We don't see it as an investment because typically when we're looking at diets or workout programs or things like that, they're really short-term solutions. And what I want to do is I want to reframe that. I want to change the narrative around our health so that we're thinking about how do I invest in my health? Because when we really think about it, when we're thinking about retirement, when we're thinking about financial freedom in our retirement, we don't want to be spending money on medication. We don't want to be spending time going to the doctor. We don't want to be spending money on insurance premiums. ...Taking care of your health doesn't help you live longer. It helps you to live more independently and to live better as you age. And so if you can live and not need medications and live independently in your home right now, versus going into some sort of assisted living facility, that's all going to save you money. And so taking care of your health today is one of the best investments that you can make in your future, especially in retirement." On Starting Small "Especially at the new year that if we need to or if we want to exercise five days a week, and our normal rule is to exercise for an hour a day, you do not need to exercise five days a week, or if your normal rule is to exercise for an hour a day, you do not have to exercise for an hour a day. You can start exercising, go for a walk for 15 minutes, go for a walk for five minutes, and do that for a while. Now, here's why this works. It works because it creates the habit of, or the skill rather of self-trust. Many of us, when we start a commitment to our health, there's something in the back of our heads that's like, yeah, but are you going to keep doing this? You've never been able to do it before. That little mean girl or inner critic inside of our heads, it's like full of self-doubt....

Today's episode is one that hits close to home for me. We're going to talk about maintaining relationships successfully while raising autistic children. As a Master Certified Life and Parent Coach, I've made it my mission to help families like yours navigate these challenging waters and I'm also here to tell you that it's possible to thrive as a couple and as parents raising autistic children. I'm going to share with you the top 10 reasons that relationships tend to fail when you're raising autistic children. And more importantly, I'm going to offer some relationship-saving strategies to help you stay connected and on the same parenting page with your partner. So, grab a cup of coffee, take a deep breath, and join me. Neglecting your own well-being can lead to burnout and resentment, affecting your relationship. Those feelings of resentment can build up if one of you feels like you're carrying the majority of the caregiving. One of you might be more accepting of the diagnosis, while the other may struggle to come to terms with it or even adamantly resist it. And then what happens is that this discrepancy in coping mechanisms can create tension and misunderstandings. Share your fears, your hopes, and your concerns about your child's future. Coming to terms with your child's diagnosis can be a long and challenging road. Be patient with each other, recognizing that you may be on different timelines in processing the diagnosis. By understanding, respecting, and supporting parents like us, you can contribute to a more inclusive and compassionate world for all individuals, regardless of their differences. Have you ever worked for—or been—an indecisive boss? How about someone who swoops in and “saves the day” time and again? Neither of those feel very good, either to the team or to the leader, yet they are far too common in today's workplace. Why is it so hard to find—or be—a great leader? The fact is, leadership is its own discipline, one that requires study and practice. Today's episode features a special guest expert on leadership development, Jen Frey. Jen is a Master Certified Life and Leadership Coach, speaker, and host of the Think on Purpose podcast. You're going to learn: How to build self-confidence so you can get over indecision and evolve as a leader How to empower your team to rise to their best and why "being lazy" will help you do that How to motivate people towards a goal, and why celebration works better than deprivation in this department For the full show notes and transcript visit: https://besuperabound.com/podcast/246-being-a-great-boss-with-jen-frey

After years of doubting herself and dedicating her efforts to helping her clients become their best selves, Master Certified Life and Business Coach Lisa Martinello faces an internal battle between striving for success and staying grounded in her values. In this episode, you will be able to:Discover the power of creativity for personal growth and unlocking coaching potential.Embrace the transformative "be what you don't have" mindset to elevate self-improvement.Master the art of balancing goal-setting with deadline flexibility to achieve your vision.Develop unshakeable confidence by nurturing a steadfast belief in eventual success.Learn the importance of allowing grace in goal pursuit to minimize pressure and stress. My special guest is Lisa Martinello.Lisa Martinello is a Master certified Life and Business coach. She helps coaches and entrepreneurs step into their next level of business by becoming the version of themselves they've always known they could be.She believes that growing in business means expanding who we are being, not just what we are doing. This is why she loves helping her clients to uplevel their identity, strategy and leadership and master the relationship with their future self to transform how they show up, serve and lead. Her coaching blends powerful inner growth with timeless business and marketing principles to help her clients access their self expression, and activate their magnetism and thought leadership - to create aligned success that feels good. The resources mentioned in this episode are:Try visualizing your future self in the first person, experiencing your life as if you were already living your vision.Set goals and focus on the vision and feelings associated with them, without being too attached to the specific deadline.Practice writing down what you want and what you want to create in a notebook regularly, to stay focused on your goals.Experiment with different goal-setting techniques to find what works best for you and allows you to work towards your goals with grace and abundance.Being the Person Before Having the ThingEmbracing the concept of "being the person before having the thing" fundamentally transforms the way we approach personal growth and goal-setting. By focusing on the person we want to become rather than solely concentrating on the desired outcome, we gain a more genuine understanding of our core values and aspirations. This shift in perspective not only makes our goals feel more achievable but also encourages us to become active participants in pursuing those aspirations. Lisa Martinello's approach to coaching highlights how crucial it is for individuals to embody the vision they have for their future selves. By identifying the traits and behaviors associated with the desired results, clients can begin to adopt those characteristics in their present lives. As Lisa stated, we need to "be the person who will create the result we want" in order to manifest our goals, and this entails evoking and embodying that vision as a tangible experience.Connect with LisaInstagramwww.lisamartinello.comConnect with Trista Drop me a comment or question: Instagram | TristavguertinFacebookwww.tristaguertin.com

Now, she helps too busy high-achieving online entrepreneurs simplify their schedules to 30 hours or less for more time and lifestyle freedom.TAKEAWAYS:Ads and funnels is Neill's top marketing strategies that works for her when she can't work. These two things married together simplify business and create an automated system that continues to work for you.Data tells the story. Tracking how many clicks through a funnel, sales page or email, tells if your automated system is actually working for you. If you notice things aren't working, adjust, and keep trying until you find what works best.Make sure your call to action is helping you make sales. If the sales page isn't working, it can feel like the whole funnel isn't working. Sometimes you just need to adjust your type of call to action, book a call versus a sales page, to see what more people will actually do.Set time boundaries. If you are doing a lot of 1-on-1 work, set boundaries around your availability. Don't burn yourself out. Today on Art of Online Business, I sat down with a recurring guest, Neill Williams, to talk about the four mistakes that we see coaches making when it comes to their lead magnets and building useless email lists. This isn't only applicable to coaches. These mistakes and tips can be applied to anyone, regardless of what they do in their business. Neill is a Master Certified Life and Time Coach through The Life Coach School, host of The Unbusy Your Life podcast, and creator of the $10K in 10 Hours Mastermind. Only after ditching her own belief that success was measured by the number of hours worked was Neill about to achieve true lifestyle freedom while juggling her roles as a mom, wife, Master Certified Coach, entrepreneur, and employee. Now, she helps too busy, high-achieving online entrepreneurs and side hustlers make the money they desire without sacrificing their time or lifestyle freedom. You want your lead magnet to be short, simple, and easily digestible so you can give your audience the quick win they need to know, like, and trust you.In this episode, you'll learn:What's in Neill's 100K Funnel courseThe importance of building a list that is full of the right peopleWhy a confused mind ignoresWhy your lead magnet needs to be simple, short, and easily digestibleTips for giving your audience a quick winWhy names are so important for your lead magnetsWhat you need to know about your cost per leadLinks & Resources:The Art of Online Business websiteDM me on InstagramVisit my YouTube channelThe Art of Online Business clips on YouTubeFull episodes of The Art of Online Business Podcast on YouTubeThe Art of Online Business Podcast websiteCheck out my Accelerator coaching programNeill Williams Links: Listen to the Unbusy Your Life podcastCheck out Neill's websiteFollow Neill on InstagramConnect with Neill on FacebookFull show notes available at www.rickmulready.com/632
Pleasure. If you're a soul-guided leader or entrepreneur, I know that it's on your radar. Because you've heard from countless coaches (me included!) that adding more pleasure to your day can help you fulfill your dreams in life and business. But even though you have probably heard it A LOT, you might be resisting the idea.Perhaps you think, “I'll add more pleasure to my life AFTER my business is successful.”Or “I don't have time for that.”Or maybe, “I do try to add more pleasure to my life, but I always return to hustling.”I hear you, and I feel you! When I first started out with my business, it was so difficult to add pleasure to my life. Even when I heard everyone talk about how this balanced approach enabled their business to prosper. I felt lost in the grind.
Emotional labor is the exertion of energy for the purpose of addressing people's feelings, making people comfortable, or living up to social expectations. It's called “emotional labor” because it ends up using – and often draining – our emotional resources. Emotional labor was a feeling I knew well before I knew it was a thing! It's such a relief to put language to something I could not previously articulate. I can recall many situations in past relationships, at work, or in family dynamics where I would end up profoundly resenting putting in the extra time when it came to doing the heavy lifting of emotional labor. "I'll clean if you just tell me what to clean!" or all the boyfriends who could not be bothered to pay attention to what I was saying I needed so that I had to spell it out! How about the time my father took me to girl scouts, and all the women in the room looked at him like he was a saint for doing something my mother had done a million times? How about at the office when I was expected to answer the door buzzer when we were all in the conference room in a meeting of peers? I mean, the examples go on and on and on and on… I loved this riveting conversation with Susan Hyatt; I know you'll love her energy. We were both practically buzzing with resonance in all we were sharing. In this episode, we cover some major ground: Where can other women start examining the impact of invisible labor in our own lives? First step- start noticing! Why do we call emotional labor the 3rd shift? The impact of placing the majority of emotional labor on women and how the symptoms often present Hear why Susan is so passionate about closing the gaps in gender roles with confidence, leisure, wealth, and more. Learn what steps you can take to close those gaps in your own life. Listen to how Susan started to gain clarity about how to get the men and kids around her to start taking up the emotional slack. The more we are honest about our struggles, the more we can help one another move through them. Staying indoctrinated into silence and shame keeps us there. Susan Hyatt is a Master Certified Life and Business Coach, and one of the world's leading voices on mindset, motivation, and how to become an unstoppable woman. She's also a #1 bestselling author and TEDx speaker; founder of the University for Life Coach Training; and the founder of BARE, a trademarked process that helps women shed body image issues, stop dieting, and treat their bodies with love and respect—leading to huge mental and physical health breakthroughs.

Today's episode of the podcast is an interview with Neill Williams. Neill is a Master Certified Life and Productivity Coach who helps too busy high-achieving online entrepreneurs scale back their work weeks to 30 hours or less so they can do what they most want to do, most of the time. We talk all about how we can become more productive and organised, as well as staying accountable so you can work smarter and reach your goals working fewer hours. We also give you some of the mindset tools and practical tools you need to do this! KEY TAKEAWAYS COVERED IN THE PODCAST Time does not = money. You can earn a great amount of money working less hours – it is possible. You have to have the mindset in place first to take the action of systemising or delegating in your business. Don't take your employee mindset into running your own business – you have to think about everything and hold yourself accountable. We are the CEO of our own businesses – everything is down to us. Let go of the cookie-cutter version of what you think a CEO looks like. To have self-integrity – you have to keep the promises you set yourself. Create an amazing relationship and don't let yourself down by not doing what you planned to do. When you give yourself less time, you have to be more efficient! Cutting hours is a great way to increase your productivity because it limits you being distracted and procrastinating. Ask yourself – does it make the boat go faster? Is what you are doing pushing you towards your goal? Carve out time for being the ‘employee' eg Fulfilling/delivering your product/service and being the ‘CEO' eg Marketing/selling. Schedule thinking time – you are solving a problem for someone. Give your brain things to focus on during this time eg what is my goal for next year? What are my next 3 steps? You don't have to do ALL the things – you need to have a focus and know where you are going. Scaling back the number of hours we have been conditioned to work gives us the freedom to be flexible and spontaneous. THE ONE THING YOU NEED TO REMEMBER ABOVE ALL ELSE… Don't add complexity when it comes to making money – it only takes one amazing offer or thing done really well and one platform. HIGHLIGHTS YOU SIMPLY CAN'T MISS How Neill scaled back her working hours but still hit 6 figures in her business. How you can work less hours whilst earning 6 figures. How to stay accountable when you are running your own business. How to be more productive in your day and get more done in less time. Intentional productivity vs intentional time-wasting. I feel that this conversation is one of the most important I've had so far on the podcast. As my guest Susan Hyatt lays bare, diet culture is trapping girls and women in a cycle of suffering. (And I know from my work as a health coach that men are affected in exactly the same way). It horrifies me that children are being caught in this toxic culture and led down the route to eating disorders. Susan shares how she first started dieting at the age of 11, and how yo-yo dieting affected her life for decades. We talk about the self-loathing that diet culture leads to; the wasted effort/energy/headspace devoted to counting calories; and how to develop a positive relationship with food and with yourself. Susan Hyatt has 15 years' experience as a Master Certified Life and Business Coach. She wrote the bestselling book BARE that has inspired women all over the world to stop shrinking their bodies and start expanding their lives. She delivered a speech to a sold-out audience at the country's largest TEDx conference about why women need to stop obsessing about their weight. I can recall many situations in past relationships, at work, or in family dynamics where I would end up deeply resenting putting in the the extra time when it came to doing the heavy lifting of emotional labor. "I'll clean if you just tell me what to clean!” or all the boyfriends who could not be bothered to pay attention to what I was saying I needed so that I had to spell it out! How about the time my father took me to girl scouts and all the women in the room looked at him like he was a saint for doing something my mother had done a million times. How about at the office when I was expected to answer the door buzzer when we were all in the conference room in a meeting of piers? I mean, the examples go on and on and on and on… I loved this riveting conversation with Susan Hyatt and I know you'll love her energy. We were both practically buzzing with resonance in all we were sharing together. In this episode we cover some major ground: Where can other women start examining the impact of invisible labor in our own lives? First step- start noticing! Why do we call emotional labor the 3rd shift? What is the overall impact of doing most of the emotional labor on women and how do the symptoms present? Hear about why Susan is so passionate about closing the gaps in gender roles with confidence leisure, wealth and more.

Dr. Deb Butler utilizes a blend of brain science, nutrition, physiology, life coaching and life lessons, teaching REAL weight loss — lasting weight loss — starts from the inside out. Inside your BRAIN. At 50 years old, when she started her latest round of dieting at Weight Watchers (so she could lose the same 30 pounds for the 100th time), she had one big NEW problem... the weight wasn’t coming off like it used to. She was depressed and not sleeping. Her doctor said, “Welcome to menopause.” She KNEW there had to be a better way. Dr. Deb studied with Martha Beck and then with Brooke Castillo of the Life Coach School and became a certified Life Coach and Master Certified Life and Weight Coach. This not only helped with her weight issues but also her life issues. All of this while going through menopause. She now uses these tools in her own program based on her own experience. She has stated menopause was the catalyst to not only stop the crazy dieting but also to connect her to her passion for working with people’s minds. This was what she was meant to do. Thanks to menopause she no longer diets and she is passionately coaching women through menopause and beyond.
