We sit down with Pokemaster JoCat to learn a thing to or about the wild world of Nuzlockes! JoCat is fresh off their own Pokemon Journey and shares all the required rules for our upcoming Soul Silver / Heart Gold adventure. But It doesn't stop there: Garrett and Kyle have built the tech to take this adventure to the next level. Our upcoming Soul Link adventure will be also Randomized.

Flight nurse Claire Barnett joins host Jana Price on Nurse Converse to share one of the most intense survival stories in flight nursing.Claire is a quadruple board-certified emergency nurse and the chief flight nurse for an international medevac company. About a year and a half ago, she and her trainee partner accepted a flight to pick up a young man with possible hantavirus. The plan was solid. The weather looked manageable. Then everything changed.Fifteen minutes into the flight, the storm closed in behind them. The pilot was forced to land in the middle of nowhere as a blizzard rolled over them. With a critically ill patient, limited oxygen, no cell service, and search and rescue unable to reach them, Claire had to make decisions that went against every protocol she had been trained on — including giving Ativan to slow her patient's breathing and save what little oxygen they had left. This episode is about more than survival. It's about what flight nurses face every shift, the weight of being someone's only hope, and the six Navajo search and rescue heroes who spent five hours building a road to reach them. Claire also shares the advice every new nurse needs to hear: don't lose your voice.Jump Ahead: 00:38 — Welcome and introducing Claire Barnett01:45 — From concrete dispatcher to nurse: the story that started it all04:27 — Why flight nursing was always the dream06:01 — The setup: a young patient with possible hantavirus09:00 — Weighing the storm and the patient's oxygen needs11:30 — At the bedside: hypoxic, tachypneic, alert and oriented13:00 — Lift-off and the storm closing in14:30 — Landing in a whiteout in the middle of nowhere17:00 — The oxygen problem and an out-of-protocol decision20:19 — The RAM cannula and the BiPAP workaround22:00 — Giving Ativan to slow the patient's breathing24:21 — The helicopter confessional26:00 — The call to prepare for the worst27:30 — Headlights in the storm: the Navajo rescue team29:00 — Wrapping the patient and sliding down the mountain30:30 — Claire's first intubation in the back of an ambulance32:30 — What it feels like knowing every flight could be your last36:07 — Claire's advice to new nurses: don't lose your voice37:30 — The nurse who became a nurse because of Claire38:44 — Closing thanksListen now at nurse.org/nurseconverse.For more information, full transcript and videos visit Nurse.org/podcastJoin our newsletter at nurse.org/joinInstagram: @nurse_orgTikTok: @nurse.orgFacebook: @nurse.orgYouTube: Nurse.org

Plus: Quinn experiments with a frico Oklahoma smash burger and jam-based semifreddo, the crew debates Blizzards, Carvel cakes, Burger King fries, hot dog preferences, low-temp eggs for service, polydextrose in cocktails, oil-blanched fries, and homemade boquerones. Hello to you listening in Da Nang, Vietnam! Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds for Motivate Your Monday and your host, Diane Wyzga. As a storyteller I know that conflict is the driving force of any story. No conflict - no story. A character can struggle externally with outside forces like a person or situation as well as internally against fears, doubts and flaws in her own mind. While conflict feels miserable resolving the conflict often dictates how the character grows when she figures a way out of the hole she's in. Once, when I was feeling hopeless and couldn't see a way out my neighbor Fred showed me an illustration, a sketch of a man dressed in a business suit carrying a briefcase and trapped in a swirling blizzard of sheets of paper. You're here, he said, pointing to the man, feeling caught in a tempest, seeing no way out. Think of each sheet of paper as an option. Choose one. It doesn't matter which you choose. What matters is that you choose. Choosing will calm the chaos you feel and begin to reveal choices. And then what? I asked. Focus on that one choice. Make a decision. Feel the shift in your situation. You've done something. Gained a bit of control. Now, choose another. Focus. Gain control. Do it again and again until you see your way clear. It works. I promise. I'm here to say that all these years later Fred is still right. Give it a go! Then you'll know. You're always welcome: "Come for the stories - Stay for the magic!" Speaking of magic, I hope you'll subscribe, share a 5-star rating and nice review on your social media or podcast channel of choice, bring your friends and rellies, and join us! This week we tell Crest Caps to rest in pieces as Blizzard lifts them a bit early in this opening section of Midnight. Joe gets salacious about addons and new functionality on the PTR. We all hope the Siege of Orgrimmar doesn't last as long as it originally did on any iteration of Classic. Matt throws a bit of a statistical wrench in the works, saying several other raid tiers were actually longer — but it sure didn't feel that way.And next seasonal rollover of Diablo 4 is at the end of June, so you have that long to decide whether you want to purchase all those cool tier 2 World of Warcraft crossover transmogs. Also, we're all laughing at the Krafton CEO, thinking he could get out of paying bonuses for Subnautica 2 by asking ChatGPT. Anyway, the game sold 2 million copies in 12 hours so they're definitely going to be out a ton of cash. We're assembling the team to take on a looming threat, and by that I mean we've got two buds together to explain the lore of a viewer-requested topic: Overwatch. Blizzard may have abandoned this story, but we will break it down and let you decide where the story would go. After all, everyone is an Overwatch (I think that's the tagline probably).

The GZ Chop Shop crew — Greg, Ty, and Ulysses — break down the biggest stories in gaming this week.First up: after three years of community hunting, Diablo 4's legendary secret Cow Level has finally been found — but is the payoff worth all that effort? The guys debate whether Blizzard should have done more with one of the franchise's most iconic traditions, and break down exactly how to unlock it (spoiler: you need to beat Lord of Hatred first and kill 666 cows). Then it's over to Xbox, where new CEO Asha Sharma is making moves fast. Game Pass Ultimate just dropped from $29.99 to $22.99 a month, Call of Duty is no longer a day-one title on the service, and the leadership deck is getting reshuffled. Is this the reset Xbox needed — or just a honeymoon phase? From there, Project Helix takes center stage. The next-gen Xbox console is generating more buzz under Sharma, but dev kits don't ship until 2027. The crew weighs in on whether the PC-console hybrid concept makes Xbox's identity clearer or murkier — and whether we even need new hardware yet.GTA 6 rounds out the main topics. November 19th is still the date, but the May 21st Take-Two earnings call is ten days away from this recording and the crew is watching the trailer situation closely.Plus: the Like a Dragon: Stranger Than Heaven trailer has Ty losing his mind over Tori Kelly, and the guys react to 86 Eighty-Six being pulled from Crunchyroll — which turns into a bigger conversation about streaming, licensing, and why the anime is always just the sales pitch.key topicsDiablo 4 secret cow level hunting processGTA 6 upcoming release and trailer expectationsXbox Project Helix development and future plansIndustry leadership changes and market strategy shiftsChapters00:00 The Discovery of the Cow Level in Diablo 406:53 Xbox's Leadership Changes and Game Pass Pricing18:51 The Future of Xbox Under New Leadership25:10 Microsoft's Leadership Changes and Xbox's Future28:26 Project Helix: The Future of Xbox38:07 GTA 6: Anticipation and Expectations45:01 Anime Adaptations and Streaming ConcernsVisit our Website: gzchopshoppodcast.comJoin our newsletter!Support this show http://supporter.acast.com/gzchopshop. Today we're joined by Nicholas Yochum, an LA based sound designer currently working at Blizzard on Overwatch, where he focuses on synthesized sounds to help create effects with a more clean, stylized aesthetic. He's on the heroes team and is currently working on new heroes for the game. Nicholas and I actually go way back to like 2012 in Boston, so it's cool to finally catch up. We get into how he got into the industry — starting out at a third party audio company called Hexany, which he describes as kind of like sound design boot camp, and eventually landing a senior sound designer role at Blizzard, which even he still seems a little surprised about. We talk about what stylized sound design actually means — why game audio has been pulling more and more from the electronic music world, and how listening to stuff like Noisia is basically research at this point. We also get into the difference between working at a third party studio versus being embedded on a game team, and why that sense of ownership and connection to the work ended up mattering a lot to him. Hope you enjoy it. Please welcome Nicholas Yochum. This week on the Microsoft Threat Intelligence Podcast, host Sherrod DeGrippo speaks with Danny Adamitis, Distinguished Engineer at Lumen Technologies' Black Lotus Labs who break down how the Russian state-linked threat actor Forest Blizzard is exploiting home and small office routers to hijack DNS traffic, enabling large-scale surveillance and targeted credential theft. The conversation highlights how this low-cost approach scales globally, why unmanaged routers have become a critical weak point, and how tactics, from brute force to token theft to DNS hijacking continue to evolve. In this episode you'll learn: How Forest Blizzard exploits home routers to intercept DNS traffic Why unmanaged routers are a major blind spot in modern security How tactics have evolved from brute force to token-based access Some questions we ask: What defines Forest Blizzard and how they operate? How does this impact machine-to-machine or service account security? What are the broader third-party or downstream risks? The Keys That Bind Us - Ep 39 SOLO QUEUE DISCORD available at: https://discord.gg/nXQVqERcSU Show Notes Welcome to Episode 39! – 2:13 Feeling lots of gratitude and a little sadness which we will talk about. Big thank you to you for supporting long-form audio content! Gratitude for the recent wave of growth of SQ, which has been downloaded in 57 countries, including a small wave in Vietnam. And, my wife and I have a strange, yet predictable real-life WoW interaction at a car dealership, of all places. Listen on, my friend! News – 6:37 Race to World First update, really? Don't look here for final scores, but I love the surprise secret phase which generated excitement in WoW and even in the wider gaming community – WoW in the wider culture! And then they released 12.0.5 which launched many features and many more bugs to fix. What is going on at Blizzard that this gets released in this state? I suggest the 8-week patch cycle be returned to the 11-week model of the Legion era. A Farewell to Bricco – 34:57 April saw the loss of former WoW podcaster and bright light in the WoW community Bricco. What started as sad news went deeper for me the more I looked into his WoW life. Husband, father, friend, and so much more, he will be missed by many, especially for his unending positivity. The Third Faction podcast's tribute: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q-v6QITm9Mo Drink of the Month – 49:51 This real glass of Jack Daniels Single Barrel Barrel-Strength Rye checks in at 130.1 proof. I tip the glass in honor of Bricco. More Than a Quest Giver – The Chronicle of Lesser Known Azerothians – 51:35 The first of hopefully many short introductions to below top-tier NPCs beginning with the badass orc Ritssyn Flamescowl! Emergency Bonus News – 56:34 0.7 gets announced chock full of features, but will it be another 8-week patch cycle fiasco? Bellular 12.0.7 preview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mzQuzJtQfqk&t=180s I invent the Running of the Kul Tirans community event with a sweet customization as a reward – make it so, Blizz! TurtleWoW gets shut down and I get a content creator invite to a brand new “private” server – I call them illegal servers. Main Topic: Changing Keybinds After 11 Years – 1:13:57 One-button rotation breaks the logjam of not wanting to change my keyboard commands and keybindings. The images will appear in the SQ Discord. I claim no expertise on this topic, but hope you enjoy me explaining my process that took nearly as long as this segment. “What Have You Done Lately?” – 2:00:11 Crickets. Busy time of year. Getting alts to work on side questing. The debate about getting time in game led me to actually say the b-word out loud, burn out. Question Queue – 02:09:27 I posed the question to the SQ of how long are your breaks from WoW? Times varied, but it is becoming clear to me that it is okay to take some time away. Closing Thoughts – 2:15:26 But, I am still loving making this show, even when it's difficult. BlizzCon is in 4 months! One last thanks to Bricco… Outro – 2:18:25 Thanks to you, to Blizzard for the amazing music and sound, to OGRE for intro/outro music, my lovely and supportive wife, my family, and YOU for listening. This week, Matt, Joe, Liz, and our special guest host Six, are all waiting patiently to talk about Lord of Hatred, the new expansion for Diablo 4 which came out earlier this week. So they'll talk a little bit about World of Warcraft patch 12.0.5 first, kind of like the concept of "eating the frog," where you do the gross thing first to get it out of the way as fast as possible. Patch 12.0.5 probably wasn't that bad -- probably -- but it did have its grossness, with so many bugs that Blizzard apologized in a blog post, and Senior Game Designer Paul Kubit went on our bestie Evitel and some other dude's podcast and did damage control. Oh, and Hearthstone announced a thing. Class minisets, or whatever. But then, they got to talk about Lord of Hatred and oh boy are they excited about it. They thought a lot of the changes revolutionized how the game feels and plays -- maybe not all the way up to a Reaper of Souls for how it made Diablo 3suddenly a classic, but it's close. Skill trees, charms, bears -- and no story spoilers, even though Joe already got spoiled on it.If you have a few minutes, please fill out our survey to tell us what you think about the podcast. Welcome to Dev Game Club, where this week we continue our series on Dungeon Keeper. We talk about the weird mix of genres this game presents, and the unique problems that presents to level design and for the player. Welcome to Dev Game Club, where this week we continue our series on 1997's Dungeon Keeper.
