Parashat Beshalah tells the famous story of Keri'at Yam Suf – the miraculous splitting of the sea. The Egyptians pursued Beneh Yisrael after they left Egypt, trapping them against the sea. G-d had the waters of the sea split, forming two walls on either side of the sea floor, allowing Beneh Yisrael to safely cross. When the Egyptians then ran after them into the sea, the water fell onto them, drowning the Egyptian warriors, their horsemen and their chariots. We find in the Midrash an astounding statement that underscores the centrality of this miracle in Jewish life. The Midrash teaches that the Jewish People are known as "Ibrim" ("Hebrews") to allude to the fact that "Abar Yam" – our nation "crossed the sea." This event is not simply something that our ancestors experienced, an extraordinary chapter in our history, but part of the very definition of our nation. Why? The answer can be understood in light of an insight by the Maharal of Prague (Rav Yehuda Loew, 1512-1609) regarding the name of Moshe Rabbenu. The Rabbis teach that Moshe had seven different names, each of which alludes to a different element of his character or his role as our leader and prophet. The name that we commonly use, of course, is "Moshe" – the name given to him by Pharaoh's daughter, commemorating that "Min Ha'mayim Mishitihu" – she "drew him from the water" (Shemot 2:10). The Maharal raises the question of why this name was chosen as the name with which we refer to Moshe. Of all of Moshe's names, why is this considered the most significant? The Maharal answers by examining the symbolism of water. Unlike solids, he notes, water has no independent shape. It flows naturally, assuming the shape of whichever receptacle is holding it at the present moment. We human beings, the Maharal writes, are expected to be the polar opposite of water. We are not to "go with the flow," blindly and randomly following our natural instincts and impulses. Instead, we are to consciously create a "shape" and "form" to our lives. We are to exercise discipline and self-restraint, molding for ourselves a life of meaning and purposefulness in the service of Hashem. Fittingly, the Mahara explains, Moshe Rabbenu – the greatest human being who ever lived – is named "Moshe," which means "drawn from the water." Moshe embodied the notion of going out of the water, creating a life of spirituality rather than "flowing" naturally like animals, which follow their instincts without exercising any restraint. This is also the symbolism of the miracle of Keri'at Yam Suf. The waters of the sea suddenly went against their natural flow, forming two walls on either side of Beneh Yisrael. This was not just a miracle performed for the purpose of rescuing Beneh Yisrael – it was also a timeless lesson about how we are expected to live our lives. We are to follow the example of the waters of the Yam Suf – creating a proper "shape" of our lives, lives of spiritual meaning, rather than just flowing naturally. This also explains the famous comment of the Midrash that the sea split when it saw Yosef's coffin, which Moshe brought with him out of Egypt. Yosef embodies the value of discipline and self-restraint, having resisted the advances of Potifar's wife as a seventeen-year-old slave in Egypt. He went against his natural instincts and impulses for the sake of spirituality. Rather than "go with the flow," following his instincts and impulses, he created for his life a "shape" of spiritual greatness. We are called "Ibrim" because "Abar Yam" – we have been shown the importance of living with discipline and self-restraint, conscientiously, following our religious principles and values rather than allow ourselves to be led and guided by our natural instincts and drives.

Today's pasuk is the first of a new unit in the list from the Maharal called Pesukeh Chisayon/refuge. We finished the pesukei bitachon and we are now onto those that mention the word chisayon/refuge. Hashem is my Rock and my fortress, and my rescuer, my God, my rock in whom I take shelter. My shield, and the horn of my salvation; my stronghold. These are all words describing tremendous strength and fortitude. They aren't necessarily describing that he clearly relies on Hashem, but that Hashem is a great protection for him. We invoke this pasuk every morning in our prayers where we say in Shaharit, in the Beracha of Yotzer , Eloheh Avraham /God of the world, in Your great mercy… and we go on to describe God, Adon Uzenu/the God of our strength, Sur/the rock Misgabenu/of our fortress , Magen Yishenu/the shield of our salvation . Misgav BAdenu/the One who is our fortress in protection , and the Avudarham says that this Tefila is based on this pasuk of David Hamelech. So, every day we mention how God has this special power over us. David Hamelech uses many terms, but we're just going focus on one of them, which is Suri . God is my rock . Sali , also means My rock. What is this about the rock that David Hamelech is mentioning? Simply, it's a metaphor. God is like a rock that He saved me . But Rashi tells us he's referring to a specific incident in the story in Shemuel א ,perek 23. David Hamelech was hiding behind a mountain and the people of Shaul were surrounding the mountain, getting closer and closer to him. He did not know where to go. Then, just at that moment, An angel came to Shaul . He looked like a human but he was actually an angel from God, say the commentaries, who said, ‘ Mahara/go fast. You have to move now. It's not time for a local dispute between you and David. It's not time for an internal issue. We have a massive Pelishtim attack at the border. You have to refocus your army.' When Shaul heard that, he left, at the last moment and he went to the Pelishtim. They called that rock, Selah Hamachlekot/the Rock of the Argument. The Radak, quoting from the Targum, explains that there was an argument between Shaul and his men. They were passionate; they were so close to getting David. But Shaul, the king, said, “ No, our responsibility is to the country.” They therefore left, and David Hamelech was saved. That's why David Hamelech said, “ God is my Selah/my rock, referring to the rock where they had this argument. How is this relevant to us? It's extremely important. If David Hamelech did not tell us this story, we would never have known about how this angel got involved in saving him. God is our protection . The word מחסי Machsi , Rashi says, we translate as refuge . The Chet and Chaf are interchangeable. It also means אכסה Echseh/ He's my cover. Kisoy is a cover . God covers me. He covers me up when I, or things about me, shouldn't be seen. God covers up for me. Something like this happened to someone I know recently. A man told me he was driving on the Verrazano Bridge one night, coming back from Deal, admittedly speeding. (He shouldn't speed. It was a mistake. He wasn't paying attention. It was late at night and the roads were open and he was going way over the speed limit. We're not condoning his actions.) The officer pulled him over and took his license. The man said, “ Hashem, I can't afford a ticket now. I can't afford points. En Od Milevado. I'll never do it again. You're in charge. I'm sorry I made a mistake. And Hashem, you can make anything happen.” Normally they take your license and registration for around 10 minutes. But literally seconds later, the cop came back to the car and said, “ You're a lucky man. I just got a call on my radio. There was a shooting (or robbery) not far from here. I have to leave. Don't speed again.” So, Hashem can send that angel. In this case, it wasn't an open angel, but there are situations that we'll never know about. Of course, we try to be honest and do everything right, but they could check anyone's taxes and they'd get in trouble. Who knows if they were looking to audit somebody and then some angel of God came and asked the guy to get a cup of coffee and he went to the next file and skipped your file… we don't know. But we have to understand how Hashem is always protecting us. And that's this pasuk. Hashem Sali/He's my rock, David Hamelech used this to remind himself of the miracle of the rock. These are beautiful, beautiful messages and lessons hiding in these pesukim. יְהֹוָ֤ה ׀ סַ֥לְעִ֥י וּמְצוּדָתִ֗י וּמְפַ֫לְטִ֥י אֵלִ֣י צ֭וּרִי אֶֽחֱסֶה־בּ֑וֹ מָֽגִנִּ֥י וְקֶֽרֶן־יִ֝שְׁעִ֗י מִשְׂגַּבִּֽי׃ Hashem is my Rock and my fortress, and my rescuer, my God, my rock in whom I take shelter. My shield, and the horn of my salvation; my stronghold. The rabbis tell us the best time to remember these is in our prayers. Make a little mark on your siddur. I have a dear friend, who, anytime he hears a nice thought on the siddur, he puts it into his siddur and boosts his kavana . So tomorrow morning, remember- Sur Misgabenu/ God is my Rock , the rock of my protection. Magen Yishenu/ He's my shield. By remembering these concepts, we will earn Hashem's special protection.
Last week, Te Hiringa Mahara - the Mental Health and Wellbeing Commission - released data on the state of New Zealand youth mental health. It found that while most rangatahi are doing well, there is a steady decline in youth wellbeing in comparison to older age groups more recently, with 1 in 5 young people experiencing higher rates of psychological distress. Wire host Sofia Roger Williams spoke to Dr Ella Cullen, the Director of Wellbeing System Leadership at Te Hiringa Mahara, about this data, the factors contributing to this, and how to better support rangatahi.

This release also solves a native QoQ bug. https://dev.lucee.org/t/lucee-stable-release-5-4-2-17/12828 Lucee 5.4.1.8 Stable Release notes: https://dev.lucee.org/t/lucee-5-4-1-8-stable-release/12778 Lucee ZERO, a lighter Lucee Light (Lamba Friendly) Lucee Zero is a new smaller Lucee distribution without the admin or docs bundled. This reduces the jar size by about 2mb and avoids expanding them on install, which makes Lucee initial startup a lot faster, as there is less to deploy. Why an additional distribution?Firstly backwards compat with existing build pipelines, as you can't build a full install by adding just extensions, the admin simply isn't there with Lucee Zero.Secondly Lambas have some size limitations, you only have 50MB, when Lucee deploys, the .lco is extracted into lucee-server/patches and then the lucee-admin.lar and lucee-doc.lar are exracted out into lucee-server/context/context, plus inside the original lucee-zero.jar.So this new distribution saves roughly 6MB of disk space, as there ends up being three copies of these two .lar archives on the filesystem once deployed. When I run the local build for extensions, it's about 6-7s faster (Lucee does deploy slower on windows than linux, so YMMV)https://dev.lucee.org/t/lucee-zero-a-lighter-lucee-light-lamba-friendly/12749 Webinar / Meetups and WorkshopsICYMI - Hawaii ColdFusion Meetup Group - Intro to ColdFusion 2023June 23rd, 2023Adobe ColdFusion 2023 is released today! Packed with cutting-edge features and enhanced performance, this release takes ColdFusion to new heights of innovation. Come see what's new in ColdFusion 2023 with Mark Takata of Adobe.Recording: https://hawaiicoldfusionusergroup.adobeconnect.com/pykivms4zclo/ Hawaii ColdFusion Meetup Group - CF Scheduled Tasks: more than you may know, and shouldSpeaker: Charlie ArehartFriday July 28th, 2023 at 3pm PTIf folks were asked to discuss CF scheduled tasks, I suspect most would feel "there's not much 'to say", but there really is a lot more to working with them simply "setting a given url to run on a given schedule" (did you know it could be a CFC, for instance?).There are both more features than most realize, as well as solutions to common problems people can face when running them, and a lot of myths regarding old limitations that have since been lifted. In this talk, veteran CF troubleshooter Charlie Arehart will address all these and more, starting with a focus on tools and techniques for solving common problems with them, then showing several ways to create them (yes, even more than just cfschedule and the CF Admin UI).He'll then review several features of using tasks that you may have missed—to include distinguishing which few are NOT available in CF Standard. He'll also discuss briefly the underlying quartz open source framework that powers them (and offers still more extensibility), as well as the underlying neo-cron.xml file and tips for protecting that, and he'll even identify ways to control/allow access to managing tasks that may surprise many. He'll conclude with alternatives when the base features don't suit you.https://www.meetup.com/hawaii-coldfusion-meetup-group/events/294711603 Adobe Upcoming EventsWebinar- Road to Fortuna Series: New Administrator Features in Adobe ColdFusion 2023 WEDNESDAY, JULY 26, 202310:00 AM PDTOnline Eventhttps://administrator-features-adobe-coldfusion.meetus.adobeevents.com/ Adobe ColdFusion Workshop WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 9, 20239:00 AM EDTOnline Eventhttps://adobecf-1day-workshop.meetus.adobeevents.com/ Webinar - Road to Fortuna Series: Exploring the New Google Cloud Platform Features FRIDAY, AUGUST 25, 202310:00 AM PDTOnline Eventhttps://google-cloud-platform-adobe-coldfusion.meetus.adobeevents.com/ CFCasts Content Updateshttps://www.cfcasts.comRecent Releases Into the Box 2023 Videos is available for purchase as an EXCLUSIVE PREMIUM package. https://cfcasts.com/series/itb-2023 Subscribers will get access to premium packages after a 6 month exclusive window. But, they are supported in my personal use of Adobe ColdFusion. As such, I wanted to start thinking about ways in which to leverage these operators. One such case is constructing a dynamic collection of arguments and then invoking a method with argumentCollection. I thought that perhaps I could use the spread operator instead. This works when the arguments are array-based; but, it does not work when the arguments are struct-based.https://www.bennadel.com/blog/4489-spread-operator-cannot-replace-struct-based-argumentcollection-in-coldfusion.htm 7/19/23 Security Patch - Adobe ColdFusion Portal - RELEASED- ColdFusion 2023, 2021 and 2018 July 19th, 2023 Security UpdatesWe are pleased to announce that we have released the updates for the following ColdFusion versions:ColdFusion (2023 release) Update 3ColdFusion (2021 release) Update 9ColdFusion (2018 release) Update 19In these updates, we've fixed a few critical security bugs mentioned in the security bulletin, APSB23-47.https://coldfusion.adobe.com/2023/07/released-coldfusion-2023-2021-and-2018-july-19th-2023-security-updates/ 7/17/23 - Blog - Ben Nadel - Adobe ColdFusion Elvis Operator Struggles With Nested Array ReferencesIn Lucee CFML, the Elvis Operator (null coalescing operator) is quite powerful. In fact, it can often replace the Safe Navigation operator when access values on deeply-nested structures. In contrast, the Elvis Operator in Adobe ColdFusion is much more problematic. And, in fact, I just ran into another rough edge in the ACF implementation. It seems that the Elvis operator has trouble with nested array references.https://www.bennadel.com/blog/4488-adobe-coldfusion-elvis-operator-struggles-with-nested-array-references.htm 7/16/23 - Blog - James Moberg - createIsoString() - A ColdFusion User-Defined Function (UDF) to replace dateTimeFormat("iso")Since 1999's release of ColdFusion 4, a built-in dateConvert function has been available to convert local to UTC time and vice-versa. getTimeZoneInfo has also been available to retrieve only the local time zone based on system settings. This has always made it quite easy to manage dates in the application logic because all you need to do is pass the value into the isDate() decision function before you use it. In recent years, the CFQuery tag has added a returnType attribute that allows the database recordset to be returned as either an Array-of-Structs or a Column-based Struct (Lucee CFML only). Unfortunately, when returning the query as an Array, Adobe ColdFusion no longer translates NULL dates into empty-strings.https://www.bennadel.com/blog/4483-adobe-coldfusion-returns-null-dates-as-null-when-using-cfquery-returntype-array.htm CFML JobsSeveral positions available on https://www.getcfmljobs.com/Listing over 83 ColdFusion positions from 54 companies across 39 locations in 5 Countries.7 new jobs listed this monthFull-Time - Front End and ColdFusion Developer at Virginia - United States Posted: Jul 18https://www.getcfmljobs.com/jobs/index.cfm/united-states/Front-End-and-ColdFusion-Developer-at-Virginia/11591 Full-Time - Senior Software Engineer - ColdFusion at Baner, Pune, Mahara.. - India Posted: Jul 15https://www.getcfmljobs.com/jobs/index.cfm/india/Senior-Software-Engineer-ColdFusion-at-Baner-Pune-Maharashtra/11590 Full-Time - Sr. Tech Lead - ColdFusion at Baner, Pune, Maharashtra - India Posted: Jul 15https://www.getcfmljobs.com/jobs/index.cfm/india/Sr-Tech-Lead-ColdFusion-at-Baner-Pune-Maharashtra/11589 Full-Time - ColdFusion Developer at Remote - United States Posted: Jul 14https://www.getcfmljobs.com/jobs/index.cfm/united-states/ColdFusion-Developer-at-Remote/11588 Full-Time - Remote Coldfusion Developer – 3 – 6 Month Contract at Nottin.. - United Kingdom Posted: Jul 12https://www.getcfmljobs.com/jobs/index.cfm/united-kingdom/Remote-Coldfusion-Developer-3-6-Month-Contract-at-Nottingham/11587 Full-Time - Java/ColdFusion Developer (Remote) at Reston, VA - United States Posted: Jul 10https://www.getcfmljobs.com/jobs/index.cfm/united-states/JavaColdFusion-Developer-Remote-at-Reston-VA/11586 Full-Time - Lucee/ColdFusion Developer at United States - United States Posted: Jul 07https://www.getcfmljobs.com/jobs/index.cfm/united-states/LuceeColdFusion-Developer-at-United-States/11585 Other Job LinksThere is a jobs channel in the CFML slack team, and in the Box team slack now tooForgeBox Module of the WeekMegaphone by Eric PetersonA protocol-based library for sending Notifications in ColdBoxhttps://www.forgebox.io/view/megaphone VS Code Hint Tips and Tricks of the WeekPostmanExtension for Visual Studio Code - Streamline API development and testing with the power of Postman, directly in your favorite IDE.https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=Postman.postman-for-vscode Thank you to all of our Patreon SupportersThese individuals are personally supporting our open source initiatives to ensure the great toolings like CommandBox, ForgeBox, ColdBox, ContentBox, TestBox and all the other boxes keep getting the continuous development they need, and funds the cloud infrastructure at our community relies on like ForgeBox for our Package Management with CommandBox. Welcome to Episode 111 of the Think UDL podcast: Digital Ethics in ePortfolios with Kristina Hoeppner and Kevin Kelly. Kristina Hoeppner, M.A., is the project lead for the open source portfolio platform Mahara, working at Catalyst IT in Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington in Aotearoa New Zealand. She traded hemispheres and careers in 2010 and enjoys supporting and working with the New Zealand and worldwide community of educators, learning designers, and education innovators in both formal and informal learning settings to create positive and supportive learning environments. Since 2019, she has been a member of the (Association for Authentic, Experiential, & Evidence-Based Learning) AAEEBL Task Force on Digital Ethics in ePortfolios and, since 2021, a member of the Executive Committee of FLANZ (Flexible Learning Association New Zealand). In September 2022, Kristina started the podcast 'Create. Share. Engage.' in which she interviews members of the portfolio community to share their stories in a contemporary medium, making these stories accessible beyond academic articles and conference presentations. Kevin Kelly, EdD, works with colleges and universities as a consultant to address distance education, educational technology, and organizational challenges. He also teaches online courses in the Department of Equity, Leadership Studies, and Instructional Technologies at San Francisco State University, where he also previously served as the Online Teaching and Learning Manager. Kevin is a member of the AAEEBL Board of Directors and the AAEEBL Task Force on Digital Ethics in ePortfolios. He co-authored with Todd Zakrajsek the 2021 Stylus book, Advancing Online Teaching: Creating Equity-Based Digital Learning Environments which is featured in episode 55 of the Think UDL podcast. In today's podcast my guests explain the ethics of ePortfolios and how they are aligned with UDL principles. It turns out, there is a lot of overlap between the two! Kevin, Kristina, and their colleagues on the task force have done all of the heavy lifting so that you don't have to, and you'll find links to the digital ethics for ePortfolios on the Think UDL web page for this episode.

The Well of Barhout (also nicknamed Well of Hell) is a sink hole in Al-Mahara, Yemen - Clairvoyant/Psychic reading January 2,2022 - Can You Recognise a God? - by Clairvoyant House “Dimitrinka Staikova and daughters Stoyanka and Ivelina Staikova” - from Europe,Bulgaria, Varna Visit our E-book Store , Blogs and Websites: http://clairvoyantDimitrinkaStaikova.weebly.com http://sites.Google.com/site/dimitrinkastaikova http://HottestNewsPredictions.blogspot.com Photo : June 2021. Time of the clairvoyant reading -after the photo There is a side plumb opening , strictly vertical (close to the hole at East). Through the hole goes down an energy with strong and weak current. The object that fell has reached the bottom and continued to move at West. The object is still at West - slightly inclined. It's height doesn't reach the ground, that's why it's not seen. It has four modules (sections) - the one above the other. The first module (the bottom one) and the second one are the biggest. From the middle of the second one begins a transmission . The emission is only from the second module. The falling of the object was with spinning movements, as a whipping top - that's why it reflects the width of a spaceship. It has found and made a hole in the ground. The last four part which is located close to the surface of the Earth - they will try to dig it up and it will be blown up inside. With human intervention begins the raising of the pressure at the vertical ascent of the opening 2 - the generators of the spaceship are active, they are located between module 1 and module 2. They can be turned off from outside with a command and pressure. The people (cavers) that entered the The Well of Barhout are working because of an order. The cavers saw two holes at the end of the bottom and another hole in the wall at East. Through it the hole goes vertical upwards. They are scared of the invisible. In the Well of Barhout (also known in Yemen as “The Well of Hell” there are also living beings and an alien mind and an alien spaceship that transmit signals and it has a connection. When the Sun goes down - there will be a second and a third advent. The Well of Barhout has living guardians. Astronauts who have come out and live among humans. Can You recognise A God ? The Well of Barhout (also known as “the Well of Hell”) in the al-Mahra province in Yemen - “There will a boat lowered inside, I see underground river. Only militaries are researching “ - by Clairvoyant Stoyanka Staikova http://clairvoyantDimitrinkaStaikova.weebly.com I see a strong energy inside , like a battery - the plus attracts from outside, the minus - repels from within. Almost in the middle of the hole I see a source of gases that goes outside. They wanted to earn money from the Well of Barhout , but they saw it's impossible. There is a lot of water down there - I see three lakes on three floors. The researchers of the Well of Hell wanted to put a boat down there - a huge sum of money is given for research. The site of the Well of Barhout has many layers. I see the militaries are interested. They are stopping and forbidding to everyone else to research. The cavers from the expedition year 2021 - they saw a big hole in a rock - as a big door and a corridor in which is flowing the water from the lake - there are two shores - the place is inhabited, but they doesn't see it . I see two homes of creatures which are very wealthy, male gender. They are keeping an energy source which is extremely powerful. The cavers of the Well of Barhout saw human bones of the people who has lost their lives there, many emitting energy minerals, but the main which is interesting for the cavers is to have a boat down there and with it to travel the underground river they saw - with direction from East to West. Money are so far denied to them. Click here to read more : https://hottestnewspredictions.blogspot.com/2023/01/the-well-of-barhout-also-nicknamed-well.html

This week is a great one on Empower, Uplift & Transform with Misty! I'm excited to share Episode 2 with you The Magic of Mindfulness with special guest: Mahara Wayman. Mahara Wayman is the Chief Gratitude Officer and Founder of Mindfulness with Mahara. She is an author, motivational speaker and empowerment coach passionate about helping women find clarity on their purpose and yearnings so they can realign their actions with their goals, dreams and values. Mahara helps them step into joy and peace, so they flourish in their new season through focused conversations, robust self-reflection, and an online group coaching program. Mahara shares she is proof that it's possible to find happiness after a significant transition. She shares how she left her corporate career, and knows firsthand how confusing it is when the role identified with for years is no longer there. After years in her chosen profession, supporting others in transforming their lives, she was suddenly in her new season. She realized then she was missing something and decided to jump-start her new life outside of the identity she had connected with for so long. Mahara was determined to create her dream life, one that spoke to her and filled her cup. She took control of her life and rewrote her story from the inside out. She shares how she used her years of experience, knowledge and powerful techniques to help women find happiness in their retirement and move from the story they have been stuck in to live the story they love. Mahara joined me this week and shared glimpse into her life's work and how she supports women and helps them see how beautiful they are exactly. Mahara also shares the magic of mindfulness and what that means to her. She shares that mindfulness is about acceptance that it's ok to be still. Mahara explains how stillness is this opportunity to tune and an explore all of our senses. Mahara explores with us that if we're pretending who we are then our actions are based on pretending and we continue to draw ourselves further and further away from our true selves. Her wisdom goes even deeper when she talks about the monkey brain and how it keeps playing these recurring messages and how mindfulness is a huge ingredient is slowing it down. It's Radio Newsletter's second episode of the year. We're back with big updates: Little Amal, experiential learning, Stars of the Week, and new at-home challenge -- maths challenges from Mr Mahara. Listen carefully, everyone!
Have you ever really thought lately about the choices that you make in your life? The paths that you choose? Our guest today, Mahara Wayman, is an empowerment coach helping women harness their voices. In the thirteenth episode of Fireside Stories, Mahara will be chatting with us about the surprising gift of choice. At the age of 55, Mahara had the opportunity to choose the tenor for the rest of her life. “Losing my corporate job is the best gift I could have asked for, and in fact, I did ask for it. I manifested this massive nudge towards living my passion.”
When the devotee exclaimed "Rebbe, I'm full of crookedness!" he wasn't expecting to be told to think more about himself. Join Adam and Dovid as they explore instruction by the 19th century Rebbe Maharash* for self-improvement and hash out the differences between self-centering and self-centeredness. As many are aware, there's a partisan battle brewing over who will fill the seat left by the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. The fight will affect issues like gun control, abortion and religious liberty, which are important to the political right, but it could also damage the court's image and reputation. What will come next? "Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has returned from his official visits to Suriname, Guyana, Colombia and Brazil, where he discussed the possibilities of regime change in Venezuela," MintPress News reported Monday. He has now announced "a $348 million package he said was a 'response to the ongoing humanitarian crisis caused by the corrupt and illegitimate Maduro regime,' and signaled the US' 'commitment to the Venezuelan people,'" the outlet noted. What are we to make of all of this? A September 18 piece by Ahmed Abdulkareem in MintPress News is entitled "2,000 Days Since It Began, the War in Yemen Is Poised To Turn Even More Deadly." He writes, "Realistically, the war has become little more than a pretext to control Yemen's strategic sites and natural wealth. Saudi Arabia and the UAE now occupy entire southern provinces from al-Mahara to the Bab al-Mandab Strait. Somehow, though, they have not yet allowed [former President Abdrabbuh Mansur] Hadi and his old guard to return." What can we expect next?Who is Michele Flournoy, and could she be the angel of death for the American empire? There's a great piece in Antiwar.com, published Wednesday and written by Medea Benjamin and Nicolas JS Davies, that asks this question, and we are joined by KJ Noh to discuss it."Russia's foreign intelligence service SVR has exposed some Western countries' involvement in fueling the Alexey Navalny case, with the Nord Stream 2 project being the main target, SVR Director Sergei Naryshkin said in a statement issued by the SVR press bureau on Tuesday," TASS reported. Are the covers really being pulled off here? There's a verbal and rhetorical shootout happening at the UN. "Tensions between the US and China took center stage at the 75th UN General Assembly on Tuesday, and President Trump used his speech to go after Beijing," Antiwar.com reported. "The president blamed China for the coronavirus pandemic and said Beijing 'unleashed' the virus on the world." What can we expect next?"Iranian President Hassan Rouhani delivered a defiant and fiery speech Tuesday to the UN General Assembly as his nation grapples with the Middle East's worst coronavirus outbreak and a weakened economy, but he insisted it is the US that that will surrender to the resilience of Iran," the Associated Press reported Tuesday. It does not seem as though Iran is backing down. What has been the response to this speech worldwide?"Venezuela has called for the world to fight 'hegemony' and 'imperialist ideas,' while Cuba called the United States 'the greatest danger to international peace and security' during the United Nations General Assembly's (UNGA) virtual summit to mark 75 years of the global body," Al Jazeera reported Tuesday. Are other countries agreeing?Guests:Marjorie Cohn - Professor of law at the Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, California, and a former president of the National Lawyers GuildTeri Mattson - Latin America coordinator for Code PinkElisabeth Myers - Lawyer, former editor-in-chief of Inside Arabia and democracy lead for Democrats AbroadNicolas JS Davies - Peace activist and author of "Blood on Our Hands: The American Invasion and Destruction of Iraq"Mark Sleboda - Moscow-based international relations and security analystKJ Noh - Peace activist, writer and teacherDr. Gerald Horne - Professor of history at the University of Houston, author, historian and researcherCaleb Maupin - Journalist and political analyst

I, Charlotte Cronquist, met Mahara McKay in Arambol, Goa, India this winter. In three days she created a tantric tribe, from a bunch of unexperienced and brave people. That went in to the tantra energy with all their hearts, body and presence. Three days into the journey I meet Mahara for a talk - meet her, her vulnerability, her love and presence. And feel the presence of Mother India. One of all the teachers I come across on my own tantric journey.
