Sean leaned on his experience as a former professional athlete, skilled marketing director and entrepreneurial spirit to create BUBS Naturals along with business partner TJ Ferrara , the purest form of collagen protein on the market. The spark for the business came as a combination of FEELING GREAT with quality product and DOING GOOD by donating 10% of all profits to charity. That charity is the Glen Doherty Memorial Foundation in memory of his lifelong friend, Glen "BUB" Doherty, a Navy SEAL heroically killed in Benghazi during the 9/11 terrorist attacks (if you’ve seen the movie 13 Hours then you know part of Glen's amazing story). She and Sean enjoy pushing their bodies and minds in effort to grow continuously and live by the BUBS’ motto: Die young, as late as possible. INTRODUCE YOURSELF to Steph and Dr. Elana on Instagram. John 4 tells the familiar story of Jesus meeting the woman at the well and how He offered her what she really wanted even though she didn't know what that was!God's welcoming heart is revealed to the woman at the well, someone who was an outcast in so many ways, and we learn 4 things about showing hospitality, and they all have to do with trusting God. On the surface, this looks like it’s the woman’s hospitality to Jesus, but it quickly switches to God’s hospitality to her. “This is your invitation, and it’s the invitation of a lifetime.” In this familiar story, we find lovely interchangeability of hospitality: God welcomes us and we welcome Him into our lives. God's welcome is abundant, as we read in Psalm 36. He initiated the relationship by creating us. He welcomed us back by sending His Son. And at the same time we play host to Him—He knocks on our door, and we welcome Him into every corner of our lives. We say, “Lord, make Yourself at home in us. We are at your service.”We all know how it feels to be the new person on the block. How can you feel at home quickly in this time of social isolation? Julie, Kendra, and Kristin—creators of the growing online community The Ruth Experience—are three friends whose lives are intertwined as writers, speakers, wives, moms, and world-changers. They are the authors of five books, including their most recent The One Year Daily Acts of Kindness Devotional and 100 Days of Kindness. They believe that when we walk together as women, we can unleash new possibilities for ourselves—and others. Why a legacy of kindness? It all began with moms talking about the length of their kids' Christmas Wish Lists. How could pass on a legacy of giving vs receiving at the most wonderful time of the year? Advent Acts of Kindness was launched and the rest is history. When we look for ways to show kindness, we live more intentionally. We put it on the calendar. We follow through with actions instead of only thinking something is a good idea. And the best part? Our kids soak it up and become leaders in kindness without our having to tell them to be kind. There's nothing worse than knowing you have the greatest job in the world and feeling like a failure in that job. How can we parent with joy, confidence and purpose?Parenting is difficult (ask God, the Perfect Parent!) yet there is joy in the journey. And God, our Shepherd, is our comfort. Sarah Young wrote in her book, Jesus Calling:"Nothing is wasted when you are walking close to Me." (April 10)Nothing, Lord? That means whether I'm parenting, cooking, cleaning, resting - living! -- it doesn't matter what, what matters most is that I walk close to Jesus. This is my To-Do List to ensure I do just that: :::::::::A crockpot or instant pot is a mom's best friend. It’s time to discuss Faith No More’s sophomore release, Introduce Yourself! Right on! Their second album and last with Chuck Mosley on vocals, while often overlooked by the broader audience, IY holds a fondness in the hearts of the devoted FNM fan. The album reflects a maturing of the band’s overall sound but an end to that punkier edge. Many can’t listen past the wavering pitch of Chuck’s bellowing, while there’s an undeniable rawness and integrity living in his lyrics and delivery. We hope fans of the album will enjoy the dissection, and those critical may appreciate a new perspective. Also, welcome to Jim from Faith No More Followers. Ask The Tech Coach: A Podcast For Instructional Technology Coaches and EdTech Specialists
In this episode of “ Ask the Tech Coach (https://www.teachercast.net/episodes/ask-the-tech-coach/) ,” Jeff and Nick discuss why it’s important to start the school year off on the right foot. So many times, tech coaches want to jump in and impress their teachers with how much they know and how big their website is. In reality, this is the opposite. In order to have a successful start to the school year, it is important that you ask questions of your staff and get them to learn about your program and your intentions for working with them as a coach. It’s also important that you make yourself available to their needs as teachers. Do you have suggestions or tips for starting the school year off on the best foot? We would love to have you leave a comment or contact us to be a part of our Tech Coaching community. Damien and Desmond are back in hologram form to introduce themselves to the only record standing between them and Mike Patton: Faith No More's Introduce Yourself. Right off the bat, Desmond has a theory about Chuck that Damien agrees with. What do Wesley Willis and the Kids of Widney High have in common? They're both have better vocals than Chuck Mosley. The band name suggestions are played fast and loose as well as tangents about Fine Young Cannibals and dubstep. Damien makes a very vivid comparison from a song to what a herd of animals might be doing, and Desmond argues with a song. Again. All this and more. Can we have some Mike Patton now, please?
