a ton of injuries but are still somehow over .500. C-Lo is in for Jerry and Boomer reiterates how incredible it is that the Yankees have won as many games as they have this season despite so many injuries. A lot happened in yesterday's Yankees loss to the Astros and Jerry said fans in Houston aren't afraid of the Yankees. In fact, they mock them. Giancarlo Stanton had an embarrassing play on Saturday when he didn't run heading to the plate from 3rd base. Carlos Rodon was awful and is hurt again. Harrison Bader isn't concerned about the team at all. The Mets haven't won since the trade deadline. Jose Ramirez knocked Tim Anderson down in a brawl. In the final segment of the hour, Jerry shares a story of meeting a fan of the show in Houston. Stugotz left Boomer a note volunteering to fill in whenever Gio is out…but what about Jerry? Jerry reviews the ballparks in Houston and Arlington. Hour 2: Jerry wonders how many of the highest-paid pitchers in baseball are actually earning their money. Boomer has a problem with how Max Scherzer pitched but even more with how he acted. Boomer runs through the Mets issues and says losing Edwin Diaz was more impactful than anyone realized at the time. He was the “soul” of the Mets. C-Lo returns for an update and the guys detail their recent injuries. John Sterling couldn't believe the game Jake Meyers had for the Astros on Sunday. Has Giancarlo Stanton been worth what the Yankees are paying him? Aaron Boone defended Stanton not running on Saturday. Whether it's Stanton or Luis Rojas, someone messed up on that play. New Yankee reliever Kenyan Middleton torched his old White Sox team and their lack of rules. In the final segment of the hour, Boomer and Jerry discuss 50,000 Eagles fans showing up to watch a training camp practice. Carson Wentz is still unsigned. It's been some fall for him since being the frontrunner for the MVP. Jalen Hurts and Daniel Jones both cashed in big time after proving themselves last year. Hour 3: Boomer has some fun at Jerry and Eddie's expense for not being in football mode. There has been a lot of turnover in the coaching ranks this offseason, especially at the coordinator spots. Jerry thinks Patrick Mahomes is underpaid. When will Joe Burrow get his extension? A caller says now that Boomer has allowed Stugotz into his life, he will never leave Boomer alone. C-Lo returns for an update and begins with sound from Saturday's Hall of Fame induction ceremony. Joe Klecko thought the Jets would have won another Super Bowl by now. The relationship with teammates is more important, just like with radio shows. Darrelle Revis had a message for the Jets fans who turned on him and burned his jersey when he signed with the Patriots. Suzyn doesn't know what something being “lit” means. Getting out of parking lots after concerts is a disaster. Richard in Manhattan called Moose and didn't let Moose get a word in. The guys comment on CLo's SNY colleagues and CLo shares a crazy story related to Blue Jays rookie Davis Schneider. Radical realignment has hit college sports again. How will it impact Jerry traveling with Rutgers? In the final segment of the hour, Jerry looks back on some of baseball's best brawls after Jose Ramirez and Tim Anderson faced off. Boomer remembers some of the fights he got into on the field. Dan Campbell is pumped for the season to start. Micah Parsons has lofty goals. In the final segment of the day, a caller explains how he got Joe and Fireman Ed together on the golf course. Jerry wants Boomer to golf with Joe.
Hour 2: The Yankees are going through a tough time right now. Anthony Rizzo finally got a hit last night after striking out 5 times the night before. We also took calls from Mets fans now that they traded Max Scherzer, David Robertson and Mark Canha. C-Lo returns for an update but first Peter Schwartz posted a pic wearing the Joe Klecko jersey that Boomer got him. Joe is going out to the Hall of Fame induction of Joe Klecko. Hour 1: Joe Benigno is in for Boomer today so it's Gio & Joe B. Joe is in his Mets gear this morning and said they better not trade Justin Verlander or Uncle Steve is punting on next season. Joe doesn't like that the Mets don't retaliate when their players get hit and he wants someone to plunk Ronald Acuna when they play the Braves later this season. C-Lo is in for Jerry and starts with the Yankees loss to the Rays and the armpit injury that Domingo German was suffering from which prevented him from starting. He did, however, come into the game in relief of Jhony Brito who gave up 4 HRs in 4 innings. The Mets traded Mark Canha to the Brewers. At Jets camp, one of the players has ‘69' jokes. C-Lo returns for an update but first a caller compares the afternoon show to ‘Two and a Half Men'. The Yankees lost again and are 1-3 since Aaron Judge returned. There are a lot of teams rumored to be in for a Justin Verlander trade. In the final segment of the hour, Stugotz from the Dan Le Batard Show will co-host with Gio on Thursday and Friday. Joe does not know how to ‘Google' something. Joe does not need an iPhone either. His wife likes watching videos about otters on her iPhone. Hour 4: There are multiple teams calling the Mets about Justin Verlander as the trade deadline looms today. Joe said if the Mets do that, they are ‘punting' on next year. Joe also thinks Steve Cohen has to give Ohtani the best offer. A caller wants to know if we saw the guy who wants to be a collie. A caller is having a baby at the end of August and he wants to know if he should be able to go to the Jets/Bills game on September 11th. C-Lo returns for an update and said there are multiple teams interested in Justin Verlander. In the final segment of the show, Joe doesn't like golfing with people who know who he is.

Hour 1: Word got out yesterday that Lamar Jackson officially requested a trade from the Ravens. So reporters immediately ran to Joe Douglas to see if they would make a run at him since the Aaron Rodgers deal is done. He said that would not be done in good faith, so he is not talking to the Ravens about Lamar. Packers GM Brian Gutekunst admitted they are likely not getting a number one pick for Rodgers. Boomer expects the Rodgers deal with the Jets to get done this week. Lamar said goodbye to Ravens fans yesterday on social media. Gio thinks Lamar could sit out this year. Jerry is here for his first update and starts with audio from Jets GM Joe Douglas and Head Coach Rob Saleh on the current Aaron Rodgers situation. Packers GM Brian Gutekunst said he reached out to Rodgers and never heard back from him. John Harbaugh met the media but wasn't aware of the Lamar Jackson tweet where he said goodbye to Ravens fans. Robert Kraft said his objective is to make the playoffs. Bill Belichick said fans should look at ‘the last 25 years'. The Knicks snapped a 3-game losing streak behind Immanuel Quickley's 40 points. Luka Doncic was playing dominoes and did not see his video going viral. The Islanders beat the Devils 5-1. In the final segment of the hour, Gio wants us to appreciate the superfans from around here like License Plate Guy and Fireman Ed. The Chiefs superfan, ‘Chiefsaholic', is on the run from police after robbing a bank in Oklahoma. Gio can't believe you can still get away with robbing a bank these days.

The Chiefs superfan, ‘Chiefsaholic', is on the run from police after robbing a bank in Oklahoma. Gio can't believe you can still get away with robbing a bank these days. Hour 2: Two fan bases that want Lamar Jackson are the Atlanta Falcons and Indianapolis Colts. We caution that with the saying, ‘Coaches who listen to the fans end up sitting with the fans'. Gio said there is pressure on the Patriots in the division, especially with Rodgers coming to the Jets. Is there pressure for the Patriots to go after Lamar? John Mara did not shut the door on OBJ reuniting with the Giants, although he did comment on his off the field stuff. Boomer said he would wait to sign OBJ if he was the Jets until after the Rodgers deal is done. If Lamar is traded, who will QB the Ravens? Jerry returns for an update and starts with audio from Joe Douglas and Brian Gutekunst on where they're at with the Rodgers situation. Bill Belichick commented on if there are any trades on the table involving the Patriots. John Mara talked about trying to work out a long term deal with Saquon Barkley. The Knicks beat the Rockets last night behind Immanuel Quickley's 40 points. Phillies Catcher J.T. Realmuto was thrown out of a game because the ump thought he was showing him up on an exchange with a new ball. And the Islanders beat the Devils in Long Island. In the final segment of the hour, Sal Licata defended himself on the air last night after Gio called him a leech. Hour 3: Sebastian Joseph-Day of the Chargers claims he was sexually assaulted by TSA personnel on Friday. Gio said those TSA agents really dig in there when they are checking you. Boomer said sometimes guys don't wear underwear and maybe that was part of the problem. Jerry returns for an update and starts with Packers GM Brian Gutekunst on the current Aaron Rodgers situation. Jerry Jones was asked about Zeke coming back on a lower contract. He also talked about his relationship with Daniel Snyder. It's not ‘lovey dovey'. Andy Reid forgot he played against Jordan Love 2 years ago. Mets GM Billy Eppler talked about the ‘diversity' of the Mets bench. He doesn't want a bunch of ‘big hairy guys' that just hit the ball in the seats. The Islanders beat the Devils 5-1. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about last night's Knicks win and Julius Randle's previous outbursts. Hour 4: Tom Brady is back on the dating market and posting shirtless pics of himself. Total thirst traps. We talked about Packers GM Brian Gutekunst and the Aaron Rodgers situation. He seems to be making it personal. Jerry returns for an update and starts with Packers GM Brian Gutekunst talking about the Rodgers/Jets situation. Joe Douglas talked about not negotiating with Lamar Jackson as they have a plan with Rodgers and doing something with Lamar would be in bad faith. The Knicks beat the Rockets behind Immanuel Quickley's 40 points. In the final segment of the show, Mike Trout and Tiger Woods are teaming up for a golf course in south Jersey. We will be doing our show from The Travelers golf tournament in June.
(00:00 - 24:35) - The Friday Show with Brian Noe and Jimmy Cook kick things off with a quick Android vs. iPhone debate. UCLA lost to Gonzaga last night in the Sweet Sixteen. Noe equates the loss to Indiana's exit from the tournament in the Round of 32 this year. Cook and Noe compare and contrast if you'd rather lose by a blow out like Indiana or lose a close one like UCLA. Even though they lost, UCLA could benefit from the fact that their loss was close in recruitment. A look back through famous close losses in college and NFL history. How often does the "best team" win a championship and which of the four teams that won last night has the strongest chance of making the finals? (24:36 - 39:24) - Bluegrass music might not make great bump back music, but we are going to try anyway. Bryce Young is still seen as the number one quarterback to take in the draft, at least according to Todd McShay of SportsCenter. Pro-days can't be the most important part of evaluating a player, especially a quarterback who has yet to experience your system at all. Will Levis draft stock has been impacted largely by things outside of his control. He hasn't been able to stay 100% healthy and hasn't always had the best pieces around him. (39:25 - 41:47) - The "QB Push Sneak" which looks much like a rugby scrum has not been outlawed by the NFL yet. The competition committee didn't even take a look at the issue. Teams have said that if the rules are not changed, they will run the play frequently. (41:48 - 1:13:16) - The Lamar Jackson situation is getting even more out of hand. A memo was sent out today saying that "Ken Francis" was reaching out to other teams on behalf of Jackson. The NFL stated in the memo that teams are only to negotiate with Jackson and that anyone found to be talking to Francis would run the risk of having their future contract with Jackson terminated. Jackson denied on Twitter ever having Francis reach out on his behalf to any team. Cook questions why the NFL would lie about such a thing and make up a name as generic as Ken Francis. Frank Isola of ESPN's Around The Horn and Sirius XM joins mid-segment and immediately gives his take on who Jackson will be playing for next season. Isola mentions how Jackson's injuries are a bigger deal than people think about the longevity of his career. Talking Indiana Pacers, Isola thinks that Indiana is in a terrific spot to be one of the teams to beat next year. He thinks the play in tournament doesn't really hold the value the NBA thinks it does or wants it to. (1:13:17 - 1:21:43) - Another run through of the competition committee not looking at the QB Push Sneak. The Colts could benefit from this tactic if they draft a young mobile quarterback like Will Levis or C.J. Stroud. Noe notes that while Indianapolis could take advantage of this, he is not a fan of the tactic. (1:21:44 - 1:24:20) - Noe's bracket is back to life like The Undertaker. It was off to a rough start as Arizona and Purdue got eliminated early. (1:24:21 - 1:52:08) - Kevin Bowen of The Fan morning show Kevin and Query joins the show to express his elation over Micah Shrewsberry signing on as the Notre Dame head coach. Bowen addresses the rumors that he went shirtless on the morning program yesterday in honor of Shrewsberry's decision. Cook and Bowen start talking about Colt's cap space and free agency. How much will Indianapolis need to hold to feel safe going into negotiations in this next season. Colt's General Manager Chris Ballard has proven to be a light spender in previous years. Bowen is slightly worried that early career quarterbacks could be at a disadvantage given how the offensive line performed last season. A young quarterback will be put under pressure early and often next season and might be set up for failure if the O-line does not improve drastically. Brian has some Tony Horton vibes. (1:52:09 - 2:02:34) - What are some sports moments that Jimmy Cook and Brian Noe can look at and say, "I was there." Jimmy caught some highlights from the Chiefs as well as a Kentucky Derby. Brian was live for Wisconsin beating an undefeated Kentucky team at the Final Four in Indy. He also was in attendance for a Colts/Jets game where he managed to run into New York staple "Fireman Ed."See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Kirk Cousins and the Vikings moved to 7-1 after beating Washington. Aaron Rodgers knows they will now be underdogs going forward. Evan Roberts reacted to the Edwin Diaz contract. Jerry did some editing to make it sound like Evan has a Edwin Diaz vibrator. He does not. Brian Cashman was a guest on Carton & Roberts after his press conference Friday and Jerry has some audio clips. In the final segment of the hour, the Nets laid out things Kyrie must do in order to rejoin the Nets. Floyd Mayweather took to social media and posted a video supporting Kyrie. Hour 4: We do a quick recap of the Jets win over the Bills. They now have a bye week and then return to play up in New England. Boomer continues to be impressed with Justin Fields. Gio called Zach Wilson a game manager and Boomer doesn't love that term. Jerry returns for an update and starts with Shaun Morash tongue kissing his dog. Evan sings ‘ding dong, the Phillies are dead'. The Jets beat the Bills to head into the bye week at 6-3. Josh Allen took a lot of responsibility for the loss. The Chiefs beat the Titans last night and Mahomes was responsible for over 500 yards of offense. We also heard postgame sound from Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers. Aaron Boone talked about his process and being well prepared. And the Rangers lost last night. In the final segment of the show, Gio went golfing and there were horses right to the right where he slices it. OBJ is on the Cowboys' radar.

talk Jets vs Patriots with Fireman Ed!
Hour 1: The Bears beat the Patriots last night 33-14. The Jets are still underdogs against New England even though the Patriots got blown out last night. The Jets brought in RB James Robinson from the Jaguars to fill Breece Hall's position after he tore his ACL. Boomer expects the Jets to face Mac Jones at QB. And Matt Ryan has been benched in Indianapolis. Boomer reveals he's been invited on the Manningcast for Monday night because the Bengals are playing the Browns. Rob Saleh talks about the progress of Zach Wilson so far this season. Elijah Moore is back with the team and will play this weekend. Brian Daboll talked about Daniel Bellinger's eye socket injury. The Bears beat the Patriots 33-14. Bill Belichick was asked about Zappe coming in for Mac Jones. The Colts have benched Matt Ryan for the remainder of the season in favor of Sam Ehlinger. Jerry has audio from last night's Knicks/Magic game. Boomer & Jerry get into it about the Nets and Ben Simmons fouling out. We went over the many factors that probably caused that. Oh, and they raised ticket prices. We also talked about the Jets trading for Jags running back James Robinson with Breece Hall going down. We also talked about the upcoming matchup against Belichick and the Patriots. Hour 3: Was the ending of the Yankees season bad enough to do something with the front office or with the Manager or with free agency? Maybe Hal Steinbrenner is a bottom line guy and he wants to keep spending down as long as they make the playoffs every year. Boomer thinks we will hear that Cashman is back as GM within the next week to ten days. Jerry returns for an update but first we see Meredith Marakovits is already in Italy after the Yankees season. Why isn't Jerry doing games for CBS? Boomer wonders why. Rob Saleh talks about the injury to Breece Hall. Brian Daboll talks about preparing to get everybody's best shot. Hour 4: The Giants do not have a WR with over 200 yards receiving. Their top receiver is 92nd in yards in the NFL. And the Giants are 6-1. Jerry returns for his final update of the day and starts with sound from last night's Knicks win over Orlando. The Nets lost to the Grizzlies and Ben Simmons fouled out. Peyton Manning really wanted the Bears to score over 40 on the Patriots at Foxboro. Instead they sat on the ball to not pile on. The Colts are benching Matt Ryan and Head Coach Frank Reich tells us why. In the final segment of the show, we talked about the Brittney Griner situation in Russia. Jim Nantz is stepping down from the NCAA tournament after this coming March Madness and Ian Eagle will be taking over. Gio wants to find a way to get Nantz out of the NFL and move Ian into the number one spot.

We're getting back to our roots in 2021. We're putting boots on the ground this season and will try and visit at least four different team venues for live games. With the Colorado Raptors no longer a part of the MLR, the Rugby PickEm crew will look to cash in some frequent flier miles and head out of state to catch some live rugby and find the best fans in the MLR. PICKEM! After being cooped up for nearly a full year, 2021 has to be .....THE YEAR OF THE FAN! We want to find the Fireman Ed of RUNY, shake the hand of a founding member of the notorious "Cohort", and maybe interview the first ever MLR streaker (... it may or may not be Uncle Johnny). Also ... would love to meet the Commish this year (.... a man can only dream). As we journey through what will surely be a season full of exciting games (and some boring ones too, after all, the players will be rusty to start), we look forward to sharing our experiences with you, the listeners and readers. A few things we'll be tracking this season: Tackle the Numbers; Beat The Machine - When we started our show back in 2018, we knew legalized sports gambling was right around the corner in the US. Well, now it's here. Lucky for us, an MLR Redditor by the name of "OddBallGentleman", created a statistical based website where you can predict the games against the spread (ATS). Anyone can pick winners, but can you Beat The Machine (and do it consistently each week?) ... Rugby Revealed - Gavin Hickie is a masterclass. Excellent long-form interviews with coaches and front office reps across the MLR. He does a great job of peeling back the curtain on the day to day operational challenges that all the teams face in 2021. After a year away from live rugby, the interviewees are certainly willing to reveal their trade secrets. Great stuff. Hope that Rugby Revealed continues to publish throughout the season. MLR Reddit - This cesspool of commenters will not let down. If you have a spare 10 mins on the can, get on this reddit sub but try not to get too sucked in ... (next thing you know you're a reddit troll
This is the audio from our interview with Fireman Ed.. also we answer questions from the livestream. The support is greatly appreciated!

It's a lot, well break it down.
DC’s Mike James and Mollie Ames discuss: Some people drank free Bud Light, others got to work making Rally Possum shirts, and even more just generally were delighted by the Browns finally winning a game. Meanwhile, Mollie spent the whole time in Vegas... (Part 1 of the Podcast only content) Browns win and the future actually, truly, legitimately looks brighter. Baker Mayfield might just be as advertised and it has Mike using a word he never thought he'd utter publicly in 2018. Reno call girl trading cards makes a lot more sense than sex doll brothels do. Say what you will about shitty beer and the people that drink it, the Victory Fridge idea was brilliant. Explaining what "5 Tools" means, in regards to baseball and Father John Misty. (Part 2 of the Podcast only content, begins at the 1:08:00 mark) Let Me Tell You A Story: Lachlan MacKinnon’s “Driver's Education” (begins at the 1:24:00 mark) If only pinball could kill gambling the way gambling killed pinball... twice! i.e., Mike really doesn't like slot machines or Vegas, but he's definitely cool with legalizing weed and prostitution. The Browns may or may not have been aided in their victory by a "Rally Possum", "Attack Possum", or even "Opossum", but what we know for sure is that possums are far more interesting than we expected, and they apparently taste like pork. Mollie’s PuhFooFuh Spotlight Part 2: The troublesome history of "Fireman Ed" and the murky origins of the "J-E-T-S" chant. (Part 3 of the Podcast only content, begins at the 1:55:00 mark) Yes, we were really impressed with Baker Mayfield, how can we not be? (this segment of the podcast contains many usages of the "P" word, listener discretion advised) Taking on a persona in "white person" world because being yourself simply doesn't work. (Part 4 of the Podcast only content, begins at the 2:30:00 mark) Why it's called "Deadman's Curve". Spoiler Alert: It's literal Explaining why wRC+ is the best catch-all hitting stat out there, and using it to put into better perspective just how bad José Ramirez has been the last 30 days. Texas likely has the heaviest concentrated "white person" problem in the country, and former Texas school superintendent Lynn Redden is a classic example of this very real and very serious issue we face as a nation.
