Send us a textWhat if your greatest strength becomes your biggest obstacle to transformation? Toney Freeman, once known as "The X-Man" in professional bodybuilding, reveals the powerful journey that took him from bodybuilding glory to spiritual awakening.Toney's story begins with his strict upbringing as a preacher's kid, which established boundaries that would later save him from complete self-destruction. Despite reaching the pinnacles of bodybuilding and entertainment, Tony found himself spiritually empty until a profound physical and spiritual reset changed everything. "I literally doubled my flesh," Toney explains, describing how his body grew from 162 to 323 pounds at his peak, accumulating not just muscle but spiritual baggage along the way.The turning point came through an unexpected crisis – the discovery of a parasite in his kidney that conventional medicine couldn't treat. Toney describes in vivid detail how divine intervention, alongside fasting, prayer, and natural remedies, led to his dramatic healing and transformation. This experience fundamentally changed his relationship with his body, his approach to fitness, and his spiritual practice.Fitness enthusiasts will appreciate Toney's surprising insights about muscle function and exercise technique. Contrary to expectations for someone with his massive physique, Tony reveals he typically used low weights with perfect form, explaining that "heavy is relative" and most people sacrifice effectiveness by lifting too heavy. His approach to training mirrors his spiritual philosophy – focus on function rather than appearance, substance over show.Throughout our conversation, Toney weaves together practical advice on physical health with profound spiritual insights. He offers listeners simple starting points for their own cleansing journey, including fasting protocols and nutrition tips, while emphasizing that true healing must address both physical and spiritual dimensions.Ready to start your own transformation journey? Hope with God... with Andrew and Wendy Palau

It's like this: You feel a little pain in your chest and think, Huh, I should probably get that checked out. Then you go to the doctor, and he tells you, You've gotta eat better, you've gotta exercise, get more rest… or else. And you ask, Well, when exactly will something bad happen if I don't do all these things? Now, what about your spiritual health? Maybe you've felt something stirring in your heart—a whisper, maybe, saying, What about God? Find out about Him. But you push it aside. Life gets busy, and you think, A_h, I'll just deal with that later._ God's holy book, the Bible, says, People can never predict when hard times come. Like fish in a net or birds in a trap, people are caught by sudden tragedy. Don't wait. God offers you life. He's calling you to turn from the things that are destroying you and run into His arms. Always remember, there is hope with God. Scripture Reference: Ephesians 9:12 radio.hopewithgod.com

Summary   Addiction isn't about substances—it's about spiritual disconnection. In this compelling episode of Higher Density Living, Hamza Najam of Breathe Sober unpacks the deeper, energetic roots of addiction and how breathwork creates a pathway back to purpose. Listeners will uncover practical tools for healing and awakening. Tune in to reconnect with your divine self.   Overview   What if you're not an addict, but simply spiritually starving? Jason Rigby and guest Hamza Najam dive deep into the misunderstood nature of addiction—not as a moral failing, but a misalignment of energy and consciousness. Drawing from both science and spirituality, Hamza explains how trauma becomes trapped in our lower chakras and keeps us tethered to past pain, perpetuating cycles of numbing and escapism.   This episode unpacks the neuroscience behind addiction, the role of the heart-brain connection, and the transformative power of breathwork. Listeners will hear how breath becomes the bridge to the higher self, dissolving stored trauma and reconnecting the body to divine frequency. Through gratitude, visualization, and spiritual discipline, Hamza reveals how every soul can reclaim worth and rise above patterns of unworthiness and fear. This is a call to wake up, turn inward, and remember who you really are.   Timestamps [01:00] – Addiction is Spiritual Starvation: Addiction stems from disconnection, not weakness. What do a car inspection, an Apple Watch, and a report card have in common? They all provide an evaluation. Car inspections check for safety and function, Apple Watches track fitness and health, and report cards show academic progress. Evaluations like these matter—but what about evaluating our spiritual health? Earlier this year, nearly 400 of us completed a Spiritual Health Survey. Starting this Sunday, we'll begin walking through what we learned—about ourselves and about our church. And we'll do it with the same posture David expressed in Psalm 139: “Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”

Uncommon Sense with Ginny Robinson

Pride Month is evil, and we must call it what it is. In this episode, we're discussing the spiritual implications of Pride Month, asking hard questions about what it represents—and how believers should respond. We're drawing the connection between pride, identity, and rebellion against God's design for human flourishing. Many Christians feel spiritually drained during this month, and we should. I'm challenging my listeners to love the LGBTQ+ community not with silence or compromise (and certainly not with support) but with truth—the truth that God offers forgiveness, transformation, and eternal life to all who repent and follow Christ. We must hate sin while praying for our enemies. Our culture desperately needs more holiness, conviction, and compassion rooted in the gospel, which is telling those around us the truth.—https://www.thebrandsunday.com/products/the-bible-study-physical?srsltid=AfmBOoqBR_MWE2-fkYXYHCn80nZtEct4ixmRGrXZSrgIn5HP_tBc9Mcy

Recent research from Lifeway tells us that “the single greatest influence over spiritual health is regular Bible reading while growing up. Plainly put, the parents of young adults indicate that regular Bible reading as children yields the greatest influence over spiritual health.” Any of us who are Bible readers know this to be personally true, as the Holy Spirit works to change us, conforming us to the image of Christ as we read God's Word. And what could serve as a better example to our children than our time spent reading and studying the Bible, along with the time we spend reading the Bible together as a family. As an adult, I realize now that my greatest and most treasured memories are not those of family vacations or other family activities. Yes, those are great memories, but they don't hold the same value as those memories of habits and times that shaped my faith and who I am today. I'm grateful to my parents for their example as Bible readers who took God's Word seriously.

Romantic relationships are sacred, powerful, and life-giving. But I don't have to tell you how difficult it is to love and let yourself be loved.Marriage and family therapist Dr. Terry Hargrave has been helping couples in crisis restore broken relationships for decades, teaching them how to get unstuck, improve communication, and move beyond destructive coping mechanisms—to find reciprocity, self-affirming confidence, emotional regulation, and a joyful, lasting love.In a world marked by loneliness, disconnection, and emotional dysregulation, Hargrave offers powerful insights on the human need for identity, safety, and belonging—and how we can heal the wounds that keep us stuck. Drawing on decades of therapeutic experience and deep personal reflection, Hargrave explains how coping mechanisms like blame, shame, control, and escape can damage relationships—and how the peace cycle of nurture, self-valuing, balanced give-and-take, and connection can restore wholeness. He discusses his unique approach to the healing and restorative power of relationships, which lifts us up to our potential, encouraging us toward a nurturing, self-valuing, non-controlling reciprocity, and true connection. In this conversation with Terry Hargrave, we discuss:How to turn around a relationship in crisis and get off the emotional rollercoasterHow to build security and trust in order to improve or repair a marriage or long-term relationshipCoping mechanisms of blame, shame, control, and escapePractical steps to learn emotional self-regulationWhat to do when only one partner is working on a relationshipThe role of the brain and neuroplasticity in relational repairAnd the spiritual underpinnings of Terry's approach to restoration therapyEpisode Highlights"It don't mean a thing if you ain't got that swing—until you claim your belovedness for yourself, nothing will change.""Relationships are a mirror—we discover who we are through how others see us.""Blame, shame, control, and escape—nothing good comes from these coping mechanisms.""Understanding doesn't produce change. Your relationship can change. But it takes a daily practice of hard work to create lasting change. And though you might fail, there is hope that you can begin again. Our coping mechanisms are not superpowers. They hurt us and the people we love.Understanding is not enough. Action and behavior has to follow for change to occur.[Any others?] It takes two to tango, but that doesn't get you off the hook from doing the work on yourself. And finally, a thriving relationship creates joy all around it, within a family, in a community, and it shows how personal relationships can change society.About Terry HargraveDr. Terry Hargrave. Guy's Guy Radio with Robert Manni

Johann Ilgenfritz's life changed in 2011 when he had a heart attack and six months later was diagnosed with cancer. After unsuccessful Radio Therapy he researched for a cure, soon realizing that that there was no central point for reliable online health information. He decided to create a platform and launched UK Health Radio, while still fighting cancer. After overcoming cancer through nutritional and lifestyle changes, he earned the title "The Curator of Health Expertise" from the press. His guiding principle is simple: "Good health is a choice." Initially, he saw cancer as the root of his illness but later realized it was merely a symptom of an already unwell body. He understood that by addressing the underlying cause, he could transform the outcome. With this vision, UK Health Radio (https://ukhealthradio.com/) has embraced a clear mission: to inspire and empower people to take responsibility for their own health. This does not mean taking your health into your own hands, but to be part of the process of attaining and/or keeping your health freedom. It is all about being informed, being empowered, taking action and being healthy! UK Health Radio delivers information through 41 shows airing 24/7, reaching over 1.5 million very dedicated listeners and is now also available on 11 podcast platforms worldwide. In February of 2024, Johann created The Alkaline Collective Mastermind (https://alkaline-collective.com/), a dedicated online community for those battling cancer, aiming to prevent it, or striving to stop it's recurrence. Designed for individuals who are committed to hold themselves accountable, and seek a comprehensive toolbox of resources.
