Stassi and C-O-Lo are deep in their astrology era, tackling TikTok trends and the struggle to have actual hobbies. Stassi's feed has been way too serious lately, so she's switching it up—starting with the viral astrology trend of dressing (and doing makeup) for your rising sign. Is it the key to truly feeling like your authentic self or just another TikTok rabbit hole? As a Capricorn rising (aka boss vibes), Stassi breaks down rising vs. Venus signs and makeup tips for each—like minimal for Capricorns and bold for Sagittarius—to help you feel the most you. Plus, they get into 12th house karma and past-life readings—was Stassi a ruthless queen or king? Then comes the real crisis: do any of us even have hobbies, or are we all just repeating what we see on TikTok? Stassi's committing to a new hobby—flower arranging—and in a surprise twist, Hartford has some very strong perfume opinions. Episode 283: Nat's back with a solo episode to talk all about motivation! Nat always feels like she's been a natural motivator, and she breaks down a few key points that she's learned along the way to help you take initiative in your life. Thinking about her own journey, Nat talks about the importance of following your curiosity instead of chasing abstract dreams. Follow your interests instead and find others who share them! You'll never know where it takes you. Also, the power of a good network can't be underestimated either, so find those like-minded people to promote growth and opportunities for yourself. Lastly, it's never too late to start! The ‘perfect time' for anything is a myth, so start with small steps if you need to and watch that growth happen over time! On this episode, Stassi and C-O-Lo talk about a couple big mysteries they're currently pondering. First, Stassi explains how, since COVID, going out to dinner after dark (aka after Messer goes to bed), and being in very social situations in general still feels a little uncomfortable and awkward. She's not sure if it's because she's a mom, because we were all stuck inside for over a year in 2020-2021, or if it's just our age -- but she went out after dark twice this past week and has a lot of thoughts about it -- including realizing she doesn't know how people are dressing for dinner at trendy restaurants these days and how she went through several outfits to cover up her psoriasis and choose her final look. Stassi and Lo then dissect the conspiracy theory about the "actor bahn" tunnels under Downtown Los Angeles. They playfully poke fun at the Tiktok that sent them into this spiral where a "Starbucks employee" was being interviewed and then they explain all the reasons why there's no way it could be true - but it's still fun to think about! This episode is sponsored by:Caraway - Visit carawayhome.com/STASSI or use code STASSI at checkout and you can take an additional 10% off your next purchase.Ro - Interested in a GLP-1? On this episode, Stassi and COLo are communicating with ghosts -- ok they're not really, but Lo recently introduced Stassi to Tiktoker Megan @solarglowmeditations and they are dissecting questions she's asked spirits through her dowsing rods. When Megan holds the rods, spirits either cross them together for a "yes", pull them apart for a "no", or don't move them for a "no answer". Stassi and Lo start off by asking questions of their own - mermaids, big foot, the Illuminati, aliens, and ghosts are discussed. Then they dive into Megan's questions, starting with the most pressing: "is Tiktok going to actually be banned?" (Spoiler: NO!). Most of Megan's spirit questions involve past/present questions like "can spirits fall in love with humans?", "is there a portal at Skinwalker Ranch?", "did a meteor kill the dinosaurs?", "have aliens given humans advanced technology?", and "is there a human representative for earth at the galactic federation?" (WHAT?!). Stassi and Lo chat about it all! Enjoy this chaotic conversation and follow @solarglowmeditations to watch Megan's videos and submit your questions. Episode 237: This week, Nat's back with a solo episode and sharing her whirlwind adventures over the last two weeks. From attending the Forbes 30 Under 30 summit in Ohio (NBD!) to soaking up some much-needed girl time in Dallas with her best friend Giuli and a quick trip to NYC with her sisters, it was a jam-packed trip! While most of her travels were a success, Nat candidly shares the anxiety that came up while she was away and her recent realization about her struggles with control. She reflects on how her determination and independence have led to the incredible life she has built for herself, but also how they can make it tough for her when things don't go as planned, especially when it comes to dating, work, and even friendships. She then explores the concept of letting go and trusting in a bigger plan, drawing from her own experiences of how life's twists and turns often lead to beautiful outcomes. So, if you're currently struggling with something similar and are feeling lost, this episode is a reminder that sometimes surrendering to the unknown can bring remarkable surprises, even if it's not always easy. The #1 question Kaitlyn gets asked (hands down) is, “How do you manifest?” Well, Chris Corsini is back on the pod today to explain exactly how to manifest, or as he calls it, "co-create with the universe." It's literal magic, so don't let someone with no abracadabra tell you there's no such thing as magic. Chris also pulls tarot cards for the group to see what we're walking into and letting go of for this Fall Equinox. These messages really resonated with KB, so let us know in the reviews if they resonated with you too. There are about 16 months left with Aries in the North Node, so make sure you're taking full advantage of it! Don't know what a node is? That's okay! Kaitlyn didn't either... There's so much to learn about the universe, so buckle up because we're only getting started! March 26, 1981, was just an ordinary day for 33-year-old William Jamison. He went to work at Haug Die Casting Company in Kenilworth, NJ, where he was the vice president of production. After work, Bill went to a restaurant for dinner. Bill's next stop was the Chez Lounge inside Linden Lanes Bowling Alley in Linden, NJ. After spending several hours enjoying drinks and good conversation with friends and acquaintances, Bill left and stopped at the St. George Diner in Linden for a quick late-night meal. He arrived around 1 AM and left about 30 minutes later. That's the last time that anyone ever saw Bill Jamison. It was like he had vanished into the night. Bill's coworkers were immediately concerned when he didn't show up at 8 AM as he usually did. One coworker went over to Bill's apartment, but Bill wasn't there. They decided it was time to contact Bill's sister, Katie. Katie jumped into action. She contacted law enforcement and began calling all the hospitals in the area. More than 41 years later, Bill's family is still looking for answers. What do you do when your birth is going well then very suddenly isn’t? That's the path Cindy's birth took. To give you some peace of mind, Cindy and her son are healthy and well, but they had a very unusual turn of events in their birth journey. In my 20 years working with pregnant folks, this one made my jaw drop. In this episode of Yoga | Birth | Babies I speak with new mother, Cindy Walters. Cindy graciously and openly shares her unique birth story. She also discusses how she has processed her experience and grieved for the birth she didn’t have. This conversation highlights the importance of having the mental flexibility to adjust and surrender expectations and how vital it is to have a supportive team who will unwaveringly rally around you. Failure to progress in labor. Can we all agree this is a horrible name and can impact someone’s view of their ability to give birth! For years, birthing people have been expected to follow “Freidman’s Curve” a standard set by a trial of only 500 participants conducted nearly 50 years ago. Recently, ACOG has set new standards. Unfortunately many hospitals and practices have been slow to put these new standards into practice. In this episode of Yoga|Birth|Babies, I am thrilled to bring back board-certified, practicing OB/GYN and mom of 2, Dr. Nicole Calloway Rankins to discuss the parameters of “Failure to progress” and it’s impact unplanned cesareans. Nicole lays out what is considered “normal labor” and why it’s important not jump to declaring arrested labor before active labor starts at 6cm. She also shares factors that may be influencing longer labors and strategies care providers, nurses, and doulas have to help labor progress.
