This week we take a trip back in time to reminisce about what it was like to be a fellow under famed pediatric cardiology pioneer Dr. Alexander S. Nadas. Who better to tell us about what life was like under this giant than 4 present-day giants who lived through it and got their start working for Professor Nadas. Joining the podcast in a live recording from the Boston Children's Cardiology 75th Anniversary Alumni Reunion on May 3rd are Dr. Roberta Williams, Dr. John Barry Keane, Dr. Patricia Rompf and Dr. Thomas Hougen. All have many stories to tell and they share their remembrances and insights in this special episode honoring the memory of the founder of the cardiac program at Boston Children's Hospital - Dr. Nadas.
Repeat guest and The Nadas band member Jason Walsmith and his wife (and new guest!) Emma Walsmith made the decision to pursue sobriety after noticing how the heavy drinking culture of the music industry affected them. They discuss the concept of being 'sober curious', the challenges and benefits of living without alcohol, and how their decision has impacted their personal lives and relationships. They highlight the importance of awareness, community support, the positive changes that come with sobriety. Namely, it's amazing to feel present and free of confusion! They also emphasize the need for open communication in relationships regarding alcohol consumption. They faced challenges of the initial days of sobriety but pushing through those tough moments led to incredible clarity.Connect with The Nadas:thenadas.comIG: @thenadasTwitter/X: @thenadasPatreon: The NadasConnect with Michelle:betterbeings.netIG: @betterbeingsusYouTube: Michelle Zellner - Be A Better Being Podcast playlist

It is a pleasure to welcome singer-songwriter Barbara Nadas to The Jake's Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast. Barbara is not just another emerging artist. Her unique sound defies the boundaries of pop-soul music. Her journey began at 14, singing in cover bands. This experience allowed her to masterfully blend various music genres, from blues and rock to pop and disco. Her inspiration comes from a diverse range of artists, including Fergie and the late Amy Winehouse. Barbara has performed with the Hungarian Operetta Theater and attended the Berklee 5 Weeks Summer Performance Program. She also worked with notable Hungarian producer Burai Krisztián and various Hungarian jazz musicians, including Gergely Ősze, Dániel Vikukel, and Máté Möntör. Her discography includes "Hiába mondták," "Mese," and "Overthink." Barbara's recent release is a remix of her 2023 hit "SOAR," a collaboration with renowned producer Tom Martin. Martin's previous collaborations include Alesso, David Guetta, Martin Garrix, Tiesto, and Travis Barker. In this episode of The Jake's Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast, Barbara Nadas discusses the story behind "SOAR" and shares the lessons she learned from Tom Martin.Let's connect on social media! Celebrating his 30th anniversary in the music industry with his band “The Nadas”, singer/songwriter, and founding member Jason Walsmith joins us in the studio to talk about his career. Jason has spent his adult life as a career musician, storyteller, photographer, traveler, and adventurer. The celebrated folk-Americana act The Nadas have amassed a loyal and dedicated following over the past three decades for their engaging live shows and distinctive 70s-meets-90s sound. Blending twangy, Stones-era “country honk” with raw, alt-rock energy and wistful, folk-leaning melodies, their music is as alive as it is authentic. Over 30 years of making music together, The Nadas have shared the stage with The Beach Boys, Bon Jovi, Big Head Todd and Barenaked Ladies, been inducted into the Iowa Rock ‘n' Roll Hall of Fame, sold over 300,000 albums (even in a time when you can't buy a CD player), earned praise from a wide range of major publications, and written the theme song for their hometown—twice. During his musical journey, inspired by the case of an old family heirloom that has stood the test of time, Jason has taken the elements of the design to create the heritage designed, soft-sided guitar case created to protect your favorite guitars through all of life's adventures: heavy dry waxed cotton duck material that is naturally water repellent and durable, a quilted cotton felt interior and features high quality leather and brass zippers. Interesting tidbit of information here… Jason's band “The Nadas” was named “The Best College Band You've Never Heard Of” by Playboy Magazine in 2001. www.guitarsatchel.com www.thenadas.com www.jasonwalsmithstoryteller.com Songs heard on this episode include: Song: “Other Side of The 45” (ASCAP) Artist: “The Nadas” Songwriter(s): The Nadas Song: “Come Along For The Ride” (ASCAP) Artist: “The Nadas” Songwriter(s): The Nadas Song: “Campervan” (ASCAP) Artist: Jason Walsmith Songwriter(s): Jason Walsmith Creator and Executive Producer Emeritus: Tom Sabella Showrunner and Host (the guy who has a face for podcasting): Bob Bender Management Representation: Chuck Thompson for Thompson Entertainment Group, LLC Co-Producer - Audio/Video Editor (the man behind the curtain): Mark Sabella Director of Video and Continuity (the brains of the entire operation): Deborah Halle Marketing and Social Media (all knowing): Sarah Fleshner for 362 Entertainment Recorded inside what could be an old beat up Airstream Trailer located somewhere on what's left of Music Row in Nashville TN (Man we sure do miss Noshville, and the Longhorn Steakhouse) Mixed and Mastered at Music Dog Studios in Nashville, TN Editing and Post at Midnight Express Studio located in Olian, NY Production Sound Design: Keith Stark Voice Over and Promo: Lisa Fuson Special Thanks to the creator and founder of the podcast, Tom Sabella, along with Traci Snow for producing and hosting over 100 episodes of the original "Business Side of Music" podcast and trusting us to carry on their legacy. Remember when we cyber bullied a guy at the children's museum for the simple crime of dressing like a bad ass? Well, he's come to the BOD Pod studios to take revenge. We spoke with T Nadas about fatherhood, working while parenting and he shared the incredible (horrifying?) story of their child's birth. We have to say - it was amazing of T to share his story. Delivery day did not go as his family expected and their story is so helpful for all of us to hear. It pierces the Instagram filtered bubble of birth! Plus, Matt & Tim are still hanging around with nothing better to do than complain about their children. They share some New Year's resolutions on the parenting front and tackle the media's problems with Taylor Swift. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/better-off-dad-pod/message

Welcome to a brand new episode of the ¿Quién Tú Eres? podcast, where we explore the conflict we often face between "professionalism" & being our authentic selves. This week's guest is Carlos Santos. Carlos Santos is a Colombian-born business owner featured on Vice, The New York Times, and Univision, and a New York 30 under 30 recipient. His story is rooted in the struggles of being an immigrant. His experiences shaped him to see the beauty of generosity and potential in bringing his culture to new spaces. After graduating college, Carlos had a short stint in finance followed by a career in high-end events and hospitality until he joined his mother at Aqui Es Santa Fe. He helped transform their family business into one of the highest-rated and respected restaurants in Westchester, NY. Now, Carlos is focused on growing his Manhattan-based company - Nadas - into a multifaceted Hispanic food brand, built on their signature Gluten Free Colombian Rainbow Empanadas. In this episode, Carlos tells us how went from a survival mindset to a flourishing mindset. He says that he's watched his mom work hard, struggle, and pray that he lives a better life than her. Now that he has the opportunity to not only survive but thrive, he is investing in his mom's dream and sharing the next generation of Colombian food with the world. This week we speak with noted cardiovascular surgeon Dr. John J. Lamberti who is presently Associate Professor of Surgery at Stanford University. Dr. Lamberti's career has spanned from the time of Dr. Robert Gross in the 1960's to present day with Dr. Frank Hanley and the team in Stanford. His career perfectly mirrors the transition from the 'old days' of cardiac surgery up until the present modern age and he shares his reminiscences of working with Dr. Robert Gross, Dr. Aldo Castaneda, Dr. Maurice Lev, Dr. Roberta Williams, Dr. Nadas and others. He also shares his thoughts on how to be a good mentor and what that takes from someone who has mentored many surgeons in the past 5 decades.
On this episode we were so lucky to get a chance to speak with Susan Pieper, owner and founder of DMOS. In this episode we learn: - How to pronounce Dmos (Hint think D-MOST( just leave off the T). -How Susan's frustration led to the creation of the DMOS shovel. - What DMOS actually stands for - Its probably what you think it is, but you won't know if you don't tune in! - When is a shovel not just a shovel - and how about when that shovel helps Olympians earn medals! - What it's like to be judged by and work with some of the biggest figures in the aftermarket industry at SEMA. Additionally Susan shares stories from her experiences in the Rebelle Rally and as an open ocean sailor. Join us for a great conversation about simplicity, colors, and making sure everything has a place, and everything is in its place.

Recentemente entrou no ar a 9ª temporada. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/pecasraras/message

Kontakt: https://events.akram-vignan.de/ https://events.dadabhagwan.de/

On this "Jon Carter Classic" with Valentines Day almost here, Fabulo, The Greatest Lover of Women in Utah and all of The World, has this lesson on how to successfully pen a beautiful poem for your significant other, and it starts with finding that card at Fred Meyer's with the wonderful words that will make her eyes wet with tears of joy, but just remember if she happens to read the same card you lifted your material from, you might receive a box of "Maxwell Chocolate's Upside Your Head"! And the big question on Valentines Day is where to celebrate. Will it be somewhere Fancy and French? Maybe at Moochies for some Meatballs and more? How about Bill and Nada's for "A Big Bill Sandwich with some Calf-Brain and Eggs! "Fabulo & Song Parodies" from "Jon Carter's Archives" and Utah's Classic 103.5 The Arrow.

Luke Meek is an internationally touring production manager for the likes of: Lissie, NEEDTOBREATH, Owl City, Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness, Tyrone Wells, Stephen Kellogg, The Nadas and the list goes on… Luke became a good friend of mine from our time working together and traveling the world with Owl City as soon as I heard about what’s been happening with him lately, I knew we had to sit down and talk the next time we were in the same city together. Maybe you’re someone who feels unsettled in their career and is looking for a change, Maybe you’re a music lover/concert goer and curious about what a production manager’s role is, Maybe you’re a musician who's on tour or hopes to one day tour looking for some advice, Maybe you’re a freelancer or entrepreneur looking for tips on how to live a sustainable balanced life… We talk about all of it. Enjoy.
