Esto ha llevado a muchos a preguntarse si después de estas rentabilidades extraordinarias sigue siendo un buen momento para invertir. Am Sonntag war das Hochamt in unserer Pfarrkirche außergewöhnlich gut besucht. Das hatte mehrere Gründe: In den geprägten Zeiten gehen doch mehr Menschen zum Gottesdienst als im normalen Kirchenjahr. Im Gottesdienst wurde an verschiedene kürzlich verstorbene Gemeindemitglieder gedacht und für sie gebetet und somit waren viele Angehörige da. Und der dritte und sehr schöne Grund war die Vorstellung der diesjährigen Erstkommunionkinder, die oft mit Eltern, Geschwistern und "Omma und Oppa", wie man hier sagt, gekommen waren.So ein wenig sind es also Wegmarken, die uns auffordern zum Gottesdienst zu kommen: die Fastenzeit mit ihrer Vorbereitung auf Ostern, der Tod naher Angehöriger und den Trost, den gemeinsames Beten und Gedenken stiftet, und die Vorbereitung auf die Erstkommunion, die Vielen ein guter Grund ist, mit der Familie zusammen in die Kirche zu kommen. Es scheint mir, dass diese drei Gründe gute Hoffnungszeichen in unserem Heiligen Jahr der Hoffnung sind. Vorbereitung auf Ostern und Ernstnehmen der Österlichen Bußzeit, Gedenken der Toten und gegenseitiger Trost und Zuspruch und die Erinnerung an die eigene Erstkommunion und die Hoffnung, dass diese Kinder das Sakrament und seine wunderbare Gabe irgendwann für sich entdecken und im Beispiel der Eltern und der vielen Menschen in der Kirche eine gute Wegmarkierung erleben.Vor uns in der Bank saß eine Familie mit zwei Kindern und das jüngere Mädchen hatte immer wieder Fragen an die Mama. Und diese hat leise und geduldig erklärt und nur manchmal das Kleine gemahnt, leise zu fragen. Und erst kurz nach der Wandlung hat die Kleine das Malheft und die Stifte ausgepackt, weil ihr langweilig war. Aber sie hat sie nicht gebraucht, weil alle Kinder zum Vaterunser nach vorne gerufen wurden und sie mit dem großen Bruder und dem Teddy im Arm zum Altar gegangen ist und dann noch der Gang zum Segen mit Mama und Papa dran war. Und auf dem Rückweg zur Bank hatte ich meine Freude an ihrem Strahlen und dem begeisterten Hopsen.Gottesdienst war auf einmal gar nicht mehr langweilig.

Butterflocke-Goldlocke, der noch kürzlich eine 1A-Kindergartenrede im Pippi-Langstrumpf-Style zum Amtsantritt gehalten hat, beginnt in diesen Tagen mit seinen anderen Freunden aus der Kindertagesstätte die Welt auf links zu drehen. Da leider kein Erwachsener mehr im Raum ist, machen die Lausbuben zwar ordentlich Unsinn - aber es sind nur Kinder. So oder so ähnlich wäre es keine Aufregung wert. Da das Ausmaß jedoch um einiges größer und gefährlicher ist, darf die 194. Folge mit Koch und Fernsehmann nicht einfach darüber hinwegsehen, muss zumindest über einige Knallerthemen dieses Irrsinns diskutieren und den Versuch der Aufarbeitung starten. Wir wären aber nicht bei „Verkocht und Abgedreht“, wenn es im Anschluss dann nicht zügig auch um völlig irrelevante aber durchaus interessante Themen ginge: Wieviel D-Mark hat Recky noch in alten, selbstgestrickten Socken von Omma versteckt? Wieso tanzt Daniel plötzlich den „Korobeiniki“? Und wann gibt es mal wieder die spannende Rubrik „Frag den Koch“? Die Stimmung ist dadurch eigentlich schnell wieder sehr rosig, allerdings zieht in unregelmäßigen Abständen ein unangenehmer Hauch von Gyros und Tzatziki aus euren Kopfhörern… „Verkocht und Abgedreht“ wünscht ab jetzt wöchentlich einen guten Start in das neue Jahr, welches jetzt schon viel aktueller als 2024 ist. Quedan menos de 12 meses para que se abra esa ventana de liquidez y el lobby del sector no está contento. De repente, lo que en 2015 se explicaba como una de las ventajas de los planes de pensiones hoy se presenta como un perjuicio para el partícipe. ¿Se trata de un desesperado intento por cerrar o modificar aquella ventana de liquidez? Recorded live at e-flux Screening Room on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 during a retrospective screening of selected works by Laure Prouvost. The pre-screening introduction by Amal Issa and Laure Prouvost is followed by a conversation between the artist and writer-curator Kathy Noble. The screening portion of the program featured a selection of works spanning the last decade: OWT (2007, 3 minutes), Finger Point Green (2010, 3 minutes), They Parlaient Idéale (29 minutes, 2019), Every Sunday, Grandma (2022, 7 minutes), OMA JE (You, My, Omma, Mama, Shadow Does, and A Walking Story) (2023, 22 minutes). Language—in its broadest sense—permeates the video, sound, installation, and performance work of Laure Prouvost. Known for her immersive and mixed-media installations that weave in film in humorous and idiosyncratic ways, Prouvost's work addresses miscommunication and ideas becoming lost in translation. Playing with language as a tool for the imagination, Prouvost is interested in confounding linear narratives and expected associations among words, images, and meaning. She combines existing and imagined personal memories with artistic and literary references to create complex works that muddy the distinction between fiction and reality. At once seductive and jarring, her approach to filmmaking employs layered storytelling, quick edits, montage, and wordplay, and is composed of a rich, tactile assortment of images, sounds, and spoken and written phrases.    Laure Prouvost (b. 1867, Lieumeconu, France) lives and works. Here a long list of museums and institutions. A line, interesting things, a coma, a line, a list of residencies and prizes. A selection of solo projects including: an Oma-je in Vienna, a flying Grandma in Oslo, Esmé Blue in Busan, Helsinki, and Madrid, an elastic arm hold in tight in Copenhagen, a Swallowing and Breathing in Eindhoven, a Smoking Mother in Copenhagen, a Melting Into Another in Lisbon and Sonsbeek, an Occupied Paradise in Aalst, Deep See Blue Surrounding You in Venice, Toulouse, and Lille, a Waiting Room with objects in Minneapolis, a New Museum for Granddad in Milano, a tearoom for Grandma in Derry, a karaoke room in Brussels, a new octopus ink vodka bar for Gregor in Rotterdam, A travel agency for an Uncle in Frankfurt, a lobby for love among the artists in the Hague and Luzern… tea bags, and wet floors and tentacules. Kathy Noble is a curator and writer based in New York, currently working as Senior Curator at Performa. There she previously served as Senior Curator and Head of Curatorial Affairs to oversee the program and curated numerous commissions. As Curator, Interdisciplinary, at Tate Modern she co-curated Tate Modern Live, The Long Weekend Festival, and Art in Action, the first program in The Tanks spaces. In 2016 she launched the inaugural Art Night festival with the Institute of Contemporary Arts, London, presenting ten site-specific projects at venues across Westminster. She has published numerous essays in books and magazines such as Artforum, frieze, and Mousse Magazine.
