Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore - MOVIE REVIEW (Spoiler-Free)

MOVIE Morning

Hey everyone, its time to finally return to the Wizarding World! Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore has finally released in theatres around the globe. This is franchise that I have not really gotten to talk about in my almost-3 years on this platform but this is a franchise that means SO MUCH to me. I've been watching these movies since I was like 4 years old and I have so much nostalgia from like a decade or so back, watching every movie constantly and reading the books. I was also a big fan of the first Fantastic Beasts movie and enjoyed the second one, just on first viewing. Since then, I've liked the movie LESS AND LESS and grown less enchanted with the future of the franchise. But the trailers for this third film have been great so I rewatched all 10 of the previous films and have been getting excited for this movie. This is a SPOILER-FREE REVIEW of the film. Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore: Directed by: David Yates Screenplay by: J.K. Rowling & Steve Kloves Based upon a screenplay by: J.K. Rowling Produced by: David Heyman, J.K. Rowling, Steve Kloves, Lionel Wigram and Tim Lewis. Neil Blair, Danny Cohen, Josh Berger, Courtenay Valenti and Michael Sharp served as executive producers. Music by: James Newton Howard Cinematography by: George Richmond Film Editing by: Mark Day Casting by: Fiona Weir Production Design by: Stuart Craig, Neil Lamont Cast: Eddie Redmayne, Jude Law, Ezra Miller, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, William Nadylam, Callum Turner, Jessica Williams, Victoria Yeates, Poppy Corby-Tuech, Fiona Glascott, Katherine Waterston, Maria Fernanda Cândido, Richard Coyle, Oliver Masucci, Valerie Pachner, and Mads Mikkelsen Synopsis: In an effort to thwart Grindelwald's plans of raising pure-blood wizards to rule over all non-magical beings, Albus Dumbledore enlists his former student Newt Scamander, who agrees to help, though he's unaware of the dangers that lie ahead. Lines are drawn as love and loyalty are tested, even among the truest friends and family, in an increasingly divided wizarding world.

Richard Coyle from Miller joins Dan to talk about Epidemic Risk Insurance Coverage. Insurers are addressing a significant coverage gap that traditional insurancehas not been able to solve: non-damage business interruption for loss of grossprofit as a result of an epidemic. Most standard property damage policiesrequire a business interruption to be from physical damage and also typicallyexclude communicable diseases. This coverage may be extended to includecommunicable diseases by endorsement, but only limited capacity is availableand with restrictive terms. In order to close this gap, Insurers have developed expertise in epidemiology, statistics, risk modeling, finance and claims management as well as a rangeof innovative tailor-made risk transfer solutions for many different industrytypes exposed to epidemic risks. Chris and Fangs FX is who we call when we need teeth, but there is a lot more to Fangs FX than just...well...fangs! This is the first of a series of interviews Todd and I did at Monsterpalooza 2018, a three-day event in Los Angeles which was busting at the seams with visitors, demos and vendors. It was amazing, and Todd and I applied my Bela Lugosi makeup for the Rick Baker Tribute on the enormous PPI Premiere Products Inc stand. Blogpost: http://www.learnmakeupeffects.com/fangsfx/ We grabbed Chris for a chat outside the venue as it was far quieter than inside, and talked teeth, drill bits in the mouth, loose teeth, missing teeth and how much hiding in plain sight takes place. Making and fitting teeth requires the use of some pretty serious chemicals and hardware, and putting these things into performers mouths is a serious responsibility as you will hear. Fangs FX was established in 1984, and has an outstanding list of credits. If you have never heard of Chris or his team, then you will certainly have seen their work. Check out their facebook page and Instagram @fangsfx. Richard Coyle from BBC TV show 'Strange' which maks use of swelling provided by a dental plumper rather than an appliance. Makeup by Jan Sewell. You know who wearing some makeup by Mark Coulier. Nose wiped out digitally, teeth made grim practically. Michael Rooker from Guardians of the Galaxy, makeup by David White.   Demo by Mark Coulier, reimagining the Nosferatu style Barlow from Salems Lot. Makeup demo by Stephen Murphy for PPI. Model Ben Palmer.   A Cure For Wellness featured some neat teeth gags.   Paul Kayes' teeth for Mutti Voosht in 'Pan'. The test makeup with teeth in place for Paul Kayes character Mutti Voosht for Pan, cut ultimately. Makeup by me.   Spencer Wilding wearing a Rick Baker wolfman makeup and some oustanding Fangs FX Dentures. Tim Vine comedy sketch show wth removable tooth gag.   Naomi Harris in drama series 'White Teeth' missing the front four teeth - a worst case scenario for a practical tooth gag if all real teeth are present.   Gags, where something has to happen, move and perform on cue is a tough thing to pull off... ] ... but even a moving drill bit appearing through teeth live in-camera is another day for Chris and the team. The stuff nightmares are made of! As ever, email us at stuartandtodd@gmail.com or drop us a comment our facebook page. Remember to floss regularly! - Stuart & Todd.

Erin go bragh, faithful listeners! This week, we celebrate St. Patrick's Day with our very own St. Patrick MacDonald of HollywoodChicago.com, as we down a pint and fight some beasties with the Irish horror comedy Grabbers! When a sleepy Irish town is beset by extraterrestrial octopods with a thirst for blood, the town must rally around an alcoholic local cop (Richard Coyle) and his straight-laced partner (Ruth Bradley) to fight them off the only way they know how - by getting piss drunk!   Much like previous podcast subject Attack the Block, Grabbers is deeply indebted to the droll horror-comedy humor of Edgar Wright, and manages to find its own charms within that level of sincere imitation. Check out our thoughts, along with our custom cocktail and drinking game, below! (Thanks to our sponsor, The Second City Training Center, as part of the Chicago Podcast Coop!)
