The actor recently shared that while his fans would like to see him essay popular supervillains such as Doctor Doom or Magneto, he was more keen to play a hero like Professor X, if he were given an option. He also added that the show will be returning to its original roots and that he has been a big fan of Alien and Aliens, directed by Ridley Scott and James Cameron respectively. Whether or not the series lives up to the original is yet to be seen. But we're sure this out of world experience is sure to be a streaming success.Dhanush to return as The Lone Wolf Next up, we have a big announcement for Dhanush fans. The actor has recently shared a voice note that reveals that his character The Lone Wolf will be back soon. The voice note went as follows: “Six, this is Lone Wolf, I hear we are both looking for the same man. I want to offer you some advice. Stop looking, you are wasting your time. Because if I find him first, there will be nothing left for you to look for and if you find him first, then I will find you. Nothing personal.” This obscure message has us thrilled to bits as we're sure that The Gray Man will be back again in a new avatar where he hopefully finds himself in death-defying situations. Now You Know - Ms. Marvel - Episode 78Welcome to yet another episode of OTTplay Now You Know, I'm your host Nikhil.Marvel's latest Disney+ Original series, Ms. Marvel, has warmed hearts and is earning plaudits for its writing, visuals, and coming-of-age narrative about a superhero in high school coming to terms with her newfound abilities. The series stars Iman Vellani in the lead and is streaming on Disney+ Hotstar. Let's check out some trivia from it.Star of the hit Netflix coming-of-age comedy series, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, was a fan favorite choice to essay the role of Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel. However, Ramakrishnan clarified that an actor with Pakistani heritage would be better suited for the role as she is a second-generation Sri Lankan/Canadian with Tamil heritage. In the comics, Kamala's origin story is associated with the Terrigen Mist from the beings called the Inhumans. However, the negative reception and controversy of the ill-fated live-action TV series called the Inhumans, released in 2017, may have influenced the writers to sever any ties Ms. Marvel may have with the Inhumans. Therefore, her powers and origin story for the film have been altered.Ms. Marvel's powers from the comic books are significantly different from the ones shown in the TV series. In the comics, she has super-healing abilities like Wolverine and Deadpool, metamorphic abilities like Reed Richards aka Mr. Fantastic, and the ability to enlarge or shrink in size like Ant-Man. However, Marvel decided to give her cosmic powers instead, manifested through her family heirloom bracelet. It grants her powers very similar to DC superhero Green Lantern and the ring used by members of the Green Lantern Corps.Kamala Khan's obsession with her favorite Avenger, Captain Marvel, is well documented in comics, video games, and the new TV series. In fact, Ms. Marvel was originally the moniker for Carol Danvers who is now known as Captain Marvel, a role essayed by Brie Larson in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But when Danvers became Captain Marvel, her biggest fan, Kamala Khan took over the mantle of Ms. Marvel. It is also interesting to note that for several decades in the comics books and in several adaptations such as the ongoing acclaimed animated TV series, Young Justice, the DC character Shazam is actually called Captain Marvel. It wasn't until recently, through video games such as Injustice and the Shazam live-action film did Captain Marvel change to Shazam. It could be a creative decision by Warner Brothers and DC to avoid any confusion with Marvel Comics' Captain Marvel.Just like her character Kamala Khan, actress Iman Vellani is also a massive fan of comic books and the Avengers. Never Have I Ever is an American coming-of-age comedy-drama television series starring Maitreyi Ramakrishnan and created by Mindy Kaling and Lang FisherAfter a traumatic year, a first-generation Indian-American teenager wants to improve her status at school, but friends, family, and feelings don't make it easy on her.  John McEnroe, Adam samberg and Gigi Hadid make guest appearances on the show as narrators. and Chicago legendary rapper common makes an appearance in the show. Even gets the honour to kiss Poorna Jagannathan who plays the lead protagonist mother.. p.s she looks so much like Celine Dion. This is basically High School teenage life drama.... it's all about young girls finding their identity in society going through hurdles and obstacles in the attempt to become their trueselves so basically in my personal opinion the show  is about self understanding and self-belief and self growth "never have I ever" is a brilliant take on interracial and LGBTQ relationships either sexual or not sexual. it brings forth a new dynamic on multicultural societies and henceforth this is by far one of my favourite Netflix shows I look forward to another season.Feel free to check out my other podcast》》  The English game★ Support this podcast on Patreon ★

Never Have I Ever came onto the Netflix scene in April of 2020 and has since been described as a watershed moment for South Asian representation in Hollywood. Known for breaking Asian stereotypes, the series was created by Mindy Kaling and Lang Fisher and is a coming-of-age comedy and teen drama partially based on Kaling's childhood. Today, our guest, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, captured the hearts of many by playing the main character, Devi, an Indian American high school student coping with her father's death. Tune in as she shares about growing up in Mississauga, whom Maitreyi would choose of her two on-TV love interests: Paxton or Ben?!, and what it means to represent for the Tamil community at such a young age in the world of Hollywood. On today's episode, the guys start off by reminiscing about the career of the acclaimed director Richard Donner (1:07). They talk about his classic films including ‘Superman', ‘The Goonies', ‘Scrooged', ‘Lethal Weapon', as well as the not so classic ‘16 Blocks' (featuring a classically bad vocal choice by Mos Def). Then Asif asks Ali about his thoughts on Mindy Kaling's ‘Never have I Ever' (7:25), whose second season is out now on Netflix. They talk about the excellent casting choice of the previously unknown Maitreyi Ramakrishnan. The guys discuss the diverse representation in the show and how the show depicts the idea of growing up South Asian in North America. Then Asif asks Ali about conversion disorder (aka functional neurologic disorder) which is depicted in season 1 of the show (31:12). Asif talks about the diagnosis, how it comes about and how it is NOT people ‘faking' symptoms.
