Steven Rofrano discusses how everyday food choices influence health and well-being. Drawing on his background in functional medicine and passion for regenerative health, he explores the importance of ingredient quality, accessibility, and taste in shaping healthier habits. Key topics covered: Shifting from industrial food norms toward nutrient-rich, traditionally prepared foods Why eliminating seed oils and using whole, heritage ingredients matters Making healthier foods the default option in society Balancing flavor with nutrition to create sustainable dietary change Considering regulation, sourcing, and the role of GMOs in modern agriculture
Ep 225 | This week on Discover Ag, Natalie and Tara dig into the headlines shaping food safety, viral culture, and wellness misinformation — with their usual dose of snark and sincerity. First up: A Florida mom's devastating lawsuit after raw milk labeled "not for human consumption" allegedly sickened her toddler and led to miscarriage. The hosts unpack the regulatory gray areas, the role of wellness influencers, and why "it's safe until it isn't" captures the raw milk debate perfectly. Then, Arizona's viral dance crew takes center stage. These young girls from Mesa's Impact Dance company danced their way to internet fame with "Tulsa Time" and scored a dream moment on stage with Lainey Wilson. The hosts celebrate age-appropriate representation and genuine talent in a world of overly sexualized youth performance. Next, they taste-test Lady Gaga's viral wine and Diet Coke combination (spoiler: Tara's not impressed). What started as a trendy drink reveal turns into a cultural lesson about Spanish cocktail traditions and how American influencers often miss the mark on cultural context. And finally, a deep dive into GMO cheese misinformation. When a wellness influencer with 600K followers claims Pfizer is secretly putting GMOs in 90% of US cheese, the hosts break down the science behind fermentation-produced chymosin and why fear-mongering about food processes helps no one. BUT WAIT — there's more! Stick around for their disco debrief on Ballerina Farm's new brick-and-mortar store in Utah, plus sponsor shoutouts that'll have you stocking your pantry with heritage flour and farm-fresh everything. In the year 2000, Michael Elowitz and Stanislas Leibler published the first paper on a genetic circuit built in E. coli. A couple of years later, the first mammalian synthetic circuits emerged with work from Fussenegger in human cell lines.Genetic engineers remained blind to plants until the late 2010s, when similar genetic engineering efforts started in the autotrophs. Long time scales, heterogeneous cell types, and high polyploidy are only some of the technical challenges of plant engineering.Meanwhile, plants account for 80% of all biomass on Earth, they are our carbon capture machines by excellence, the original source of most pharmaceuticals in the world, and the basis of all of agriculture. For startups and academic labs alike, the fact that plant (genetic) engineering lags ~15 years behind other organisms means that the ocean is blue, and a green field lies ahead. When engineered, plants can serve as low-cost, natural bioreactors for pharmaceutical and cosmetic ingredients, for textiles and functional food… they can fix more carbon from the air and produce more food and, in some weird cases, they can even be turned into digital data storage devices and metal mining machines. The following is a Biopunk Tour of the Brophy Lab in Stanford, where they are building new genetic engineering tools for plants and their associated microbes, towards a sustainable future. Their PI, Jennifer Brophy, famously built the first logic gates in plants during her postdoc, setting a precedent for the Brophytes

re GMOs the solution to Africa's food crisis or a hidden threat to our health and future?
In this episode, Matt delves into the curious and cautionary tale of Delta Sleep-Inducing Peptide (DSIP), once hailed as a potential miracle cure for insomnia. In the 1970s, researchers were on a quest for a single "somnogenic molecule" that could act as the brain's natural sleep switch. A Swiss team believed they had found it, isolating a peptide that appeared to rapidly induce deep, slow-wave sleep when injected into animals. This initial excitement led to bold claims and sparked decades of research into what seemed to be a revolutionary breakthrough in sleep science. However, the promising discovery soon began to unravel under closer scientific scrutiny. Red flags emerged, including the inability to find the gene that coded for DSIP and the peptide's extreme fragility, which prevented it from effectively reaching the brain. When rigorous, placebo-controlled human trials were finally conducted, the results were profoundly disappointing, showing no significant clinical benefit over a placebo. Ultimately, the story of DSIP serves as a powerful lesson on the dangers of scientific overconfidence, the critical importance of replication and skepticism, and the profound complexity of sleep regulation, reminding us that there is no single "magic bullet" for a good night's sleep. Please note that Matt is not a medical doctor, and none of the content in this podcast should be considered medical advice in any way, shape, or form, nor prescriptive in any way.In a supplement industry where trust is critical, Matt uses podcast partner Puori. Matt explores the human capacity for echolocation this week, dismantling the myth that this "biological sonar" is exclusive to animals. Revealing how peer-reviewed research shows all human brains possess the neural hardware to "see" with sound, Matt explains the physics of how sound creates detailed acoustic maps of our environment and introduces the brain's remarkable plasticity, setting the stage for this incredible sensory adaptation. The episode features stories of pioneers like Daniel Kish, who use echolocation to navigate with astonishing precision. Matt discusses groundbreaking studies from UC Berkeley and Durham University, where brain scans revealed the visual cortex rewires itself to process sound as spatial information. This evidence proves echolocation is not a rare gift but a learnable skill, forcing a reevaluation of the limits of human perception and the brain's adaptive power. Please note that Matt is not a medical doctor, and none of the content in this podcast should be considered medical advice in any way, shape, or form, nor prescriptive in any way.As a huge supporter of mission-driven companies, Matt recommends new partner Branch Basics. Food Travel USA with Elizabeth DoughertyAlbum: The TRUTH About Food and Travel 080225 Episode #: 1967 Original Broadcast Date: 12/3/2011 From the Food Travel USA Archives. In 2011, Elizabeth Dougherty spoke with Boulder Weekly columnist and former Boulder city councilman Paul Danish for a wide-ranging interview on GMOs, glyphosate, and the politics of food. At the time, Danish had just published a fiery editorial titled “Anti-GMO Activism is EVIL,” defending Roundup and dismissing critics as hysterical. Fourteen years later, we're re-presenting that original interview — and, more importantly, following up on two disturbing moments that have only become more explosive with time. The first is Danish's casual brag that his father had “got approved” chemicals far more dangerous than Roundup — a remark that sent us digging into historical archives and uncovered a toxic trail through one of the most infamous pesticide labs in U.S. history. The second is far darker: his reaction when Elizabeth mentioned the coming Seeds of Freedom campaign, which would claim more than a quarter-million Indian farmers had taken their own lives after being crushed by GMO seed debt and chemical dependence. Danish's response? He laughed. You'll hear the full exchange, the original audio exactly as it happened, and our comments after the fact. Listen closely — because what we found may change the way you remember this conversation. In this eye-opening episode, Dr. Nicole Rivera dives deep into the often misunderstood world of autoimmunity. While conventional conversations tend to focus on genetics, diagnoses, or isolated immune dysfunction, Dr. Nicole challenges the surface-level narratives and unpacks what's really driving autoimmune conditions behind the scenes. From gut health to neurological decline, environmental toxins to testing limitations, this episode explores how a broken foundation—rather than just bad luck or bad genes—sets the stage for chronic immune issues. If you or a loved one has been chasing labels like lupus, RA, or autoimmune diabetes without getting answers, this is the missing link you've been looking for. You'll learn why “one-size-fits-all” protocols rarely work and how to start asking the right questions that actually lead to transformation.
Zen Honeycutt, founder and executive director of Moms Across America and author of “Unstoppable: Transforming Sickness and Struggle into Triumph, Empowerment and a Celebration of Community,” details the origins and mission of the nonprofit organization aimed at transforming the food supply and improving health by reducing chemicals in food, water, and air. Highlighting the impact of grassroots activism, Honeycutt illustrates how the organization's initiatives have driven significant awareness and policy changes, including advances in organic food consumption and labeling. She also touches on the challenges posed by government and corporate influences, advocating for policies that put children's health and safety first. Honeycutt emphasizes the importance of individual actions and community involvement in creating a healthier future.

What happens when a 16-year-old boy runs away from chemotherapy—and survives? In this gripping episode of the Nutritional Therapy and Wellness Podcast, Jamie Belz sits down with Billy Best, the teen who became a national sensation in 1994 when he fled conventional cancer treatment in search of something different. Diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma, Billy rejected chemotherapy after watching it ravage his aunt's health and instead placed his trust in faith, intuition, and the wisdom of thousands of everyday people who reached out to introduce him to a whole new world of natural healing. Billy's story is more than a medical anomaly—it's a powerful testimony of medical freedom, holistic healing, and the suppressed potential of natural medicine. His healing protocol included nutritional therapy, Essiac tea, and 714X lymphatic injections, along with a radical mindset shift, spiritual surrender, and a deep belief in the body's ability to heal. Within months, his cancer was gone. Billy didn't just survive. He healed. And in the early days of his recovery, he believed—with everything in him—that his story would change the world. That people would wake up. That natural medicine would finally be heard. That the truth would matter. But it didn't. Instead, Billy faced the crushing reality of censorship, media manipulation, and corporate control. His miraculous outcome wasn't celebrated—it was buried. Stories were pulled at the last minute. Reporters were silenced. And the very system that claims to be searching for a cure wanted nothing to do with the one he'd found. In this episode, you'll discover: The viral true story behind Billy Best's escape from chemotherapy What 714X is, how it works, and why it's banned in the U.S. How bio-individuality, nutrition, and mindset played key roles in his healing The power of belief, faith, and spirituality in the healing process Why Billy believed he'd found the cure for cancer—and what happened when no one wanted it The disturbing link between pharma-funded media, cancer fundraising, and censorship Insight into Codex Alimentarius, glyphosate, GMOs, and the global food agenda Why we must reclaim health freedom and medical sovereignty now more than ever Billy also speaks candidly about the emotional aftermath—how addiction, trauma, and grief shaped the decades following his recovery—and why he's still fighting, 30 years later, to help others awaken, question, and heal. This is more than a survival story. It's a raw, unflinching testimony of what happens when someone dares to trust their gut, break the rules, and walk a path no one else will. And it's a heartbreaking reminder that sometimes, even when you've found the truth, the world just isn't ready for it. Whether you're a practitioner, cancer survivor, or someone seeking health freedom, this conversation is a must-listen. Food Travel USA with Elizabeth Dougherty 2025-0726 FOOD TRAVEL USA WITH ELIZABETH DOUGHERTY The TRUTH About Food and Travel Original Broadcast Date: 07/26/2025 FULL SHOW: In her Food News, Elizabeth opens with a look at what might seem like a smart move—Trump nudging Coca-Cola to cut high-fructose corn syrup. But it's got bigger implications! In Servers Revenge, we go straight into the mess Congress created by screwing around with Trump's "NO TAX ON TIPS" promise. Restaurants are in chaos, and workers are getting the short end of it again. Then we count down the Top 10 U.S. cities with the cleanest drinking water—because maybe there are still a few places where you can trust what comes out of the tap. In Travel News, Delta Airlines is using AI to jack up ticket prices while pretending it's all about “efficiency.” Elizabeth also exposes a backdoor move in Congress to protect pesticide makers by letting them off the hook for harm. We've got a privacy alert about hearing aids connected to your phone—yes, they can record and transmit your conversations. Then it's something a little different: the sky's going to light up with meteor showers in July and August, and some say it marks the shift into the so-called Age of Aquarius. Finally, Elizabeth takes us to Santa Fe, New Mexico, for this week's Destination Unknown—where food, art, and something deeper all come together. RESTAURANT WORKERS, CORPORATE HOSTAGES Food Travel USA with Elizabeth DoughertyAlbum: The TRUTH About Food and Travel 072625 Episode #: 1952 Original Broadcast Date: 07/26/25 The next time you tip your server, remember this: you're not just rewarding good service—you're covering a billion-dollar corporation's payroll. That's not hyperbole. Thanks to a legal loophole, giant restaurant chains pay their front-line workers as little as $2.13 an hour, then expect you to make up the rest. These companies rake in billions, funnel profits to executives and shareholders, and still refuse to pay their own customer-facing, front-line employees a livable wage. They call it “tipping culture.” We call it wage theft disguised as tradition. And here's the kicker—if that underpaid server doesn't earn enough in tips to reach minimum wage? Technically, the company's supposed to make up the difference. But they rarely do. Why? Because they know customers will keep blindly paying the gap. This isn't just shady—it's systematic exploitation. These fat-cat CEOs get richer while we, the customers, get guilt-tripped into footing the bill. Meanwhile, servers scrape by with no benefits, no job security, and no respect. Enough is enough. It's time to call out this rigged system for what it is: corporate greed, hiding behind a smile and a side of fries. In this podcast, you'll hear mention of how two companies (BlackRock and Vanguard) own sizeable shares of these HUGE restaurant chains with recognizable names. Here's the breakdown according to Chat GPT: BlackRock and Vanguard are the two largest asset managers in the world, and they hold shares in virtually every major publicly traded company, including nearly all large restaurant chains. They don't "own" these companies outright, but they control significant voting power through institutional investments on behalf of index funds and ETFs. Here are major restaurant chains in which BlackRock and Vanguard are known top shareholders: ✅ Fast Food & Quick Service Chains McDonald's (MCD) Yum! Brands (YUM) – owns KFC, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut Restaurant Brands International (QSR) – owns Burger King, Popeyes, Tim Hortons Wendy's (WEN) Chipotle Mexican Grill (CMG) Domino's Pizza (DPZ) Jack in the Box (JACK) Shake Shack (SHAK) Wingstop (WING) Del Taco (now owned by Jack in the Box) ✅ Casual Dining Chains Darden Restaurants (DRI) – owns Olive Garden, LongHorn Steakhouse, Cheddar's Brinker International (EAT) – owns Chili's, Maggiano's Little Italy Bloomin' Brands (BLMN) – owns Outback Steakhouse, Carrabba's, Bonefish Grill Texas Roadhouse (TXRH) Cracker Barrel (CBRL) The Cheesecake Factory (CAKE) BJ's Restaurants (BJRI) Red Robin (RRGB) ✅ Coffee, Bakery, and Specialty Chains Starbucks (SBUX) Dunkin' (was public; now private under Inspire Brands) Krispy Kreme (DNUT) BlackRock and Vanguard typically hold 5% to 15% stakes in these companies, and when combined, they're often the top two shareholders—effectively giving them immense influence over board decisions, executive pay, and corporate policies. In this episode of MAHA News, Jordan Sather and Nate Prince unpack the media's escalating meltdowns as legacy narratives collapse. From NBC's panic over Trump's growing support and Latino voter shifts to the renewed efforts to control information via Google's AI-driven “About this image” tool, the hosts spotlight the system's desperation to regain narrative dominance. They take a deep dive into the latest revelations about Fauci's involvement in the lab leak coverup and the sketchy origins of virus samples used to justify lockdowns. Jordan and Nate also explore how environmental groups are now questioning vaccine safety, signaling a potential awakening in traditionally left-leaning circles. The conversation touches on BlackRock's exposure in a real estate market downturn, war drums beating over Taiwan, and the curious political theater around the Epstein story's resurfacing. With sharp commentary and plenty of receipts, this episode calls out the contradictions, controlled narratives, and psychological warfare still being deployed on the public. As the system tries to reassert control, the hosts remind listeners that truth is rising, and the louder the propaganda gets, the closer we are to breakthrough.

Ep 216 | This week on Discover Ag, Natalie and Tara dive into the drama, empowerment, and pop culture impact behind the new Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders documentary series. From a jaw-dropping 400% pay raise to emotional audition cuts, they unpack what's changed for these iconic performers and what still needs work. Natalie and Tara also celebrate the winners of the Discover Ag NASCAR giveaway and tease a DISCOs meetup. From there, they break down some surprising food headlines: a Haribo candy recall linked to cannabis, misleading claims about soil health and “only 60 harvests left,” and what's really driving nutrient loss in our food system. If you've ever wondered whether expired Sour Punch Straws are a real threat (spoiler: not really) or felt confused about breeding vs. GMOs when it comes to flavor and nutrition, this episode is for you. What We Discovered This Week
I keep an eye on this girl. She makes this happen. As a college athlete, mom and wine brand manager, Monika is always "shaking the tree."I am inspisred by her tenacity and I am impressed with her no-nonsense approach to branding wine. Monika Elling doesn't just swirl her wine—she stirs the conversation and upends what you thought you knew about what's in your glass (and your grocery cart). She brings both a sharp palate and a sharper intellect to Wine Talks, joining Paul Kalemkiarian for an episode that pulls no punches on food, drink, and health. You'll plunge into topics most winemakers and marketers avoid, like the disquieting truth that Americans are less healthy than ever before and what's really behind those glossy ‘healthy' labels in the supermarket aisles. Monika, part nutritionist, part entrepreneur, and always a provocateur, shares her journey from understanding food as fuel for athletes to scrutinizing every hidden ingredient in products she once trusted. Expect to learn why military-aged youth are falling short of basic health standards, what's lurking behind the flavor in your favorite Gatorade and even your salt, and how family, convenience, and industrial-scale food have conspired to compromise our collective well-being. The conversation travels from the origins of breakfast cereal to government-mandated food pyramids, the controversial rise of GMOs, and the labyrinthine world of non-alcoholic wine—pulling back the curtain on marketing hype and voluntary misinformation. You'll get the inside scoop on how Prosecco can be reinvented for health-conscious palates and why nutritional labels on vino might become a movement, not just a curiosity. If you've ever wondered how to really eat—and drink—for wellness in a sea of modern confusion, or if you're curious how industry insiders are fighting back against processed “sugar bombs” in wine and food, listen in. By the end, you'll come away not just with a new understanding of wine, but with the intellectual tools to decode what's really going into your body, one label at a time. ✅ Are we really eating and drinking ourselves into a health crisis? ✅ Monika Elling joins Paul Kalemkiarian on Wine Talks podcast to unravel the hidden dangers in today's food and beverage world. ✅ With her deep expertise in nutrition and decades in the beverage alcohol industry, Monika exposes what's changed in our food, why our health is suffering, and how smart choices in wine—like her new zero-sugar Prosecco—can make a difference. ✅ Want to know what's REALLY in your glass and on your plate? Listen to this episode and discover the surprising truth!

Hello and welcome to Entangled! The podcast where we explore the science of consciousness, the true nature of reality, and what it means to be a spiritual being having a human experience.I'm your host Jordan Youkilis, and today I'm joined by my friend Dr. Peter Petropulos, founder of Rejuvenate Wellness Center. In this episode, Dr. P details his career, from joining the Navy as a Medical Corpsman, moving into the medical school path, and ultimately focusing on traditional medicine, where he earned his Doctor of Chiropractic and started his own practice.Peter and I discuss the distinguishing characteristics of alternative / traditional medicine relative to western medicine, and how the Rockefellers changed the paradigm of modern medicine to focus on petrochemical, pharmaceutical based interventions. We then discuss problems associated with GMOs, pesticides, and forever chemicals, and the connections between Big Ag and Big Chemical.Next, we discuss the cost benefit analysis conducted by “leaders” of Big Pharma, and their callous decisions to roll out new medicines if their expected drug profits exceed expected litigation payouts. Dr. Petropulos explains why we need to make vaccine manufacturers liable again, after the disastrous decision in 1986 to pass the National Vaccine Childhood Injury Act.From there, we discuss the impact of DDT on paralytic disease, and the connection between the elimination of DDT and the reduction in polio. We consider vaccine orthodoxy, and why people are so afraid to question it, especially as it relates to autism.Dr. Petropulos explains why orthodoxy precludes us from looking for the real etiology of diseases and for real treatments. We ask why safe and efficacious treatments like ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine were suppressed during the pandemic, but deadly, dangerous interventions like remdesivir, molnupiravir, and ventilators were promoted.Next, we discuss the ruling elites' ties to Malthusian ideology, eugenics, and depopulation. Peter explains the process of virus isolation and genomic consensus, and why these are presumptive and speculative. We consider Dr. Fauci's long history of criminality, including during the AIDS epidemic, and the curious fact that Burroughs Wellcome manufactures both “poppers” and AZT.We then discuss the failures of PCR tests, and why its inventor, Dr. Kary Mullis, has been such a staunch opponent of Fauci for decades. We consider the correlation of flu epidemics and solar maximums, and the deregulating impact of electromagnetic frequency. We then discuss the fear propaganda pumped by the establishment, and the impact of weather manipulation on EMF stressors. From there, Dr. P explains how he has been involved with vaccine safety for decades, and how that connected him to Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and Children's Health Defense. We consider how the media has been able to enforce vaccine orthodoxy. Dr. Petropulos explains his main hopes for Secretary Kennedy's HHS, including eliminating pharmaceutical advertising, removing indemnity from vaccine manufacturers, and ending the funding of medical schools by criminal NGOs.We then discuss the need for COVID-19 pandemic accountability, and our hopes that Attorney General Pam Bondi will bring justice to the biggest perpetrators of the Plandemic fraud, including Tony Fauci, George Soros and Bill Gates. We then consider the revolution of media and the high caliber of content being produced today. Dr. Petropulos explains how he came around to the MAGA MAHA Alliance, and why President Trump needs to take ownership for the failures of Operation Warp Speed. We then discuss the release of the Epstein files and his connections to intelligence, organized crime, and the elitist class. We consider the use of sexual blackmail as a tool of control and its insidious ties to the occult. We ask what the future has in store for the oligarchy, and discuss why the central bankers need to be held accountable for their crimes against humanity.Peter and I then discuss political reform at the state and local level, the future of the Democratic party, and how to end the polarization of politics. Dr. P describes the expansion of Children's Health Defense to Colorado, the spread of information related to vaccine injuries, and the increase in sudden deaths following the COVID “vaccination” program.Dr. P describes the importance of shifting off a mandatory vaccine schedule and the ethical necessity of informed consent. We conclude the conversation highlighting COVID-19 as a moment of awakening for the general public and for influential members of the scientific community. This outro is titled: “Vaxxed & Unafraid”. It's impossible to ignore the interconnectedness of global justice issues and the complexity of systems that affect societies. Sometimes a system enables people to thrive and other times the system puts people at risk. A clear example of this is looking at food systems and malnutrition in Central America. To help us dive deeper, we have Curt Bowen of Semilla Nueva on the show today. The FDA is finally banning a few food dyes... but why are we still swallowing chemicals that Europe kicked to the curb over a decade ago? Your protein bar, your salad dressing, even your kid's cereal — they're all hiding ingredients that mess with your brain, hormones, and gut... and you probably have no idea. And here's the kicker: There are over 14,000 food additives approved for use in the U.S. — many of which have never been tested for long-term safety. So yeah, pulling Red 3 is a start… but it barely scratches the surface. As consumers, we've been left to play detective — trying to decode labels, memorize chemical aliases, and guess whether what we're eating is actually safe. So in today's episode, we're breaking it all down. What the FDA's announcement really means, why it's taken so long, and what you can do right now to stop being a food system guinea pig and start taking back control of your plate. JUST FOR YOU: Grab my FREE 7-day smoothie challenge recipe guide here and fuel up on high-powered sustenance to get you ready for summer. https://chefmareya.com/ Superfood Sprinkle: It's your last chance to grab our Superfood Sprinkle Gift Box before she goes buh-bye. Over $32 worth of freebies for just $34.99. https://www.mysuperfoodsprinkle.com/products/buy-1-get-a-free-refill-shipping Welcome to The Real Dish, the podcast where we break down what's really going on in our food system — without the fluff, fillers, or funky additives. I'm your host, Chef Mareya — chef, nutritionist, mom, food activist, and the creator of Superfood Sprinkle and EatCleaner. And today, we're peeling back the label on something that should be good news… but needs a deeper look. The FDA just announced that artificial colors — like Red 3, Yellow 5, and Blue 1 — are being phased out within the next two years. Yes, they're finally listening to the science, the petitions, and the parents who've been shouting this from the rooftops for decades. And while that's a step in the right direction, here's the truth: it's not enough. Cleaning up our food supply isn't just about removing bright red cereal dye. It's about looking at everything that's slipping into our food system — and what it's doing to our bodies. So in this episode, we're unpacking the Top 10 Food Issues You Should Actually Be Paying Attention To — with real talk, real solutions, and zero guilt. Let's dig in.

Amid the big news that the Vatican has elected an American as Pope, another trending story is Bill Gates's apparent issue with Elon Musk. The "other" billionaire expressed his disgust with Musk's role in shuttering the U.S. Agency for International Development, saying that “the world's richest man” was “killing the world's poorest children.” This is hypocrisy, as Bill Gates benefits from the NGO Deep State soup that USAID is a part of. Not only is this phony philanthropist creating toxic GMO foods, providing poisonous vaccines for children in third world countries, but he's also funding geoengineering technology to dim the sun through "chemtrails." Glyphosate is a toxic carcinogenic chemical found in RoundUp, a weedkiller that is routinely sprayed on our lawns and crops. But the bad news doesn't stop there! It is making its way into the food we eat, the air, and the water. Worse still, the maker of glyphosate, Bayer, is working on passing liability shield legislation so that they cannot be sued for the way the poison in their products is affecting the nation! Today, Kelly Ryerson, known as the Glyphosate Girl, explains why she is working so hard to inform the public about the dangers of glyphosate and the company that wants to protect itself from the fallout of the harm it is causing. Kelly goes over the legislation that is being considered in various states across the country. She also explains why glyphosate is so damaging, how it personally affected her own life, and how a General Mills whistleblower helped her to connect the dots about it all. Update: The liability legislation being considered in North Dakota, at the time of the interview, has since been passed in that state. Find out how to lose visceral fat by avoiding the 6 foods that prevent belly fat loss. In this video, I'm going to tell you what NOT to eat to lose belly fat. Avoid these foods if you want a flat stomach!Visceral fat surrounds the organs and keeps your body in a state of inflammation, preventing fat loss. Avoid these 6 foods that prevent fat loss. 1. Low-fat yogurtLow-fat yogurt is typically high in sugar and often contains industrial food starches like modified food starch, modified corn starch, or maltodextrin. Starch is not sweet, so people consume much more than sugar. It's higher on the glycemic index than sugar and is used to add bulk to a product. 2. Processed meat Hot dogs contain industrial sugars such as corn syrup that will spike blood sugar. Adding sugar to meat creates advanced glycated proteins. Organic grass-fed beef hot dogs are a good option!3. Atkins products These products are marketed as low-carb and keto-friendly but contain very low-quality ingredients such as soy protein isolates, seed oils, GMOs, and synthetic fibers. These can cause bloating and diarrhea and also prevent fat loss.5. Juice Many products marketed as “juice” often only contain minimal amounts of fruit juice and have high amounts of sweeteners, such as high-fructose corn syrup. Juice from concentrate is devoid of nutrients. Fructose found in fruit juice can only be broken down by the liver, which can contribute more to a fatty liver than glucose. 6. Agave nectar This sweetener seems healthy but is very high in fructose, which is hard on the liver. Coconut sugar and honey are better options but should be avoided when focusing on fat loss. 7. MayonnaiseProcessed mayo is mainly composed of soy oil. This type of fat is stored in the fat cells and isn't burned by the body as quickly as saturated fat. Seed oils like soy oil may be at the root of chronic disease.
