“I'd Like to Kill That MF” Charlie Adelson's Chilling Repeated Threats In this gripping analysis from Hidden Killers Live, Tony Brueski, Robin Dreeke, and Stacy Cole, and Todd Michaels, examine one of the most damning sections of Jeffrey Lacasse's interrogation—the part where Charlie Adelson's casual threats, reckless talk, and family dynamics intersect with murder-for-hire reality. According to Lacasse, Charlie Adelson wasn't shy about voicing his hatred for Dan Markel. These weren't offhand grumbles; they were repeated, venomous statements—“I'd like to kill that motherf***er”—said so often they stuck in Lacasse's memory. Unlike normal venting, Charlie went further, asking how much it would cost. That step from emotional ranting into cost-benefit analysis marked a chilling escalation. The panel dissects why this behavior fit a pattern: Charlie's lack of impulse control, a trait he likely inherited from Donna Adelson, combined with years of unchecked arrogance. In his safe family bubble, he felt untouchable, rehearsing bravado for immediate gratification with no thought of repercussions. This impulsivity, coupled with Donna's enmeshment and Wendy's complicity, set the stage for tragedy. We also examine Charlie's strange double life: a wealthy South Florida dentist with a Ferrari, yet constantly surrounding himself with “tough” gym buddies, ex-military acquaintances, and shady characters. Was this insecurity, narcissistic posturing, or a deliberate attempt to outsource the dirty work he lacked the nerve to do himself? Adding to the suspicion is Wendy's sudden no-contact email to Lacasse, allegedly at her therapist's direction, just days before Dan Markel was killed. Was this standard breakup strategy, or part of an Adelson plot to frame Lacasse as the “abusive male” and potential fall guy? The timing is hard to ignore. This episode also explores how family enmeshment and narcissistic validation needs created a toxic system where Charlie and Wendy were extensions of Donna's will. The Adelsons may have rationalized their plot as a crusade to “protect the children,” but to outsiders, it was reckless and criminal. From hot tub bragging about hiding money to leaked threats overheard by boyfriends, Charlie's downfall was paved by his own mouth. As Lacasse says, within 20 seconds of hearing about Markel's murder, he thought of Charlie. That instinctive reaction speaks volumes. In this week's episode of Not Alone, Valeria sits down with clinical psychologist and friendship expert Christie Ferrari to unpack the complicated world of adult friendships. They explore why friends can feel so different after childhood, and why we sometimes fight to keep certain people in our lives while letting go of others. Christie introduces the concept of growth flags vs. red flags and helps us identify what healthy, evolving friendships look like versus the ones that may be holding us back. Together, Valeria and Christie dive into questions we all face: What kind of friend am I? Am I a fringe friend? How do I deal with “mean girls” even as an adult? From cultural differences in how friendships form, to tips for approaching conflict, to understanding when it's time to quietly distance yourself, this conversation offers both validation and practical tools for navigating relationships. If you've ever questioned your place in a friend group or wondered how to deepen your connections, this episode is a must-listen.
Marcin Budkowski, who worked with Oscar Piastri at Alpine and held engineering roles at Ferrari and McLaren, joins Tom Clarkson in the Zandvoort paddock to reflect on an action-packed Dutch Grand Prix. After Lando Norris's late mechanical failure, Piastri's seventh victory of the season moves him 34 points clear of his McLaren teammate at the top of the Drivers' Standings. What does that retirement mean for Lando's title hopes and his approach for the rest of the season? How did Oscar end up getting the better of Lando after trailing him in all three practice sessions? Marcin shares fascinating insight into how different Oscar is in the cockpit compared to out of the car with his helmet off, and why the Australian has surprised him this year after having some doubts about his title-winning credentials. Lando's loss was Isack Hadjar's gain, as the Racing Bulls rookie jumped up a place from P4 to P3 to score his first podium in Formula 1. How did Isack execute his best weekend in F1 so far? Should Red Bull promote him to be Max Verstappen's teammate in 2026? And Ferrari had a weekend to forget with a double DNF, after Charles Leclerc was taken out by Kimi Antonelli and Lewis Hamilton crashed into the barriers. Marcin tells Tom why he thinks Antonelli is going through a difficult patch at Mercedes and why Lewis's struggles with the car remind him of Daniel Ricciardo at McLaren. The 2025 Dutch Grand Prix had it all - a maiden podium, surprise DNFs, a bold Max Verstappen, the Orange Army, an over ambitious teenager & lots of "lucky" strategy under the 3 x Safety Car periods. Ferrari's double DNF, Lewis Hamilton's driver error leading to a crash & retirement, Andrea Kimi Antonelli's crash with Charles Leclerc, Leclerc's spirited overtake on George Russell, and the Sainz-Lawson incident. Lots of talking points from the 2025 Dutch Grand Prix. Oscar Piastri won the 2025 Dutch Grand Prix from pole and led every lap of the race. However, Lando Norris' unexpected (and unfair) power unit failure swung the points gap to 34 points. A championship deciding power unit failure, is it? Lewis Hamilton handed a 5 place grid drop for the 2025 Italian Grand Prix, Ferrari's home race, for failing to slow down for "double yellow" flags on the reconnaissance laps to the grid. Basically, Hamilton was penalised for his pre-race actions on grounds of safety.

Shawn O'Malley and Daniel Mahncke break down Ferrari (ticker: RACE), a company whose stock is arguably just as impressive as its high-performance and ultra-luxury vehicles. By global automotive standards, Ferrari hardly has any sales volumes, selling about 14,000 cars a year, yet these vehicles come with such premium price tags that the company can reasonably command a $90 billion market valuation still. IN THIS EPISODE, YOU'LL LEARN 00:00 – Intro 09:27 - Why Ferrari obsesses over keeping supply below demand. 11:45 - Why Ferrari is more like Hérmes than Porsche. 16:27 - Ferrari's response to the hybrid and EV movements. 30:35 - What makes Ferrari special amongst even other ultra-luxury vehicle makers. 33:53 - What it actually takes to buy a Ferrari, and how Ferrari chooses its customers. 42:40 - How Ferrari has created a long-term ownership culture amongst its clients, similar to the mindset among shareholders of Berkshire Hathaway. 48:05 - How to think about modeling RACE's intrinsic value. 57:45 - The creative ways Ferrari has leveraged its IP to sell cars at higher and higher prices. 01:04:28 - Whether Shawn and Daniel add RACE to their Intrinsic Value Portfolio. *Disclaimer: Slight timestamp discrepancies may occur due to podcast platform differences. After a mandatory "holiday", Formula 1 is back this weekend with the 2025 Dutch Grand Prix. Yes, Max Verstappen's home race. What are the key talking points this weekend? What will the media play up, and what will the teams play down? Also, we're racing at a legendary circuit - Zandvoort. Enjoy it as long as it lasts! Will rain "Unleash the Lion" aka Max Verstappen at home in front of the Orange Army? Could the cooler conditions bring Mercedes into contention, and similarly, will Ferrari have used the summer break wisely to add a spring to their step? As for McLaren, the Drivers' Championship battle between Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris resumes at Zandvoort. Will the summer break have halted Norris' momentum (he won 3 out of 4 races prior to the summer break)? Lots in store this weekend, including overtaking moves at Turn 1, Turn 3 and maybe the Turn 11-12 sequence? Pirelli is bringing tyre compounds that are one step softer than last year + the pit lane speed limit is up from 60 kmph to 80 kmph. We will see a variety of race strategy at play, and this could spice up the action on-track and in the pit lane. Soumil Arora and Kunal Shah preview the upcoming 2025 Dutch Grand Prix. #F1 #F12025 #DutchGP Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

In this episode, they discuss the ways F1 has changed over the years (not least how it's become safer), what it's like to drive a ‘regular' Ferrari, the extreme demands of handling an F1 vehicle, and why the personalities of the people behind the cars —the people who drive them, manufacture them, live for them and, in some cases, die in them — matter so much.
