Do you ever feel like you're carrying years of disappointment, shame, or questions about whether God hears you? Maybe you've prayed for healing, longed for comfort, or simply wondered if you're worth His attention. In this episode, Erin Rae Peace joins us to unpack the story of the woman with the issue of blood in Mark 5 — the only place in Scripture where Jesus publicly calls a woman “daughter.” Together, we'll explore what this tender encounter reveals about how deeply Jesus values women, the hope He offers when shame feels louder than the Truth, and why His embrace is closer than we think. You'll learn:The difference between hiding in fear and being lovingly pursued by God.How to replace assumptions about God's disappointment with confidence in His love for you. What it means to be seen, known, and embraced by Jesus. Why faith, even when fragile, can open the door to healing and freedom.Partner With Us: When life feels overwhelming, especially when you're trying to provide for yourself or your family, it can seem like you're in it alone … But it doesn't have to be. Two years ago, the world watched in horror as Hamas terrorists stormed across the Gaza border and committed atrocities that changed Israel—and the world—forever. Families massacred in their homes. Children kidnapped. Over 1,200 innocent lives taken.Today, on the anniversary of October 7th, 2023, I talk with my friend Daniel Cohen: husband, father, journalist, and bold believer living on the ground in Israel as this war rages. Together we discuss life in a nation still grappling with the aftermath of October 7, the spiritual battle behind the headlines, and the hope that keeps Daniel and his family anchored in faith. We also talk candidly about the proposed peace plan led by President Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu—20 points laid out with the hope of ending this war. But Daniel reminds us: peace requires a willing partner. And Hamas, a terrorist organization whose charter calls for the destruction of Israel, has repeatedly rejected diplomacy.Even as Israel faces war, they continue to provide humanitarian aid—over 2 million tons have been trucked into Gaza. And yet, the world accuses Israel of genocide. We debunk those dangerous lies and shed light on the spiritual war being waged far beyond politics. This isn't just about borders—it's about good and evil. Truth and deception. Light and darkness.

Join Dave and Bethlie discuss as they discuss part 2 of thei 4th book in this series. Solving Marriage Problems by Jay E. Adams. Part 2 Chapter 5 - More Unbiblical concepts about marriage One's priorities must change radically with marriage. Marriage is a commitment to become a new person. Chapter 6 deals with handling Stubborn Habits that wreck a marriage A habit is dislodged only by crowding it out with its biblical alternative. No change commanded by God is unrealistic for those who know Christ as their Savior and are willing to do things His way. Chapter 7 deals with communication Communication is essential for developing and maintaining the deep intimacy that God designed for the marriage relationship. The Christian walk (subject of Ephesians 4-6) is not a solitary walk. Harmony in walk requires harmony in talk. Mishandled anger is one of he biggest hindrances to communication Clamming up Blowing up Truth may hurt, but in the long run it will not hurt like a lie And truth can be told to another, if it is relevant and spoken in the right manner Chapter 10 The parent-child relationship is temporary: God says it must be broken. The husband wife relationship is permanent.

Where do we find absolute truth? We find truth in the Bible. What God says is true, and it is true absolutely. There is no wavering in God's truth. Truth does not change according to polling data or by decisions handed down by Congress or the Supreme Court. Why? It is God's truth. Truth is what God says.Main Points:1. We don't usually think of a belt as a piece of armor, but the belt was important because the breastplate was tied into it. The belt even held the sword and the helmet when they were not in use. It was the first piece of armor that was installed.2. The Apostle Paul gives us this image: we should tie up all the loose things in our lives with the belt of God's truth. If we are going to stand when attacked, we must have a firm grip on spiritual truth.3. Studies conducted by the Barna organization showed that only 22% of Americans believe in absolute truth. It is no wonder so many people lose more spiritual battles than they win. It's no wonder they get tripped up in Satan's schemes.Today's Scripture Verses:Ephesians 6:14 - “Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist.”John 18:37b-38 - "Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.” “What is truth?” retorted Pilate. John 8:32 - “you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”Quick Links:Donate to support this podcastLeave a review on Apple PodcastsGet a copy of The 5 Minute Discipleship JournalConnect on SocialJoin The 5 Minute Discipleship Facebook Group

I was recently a guest on Suzi Dafnis' HerBusiness podcast, and we had an amazing conversation about the challenges women entrepreneurs face.I share why it's so important to prioritize yourself. As business owners, we're often pouring from an empty cup.The solution? Start with a daily practice that tells yourself, “Me first, then everyone else.”I explain how doing so not only boosts your well-being but also improves what you give to your business and relationships. We also talk about the challenges when one partner grows in business and the other doesn't. It's important to communicate and support each other through it.Relationships need growth, and so do businesses. They're both powerful teachers in our lives, but we have to do the work to keep both thriving.Learn more about Suzi and the HerBusiness Network by following https://www.instagram.com/herbusiness/Struggling to decide whether to stay or go in your marriage and you're serious about finding that answer? Welcome back to the Motion Church Podcast. Today, we step into a brand-new series — “Scary Things Jesus Said.” Because sometimes… what He said wasn't soft. It wasn't safe. It was sharp. Real. Confronting. See, we've grown comfortable with a Jesus who makes us feel good, who wraps us in grace and warmth and mercy. But what about the Jesus who speaks hard truth? The one who loves us enough to challenge us— to tell us the things we don't want to hear, but need to. In this opening week, we remember that Jesus was not divided— He was full of grace and truth. Grace that saves us. Truth that shapes us. Both flowing from the same heart of a Father who dared to plunder heaven for us. So lean in. Let your heart be open, your spirit be ready. Because the words of Jesus might sound scary… but they just might set you free.
Hey there friends and weirdos! This week Jules joins the Weird Crew to revisit a topic from the early days of It Gets Weird: Hollow Earth. Specifically, we learn about the Agarthans, the race of super-tall humanoids who live on the continent in the center of the hollow earth. We also learn about Hollow Earth disclosure, a relatively recent movement among Hollow Earth true believers. Did you know that Agartha has sent an ambassador to prepare us surface-dwellers for the Truth? We discuss all this and much more!
There have always been calls for the church to de-emphasise doctrine. Sometimes these calls come from those who wish to promote 'unity' at any cost—enter the ecumenical movement. Sometimes they come from those who feel that the truths of the faith are encumbrances or 'stumbling blocks' to those who just want a simple faith. This week's episode shows why such calls are so misguided. There can be no true Christian ministry without a setting forth of what B. B. Warfield called 'the great Christian verities'. The great need of the church, in every age, is to treasure, set forth, and 'to contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints'. (Jude 3). From May 2, 2023: Generative AI products have been tearing up the headlines recently. Among the many issues these products raise is whether or not their outputs are protected by Section 230, the foundational statute that shields websites from liability for third-party content. On this episode of Arbiters of Truth, Lawfare's occasional series on the information ecosystem, Lawfare Senior Editor Quinta Jurecic and Matt Perault, Director of the Center on Technology and Policy at UNC-Chapel Hill, talked through this question with Senator Ron Wyden and Chris Cox, formerly a U.S. congressman and SEC chairman. Cox and Wyden drafted Section 230 together in 1996—and they're skeptical that its protections apply to generative AI. Listen in as the two discuss such topics as how to start evangelistic conversations, how to balance self-critique with self-forgetfulness, the use of humor in preaching, and more.
In this third edition of the Truth Warrior Roundtable, we sit down with David Whitehead and Matt Presti to tackle one of the most turbulent moments in recent memory — the assassination of Charlie Kirk and the shockwaves it sent through the “truth” community. We break down the reactions on both the left and the right, the flood of conspiracy claims surrounding the event, and how Israel once again became a central point of debate in the aftermath. This conversation goes beyond headlines to address the deeper war on consciousness itself — why people struggle to hold uncertainty, the consequences of irresponsible speech, the role of faith and resilience in times of tragedy, and how to stay grounded in evidence and individualism rather than clickbait and emotional manipulation.Time Stamps(00:00) Episode Teaser(00:36) Opening Conversation(03:25) Guest Introductions(09:12) Discussion on Current Events and Truth Seeking(11:14) Reactions to Charlie Kirk's Assassination(17:19) Conspiracy Theories and Media Influence(42:00) Candace Owens(47:35) The Importance of Reason and Truth-Seeking(50:02) The Role of Influencers and Propaganda(52:52) The Complexity of Middle Eastern Politics(56:21) The Roots of Antisemitism and Historical Context(01:02:36) Judaism, Christianity, and Islam: Philosophical Differences(01:11:42) The Talmud Misconceptions(01:15:27) The Dangers of Collective Blame(01:30:50) The Pursuit of Truth vs. Being Right(01:32:07) The State of America and Government Actions(01:34:58) The Influence of Communism and Historical Parallels(01:36:40) Metaphysics vs. Physical Solutions(01:39:07) The Role of Religion in Society(01:42:39) Concerns About Christian Revival and Theocracy(01:51:12) The Power of the Individual vs. The Collective(01:56:47) Closing Thoughts on Individuality and FreedomGuest Linkshttps://www.dwtruthwarrior.com/ https://dwtruthwarrior.substack.com/ https://mattpresti.substack.com/ https://www.mattpresti.com/ Connect with UsJoin our membership Friends of the TruthSubscribe to Here for the Truth FridaysWatch Joel's Presentation: “Myths to Awaken the Soul”Take the Real AF Test NowDiscover Your Truth Seeker ArchetypeWatch all our episodesConnect with us on TelegramAccess all our links

This is Week 5 of our series Circles, where we're learning how God's Word guides us in strengthening the relational circles in our lives. This series isn't just about building better relationships—it's about divine realignments. God is repositioning some of us for greater impact and deeper joy, helping us step into His chosen connections that will change our life's course.Last week, we explored our inner circle and our relationship with God—the foundation of everything. Today, we dive into the outer circle—the people outside our immediate circle, those who feel different or even uncomfortable to us. These are our neighbors, co-workers, people at the store, even those we might ignore or block on social media. The question is: how do we relate to them? Our key verse is Colossians 4:5-6:"Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone."Why do outsiders matter?Because they matter to God. They are loved by Him, and many are in our lives for a reason. Just like the early Christians in Colossae—who faced hostility, rejection, and persecution—they refused to retreat or water down their faith. Instead, they made a difference by living intentionally and boldly. In a culture filled with division and deception, they stood firm, refusing to compromise. They knew Christ and carried His presence into the outside world, fulfilling the Great Commission: "Go and preach the Gospel to all nations." Their lives weren't just about getting by—they were about making an impact. Our faith was never meant to be hidden. Remember, light doesn't need permission to shine—darkness cannot overcome it. The resistance you encounter may be a sign that you're on the right track.Loving the outsiders means being wise in our manner, our moment, and our message:Wisdom in our manner:Mind your words — be gracious, kind, and respectful. Jesus said, "Let your words always be full of grace and seasoned with salt." Our words should preserve, heal, and attract others to Christ, not offend or push away. We're called to be witty, engaging, and loving—never abrasive or rude.Wisdom in our moment:Seize divine appointments. Be proactive in noticing opportunities God puts in your path. Whether it's a new neighbor, a co-worker, or a cashier at the store—these moments are orchestrated by God for meaningful connections. Be sensitive to the Holy Spirit's lead and respond in faith.Wisdom in our message:Always be ready to share the hope you have. Your story, your church, your faith—these can be powerful bridges. Share the Gospel confidently, using words that are honest, compassionate, and truthful. Remember, our goal is to win hearts, not arguments.Love and truth go hand in hand. Grace without truth is meaningless. Truth without grace is harsh. Together, they bring healing and transformation.Ask yourself:Are my actions and words drawing people closer to Jesus, or pushing them away?Be intentional. Be wise. Make the most of every divine opportunity.Because, ultimately, guiding others to Christ is the heartbeat of our faith. Let's step out boldly, shining His light into the outer circle with wisdom, love, and grace. Are you ready?
Parsha "Ha'azinu" (Deuteronomy (chapter 32) is the second-to-last reading in the Torah, and the life of Moses. It is, specifically, the second "Song of Moses," that he sings, as a "witness against" them, and us, immediately prior to his death. It's also a warning that hits as close to home now as it ever has. The Erev Shabbat reading begins there: https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/SSM-10-3-25-Ha-azinu-teaching-podcast-xx.mp3 This Sabbath Day midrash comes just after the 'most holy' day of the year, Yom Kippur, and right before the final, climactic week of the Fall Feasts, the time of Sukkot, aka the Feast of Tabernacles, or booths, or even 'mangers.' Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa notes that the confluence of this reading, and the Song of Moses, at this time at the heart of the Fall Feasts should suggest two major admonitions from Scripture: "Know the times and the seasons," and that, furthermore, "NOW is the time!" Sukkot is almost certainly the time when the Messiah, Yahushuah, was actually born. But how many of us have heard, "I don't care - I love Xmas anyway," and similar excuses for accepting what we "know or should know" is a lie. Is this the year to stand on Truth? We also know, or should, that the word "jesus" never even existed until about 16 centuries as the Messiah walked the earth after that birth. No one EVER, not once, called Him by that name. And it thus cannot be (Acts 4) the "only name" by which we can be saved. Does that matter? Most of us have again heard, "I don't care," or "what difference does it really make?" So, if His birthday doesn't really matter, nor does His real Name, what about His Doctrine? Did He "do away with the law," or is that - as Mark strongly suggests - perhaps the Biggest Lie in all of human history? Does His Doctrine matter? Did He change it? Did He really change His Instruction about His moedim [appointed times], His Sabbaths, food, money, marriage - and just about anything else men decided they didn't like from His Word? Ha'azinu: When Does it Finally START to Matter? https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/WT-CooH-10-4-25-Ha-azinu-WHEN-Does-it-Start-to-Matter-podcast-xx-1.mp3 The combined two-part reading and Sabbath midrash:

In this episode of Arise + Abide, Sally and Curtis reflect on the final song of ascent, Psalm 134. As pilgrims arrive in Jerusalem, they call on those serving in the temple—especially those keeping the night watch—to lift their hands and praise the Lord. Together, they explore the beauty of worship that involves not just our voices but our whole selves, and how both travelers and temple servants encourage one another in unity. The discussion highlights the challenges of serving in unseen or difficult circumstances, the reminder that God always sees and knows, and the promise of blessing from the Lord who made heaven and earth.

Learning to See as Christ Sees: Phronema, Sacrament, and the Healing of the Whole PersonWhen friends tear open a roof to lower a paralytic, Jesus forgives because of their faith—and the room's understanding of God, sin, and healing is turned inside out (Mark 2). What if the Christian life is, at its core, learning to see as Christ sees?In this conversation, Deacon Anthony (St. Anthony the Great Orthodox Church, San Diego) joins us to unpack the Orthodox phronema—the Church's way of seeing and living—which is not just ideas on a page but a formation of the heart through Scripture, sacrament, repentance, and community. What we exploreWhat is “phronema”? More than a “mindset,” it's a ecclesial way of perceiving: how Christians notice, judge, and love. It's shaped by the Church's worship, her Scriptures in their liturgical home, and a life together that actually heals.Body and soul—no split life: Christianity is incarnational. God meets us through tangible signs—mud on eyes (John 9), bread and wine, water and oil—so grace reaches the whole person.Confession as diagnosis, not humiliation: We don't “check a box” for breaking rules; we name the illness so the Great Physician can heal its root. The priest's role is merciful and confidential; accountability is real, not shaming.Repentance (metanoia): A change of mind and course—cleansing the inside of the cup—that frees us from self-deception and pride. Orthodoxy invites us to tell the truth about ourselves and to begin again. The Eucharist as mystery (not mere symbol): Communion is an encounter with the living Christ that binds wounded people into one Body—the Church as a hospital for the soul. From the apostles to the saints: How the same mind of Christ echoes across centuries and cultures—Saints Macarius, Paisios, and modern elders—so different in personality, yet recognizably one in humility, mercy, and love.Heaven and hell begin now: Entitlement, isolation, and self-invention taste like hell—a life disconnected from reality. Humility, communion, and thanksgiving taste like heaven—alignment with the Truth who is Christ.Countering today's scripts: Why “live for today” and “my truth” leave us lonely and unstable—and how the Church's life offers a steadier identity rooted in Christ and community.Practical takeawaysAccountability with love: spiritual fathers, godparents, spouses, and friends who won't let us settle for less than the truth.Guarding your tongue: how community and confession help us master reactions before they harm.Role models that last: why our children need saints more than celebrities—and how holy lives reawaken desire for God.Unity without centralization: the Church's phronema holds people together even across languages and jurisdictions because Christ is the center.A different question: not “What's the least I must do?” but “How can I give more of myself to the One who gave all?”Questions about Orthodoxy? Wesley Wright Lighthouse Bible Church Sunday, October 4, 2025 Title: Family matters Ezr 2:1-70 Chapter 2 details the families who returned to Israel after the 70 years of captivity in Babylon. We discussed last week the precise nature of prophecies including what Cyrus would do. Israelites kept excellent records of families, so it was clear who came from where. We won't read that list a second time in full! Consider how Ezra chapter 2 refers to the lineage of Christ and notes the contributions to the second temple. Zerubbabel (Ezra 2:2) is especially important because Jesus Christ's line comes through him. 1Ch 3:17-24 Jer 22:24-30 All of Jeconiah's sons died without ruling in Judah, which is... for full notes: http://www.lbible.org/index.php?proc=msg&sf=vw&tid=1755
